((hugs)) Rusulka! that is so annoying!

Did a test this morning... BFN :( have some brownish discharge, so don't have a clue whether AF is on its way or if it is something else... it is bloody annoying!

eaglewings · 06/02/2012 16:43

Rusulka, I'm cross on your behalf, I'd also get a second opinion, say from an independent midwife.
Blue, hoping its just a blip and it wil be a BFP soon
Count, finger crossing for your wait
Moo, chase those results!

I will be bowing out for a few weeks, I've got a skin biopsy booked having seen the dermatologist today. Want to get the all clear before TTC again. Feeling rather :( as its been 18 months of ttc already. May need to accept my brood is complete.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/02/2012 16:47

Rusulka that is bloody shocking. How dare they! I believe Wii because I have a Wii and I am sure it never lies!! I think it's a bloody cheek that they are dictating to you how you can have your baby. Absolutely shocking!

We are here, rant away!!! And call them all the names you see fit to! :)

Blue is it just spottinh? If its brown then it could be implantation!?! Hope it's stopped and you get a BFP very soon! The negatives might just be indicative of early testing!!

Bluetinkerbell · 06/02/2012 16:51

It is AF... turned into red flow :(
really thought we had managed it this month! ah well... on to the next cycle... I have informed DH of his duties Wink

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/02/2012 16:51

Oh Eagle sorry you are leaving us.....for now. Hope everything goes ok with the biopsy and you know where we are if you need us!!

Meant to say, finally got through to the hospital! Spoke to the consultant, got his name wrong (took me by surprise as was not expecting anyone to answer), explained the situation, he told me his secretary wasn't in so I should call cack tomorrow to get my info up! WHAT???!!!!??? AAAARGH hospitals!! :(

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 06/02/2012 16:53

Crikey - keep cross posting!!

Blue so sorry about that fucking hag!! She can fuck right off! Fed up of her ugly whore like face!

Winkly · 06/02/2012 17:08

Oh Moo! Consultants may be very clever doctors (may be...) but I've not yet heard of a single one that was in any way useful at passing the results on.

Ru they weighed me about half a stone heavier than my Wii in hospital too. No constructive advice here except I believe there's private midwife led units that may be more helpful - but there could be ladies on the pregnancy boards that might be more informed than here?

So my fertile window starts on Wednesday apparently, but I'm currently puking my guts up, goodness only knows what bug I've picked up but feeling utterly rotten :(

Lilliana · 06/02/2012 21:39

Thanks Moo might put back in my temp from midday Blush and see if that forces a crosshairs. It's a pita that I missed those days. Can't believe you still haven't had results - rapidly losing faith in hospitals today.

Rusulka that surely is not going to help you. Agree with those who suggested a second opinion. Hope you can got something sorted that you are happy with. ((hug))

Sorry AF got you Blue I was feeling so hopeful for you this month.

Winkly, glad you are feeling a little better, it will happen, it just takes a little longer for some than others. I'm sure there is a good reason behind it and all will fall into place.

Hope all goes well Eagle and we see you again soon. You know where we are, even if you're not ttc for a bit you can hang around if you want :)

Lilliana · 07/02/2012 07:25

I have played around with the missing temp and it has not put dotted crosshairs on CD 15. Guess I'm just going to have to wait and see!

Moo regarding the ... ahem ... horniness. I don't know if it's in my head - ie I know I'm going to ov soon so want sex or if it's always been like this. Was on the pill for years and never really took notice of what time of the month it was so not sure. Anyway bit like you, lasts a few days decreasing until I just want to go to bed and sleep Grin

Count glad you are feeling chilled about the 2ww - long may it last (not the 2ww the chilledness!!!)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/02/2012 07:32

Good morning!! Lil so glad you have got those crosshairs, dotted or not!! As long as your temps stay high that's all that matters.

Managed to DTD last night, just in case I ov'd yesterday (although with all the negative OPKs, it's not looking likely). Horniness seems to ebbing away - was still a little up for it last night, but more because I think we needed to rather than a want Blush

Anyway, in good old mooley fashion, I have been playing around with my chart; and if I input temps for CD18 and 19, then my chart does this which for me does seem to fit in with the CM and OPKs etc. My only concern is that there is a possibility that I did not ov at all - does anyone think that i should ignore FF and override the system to match my positive OPKs?? I am just not convinced with it all because my temps are constantly hovering around the 36.18 to 36.2 mark and this makes me nervous.

Rusulka hope you are feeling less stressed today - just to echo what others have said, I agree that a second opinion would be a good course of action!!

Blue hope you are doing ok :)

Bluetinkerbell · 07/02/2012 09:47

thanks Moo I'm not really... had a breakdown last night... think I'm going to leave all the conception/pregnancy threads for a while...

Rusulka · 07/02/2012 17:19

Sorry to hear you have been feeling blue, Blue. Sorry to see you go for a while, but take care of yourself and try to relax, de-stress... forget about trying to conceive, and just reconnect with your DH. We conceived with the best sex of our lives so far, in that moment it was just us, me and him, and nobody and nothing else mattered. We were 100% in the moment. In the background of my mind, I knew I was ov-ing, and of course I'd been temping and POAOS, but I just shoved it to the back of my mind, and tried to concentrate on us for a change. And it worked. FX the same happens for you. X

JamRagRolyPoly · 07/02/2012 17:21

I had a positive opk today, cd11 so I seem to ovulate quite early.

Confused about the opk, I took it just now so does that mean I'm currently ovulating or I'm going to soon?

Have I missed my chance this month?

We SWI on Saturday and Sunday but not last night to give him a break

Rusulka · 07/02/2012 17:56

Jam it means you're about to ovulate in the next 12-48 hours, depending on your body. I used to get a peak reading about 2 days before ov.

I'm still grumpy incidentally.

Tried to talk to my dad today and started crying, he told me he'd hang up if I didn't calm down, and that I was making a fuss over nothing. Fucking men!!!!
Still, he's right. At the end of the day, whatever part of the hospital I have peanut in, I'll be transferred to the same ward as everyone else (dependent on outcome). He also said my mum didn't give a fuck where she was, she just wanted me out and healthy. I pointed out that this was 1981, in a German RAF hospital, and there weren't any options then, but he wasn't having any of it. Apparently I am spoilt. Really wanted a water birth though... Or at least some toast when I felt like it.

If I weighed 12st instead of 16 st, then I'd be at the top end of the overweight category instead of the obese one. I'm thinking no chocolate or crisps for the next 7 months, lots of exercise, and hopefully at the end a nice great big fuck you to the NHS. Grin

Lilliana · 07/02/2012 19:01

Rusulka a big fat fuck you could be just the incentive you need. Judging from this board I think you could manage to do anything you put your mind to

Sorry your dad wasn't more supportive but I guess I can see his point that the most important thing is a healthy baby at the end, HOWEVER, if you can make the experience calmer and more relaxed for mum surely they should do everything they can to ensure that happens. Really hope you can have your water birth etc, that's how I would like it too not that I've thought about it obsessively despite not being pg

Blue so sorry you're down. I left for a while and it gave me lots of perspective. Look after yourself and drop in and let us know when you get your BFP! Don't forget you'll always be welcome back if / when you want to.

Ohh Jam get Dh to the bedroom Wink

Moo I would have said maybe CD 16 judging by temps, it seems to shift there and remain up. Although agree 13 works with cm and okp's Confused What did it look like before you fiddled?

DeeLite · 07/02/2012 20:10

Hello everyone.

Rusulka I'm sorry about your midwife and her failure to weigh you accurately. You must be really annoyed. I agree with Lil's comment that you seem like someone who would take childbirth in their stride and it is very unfair that you are being denied your birth of choice. I had my DS in hospital and I wasn't altogether happy about the way things progressed and feel I would have had a better experience in a birthing centre. My trouble was that the birthing centre for my area is about 25 miles from the nearest hospital and my DH was not keen for me to be that far from an operating theatre.

Blue I really do sympathise with how you're feeling. I was pretty down in the dumps by the time I got my BFP and was starting to look on the IVF threads, think about adoption (I'm a pessimist, by the way!) and generally thought I'd missed my chance. I can only echo what Rusulka said about the sex though. We used to have mechanical reluctant sex ED during my fertile period but had amazing sex just twice in my fertile period in my pg cycle. I also eased off on the booze and ate five brazil nuts a day but I think it was the sex wot done it (if that's not stating the obvious).

Oh yes, one more thing: I think I ovulated at least 48 hours after my positive OPK - Jamrolypoly take note!

Mooley did you get to speak properly with anyone at the hospital yet?

Meanwhile, I've been having some spotting this week. Brown and pink mucous with no pain but I rang my doctor and he's got me an early scan this Friday. I had spotting the same time my last pregnancy so am hoping this is also benign but am obviously a little anxious. I had a really busy weekend and did lots of heavy lifting and housework and racing about so I'm not sure whether it's related. The midwife made lots of "tssk" noises when I told her that. I still have no symptoms apart from sore boobs but I am getting super-strong lines on my IC's the second I PIAP so I didn't see any need to modify my behaviour Confused. I am now taking everything down a gear and currently sitting on the sofa while DH prepares our supper. Never an ill wind etc.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/02/2012 20:15

Blue I understand how you feel, it does good to get away from it all!! You know where we are if/when you are ready to come back :)

Rusulka sorry your still feeling glum (prob all those hormones) and men are truly unsympathetic and useless sometimes! And yes, you stick those two fingers up at the hospital!! I'm behind you 200%

Lil I agree that today's temp rise and the fake temps I put in do indicate CD16 as ov day but when I take my ^fake temps out, today's rise is not enough for the crosshairs! Just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings! If my body can muster temps of 36.27 today it can jolly well do it tomorrow!!

Finally got word back from the hospital, DH has to do a second sample but all my results were clear :) gotta wait til March sometime for the HSG!!

DeeLite · 07/02/2012 20:43

Really pleased your results were clear Moo. Hope your DH's come back clear too and that you get pg before March but good to have the ball rolling as a precaution anyway.

Maisie55 · 07/02/2012 21:05

Hi all, just catching up once again.

Blue sorry to hear you're down, I hope a break helps and you're able to relax (easier said than done I know!) do pop in now and again though if you feel like it.

Moo great news about your results! bit of a pain to have to wait til March for the HSG - lets hope you dont need it!

Dee hope the spotting clears up - good plan to let DH look after you for a bit, try to take it easy, although I know how it is to feel like you can't do anything or people will tell you off!

Rusulka am annoyed on your behalf about the whole hospital/birth choice issue!! So many births seem to go wrong as a result of unnecessary intervention which causes stress to Mother and baby you think they'd let people at least start with their preferred approach and see how it goes! Grrrr!

I'm not a knitting person but was reading through all the posts about knitting sleeping bags and socks and such like and someone mentioned dressing babies in black and I wondered if anyone had seen this website?

nippazwithattitude.com

Maisie55 · 07/02/2012 21:11

oops posted too early!!

www.nippazwithattitude.com

It has some unusual stuff on there for babies and children (including some black stuff!).

So, to update on my situation, is CD40 and I finally cracked and POAS and it was BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I even went mad and got a CBD for the occassion and it said 'Pregnant 2-3 weeks'.

I think I'm in shock a bit as I was so sure AF was just around the corner as I had cramping for a few days from last tues, then really bad cramps overnight at the weekend (although now wondering if I actually dreamt those), and I have had cycles as long as 38 days before so I didn't want to get my hopes up too much but decided that 40 days was long enough to wait.

Its so good to be able to share this with you guys as I cant tell anyone in RL yet, except DH of course who is over the moon.

So I should be joining some of you on the antenatal boards soon hopefully (keeping fingers crossed it will be a smooth pregnancy) but I will still be hanging around here too until you all get your BFPs!!

Grin Grin Grin Grin

Lilliana · 07/02/2012 21:27

Yay maisie!!! Congratulations :) :) :) :) :)

alexeliza · 07/02/2012 21:31

Hi all

Rusulka - I can't believe you were treated like that! So sorry to hear that you won't be able to have the water birth you wanted. It all seems very unfair and very over the top.

Moo - so glad to hear your results were all clear! I had a look at your chart but I'm going to be no help at all - I'm still trying to get the gist of how it all works! I do hope you ov'd this month though in two weeks have the BFP you want!!

Blue - so sorry to hear you're down..... it does seem to become all encompassing and frustratating - hope things improve and you feel better soon.

Dee - keeping my fingers crossed that everything's all okay and the spotting is nothing. Hopefully the early scan will be a positive experience and you get to see your baby soon!!

Jam - hope the SWI is going well - fingers crossed for BFP this month!!

I think I actually ov'd yesterday (CD11). I was fairly sure that I had a positive OPK test a couple of days ago (I find it so hard to be sure with those cheapie tests) and then suddenly my temp dipped yesterday morning (and rose significantly this morning), CM has been EW and (sorry - may be TMI) my cervix was open (I have never ever had that before ?!) - it was effectively closed again this morning. I know I have to wait 2 more days to check temps but it seems to be the case I think.

As I discovered last month it's much earlier than I was expecting (I was assuming CD14/15) but this month I was prepared. I managed to nab DH 3 times since Thursday night, so hopefully that will be enough!!! Fingers crossed. So will be testing on 21 Feb when I'm away - it seems to tie in with the 26 day cycle I had last month. I guess time will tell!

alexeliza · 07/02/2012 21:33

Maisie - congratulations!!! So happy for you!!!!

JamRagRolyPoly · 07/02/2012 21:42

Congrats Maisie!!

Note taken deelite we'll just have to SWI all week!

Winkly · 07/02/2012 22:28

Maisie - huge congratulations!

Blue - sorry you feel so down. I know how you feel, really. Hope you feel better soon.

Ok. So I had my period last week. But now I've been queasy and vomiting on and off for the last few days, and suddenly my boobs are huge and sore. Am I totally crazy to wonder if my (short, light) period wasn't actually a period?
