Whoop for the temp rise and the feeling better, so glad Moo. I know how hard it is to keep postitive all the time.

The hats made me chuckle. I quite fancy one and yes oddly the boob hat is quite cute too!

Nothing to report here but been too busy getting ready to go on holiday to spend much time thinking about it. Being honest, I don't think it's our month.

Have updated stats, hope you don't mind me moving you up maisie. Jam I have stuck your name in randomly, just copy and paste to add stats or write them here and someone else will do it (not sure if you are on a phone which can make it tricky)

Afternoon ladies.

Very quiet on here today; hope everyone is ok.

Lil when do you go on holiday? Sometimes not having any symptoms is just as good as having them. Tbh, I think it's a bit of a lottery. Some months you could have loads of symptoms and think yes, this is our month and AF shows on time or even earlier than expected. The following month you might have no symptoms and the hag still rears her ugly face. Only time will tell.

Flour I notice from the stats list that AF is due with you tomorrow. Are you considering testing? Or have you done so yet? Hope it's good news.

There aren't that many of us left now. Come on ladies - let's all get those BFPs and jump onto a pg bus together - i think that would be just lovely Grin Bear

festiemum · 09/02/2012 14:57

Hello ladies!

So sorry I've been AWOL. Actually, I have been lurking and following all your progress, but feeling too rough to post. The last thing I wanted to do was come on here and moan about my pregnancy woes when this is the safe place for ttc-ers to rant and talk about their trials and tribulations.

Still, after a couple of days off; I seem to be managing the symptoms a bit better, so that's a relief!

Well done to maisie ! That's brilliant. Sorry the hag got you, blue. Hope everyone else is ok! xxx

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 15:14

Oh no festie please feel free to moan - it might help us in the old symptom spotting to hear real pg symptoms, rather than asking Dr. Google for answers to every ailment. Glad you are feeling better nonetheless and glad that you have returned. We missed you :)

Jam glad you have managed to update stats and sorry that we missed you off Blush. Are you any clearer on when ov may have occurred? I do hope so :)

I am not having a very productive day at all. Went to one meeting, nearly slipped on the sodding freezing rain and then my other meeting was cancelled because the contractor could not pour the concrete slab in the cold. Ok, technically you can't, but it buggered up my afternoon plans!

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 15:43

hi mooley don't worry, I got there in the end Wink I'm thinking ovation was either yesterday or today as my cm is wetter and clear today. Thanks for asking.

Glad you've had a good temp rise and sore boobs are always good in this game!

Used Preseed last night, has anyone tried it?

I really hope this is our month!

Will you be testing before your period is due or are you a 'wait til it's late' kinda gal?

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 15:43

Ovulation* flipping iphone

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 09/02/2012 16:43

Grin at the ovation Grin. I use pre-seed, mainly because I never used to really see the EWCM but now I must confess, I use it for convenience! It's great for TTC when you just want a quickie Grin Blush

Oooh your CM sounds positively positive!! Really hope this is our month and we can move to a nice shiny pg plane :)

I confess I'm a bit of a POASaholic but have told myself that there will be no early testing this month. I might test the day before AF and then it's a wait and see game. I do feel very.........peculiar! I almost feel like I'm occupying someone else's body.

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 16:52

Totally agree re using preseed for convenience! DP got into bed last night hoping for a night off, I persuaded him with a bribe of no foreplay ha ha

When do you think it's safe to stop SWI? I'm cd13 now..

My DP doesn't have a high sex drive but he's been really good this week, hasn't complained too much as he really wants this too, and knows it's important we shag a lot.

Your symptoms sound very good, I'm excited for you! a lot of women report symptoms as soon as they have conceived such as nausea, sore breasts.

It's got to the point now where I've POsomanydamnS and never had a second line that I never think I will see one! Sad

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 09/02/2012 18:07

Oh Jam I know exactly how you feel; I'm so use to seeing one line that I just expect it now.

I think you should continue to SWI until you are completely 100% certain that you have ov'd - or at least until all the fertile CM has gone, at least that way you can be sure you are no longer fertile.

Well done to your DH though :) I don't have a high sex drive so find myself forcing sex because I know how important it is and how much I want this!!

Discolite · 09/02/2012 18:52

Massive congratulations Maisie!

Hi Jam like the no foreplay bribe! Who needs all that pesky touching anyway Grin I also thought all my pregnancy tests were duds after 6 months of only seeing one line, so don't give up hope. I used pre-seed on and off, including the occasion when I conceived but I don't think it was the pre-seed as I didn't get pregnant all the other flipping times!

I'm glad you've ovulated Moo hurrah! That makes two normal cycles in a row, does it not?! It does seem to be that just when you are at your lowest that something good happens the next day.

I suppose that hat is what babies would choose if they could Lil as it is pretty much their favourite thing!

Sorry you are feeling rough Festie. Do you have morning sickness then? I've had a couple of mornings of nausea but nothing to show for it! I'm dreading being sick in school, I have no idea how I'm going to cover it up. There are toilets within the classroom (odd set up I know) so whilst I can get to the loo easily my class will be able to hear every retch Sad

Rusulka in this case the NHS sucks! I do hope you lose the weight so you can stick two fingers up at their consultant led care. Screw them!

Hope you have a nice holiday Alex.

I got my first scan appointment through yesterday, it's in less than 3 weeks now! I was a bit Hmm cos I'll be just under 8 weeks by my calculations and in the letter it said the scan needs to be done between 11 and 13 weeks. It may be irresponsible of me, but I'm not going to tell them as I was going to pay for a private scan at 8 weeks anyway in case of mmc. I'll just have to have another scan a few weeks later, which is such a drag Smile. I still don't understand why it's so early though, they know my LMP date! Excited and a bit nervous at the same time.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 09/02/2012 19:39

Oooooh Disco how exciting about the scan!!! Fab that you're getting it earlier than planned as well!!! How are you feeling?

Yes.......it would seem that I have ov'd two months in a row!!! Just hope those spermies met the eggy and I get a little beanie in my belly Grin

Discolite · 09/02/2012 21:05

It is exciting! I'm five weeks today. My main symptoms are still the incredibly hurty boobs and a bloated stomach. And obsessive knicker checking - you think it's bad when ttc, but man alive it's bad with me at the moment! Also alternating days of diarrhoea and constipation (sorry), it reminds me of when I had IBS. I veer between being very happy and paranoid it's all going to go wrong, but I suppose that is normal.

Ovulating two normal length cycles in a row is fantastic news though Moo, that means you have normal length odds of getting pregnant too! Here you go, here's a few shakes of that magic spermy wand from earlier on in the thread to give you a bit of luck Smile

I'm just waiting for everyone on this thread to get pregnant so I can relocate to the pregnancy board! The problem with the antenatal threads is that there can be hundreds of people on there, so it can feel rather impersonal. I haven't really bothered yet, I'm far too at home here :)

Maisie55 · 09/02/2012 21:27

Evening all, how are you all doing?

Thanks for moving me up Lil still cant believe its happened to be honest!! We havent told anyone else yet (although we have only known for three days!!).

Moo good news re the ov, fingers crossed this will continue and a BFP is in the post!

Jam I used preseed this last cycle that I conceived, its the first cycle we've used it so I am definitely recommending, although it could just have been our month, who knows. If anything it definitely helps when its just got to be a quickie!

I too am much more at home on this thread rather than the antenatal ones, I have had a quick look but they are all quite busy already and I feel like we've all come so far together that it would be great if we could all end up on a pregnancy thread together.

Don't really have any symptoms yet, slightly sore boobs but thats about it, I better make a midwife booking in appt soon, I think I had it at about 8 weeks with DS.

Anyway, sending lots of positive vibes to the group! Nearly the weekend at least!

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 22:07

Oooh getting excited now with all these preseed successes!

Congratulations to you both Discolite and Maisie glad you're doing well, it's nice once people get their BFPs they come back to offer support Smile

Disco not only have I been known to use no foreplay as a bribe (did anyone ever see that Friends when Monica was ovulating and they were arguing but had to still have sex? Grin) but tonight I said to DP, if we do it tonight you can play on your xbox all night. His eyes lit up like a teenager, he likes his games even though he's 32 Hmm

mooley congrats on ovulating twice now! I don't know your history but will try and read the whole thread when I have time.
Thanks for the tips, I will definitely keep SWI for a few more days. Currently have my bum propped on a pillow Grin

JamRagRolyPoly · 09/02/2012 22:09

Tmi update on my cm too, went loo earlier and wiped, lots of stringy clear cm. I knew then that we had to carry on!

Countmyblessings · 09/02/2012 23:19

Hi all - just checking on anymore positive results!!!!!
MooWoo- congrats on the positive ov-ing!!!!!!! get in there good and proper!!!!
LOL - at the boob beanie my friend had that on FB and found it funny then!!!
hope everyone else is good, disco - ohhh scan - a chance to see your bean on the screen!
Festie- we are in this together offload as much as you need to (cyber hugs)
Maisie- glad to have you stay around, its nice to know we started this journey and how we will All be going through this journey at different times, but together!
Jam - it sounds good all signs leads to ov-ing!!!!!!!

not feeling as hopeful as i did, getting that AF is round the corner and aching and sore boobs it hurt when i was in the shower duhhhhh! i know i shouldn't but i guess I'm so aware of what i want the signs scares me! I'm only at CD24 and still unsure if I'm on a 28/33 day cycle as 33 last month, 33???????????? scared to even tempt testing as will be gutted to see a negative!
ok, ok ( goes back to the corner clinging onto my negative vibes)

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 10/02/2012 06:55

Morning ladies :)

Jam to save you having to read back through pages of text (plus I think some of my history is on an old thread) I'll give you a brief background now!

I came off the POP (evil cerezette) in June 2010 after being on it for 4 years, as I wanted to regulate my cycles (I never bled in 4 years Shock) I did not get my first period until May 2011 (even more Shock). Since then my cycles have ranged from a normal 28/29 to a ridiculously epic 77 (with a 57 and a 62 thrown in there for good measure). At this point I decided enough was enough and went to see my GP. He was lovely and really sympathetic and ran some blood tests and arranged a transvaginal ultrasound and appointment with the Gynaecologist.

Anyway, long story short, my hormones are all out of whack, I have PCOS and I basically don't ov (all that often). It makes TTC not only very difficult but even more frustrating than it needs to be. To ov in successive months is nothing short of a miracle Grin

By the way Jam glad you have kept up the SWI and love your bribery tricks with DH - good work :)

Maisie glad you are going to be sticking around. I reckon if you can all hold tight, we could form our own pg group. Please please please (and this goes to all our newly updiffed friends) share your experiences, your rants, your excitement, your fears. We started this journey together and are here for you whether TTC or coping with morning sickness :)

Count how lovely to see you!! Hurty boobs is a positive sign and until that hag shows it ain't over! And no skulking off to the corner to be negative - we understand how hard it is month after month but we will get there.....I promise!

Well temp dropped dramatically this morning and FF moved my ov day from CD13 to CD14 Hmm and So in good old Mooley fashion I did some experimenting with my temps. If tomorrow it's the same or lower then I lose my crosshairs - if it stays that way for the next couple of days it remains the same, but if it goes up at any point my crosshairs reappear and ov moves back to CD13 Confused

Have written this on the train........now feel very sick :(

Lilliana · 10/02/2012 07:37

Hi everyone, running late today and have loads to do as off tonight :)
Will be back next sunday (hopefully + bean!!) Will try to pop in later and catch up with you all.
Please don't all disappear before I get home! Have a good week and hope there are some more BFP when I get back.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 10/02/2012 07:45

Lil hope you have a good holiday and that your return sees a BFP :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 10/02/2012 08:12

Morning!

Hope everyone is in good spirits today!

Mooley so sorry to hear you've been through loads of shit with the pill, I'm really glad to hear things are looking up. Keep up the ovulating! Wink

I've been there. Was on the evil depo injection for a couple of years and it took my cycles two years to get back to normal. I had the opposite problem, whereby I didn't stop bleeding for a year and a half Sad so I know how you're feeling x

Liliana have a fab holiday!

No real updates from me, except in was having some period-like cramps this morning

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 10/02/2012 09:21

Oh Jam seems that we have been in a similar situation. Damn the pill etc for their evil ways - but hopefully we are both on the right track now :)

Period-like cramps could be indicative of ov :) and I have just done some calculations for you and if AF is due on 24th and you have a 13/14 day LP then ov today is highly likely :) :) :) grab DH, bribe him with no foreplay and games on the Xbox and get down to some passionate SWI :)

JamRagRolyPoly · 10/02/2012 09:50

The cramps were in the middle too, not on one side like I thought.

I've done some reading on timing sex around ov, and apparently doing it leading up to ov is a better way of success than doing it after, as it's too late by then. What do you think of that?

Thank you so much mooley for doing those calculations for me! Much appreciated. If I had ewcm yesterday afternoon and cramps this morning, it looks like you're right. So glad we've been SWI all week. Will be bribing him again tonight!

Didn't use preseed last night as I felt my own cm was probably best.

What did they recommend for your cycles, mooley? my dr just said that I have to wait and give it time - guess he was right, but bloody infuriating at the time!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 10/02/2012 10:21

Jam I agree, SWI'ing after ov is no good because the egg will be starting to break down and I don't think that the spermies will have enough time to get to it (I think the egg only survives for 24 hours). I think the day after ov is ok because you may still be able to catch the egg depending on when it was actually released (it could break through from the ovaries in the early hours of the morning) but any time after this is far too late.

We started SWI'ing from CD10 ED (i hopefully ov'd on CD13), missed out CD15 and then again on CD16 as i had a temp drop and thought if I ov then at least I will have covered all my bases.

Case of wait and see what the temps do. Feel absolutely rubbish at the moment. Feel really spaced out, like I have been taking out of my body. Plus i have a headache.

JamRagRolyPoly · 10/02/2012 10:35

I hate 'wait and see' and the dreaded tww! I'm just worried about stopping sex incase I haven't actually ov'd. Will keep at it, poor DP!

Keep us posted on your temps, I hope your symptoms are of the right sort and not a nasty bug.

I stopped smoking 5 days ago now due to ttc. DP had one the other day but that's it, cravings keep creeping in though!

Anyone else given up anything?
