As we share this journey!

DeeLite · 25/01/2012 08:41

On my phone so sorry in advance for mistakes!

moo another thing to note is that I had low temps yesterday and the day before but it went back up today. My spotting was mainly brown but some pink. Bit mucousy and just enough to warrant a liner. Not sure if it is over yet but none so far today. Hope that helps.

Loving the idea of us all staying together on this thread whether pg or not.

Planning to wait until Friday CBD (hopefully good news) to surprise DH.

DeeLite · 25/01/2012 08:46

PS - thanks for the promotion. I feel very blessed to see my name up there. Here's hoping I stay and get more company very soon. moo reading back, your spotting was much less than mine so no way it could have been your AF.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/01/2012 09:15

Right ladies, yes Festie you are very correct that I used an IC (damn those cheapies!). I might try and get one later tonight - have to go and register at the dentists near us at DH's orders, so will ask him if we can pop to the chemists at the same time! I might just order some though and have them for next day delivery!!

My spotting has been mainly brown, but with pinkish streaks and then back to brown again but never enough for a pad. I do not believe that this was AF!

Interestingly though, I have just signed up to the TCOYF website and have entered all my data for this month in there and they have put ov day as CD10 which puts me at 15dpo today rather than 18 [hmmm]

Rusulka · 25/01/2012 10:37

Congrats Festie and Dee!!!

Also Festie a PG thread is useful, on mine there are practically hundreds of people all due in Sept, and it's nice to reassure myself that there are other people who have no symptoms, or who had spotting like me, and there were people who actually had an MC, so I knew what to expect if it happened. They're useful, they're just not, you know, you lot...

Moo, I think if you check you'll check that fecking FF made my crosshairs dotty the month I conceived, so shows what she knows, lol.

Don't give up hope just yet, and even if it has all gone to shit this month, remember, you ov'd! Whoop!

And Lil I just found out I was PG, it was Christmas, and there was toblerone and eclairs everywhere, of course I forgot about the quality street!

So... this thread... shall we call it Switzerland? Grin
And where shall we set it up?

Rusulka · 25/01/2012 10:40

In other news an Avon lady just came to the door, asking if I wanted to be an Avon lady, as my road's currently free. Hmm. Well I am between temp jobs...
But can I be arsed?
For every £200 of orders I get, I personally receive £50. It would be more money for peanut... but equally, MiL is coming to stay from beginning of March to probably mid August (gulp) on and off- and DH is charging her £75 a week while she's here. (She is a bit of a nightmare, tbh- not mean, just difficult and vague, and has me ripping me hair out after a week)
Think the MiL project is more lucrative, lol.

Anyone ever been an Avon lady? Is it worth it?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/01/2012 10:49

Don't know anything about being an Avon lady, but i sympathise with having your MiL staying for such a long time. Hope she doesn't bring on any more spotting for you (i think I read somewhere that you had put the spotting down to coinciding with your MiL being there Grin)

festiemum · 25/01/2012 10:49

It's just not enough for af by the sounds of it moo. I'd def be tempted to have a go with a more reputable brand. Hmm, you know, I'm trusting ff less and less. If I'd taken heed of the ov day that gave me initially, we wouldn't have conceived this month. So maybe you're not as many dpo as you thought....

rusulka - just checked out the sep thread - it's not all that exciting, is it? And I've noticed your posts are quite restrained, like you feel you're having to hold yourself back! :o I'm sorry, but I need to feel I can say anything, particularly when me enormous piles set in later on etc! :o Anyway, my due date looks to be about 3rd oct, so I wouldn't be allowed in the sep thread anyway!

Needless to say, I'm sticking with you filthy lot!

F tightly x for a lovely pos CBD for you on Friday, dee x

iloveberries · 25/01/2012 10:56

hey ladies, back again :)

I think i said this before but been trying not to obsess too much on MN and chill out with TTC. Still no BFP and currently waiting for AF to fuck off go so we can get started again!

Just caught up with the WONDERFUL NEWS of festie whooop! go girl! thoroughly chuffed for you and dee - YAY! excellent news. REally happy for you both. So it does happen then!! I wish you both happy and healty pregnancies :)

I got a text from the last of my close group of 6 mum friends this morning to tell me she is PG so just me left trying. Sobbed which i know is silly but the selfish little girl in me is shouting "why not me??". We're onto month 6 now so even though i know it's early days i still feel like it's been bloody ages.

How is everyone else doing? Moo - still see you're as dedicated as ever. You deserve this mate. As do all you other lovely ladies trying for a little one. Good Luck :)

xxx

Rusulka · 25/01/2012 10:59

Oh Festie, they don't seem to swear much, and I think if I let rip fully wigs would fly off! Sigh.

eaglewings · 25/01/2012 11:12

Moo, what a horrid time, the not knowing!

Nothing on the test today, will wait till the weekend - pigs might fly Grin

Winkly · 25/01/2012 11:55

Hello, I'm just back holiday and halfway through the 2ww.

Congrats to the newly pregnant, comiserations to those disappointed and hand holding ansympathy to those in limbo!

Notinmykitchen · 25/01/2012 16:38

Congratulations Festie and Dee glad to see we are finally getting some BFP's! Moo as you have said before yourself all is not lost until that evil hag shows her face, so I'm still hopeful for you! Lets hope there will be lots more, and this thread will consist entirely of pregnant ladies before too long! Welsome back Winkly

Discolite · 25/01/2012 16:40

FESTIE! Oh my goodness! What wonderful news, I'm delighted for you! Especially after the crappy 6 months you've had lately. How has DH taken it? I expect you'll have a slightly reduced repeat prescription for the LBP now Wink So, any tips for the as-yet-unpregnant ladies here? Or was it simply giving it enough shots?

Dee again, fabulous news! Congratulations!

Moo I just don't know what to think, but I definitely know that there is still hope. After all the tricks your body has played on you, I see no reason why it shouldn't have one last little trick up its sleeve for you...

I just hope that all this pregnantness is catching! Still, in 6 days time I'll hopefully find out if cycle 7 has been successful. Fingers, toes, eyes, everything crossed!

Oh Berries lovely to have you back! How are you feeling now? I'm sorry about you being the last in the group, but you know statistically that someone has to be AND that it doesn't mean it'll never happen, just that you'll appreciate being pregnant all the more when it finally comes to you. You'll get there!

Rusulka sounds like crap money to me! Realistically, how many orders worth £200 could you get? Unless you work your socks off pounding the pavement then I can't see how it makes economic sense.

Lil can I join you in Switzerland? Pleeeease?

Hi Eagle and Winkly!

Winnie81 · 25/01/2012 17:24

Hi ladies! Well done to all those BFPs and we will all cross our fingers for those with BFNs

I started a thread for October babies if anyone wants to join that! "the first pips"!

All good here made appointment with doc re BFP!

festiemum · 25/01/2012 18:50

Thanks ladies for all your lovely good wishes. Still quite stunned!

winnie have posted in pips - love that name! But you havent got rid of me that easily here. I'll still be hanging round like a bad smell! :o xxxx

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/01/2012 20:01

Evening ladies! Berries good to see you back Grin I know how you feel though, "why not me" indeed!!

I quite fancy the idea of Switzerland too :)

Who's next on the list to test then?

Spotting seems to have finally given up the ghost :) and I swear if it turns out that I'm not pg then something is wrong. Firstly, got really bad motion sickness reading on my phone on the train home (I never get this in the 12 months I've been getting the train), then whilst cooking dinner i noticed a lot of smoke whilst chatting to DH and turned around to discover that I had completely forgotten that I'd left the frying pan on the hob, on high, with oil in! Then after dinner I suddenly just burst into tears on DH (got upset thinking it just might never happen).

On a less weird note, I did some more research this evening and apparently brown spotting is quite common with PCOS, so I'm wondering if it could be something to do with that!

festie and Dee how ya both doing??

Maisie55 · 25/01/2012 20:01

This thread has become edge of the seat stuff!!

Moo I'm gutted for you! I can sense your frustration, hang in there, if it is over this month at least you ov'd (clinging on to that silver lining!)

Festie thats amazing! Congratulations! DH can have a well earned break now!

Welcome back Berries nice to see you again, I have somewhat abandoned the CBFM thread and have taken up residence here instead!

Ooooh Dee!! That will be a great present to surprise DH with!

Waves to everyone else in the cabin!

So, I am on CD27, CBFM reckons peak on Sunday and Monday just gone and got a noticeable temp rise this morning (am still v new to temping though!) so think ov has occurred! CBFM gave highs from CD19 so we are SWI'd out at the moment, DH out tonight so having a night off but back on it tomorrow just in case, then I can settle into the horrendous 2WW. Having said that if CBFM is to be believed, LP is only 9/10 days so the 2ww could be over by middle of next week! Gahh I hate the waiting game, still I feel we will have done all we possibly could this month so time will tell....

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 25/01/2012 20:06

Maisie yes very frustrated, angry, pissed off and fed up. I never expected it to happen straight away I just never envisaged it would take this long, be this hard and be so emotional!

Seems like you will have done all you can; at least you can go into the 2ww safe in that knowledge. 'Tis in the lap of the gods now :)

DeeLite · 25/01/2012 21:51

Thanks everyone for the congrats - hopefully they aren't premature.

Poor you Moo. It must be heartbreaking to have your hopes lifted and now feel like it's slipping away. I'm so sure you're still in though. I'm crossing my fingers very tightly for elevated temps for you tomorrow and then a BFP on your CBD on Friday.

DeeLite · 26/01/2012 06:17

Confused BFN with blue dye IC at 5am this morning - nothing showing up within the 10 minute window but a faint line when I read it now - an hour later.

I suppose I have to heed my own advice and sit tight for CBD results tomorrow morning. Annoyingly, I wasn't able to temp as DH has a cold and took his temperature yesterday morning and we now can't find the thermometer Angry.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 26/01/2012 06:59

Dee I don't trust blue dye tests. Remember that hCG doubles every 48 hours. If you had a BFP yesterday and it came up with colour within the time limit then it's positive. As I have been told, to get colour in the second line, no matter how faint, you have to have hCG in your urine. In early pg, hCG can fluctuate. Hold off and test with pink dye on the morrow!

I know how disappointing this is to have joy turn quickly to despair.

And bad DH for losing your thermometer! Men......tsk!

Lilliana · 26/01/2012 07:13

Everyone is welcome in switzerland Disco

Moo any news this morning? It's more edge of your seat and drawn out than Eastenders!! Hope you have some good news (or at least and answer either way)

Sorry Dee it must be horrible but you know ICs are unreliable (I only use them as I have a weird POAS obsession and my finances won't stretch to cover my p habits on a decent stick!) Hang in there and see what CB brings.

Maisie sounds like you've done all you can, hope the 2ww goes quickly for you.

Festie has it sunk in yet? How are you feeling? Glad you're sticking around.

berries nice to see you popping in, how is keeping the stress down going? I know what you mean about being the last one - my 2 friends are now both pg with their second and we started trying shortly after they announced their first. On the bright side they will have loads of baby stuff you can borrow and will save a fortune Grin

SWI is not going well :( Not desperate yet but wanted to get a good lot in. DH is shattered by the time we get to bed, but I have been trying not to mention it so we can have stress free, fun swi. Maybe I'm going to have to rethink this and remind him he needs to do his part too!!

DeeLite · 26/01/2012 08:22

Have been researching spotting and low hcg levels and am now a bit worried that I have a bean that is not going to stick. I don't suppose there's anything I can do but wait though. Ho hum. It is not easy this whole ttc lark.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 26/01/2012 09:14

Oh Dee it is soooooo hard; but as i said before, i don't trust blue dye tests (i don't really trust internet cheapies). The worst thing you can do is look for information on Google; i know, I have been doing it since the spotting started. In my very humble opinion you need to back......away......from.......Google.

Lil not really anything to report here; think that AF might be on it's way for real now though because i have the cramping back and i am really fecking irritable. CP is high, softish and closed though so not sure what gives. I am wondering whether the spotting (which has now finally stopped) was just a warning flare, so to speak, and my body is gearing up for AF in all her red glory!

Festie how are you feeling today???

Any more testers?

eaglewings · 26/01/2012 09:19

Just been reading one of the books by the East End midwife, there is a story of a teenager who gave birth to triplets, she had no idea she was expecting more than one!
Just made me think, how I rely on POAS and early scans and have no patience to wait 2weeks, let alone 7 months to find out what's happening! Boy am I glad I am alive in 2012 not 1950!

Is this plane headed for Geneva? Can we fill up on Swiss chocolate?
