Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

BLOODY HELL MUNX!!!!!!!!! THAT IS F**KING FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Ooops, gotta go - read more later

blondemomentsahoy · 16/01/2012 10:28

Congrats Munx!!

SweetieDoesIt · 16/01/2012 10:48

Olives glad you are feeling a bit better this morning. Fx for the implantation - of course that is what it is Wink

Pop you get going with the SWI. It is amazing that the gadget can know these thing . Fx you will be joining Munx very soon.

Watched both Midwife thing and Sherlock. Really enjoyed both, although Sherlock left me a bit Confused. Apparently Miranda is in next weeks Midwife so was let off this week.

Stasi · 16/01/2012 10:57

Morning all. Going to make this a quick post, as I'm going to try my hardest to get a full day of real work in!

First and foremost - Congratulations Munx there seemed to be something dodgy with all those positive OPKs, so glad it turned into a bean! Lots and lots of brooking for a nice healthy, and very sticky bean.

Popcorn hope you're not going to have any problems meeting this egg. Your DH has never seemed shy about the SWI right, so you shouldn't have any problem meeting this challenge.

Sweetie and Beedle Sorry AF arrived for you both. New cycle, new possibilities - this will be the one!

Hope you're feeling better Olives.

I'm feeling quite positive about this cycle, just nearing the end of AF now, and I'm going to try and be much more in control - OPKs, longer spaced SWI (maybe abstain for 5 days before Ov), then lots of head standing after SWI to give the swimmers a helping hand. Poor things aren't strong swimmers, much like me.

whimsicalname · 16/01/2012 11:47

Nipping in to say Congrats Munx

Hope you're feeling better green, and that the square babysitter allowed you a restful afternoon.

Bah to AF Sweetie and beedle

Morning to Stasi, bean, pop, maybe, imps

Apologies for offending anyone I've forgotten.

whimsicalname · 16/01/2012 11:48

Oh, and for the record, DH is neither 007 or Daniel Craig-a-like. But I love him anyway.

beangrower · 16/01/2012 12:49

Well if Mr W was like the Daniel Craig in Girl with a dragon tattoo Whimsi he might annoy the feck out of you with his glasses hanging off one ear all day lobg and a refusal to do a Nordic accent unlike the rest of the British cast.

Beedle - feeling it on your behalf. I have done a flip-chin-kick in her face and she is howling.

SweetieDoesIt · 16/01/2012 12:58

Now have visions of Whims and Mr Whims as his & hers spy duo, similar to the Brad & Angelina movie. Ok must stop day dreaming and get on with some work until have to collect dog from groomers in my defense working from home does get a bit lonely.

Now AF has arrived enjoyed pate on toast for lunch, had my eye on it since Christmas but thought better of having it in case of updiffedness. See every cloud and all that.

GreenOlives · 16/01/2012 13:19

Forgot to say earlier HOW EXCITING about moving to Washington Whims!

whimsicalname · 16/01/2012 13:21

If I must indulge your collective spy fantasies, I'll be Judy Dench as M and Mr W can be Rowan Atkinson as R. I think that's as close as we get. Or Lady Penelope and Parker.

GreenOlives · 16/01/2012 13:22

Grin Whims

BeedleTheBard · 16/01/2012 13:24

thanks for the kind wishes everyone, and the impressive karate type move bean

Like sweetie I have also found a silver lining to this cloud, next month AF will now not turn up on my birthday, and not just cos I'll be preggo Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 16/01/2012 15:30

Forgot to say ... Ooh, Pentagon, whims?! Hot spy SWI a la True Lies ( ignores Arnie/Jamie Lee Curtis boak-making combo)? Definite ironic BFP with the move and all Grin

Pate, mmm. Enjoy, Sweetie!

No temp spike yet, CD16 today, I had a Smile on CD14 and normally 1-2 days I get a spike, regular as clockwork. Maybe it's the B6, maybe I'm just not ovulating Sad Thanks for putting that in my head, Dr Charmless. Aargh.

On phone, sorry if I missed anyone. Will check back later to see you all.

PopcornMouse · 16/01/2012 15:55

Don't panic, smegs - you can ov up to 48 hrs after +OPK, and you only get a temp rise the day after ovulation. So it could come tomorrow :)

beangrower · 16/01/2012 16:40

HI Olives - today's symptom: crippling trapped wind and depressing new head cold. Must be in the club. Grin Of course DP is MUCH more ill than me so dog-walking/toddler walking duties remained mine while he got a sleep.

cd24 here but if I ov'd cd18 then I've got a way to go.

I started another fred to try to work out whether I should take a suggestion from the private fertility clinic seriously (clomid-like drugs). From advice there it looks like it's worth giving it a go for three months. I'm giving acu and herbs a couple more months first though. And then of course the soon-to-arrive BFP will put an end to any drugs'll fix me fantasy.

Smegs - there's no accounting for eggs. I'm sure you'll be ok and hopefully Pop has it right. Ov can get a bit delayed sometimes.

Didn't get ending of Sherlock either.

Sweetie - yum.

Stasi - attagurl.

whimsicalname · 16/01/2012 17:03

bean, i would say proximity to a letter suggesting clomid should do the trick. maybe try sleeping with it under your pillow for added potency.

Hot cross bun anyone? They're known as HXBs chez Whim.

farfallarocks · 16/01/2012 17:45

Hi bean I am also hoping the mere suggestion of clomid by my consultant is also going to do the trick.

I am back from from my first follicle tracking scan on day10, there is a nice juicy egglet/dominant follicle brewing so she thinks I will ovulate tomorrow or Weds. Better get blimming SWI as have been really lax this month, have had 2 highs on shag dictator and still not got any SWI in! Argh! . It would also be my earliest ever ovulation!

pop so it looks like the monitor thinks you are ovulating a lot sooner than you thought, that is helpful in itself no? Good luck!
yay for munx really hoping you get a nice sticky one

Good luck stasi this month WILL be your month

beangrower · 16/01/2012 19:04

far - would you doing on here? Get shagging woman!

whimsicalname · 17/01/2012 09:11

Morning all.
I pedalled like a dervish to get into work for a 9am seminar, only to discover it's next week. I was only going because they have coffee and croissants, and now I've got a total croissant hunger.

Might have to go to the caff. But then I really am going to do some work.

PopcornMouse · 17/01/2012 09:12

smegs how're your temps this morning?

I don't know bean but I think it's worth a shot? You might look back and wonder "what if" if you didn't?

There must be something in the water, far - I'm early too! I hope you had a SWI-fuelled evening? :o

My temps are up today so I did ov yesterday (CD15), right on cue as far as the CBFM is concerned (It was my first "peak" day - which makes sense as I usually ov the same day I get a +OPK) - earliest ever!

Luckily we snuck in an exhausted SWI last night so we might just have got in under the wire Confused :o we last dtd on CD12 which was probably a bit optimistic for baby-making - but FF doesn't even have me in my fertile period yet going by previous cycle data Shock

PopcornMouse · 17/01/2012 09:12

Mmmmmm croissants.......

farfallarocks · 17/01/2012 09:48

Ooooh pop that is good news then well done. Here is to a nice early ovulation BFP for us both

bean I was out last night and came back late and a bit squiffy on return so DH was understandably not amused when I pestered him for SWI. S'ok though as had loads of EWCM this morning and not peaked yet so I think as long as we start tonight we should be ok, have put him on warning :)

GenericDietCola · 17/01/2012 09:52

Good work on the early egg-laying Pop and Farfalla!

Bean I will check out your other fred, but I am in the try anything frame of mind so I will probably say the same to you!

Smegs I will brook no argument that your egg will pop very soon (if it hasn't already).

Beedle so sorry re AF and I'm glad you are finding ways to be positive.

Hello Green, Sweetie, Whim, Maybe, Imps, Blonde and everyone else.

Feeling a bit better today (hurrah!). Will do another pee stick later as it's now been two weeks and I'm impatient to get trying again! BTW I started on Q10, omega 3 and fish oils as well as my ante natal vitamins (which have folic acid, vit D, magnesium, vit B and all the other good stuff in them).

GenericDietCola · 17/01/2012 09:53

Forgot to say hi to Munx - hope you are OK!

PopcornMouse · 17/01/2012 09:59

Generic my bumper bag full of omega 3, B6 and Q10 came this morning - I've started on them already (on top of my pregnacare). If you shake me, I reckon I'll rattle We can be a scientific study of 2 :o
