Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

OP posts:
NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/01/2012 15:45

Grin Stasi I am loving your mumm's method! And you are going to be updiffed before you know it.

Thanks for kind words everyone. Feeling very tired today, but am hoping home time will be earlier than yesterday!

Bean glad LO has been calmer today. Maybe he is an athlete in training, and you will be able to telol that tale when he is famous Grin

Pop this exciting machine sounds very complex. I am not the best with technology, though significantly better than DH Wink

Stasi · 13/01/2012 17:03

The tantrum management works well with older children, who tend to realise you'll give in if they embarrass you in public. My mum was a little too good at embarrassing them in public though, as she didn't mind joining in the tantrum and shouting/stamping her feet.

Munx · 13/01/2012 17:11

Afternoon, today has been a fairly shitty day too, so simply going to say hello to all and hope you have a great weekend.

I shall be back with a positive attitude on Monday.

Xx

BeedleTheBard · 13/01/2012 17:49

munx ((hugs)) hope you have a good weekend, sending brooking vibes that you feel better soon.

stasi I never realised all our bits were so tiny, no wonder tubes get blocked easily. And here's hoping that your BFP is just around the corner.

So AF isn't due til Sunday, and I never get spotting before, but I just found a teeny bit of brown tinged CM. I'm sure its just a new way for my body to torture me!

beangrower · 13/01/2012 18:01

Hi Beedle - so do tubes get blocked easily?

Don't be tortured. BROOK instead. xxx

SweetieDoesIt · 13/01/2012 18:35

I think the internet seems to have improved so I can catch and post a proper message.
Beedle loving the sound of the implantation bleed, very much brooking that is indeed what it is
Munx hope you feel better tomorrow, treat yourself to a relaxing bath and early night. Thanks
Maybe hope you did manage to get finished nice and early today and have a relaxing weekend planned. Sorry evil AF turned up
Stasi been catching up on all your news, all sounding very exciting and positive. Fx for your BFP very soon. Grin at your fugitive story Sad at your being so poorly on the plane though.
Whims thanks for the offer to consume my calories but I am doing a fine job of that myself had to buy big control pants this week Blush
Pop seems you are getting on well with the new toy CBFM, I am quite intrigued how you get on
Bean sounds like you have had your hands full with your LO, also it is a lovely thing to look into the option of foster to share the love you have. It is a really nice thing to be able to do.

I am getting pink CM as I did last cycle think it is a warning AF is imminent. Think I am going to start temping next cycle, do you recommend I start CD1? Was a bit worried by those of you who have had positive OPK then temps suggest actual OV occurs quite a few days later. Confused

beangrower · 13/01/2012 19:43

Hi Sweetie - can't see the point in temping with AF in the house. I would suggest holding off til she's wending her wicked way. Mind you - I'm far from an expert - Imps and others will know better. But I gather you need around 5 days pre-ov temps to fully trust the data and show a clear temp rise in any given cycle so depends on your average cycle length but you could calculate longest LP+5 for number of days to temp. I reckon cd7 is a good day to start unless you have short cycles.

Hope AF isn't imminent btw.

Night-night. A demain.

GreenOlives · 13/01/2012 22:18

Flying visit tonight, have read through but no time for proper post as I'm knackered and I have to be up at the crack of dawn for work tomorrow Sad Still I have my friend's surprise 40th party to look forward to after work Grin
Happy weekend brookers!

GenericDietCola · 14/01/2012 08:13

Morning all!

Stasi it was on Channel 5! It was interesting and Kym Marsh was trying to help them by passing on her experience of being a teenage mother herself. Saw that perfect mother programme yesterday (recorded from Wed) - I was quite jealous of the woman pregnant with her 7th child and only in her late 20s!

Maybe hope you have a relaxing weekend after a difficult week!

Bean I know just what you mean about 'puppet legs' as DD does this too! She's a bit older than your DS (I think - 2.4) and finally we can bribe her reason with her and it makes it so much easier.

Munx I hope you're OK my love.

Beedle I hope it was an IB!

You too Sweetie - IB of course! When is AF not due?

Enjoy the party Green!

I went to the doctor yesterday and she was lovely. A bit mystified about why I am still suffering, but said sometimes it takes longer to recover. She has signed me off again for next week, but I'm not sure what to do as a lot of the time I feel fine and could be working. Sometimes I get strong pains and I've now started bleeding again and I'm a bit worried I may need another scan next week if there's no improvement. In which case, it would be better if I stayed off. My boss is really understanding and says I should stay off and recover, but I feel guilty. Although the thought of another week at home with DD is appealing! Will have to see how I feel tomorrow.

Happy weekend all.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/01/2012 08:29

Oh Generic don't feel guilty. It is really important for you to recover properly. Glad your doctor is being helpful and that your boss is being understanding Smile

Sweetie I really hope AF hasn't put in an appearance.

Olives boo to having to work. My dh is also working today Sad

Sounds like it could be an IB Beedle keeping everything crossed that's what it is.

Anyone up to nice things this weekend?

SweetieDoesIt · 14/01/2012 09:27

Morning all, lovely crisp morning here I love days like this.

Generic it is good news that everyone is being so supportive, your Dr & boss. You need to take it easy and let things recover - enjoy the extra time with DD.

Maybe how things with you? taking the pup out today?

Bean I seem to be getting shorter cycles only 25 days and I Ov on CD 12-14ish. Today is CD24/DPO12 so AF not expected today or tomorrow. Don't feel grotty or anything so will see how things go.

Am going to visit a couple of my friends, and their kids, this afternoon. Then curry with my family this evening, a new take away has opened in our village that we are going to try. Yummy

PopcornMouse · 14/01/2012 10:07

Freeeeezing here today Shock

Sweetie start temping just after AF has gone. I usually start about CD6-8 (CD12 if I'm lazy) so I can see a nice, clear pattern before I ovulate (CD18+)

Glad you saw the GP generic - enjoy the time you have off and make the most of it! I hope you won't need a scan next week, maybe a bit more r&r is all you need.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/01/2012 10:30

Freezing here today too Pop Brrrrr. I love winter mornings like this.

Sweetie that's my plan. Got up early, done some washing, and have just done 2 workouts back to back. Think I am going to be in all sorts of trouble tomorrow for my (proposed) 7 mile run Hmm

Curry sounds lovely. I am going to do some tidying first, then take pup out. Then I am going to do a practice run with a giant cupcake mould. It's my baby bro's engagement party in a few weeks, and they have asked me to do the cakes. So I am making a giant cupcake in vanilla, then they have asked for a chic-chip cupcake, and, as a surprise for them, I am also turning their fave cocktail into a cupcake. And the theme is new york/black and white (my bro proposed in central park a few months ago). So I am bust designing Smile Obviously DH has offered to be chief taster. He really is too good to me Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 14/01/2012 10:33

Aargh the internets is broke! In my house at least. Couldnt read the thread at all, having to guess that everyone is well etc and remember what was written recently.

Generic I hope your doc helped and you're feeling better now.

Stasi definitely sounds like a good plan! Is your DH taking vitamin supplements?

Oh dear. That's the limits of my memory reached! Got a ---> Smile on my OPK this morning so hopefully I am ovulating. Take that, wonky T4 levels!

SweetieDoesIt · 14/01/2012 11:22

Maybe your DB sounds very romantic. But it is the rest of your post GrinGrinGrin you are bust designing and your DH is chief taster - I bet he is ShockGrin

Smegs get cracking with that SWI, you go girl.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/01/2012 16:30

Grin Grin Grin Sweetie bust designing is the latest craze to hit Essex Grin

Smegs great news. See rat. Smack it. That is all.

Imps7 · 14/01/2012 18:49

Evening all

Wow, sounds like things are hotting up in Essex - lucky Mr Maybe getting to taste all these designer busts Grin

Smegs get smacketing! This month is your month my lovely!

Stasi your appointment sounds very positive indeed. Mild male factor is not an insurmountable issue at all. Keep on smacketing that rat and it will happen without any doubt at all!

Arg Munx sounds like you're having a shitty time at the moment - keep calm and carry on! In the meantime we're all still brooking for you.

Have had a nice weekend so far but have eaten crap all day and now feel sick, flubbery and unhealthy. Think will have some spicy veg soup for dinner to feel more cleansed. Watched OBEM from this week again - the water birth with the fashion designer couple is without a doubt the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on television.

Right, off to check my squodgy chocolate beetroot cake (Nigel Slater) - the recipe made way too much mixture for the suggested 20cm tin so I've had some over-flowage problems. It currently looks a bit like a swamp monster but am sure it will taste delish!

Oh, Sweetie re: temping from CD1 - I don't bother as I temp fanjolly and it would be a bit messy. Tend to start from around CD 4 which hasn't been a problem.

Munx · 14/01/2012 19:07

Just popping in, thanks for all your kind messages.

Feeling a bit better today, CD30 or 31 here. Usual cycle length 33ish. Very much ish.

Big cuddles to all.

Xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 14/01/2012 20:10

Enjoy your cake Imps it sounds delish.

I have a chicken and prawn jambalaya on the go with an apple charlotte for tea

Much love to all x

beangrower · 14/01/2012 20:49

That Nigel choc cake ROCKS. Nom nom nom nom.

Been at singing workshops all day. Good for the soul. Plus RL friends who gave me a lot of TTC support and hope.

FX for Munx and other preggos waiting to confirm.

Imps - enjoy the spicy soup; that'll make you feel a million squids.

It's a week til I'm due and I feel boobilicious and crampy. Which in my book stinks. A whole week of PMT? (Apart from the fact that I am of course updiffed despite missing ov this month.)

Erch, just saw a mouse - it managed to Squish under the door. Yuk.

Have a lovely Sunday all. Good luck with smacketing Smegs!

whimsicalname · 15/01/2012 09:42

Morning all. I have a shock announcement.

We're moving to Washington (DC).

I haven't really told anyone in RL yet, so it feels wierd writing it. My husband is going to be working at the pentagon. If you knew him, you'd find this extremely amusing.

We'll be going in July probably. If I'm pg this cycle, we're in trouble as I won't be able to fly out! Bring on the ironic bfp.

Off for a run and a supermarket shop, then back to decorating. Anyone doing anything nice today?

Imps7 · 15/01/2012 09:48

WOW!!!!! How bloody exciting Whim!!!! You will have an American son/daughter!!!

PopcornMouse · 15/01/2012 10:05

Wow, whim that's so cool!!! Is it a permanent move?

That is poo bean but don't forget that PMS symptoms are all pg symptoms too!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 15/01/2012 10:13

Whim this is AMAZING news!!! You must be so excited. Promise me you will call your son Chad, an your daughter Britney

GenericDietCola · 15/01/2012 10:14

Whim that?s amazing! Bring on the ironic BFP!

Bean your day of singing sounds lovely. I?d like to join a choir again when the kids (think positive) are a bit older. Surely boobilicious and crampy could be good signs. Are you sure you missed ov???

Maybe you are a domestic goddess! Fact. I made homemade pizza last night (proper pizza with homemade dough and everything) and today it will be roast chicken and a crumble. I heart Sundays.

Munx we are brooking for you.

Morning Popcorn how are you chuck?

Imps weekends are made for eating yummy food and relaxing so make the most of it!

Smegs hope you smacked that rat good and proper.

After a painful night I have decided to take the doctor?s advice and stay off next week. If I feel well enough I?m going to start shredding again and try to get back to normal. Will anyone be watching the new midwife drama on BBC1 tonight (just before Sherlock)? It looks quite good, but could be absolute bilge!
