Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

OP posts:
Munx · 12/01/2012 21:08

Just realised that I did have something to report after all!

Biscuitsandtea · 12/01/2012 21:15

Spill Munx!

BTW, who are the people on the sport relief bake off?

Munx · 12/01/2012 21:19

Oh just those non symptoms biscuits Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 12/01/2012 21:29

Ah I see!

I though you'd perhaps forgotten to mention a BFP or something Confused

GenericDietCola · 12/01/2012 21:29

Biscuits your bump is beautiful!

Beedle there is still time to convince a pee stick!

Stasi your appointment sounds really positive to me. How do you feel now? I hope you feel reassured by the attitude of your consultant. If you get as far as the HSG but you won't remember that's how Biscuits and Ninja got their BFPs!

Green we did have similar birth experiences! I did get to the pushing stage in the pool, but with hindsight I should have got out sooner and pushed on dry land on all fours, which was how I envisaged doing it and wanted to on the day but I was too lazy/tired to get out of the pool. Also I couldn't pee so I'm sure my massively full bladder didn't help in getting her out! Next time (think positive) I will be in the pool for labour, then get out for the pushing. So there.

Munx I hope you are OK, you sound tired. Plus woo hoo at cd 29 - that's good right? Totally understand the late testing idea.

Maybe hope you are at home now being fed!

Sweetie you will be fine - I liked the water birth lady's attitude of ignorance is bliss and not really expecting it to hurt (so it didn't) - I'm sure positive thinking and all that hippy stuff really does work when it comes to labour!

I have recorded that perfect mum prog and also recorded Kym Marsh meeting teenage mums, which I watched today and was actually pretty good!

Will go to dr tomorrow, I promise.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/01/2012 22:19

Hello all, I have just crawled in the door. I am too tired to eat, even though all I have had all day is yoghurt at 7 this morning and a bottle of water. DH has just run off to tesco to get me a bit of chocolate. Yes, he is luffly.

Olives you crack me up. That program was so funny. I particularly liked the hanging charm made out of umbilical cord Grin

Munx I have a feeling you are preggo Grin

Glad you are going back to docs tomorrow Generic hope all is well.

Sorry if I have forgotten anyone, befuddled head. Oh, but today is most deffo CD1. Here's to an October baby Smile

Night you lovely lot x

whimsicalname · 12/01/2012 22:32

My goodness maybe you need to eat far more than that. Rest assured, I have eaten for two on your behalf. Except obviously we are all pg, so I should be eating for 4 as you haven't had anything.

Would anyone else like me to consume their calories? I bought an amazing loaf of bread from the Bertinet bakery in Bath today. We have had bread and butter and marmalade for pudding after a substantial supper.

BeedleTheBard · 13/01/2012 05:46

argh stupid tablet I just managed to delete everything I'd written

stasi glad the appointment went well, though it seems a bit mean that you lose a free go at IVFif you pay yourself - not that it matters because you'll be getting your BFP long before that Grin

maybe hope you're feeling better this morning, yeah to hubby and his emergency chocolate run. I'm not sure that would happen here but I'll let DP off as a) we don't have 24hr supermarkets and b) I have an emergency stockpile of crunchies here Grin

munx CD 29, or 30 as I hope it is now, is a good sign for you isn't it? Though I understand the not testing yet so I won't shove a ramekin in your face :)

Nothing unusual to report here other than a slight headache, now I need to get ready for work so hope you all have a good day x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/01/2012 08:14

Morning all.

Thank you for eating for me Whim you really are too good to me you know Grin

Beedle I like this emergency stash you speak of. I am not generally a big chocolate eater, but DH really is. I tried having a secret stash once. He found it, devoured it, and never told me Grin

I was crippled with pains last night. I have never had them like this beofre, just in from my right hip, and it went all the way through my hip into my back. Finally managed to drop off about 1 this morning. Am going into work a bit later today, as am so bloomin shattered.

BeedleTheBard · 13/01/2012 08:54

sounds painful maybe hope you feel better soon. can I get you a hot water bottle?

luckily DP doesn't eat much chocolate so my supply of crunchies is quite safe - actually he's probably never eaten one so he doesn't know how lovely they are (you can't buy them here which is why I have a large stockpile Grin )

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/01/2012 08:55

Aha, I see Beedle 'what he doesn't know won't hurt him' eh? Grin

BeedleTheBard · 13/01/2012 09:06

If they were right in front of him, or he could reach them from the sofa he'd probably eat them, but as they're in the food store in the basement he doesn't.

Realised this makes him sound like one of those 50st men who can't move without the use of a mobile crane and rely on other people to bring them large quantities of burger King - he's not, he's perfectly normal sized Grin

PopcornMouse · 13/01/2012 09:29

Biscuits that's very exciting! Well done Mr Biscuits for building all the furniture, too ? that's very organised by my own poor standards Did you find out the gender the last time, or was DS a surprise too? Your bump is purty :)

Thanks smegs. I had a google an apparently B12 and B2 are also good for migraines. I think I might try B6 for a bit and then add in the others if needs be; otherwise I'll be taking a billion exaggeration tablets every day :o I think my pregnacare which I need to get better at taking has a B complex in it, but it's a comparatively low-dose.

Wow bean that's progress! Will you have to hold his hand or is a brave soldier? :o
Well done on looking in to fostering. I think it's a very noble and difficult thing to do, I wish you the best of luck :)

Stasi that's really interesting, thank you for sharing that. I'm surprised the IVF waiting time is quite so long, although iirc NICE guidelines only recommend it for couples ttc for 3+ years anyway, so it sort of works out. Like bean said, I've heard of one MNer who had motility and count problems who had been ttc for years, then the one month they abstained until the day before ovulation they got their BFP - might be worth a go?

Oh munx :( sorry yesterday was so shite ? I hope today is better :)

I worry a bit about going for a triptan, Olives, as I have naturally low blood pressure and I'm wary of lowering it further ? but I'm going to give the B6 a go and maybe fish oils too, suggested by bean and go from there. Nice to know it's not as uncommon as I'd thought, though but obviously it's not nice for you, sorry! :)

Hope you're feeling a bit perkier today, Maybe - sounds like a heckuva day! Sorry AF found you :( October babies are fab, though. Fact.

CD12 and my new toy CBFM is unsurprisingly still on high. The pee sticks are really nifty though ? my oestrogen line is very faint, meaning levels are high, but the OPK line is near invisible, meaning no surge has begun as yet.
I know I should be happy for reasonably regular cycles and apparently regular ovulation, but it would be nice if my cycles were a bit shorter, you know? So I could just get down to business as it were :o instead of farting about with mammoth not really 31-38 day cycles Shock
Ok that's my whinge of the day over :o

Imps7 · 13/01/2012 11:16

I saw this and thought of you this morning Maybe. Sorry about AF (esp the pain).

Quick one from me - will catch up properly later.

PopcornMouse · 13/01/2012 11:47

Have just ordered a 3 month supply of Q10, omega 3 and B6 - apparently they're all great for ttc and migraines :o

beangrower · 13/01/2012 12:01

That's great. Had a feeling they were good ones for you. A leap forward for the Popcorn household - BFP knocking at the door.

Now ahem - 'noble' is not really the right word for me... Smile A bit bonkers maybe, but as I see it fostering means more little people in my life and that's [selfishly] what I want. Mind you after today I'm not sure I'll be allowed to foster. DS was a total pain in the butt proverbial, this morning. Ran off into the woods a v long way away when walking the terrier. Cackling with glee at the thought of making his mummy chase after. Cackling in my face at being reprimanded once captured. Refusing to walk and hold hands, instead collapsing his legs like a puppet. Kicking off his wellies when carried (up a very steep hill, bearing in mind he is nearly 2yo). Took about half an hour to get to the car and I was dying for the loo (a more serious condition, post natally, I have found). I was not a Perfick Mum at this point, needless to say, and may even have called him a little bugger out loud... or was it just that the shouting in my head felt very loud? Shame on me. Still he did get up at 5.30 and with no nap for him yesterday either I've had two v full on days.

He is in bed now. Double-blanketed for good measure.

And funnily enough my CV is polished for various job/volunteering roles... I wonder why.

And still my my body/heart refuse to understand that 1DC is fine?! Grin

beangrower · 13/01/2012 12:05

Btw Popcorn - will be interested in your CBFM tracking v temping. Am still a bit confused by my apparently late ov given peeing on stix usually gives me a cd12 Smile. But last month when I did temp I got a temp rise at cd14. But looking back I seem to have alternately short then longer cycles depending on which side I'm oving on so perhaps that's what it's all about. Remains a mystery to me. Surely if you aim to have sex every other day or two, mid two weeks of cycle, we should all be onto a winner?!

PopcornMouse · 13/01/2012 12:15

That happened with me the other month, though, bean - I got a +OPK on my usual CD18, but then ov delayed until CD26 when I got another +OPK and a temp change. I think it was because I did some vigorous exercise on CD18, my body put the brakes on and tried again later. Do you think that might have happened with you, sans Jillian Michaels?

I am tittering at MiniBean's naughtiness. Have you tucked him in extra tight to prevent escape? ;)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/01/2012 12:20

Oh Imps, that has made me love you even more Smile

beangrower · 13/01/2012 13:49

Yes nice link Imps - you do look after us, you sweetie.

Feeling any better Maybe?

My day is much improved by toddler sleep, certainly no escaping this time. Smile

Yes Pop I remember your madly long cycle. But I don't see how I can be getting delayed ov every month. And there was no good reason for a delay this month (I do yoga every other day - not quite in the league of Jillian). I remember you had a day of stress that cycle too...

Still I hope I continue to get ov pains - at least they will shove me in the right direction ie, get shagging Bean. I think I will have to try temping again at least while I am still paying for acu and therefore mentally still in the market for a BFP.

CBFM reads two hormones doesn't it? So will you know for sure you've ov'd using this or would you still need to temp to be certain?

PopcornMouse · 13/01/2012 14:08

I think you'd need to temp for certain - it reads oestrogen and LH. The oestrogen rise is what kicks starts your LH surge, so it's like an OPK and pre-OPK.

beangrower · 13/01/2012 14:16

Yes - thought so. Seems like double the effort but at least you won't miss your fertile window and you'll know if ov is delayed. x

PopcornMouse · 13/01/2012 14:18

Well I'm not too sure. Because once you get that +LH ("peak") I think it stops asking you for peesticks Confused so I'm not entirely sure how useful it will be, and will keep temping alongside it. But given the price of CB digital OPKs, it didn't seem like it would work out much more expensive over the course of a few months or am I just making that up to console myself with

beangrower · 13/01/2012 14:47

It's worth doing. x

Stasi · 13/01/2012 15:25

I'm actually feeling much more relaxed after the consultant appointment. Having a possible cause has helped, and that it's mild. Like, if DH's swimmers are the only problem, then it's understandable that we've not got a pg yet - but it's very possible we'll get there naturally, and before we ever got to the IVF stage.
It'll be good to get the HSG and see if there are any problems though. It's possible I have problems with my tubes after all the abdominal surgery. I have a 6 inch scar from the resection, and the uterus and fallopian tubes look so small and easily damaged. I looked up HSG on wikipedia - look at the picture they're so small.

However, I'm brooking no argument that the HSG is all clear, and I'm pg before or straight after it!

As for the migraines, I had them for a while when I was a teenager, but refused to take the sumatriptan when it was prescribed. The side effects scared me - I'm sure one was "sudden death".

Olives DH will be starting supplements today, we both think they are unlikely to cause problems, and may help. Given his next SA will be in about 3 months time, any improvement will prove they work - like real science (sort of).

Whim, Munx and Maybe you all sounded like you had hard days yesterday. Hope you slept well and are feeling better today.

Generic what side was the teenage mums thing on? I like all baby/parenting programs. Maybe I can find it on catch-up. Hope you went to the Dr and are feeling better today.

Maybe sorry for AF turning up, October babies are amazing. Fact (as are all other babies).

Popcorn I think we might try a different way of getting that elusive BFP. Considering getting a CBFM so I'll have warning of Ov and can time SWI that way, rather than the every other day method. My Ov is reasonably predictable around CD16, but does vary from 15-18, so I wouldn't want to simply abstain till then. (Also, like the idea of a new toy a sex dictator a very sensible CBFM investment).

Bean children are wonderful. Your DS seems to have had a fun morning of healthy exercise with a wonderful mother. My mum used to deal with tantrums by telling my brothers they were doing it wrong, and is that really as loud as they can scream? Can't you get a bit louder? It confused them enough they stopped.
