PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 17:20

I'm due to push for tests in 6 months ? we can be, er, referral buddies? :o

farfallarocks · 05/01/2012 17:26

We certainly can pop

maybe we cross posted, I have put a little update on here as well
More dildo cams for me (what fun)

PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 17:31

Three words: Peaches fecking Geldoff. Angry Envy

farfallarocks · 05/01/2012 17:34

She is not is she

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 17:55

You are fing joking me Shock

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 17:59

Far that all sounds very promising indeed. 6 months? Pah, you'll be upduffed in weeks. Weeks I tell you

Munx · 05/01/2012 18:47

Peaches? wow!

Sounds like a positive appointment Far , I lurk on the post mc board so had seen your updates. Fingers crossed! Hurrah for progress.

It is a lovely supportive board, but I can't commit to more than one, struggle to keep up with the brookers! I could easily fit into the post mc, the thyroid ladies, the BESHs...........

Hope you are feeling better Maybe..

Ooh ooh can I join the six month gang? That's when they will be taking the next step for us too Sad

But as you say, NONE of us will need that wait! Upduffedness here we come!

SweetieDoesIt · 05/01/2012 19:48

Just checked the PFG as she has been named by Pop news - cannot believe it either Envy
As you guys were saying earlier today, every time I see Duchess of Cornwall mentioned in the news I expect it to follow news of her pregnancy agree with Mr Pop that she will have been checked for fertility eligibility though
Did anyone hear the news over Christmas that Beyonce had a baby girl, but then it has all gone quiet so not sure if it has really happened Hmm

Big squeeze for Far hope you are my lovely.
Munx loving the A Team talk, maybe you try that on Mr Munx Wink

DH wants us to go back to GP about getting a referral. I think the fact he is 40 this year is playing on his mind. As I am 38 and have been TTC since May I think we should be able to push for it. I just want to try a couple more cycles as I am sure we just need more time. Confused

SweetieDoesIt · 05/01/2012 19:50

Poor Maybe forgot to mention you my dear. I do hope you are feeling better soon. Hope the hot chocolate with added marshmallows did the trick.
{Hugs}{Hugs}{Hugs}

Munx · 05/01/2012 19:56

Quite a few of us in that gang then..... Tbh I would push to be seen so you are in the system, we waited the full year before going to the GP and then had to wait a further four months before we got an appointment at the clinic first time round.

After I had DD and my cycles started back again in the old pattern, I went straight to the GP and got referred.

As I say, totally understand the wanting to wait, but here they take the man's age into account and 40 seems to be the age they will fast track, even if it is your DH rather than yourself.

Hope that makes sense Sweetie.

GenericDietCola · 05/01/2012 20:01

I have been snickering away reading the A Team chat and hoping DH wouldn't ask me what I was laughing at!

Farfalla your consultant sounds wonderful and I'm glad he is trying all these different things. Nice to have Clomid mentioned - I've wondered if that would be an option for me as it's supposed to improve egg quality (but how?)

Pop I'm glad you feel better now and hope you enjoy the shag dictator. I can certainly see the appeal of such a bona fide reassurance of ovulation but I'm too tight to buy one

Maybe you must rest my dear and look after that little bean you are surely gestating. Your DH sounds so lovely.

Imps I loved your detailed CM description.

Sweetie and the rest of you will not need your referrals y'hear me - you are Brookers! But just in case, it's good to have a plan.

Munx sorry to hear of you DD-related scare. I took my DD to A&E a year or so ago with a rash and temperature and we were a bit worried, but the hospital were so nice about it all and totally reassured us.

I went for a lovely massage today and have had lots of fun with DD - we went to soft play and I took her out for lunch. I'm loving being back with you lot, just thinking about the thread makes me smile and feel more positive!

Oh and re Beyonce, did you see the speculation that her bump was prosthetic and she wasn't really preggo? I'm no expert at all and I hadn't heard about the birth, but having watched the clip of her on a chat show where she sits down and the bump folds in half I am dubious she was really pregnant. Hmm.

Munx · 05/01/2012 20:08

Sounds like a great day!

Sorry to bring a downer but Hawthers LO appears to be in hospital, was just having a nosey at the ante natal thread Sad

Hawthers brooking very hard for you xx

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 20:20

Oh Munx i just popped in and saw. Poor Hawthers All will be well though, I am sure of it.

Generic that sounds like a lovely lovely day. I know what you mean about this thread, cheers me up no end. Luff you lot

I hadn't heard this Beyonce baby girl news! That youtube clip was so strange! Deffo looked like a collapsable bump Hmm

Thanks for the hugs Sweetie I feel worse. Though have had a nice bath and pup is asleep!

We have been 'trying' for almost a year now, though my cycles were messed up for a goo 3 months following the MC/coming off of pill, so will probably be waiting till April time before I go back to GP. She has already sent me for day 3 bloods which were a-ok, so at least things have been noted.

I am very Envy of your massage Generic I have a spa voucher from last year that I am yet to have spent. Must get myself booked in!

SweetieDoesIt · 05/01/2012 20:30

Thanks Munx I will see how we go this cycle and then have a proper think. Initially we went to let GP know we were TTC, we were both shocked to be sent for tests straight away. I had my day 3 and 21 bloods and DH his SA. So they did take us seriously then.

Generic I saw the Beyonce folding bump clip but luff her so don't care for anyone else interested

SweetieDoesIt · 05/01/2012 20:33

X post Maybe hair strokes for you. Good nights sleep and hopefully fx for much improvement tomorrow. Thanks

GreenOlives · 05/01/2012 20:47

Hello lovelies!

I'm struggling to keep up with you lot, now that everyone is back at work the number of posts has gone up dramatically! Grin

Loving the A team talk, I used to love watching it and I had a crush on Face Blush

Now ladies I don't want to hear anymore of this referral gang talk because you will absolutely, definitely, positively be preggo way before then Grin

So glad that everything went as well as it could Generic and that you are having some quality time with your family. Your positivity is great and I'm sure it won't be long before there is another BFP coming your way

So the forceps delivery on OBEM brought back painful memories - it was very similar to my delivery with DS Poor old DH was having proper flashbacks, it was way more traumatic for him as he could see down at the business end and after 2 days in labour and 5 hours of pushing I didn't give a shit what they did as long as someone got the goddamn baby out of me! Grin

Right, I'm off to Google Peaches Fecking Geldoff Angry TTFN

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 20:53

Olives! There you are my lovely! Mnetting instead of working? Moi? You must have me confused with someone else Wink

Thanks Sweetie sleep would be amazing. Just had some lovely yoghurt and berries to soothe my throat. Nom nom.

Your delivery sounds painful Olives did you give birth to a whopper? Grin

GenericDietCola · 05/01/2012 21:21

Olives right back at you on the positivity - you are an inspiration!

Loved the Stork thread - nice to see some other Brookers there! This bodes well for 2012 Rat Smackers. Bring it on!

Glad you feel soothed Maybe.

GreenOlives · 05/01/2012 22:18

Grin Lol Maybe - I realise you would only be Mnetting during your breaks Wink DS was indeed a 10lb whopper Shock Medicinal yog and berries sounds yum!

Ahh shucks, thanks Generic Blush

Angry have read about PFG, FFS!

Munx · 05/01/2012 22:47

That rat MUST be smacked now. Surely I deserve a BFP for sheer stamina this month Wink

As do we all,

Positivity a go go, that's what we need!!!!!

And I think you are all massively inspirational, and i am glad to be sharing this journey with you all.

Imps7 · 06/01/2012 07:26

Bloody hell Munx you go girlfriend! I pity da rat who tries to escape that.

I'm also bloody glad I found this thread - it's brilliantly supportive and makes this process soooooooooooooooo much better

PFG. Pah, that's what I say.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/01/2012 07:39

You are my new hero Grin

Morning Imps it is indeed Friday. I am too sick to go into work today. Can't swallow anything. Woe is officially me.

Weekend plans. Rest. Take nightmare pup on nice long walk by the river. Enjoy having a weekend that doesn't involve turkey or anyone else other than DH, Otis and I. Bliss [antisocial]

What about you Impsicle?

farfallarocks · 06/01/2012 08:04

munx that rat MUST be smacked for sure, can you even sit down??

sweetie thanks for the squeeze, must needed. I agree with the others, you should get the ball rolling because it takes months and you want to start the tests as soon as possible as they can take some time too. Not that any of the 6 month crowd will still be here in 6 months innit?

generic so pleased you are feeling upbeat and positive, you are a real inspiration to me, in fact you all are and have seen me through so many highs and lows, I don;t know what I do without you all, sniff.

I did ask the consultant about clomid if you are already ovulating, he said he would proceed with caution as it can thin the lining and dry up fertile mucus. That is why he wants to track a cycle and see exactly what is going on with the lining and progesterone (is it dropping off a cliff to0 quickly etc) Apparently it can be helpful with PCOS even if you are ovulating as its makes you produce more oestrogen and FSH and fires up the ovaries to produce better quality eggs which in turn produce more progesterone. I think that is how it works. I think it is also used a first line infertility cure all because its cheap and easy to use. My undestanding is that if its going to work its likely to in the frist 3 months. They will need DH to do a sperm test though which he will HATE!!

maybe that sounds like a lush weekend. We have DH's uncle and kids descending on us, they are nice though so should be fun. It took them 10 yrs to have DD1 and some fertility treatment and then had DS1 7 yrs later, she was 47 and though she was going the menopuase (!!!!) so I am definitely going to speak to them about it this weekend if the moment feels right!

I also spend way too much time on here when I should be working instead. I like the post MC board as its very supportive but now most people on there are preggers again or had later mcs than me so I feel sometimes like a bit of a fraud. I also dipped my toe into the TTC 10 months plus thread but as someone on there pointed out, egg and sperm are meeting some of time so don;t really feel like its going to be home. So I feel a bit out of place as I sit somewhere between sub fertile and Mcs!! The end result is the same though, no fecking baby and a lot of mentalling! I also like the BESH style but its way too fierce for me on there, no where near as supportive as this thread and it really brought it home to me when one of the posters had a MC and was a bit upset and she was told to stop being bitter by a few posters. She was also defended but did think, that would NEVER happen on the rat smacketers thread :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 06/01/2012 08:13

Oh Far this is your place. We are here through thick and thin. And you will get that baby. 2012 is our year, and all our babies can say they were Olympic babies Smile

That is amazing about you DH's auntie! I think it goes to show that it will happen for all of us. My good friend is pregnant, following a load of tests that said she couldn't have children, and for IVF she would have to lose loads of weight (she really isn't that big) so they gave up 'trying' and hey presto! Bambino due in the summer!

We will all get there, even though we all have days when we feel like we won't!

End of monologue Grin

BeedleTheBard · 06/01/2012 08:35

Morning ladies

munx if that rat isn't well and truely smacked by now I'll be shocked

Imps my CM was exactly how you described yours - it must be a sign Grin

generic glad to have you back - well not glad that you had to come back to us but you know what I mean

far this is definately the place for you, we'll all be getting pregnant with little sticky beans this year and I'll brook no argument

I'm having a nice lazy morning as its a holiday here, we also had yesterday afternoon off, so we had a lovely relaxed time watching dvds and playing on the xbox. And today we're going to be equally lazy.

Nothing to report as I've no idea where I am in my cycle, but as we didn't manage much SWI it doesn't really matter. Anyway hope everyone has a lovely day, don't work too hard Wink Smile
