Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

OP posts:
SweetieDoesIt · 05/01/2012 07:59

I watched OBEM too, even DH loved only because it was from Leeds it.Shock He did escape to let the dog out on the actual head popping bit. I didn't find it as scary as I thought which bodes well. But they were very young - all I could think was how will they cope.Sad Also can I just say not everyone from Leeds is like that GrinGrin

farfallarocks · 05/01/2012 08:41

Morning ratsmacketers, welcome to happy

I dreamt Kate middleton was on our thread telling us her LH and FSH were out of balance and could we brook for her, gah!!!!
Nutter!!

Actually everytime the news says 'The Duchess of Cambridge' I always think they are going to say 'is expecting her first child' and my heart sinks a little and then I am relieved when its something else. Hmmmmmmm. Poor girl, now that is TTC pressure, can you imagine????

How is everyone doing? Any POAS due?
I am CD26 today and no spotting at all but BFN, I think it must be the natural progesterone cream. i am worried about messing up my cycles though. i think I will wait until 14DPO and if still BFN will stop the cream. What does everyone think? Should I stop now?

GenericDietCola · 05/01/2012 08:49

Hello I'm back! I hope I'm up to date with all of your news, but forgive me if I've missed anything.

Congratulations to Looopy - that's brilliant news and great to start off 2012 with a BFP!

Munx great effort on the SWI and phew that the +ve OPK has gone at last! Hopefully all that effort will pay off my love.

Oh crikey I've forgotten who had the promising implantation bleed - Imps? And Beedle had something similar so hurrah!

Stasi how are you? Hope things are going well and you get your BFP soon.

Maybe - love the new name and kitchen exploits!

Farfalla I agree the implant girl was a wind up - that just can't be true - you can't wish yourself pregnant - we should know. And kicks at 12 weeks - yeah right.

Well Tuesday went as well as possible and I already feel much better. I am seeing the silver lining in that I now have an extra week off to spend with my lovely DD and DH. I've got a bumper pack of OPKs and HPTs on order from Amazon so I can firstly check my hCG has gone down (last time it took 7 weeks to get a -ve), then to check I am ovulating because I am getting a baby in 2012 and I will Brook No Argument. So there.

It's good to be back (oh and I sobbed my heart out at OBEM last night). We'll all be there soon (not necessarily there in Leeds, apart from Sweetie, but we will be popping out beautiful babies!)

GenericDietCola · 05/01/2012 08:52

Cross posts Farfalla - no idea re the progesterone cream. Are you meant to use it until AF shows up? Do you know how many dpo you are? Agree re poor Kate's TTC pressure! My DH reckons she will have undergone tests to make sure she is fertile before being 'allowed' to marry William. Don't see how they can guarantee such things though. Wonder if she does hang out on MN?

farfallarocks · 05/01/2012 09:01

Oh generic its lovely to have you back (well its not but you know what I mean) and sounding so positive and sensible as usual. You are well brave.

I am reading a lot of conflicting advice about when to stop and whether or not it can delay your period etc I am 11dpo I think so will test tomorrow and again at 14dpo and if still bfn will stop then I suppose!

GenericDietCola · 05/01/2012 09:03

Sounds sensible - 11 dpo could be too early for a BFP anyway. Hope you are our next BFP and thanks for the welcome back!

PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 09:12

Ladies, I am hung over Envy and I am seriously regretting that sausage roll hangover food I just had.
DH didn't even ask what was in the parcel that came at 7.10pm :o I turned it on this morning and was slightly underwhelmed to be told no peestick needed today, humph.

Hi generic Glad yesterday went as well as it could, and that's a good plan with the peesticks.

:o shark attack, maybe! I don't watch OBEM. If it didn't turn me green, it would make me sad. DH is stellar in a crisis, so he will be fine if when I give birth :)
I taped the Baker Brothers, shall watch it when DH is on a late. Was it good?

Hoping Imps feels less chipped out this morning, and that Munx's DD is better too.

Far I'm not sure about the cream, I had read that if you use it you must keep using throughout your pregnancy as a sudden drop in progesterone can be dangerous? So it might be worth not stopping til AF iykwim?

Cat has just got his head stuck in the handle of the jute shopping bag he was sleeping in, and is now tearing around the house like it's going to eat him Hmm

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 10:07

Oh Pop you poor thing. Maybe a nice cup of tea and a bacon sarnie will help? Or some lucozade.

The Baker Brothers were great. Watch out for the opening line

Generic it is so lovely to have you back. I have missed your face. Hope you are getting lots of TLC Smile

Far I have no idea about the cream. It's all so confusing isn't it, especially when there is so much different advice out there.

I have somehow made it in to work. Though I think it will be a very long day Sad

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 11:22

Good work on the booze reduction Pops Wink Grin Hope you and DH had a nice evening and managed not to give TTC a moment's thought!

Generic!! So glad you're back in rat smacketing action. This will be YOUR year, have no doubts about that.

Maybe sorry to hear about your mini-meltdown. OBEM is tough watching sometimes and best to avoid, esp (as I discovered last year) on the same day that AF has arrived.

Re: my Official Implantation Bleed on 6 DPO. In all honesty, it can't have been an implantation bleed as it seemingly didn't contain any blood. It was very unusual though and not something I've had after OV - normally I'm as dry as a bone, apart from the odd small amount of yellow-ish sticky stuff, but this was fairly copious, wet and stretchy. It was on the whole yellow/cream though (deffo not clear) apart from one tiny speck of brown (which, to be fair, could have been a bit of fluff from my pants Grin) and the last bit had the slightest tint of pink. I have read from Babyhopes.com a reliable, medically-trusted source that you can get an oestrogen surge at around 5DPO which can create pant snot similar to EWCM so I suspect it was that. Has anyone experience anything similar before?

There you go Pops, am sure that detailed description of my cervical mucus has made that hangover sickness disappear Grin

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 11:44

omg i'VE JUST REMEMBERED MY DREAM LAST NIGHT!!!!

(Oops, capslock was on)

Pops - you and I were both in neighbouring hospital beds preparing to have our babies! You were being very brave whereas I was crying because I didn't like the blood test and I was sad that my boobs hadn't grown as much as yours! We were calling each other "Pops" and "Imps" even though we were good friends and would clearly have known each other's real names in that scenario!

Grin Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 11:46

Imps that is an amazing dream Grin

Talking of CM (sorry Pops) I have had the same thing Imps Sorry for the tmi, but it is more like proper snot, rather than pant snot. Catch my drift Hmm Grin

I of course am still hoping you had an implantation bleed though Smile Also, sometimes I think I make my CM pink by, erm, digging a bit to deep

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 11:47

Oh, just read what you wrote about Duchess of Cambridge and your heart sinking every time you think that they are about to announce her pregnancy - me too!!! I don't know why I'm more bothered about her being pregnant than any other celebrity/person I've never met - maybe it's because I already think that she has the perfect life and would struggle to cope with her left being even more perfect. Glad I'm not alone in this.

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 11:47

Oh, that last post was in response to what Far had written. Damned baby brain.

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 11:51

It never ceases to amaze me Maybe that 24 months after coming off the pill and 12 months of TTC/pant watching/obsessive symptom spotting, my body can still find new things to throw at me. It's a real skill, to be honest!

Munx · 05/01/2012 11:54

Morning all

So pleased to see you back Generic glad you are back to your brooking best. This is the year of the brookers fact.

Forgive the lack of name checks, but I hope Pop feels better soon and loving the dreams! I feel the same about Kate middleton too.... But obviously I wish her all the luck in the world!

Fwiw my cm is epic..all month so hard to gauge what is going on. Mad strong positive OPK this morning again so I give up trying to figure my body out. Cd21 ish I think?!

Lots of positive thoughts for all, my brain is a bit addled due to a trip to hospital with DD last night. She is fine but had scary temperatures and a rash.

Had her in with me all night and mow drinking a lot of coffee......

Willtry toncatch up properly later.

Forgive the typos...... Please Grin

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 12:14

Confused Munx?? Hmmm, if only preggo pee sticks were more obliging. D'YOU HEAR THAT PREGGO PEE STICKS?? YOU SHOULD LEARN TO BE MORE LIKE YOUR BROTHERS.

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 12:15

Oh, and your poor DD - did they work out what was causing the rash/high temp?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 12:16

Oh Munx poor poor DD. Is she feeling better today? Viral rashes are so scary. Hope she is feeling much better soon.

I know what you mean Imps It is my new years resolution to stop trying to second guess my body, as it drives me potty Grin

And I forgot to say, I feel exactly the same about Kate. I really really hope she is on mumsnet. Who knows, mayve she is already brooking?

Imps7 · 05/01/2012 12:18
Munx · 05/01/2012 12:21

No cause found but there is a lot going round here.

Yes, I wish those double lines were so quick and obliging on the pg tests

Yes indeed imps and maybe I have decided my body is an attention seeking PITA so I am ignoring it.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 12:37
PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 13:22

:o Imps that is a funny dream. I hope it bodes well for our current cycles!!

Feeling much better now thank god. Must be all the mucus maybe's full fat coke wot done it.

My new bottle of hazelnut syrup came from Monin and it's massive. For some reason I had it in my mind that 1 litre bottle was the size of a small pop bottle Hmm but it's humongous. It makes me look like a syrup addict Blush

Munx is a pitta bread?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 13:25

Oh Pop I would really like some syrup on ice cream now please

Glad you are recovered now Grin

PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 13:47

Oooo FF has a CBFM tracker box :o

PopcornMouse · 05/01/2012 13:48

(I might have bought hazelnut and chocolate Blush addict )
