Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

OP posts:
Munx · 04/01/2012 19:10

You lot Grin it's only CD 19 or 20 here !

But, just for fun it did and obviously BFN!

Anyway, we'll see. Stick with original plan, just had to take DD to the emergency doctors so we are both knackered now.

She's absolutely fine, just very very high temp and generally listless but viral.

I will be watching OBEM!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 19:17

Oh Munx we are terrible, terrible influences

Pleased DD is ok, poor little mite.

Oh Imps my DH is on the whole ok with the birth thing, Unless it's a CS. I actually watched the blood drain out of his face the first time he saw one of those. My lovely BIL when my SIL was pregnant told her she couldn't have a water birth because, and I quote 'it looks like a shark attack'. He came round in the end, but by the time she got to hospital she didn't have time Smile

Men are funny. Though I am fairly pleased I don't have to watch a whole human being coming out of such a small place Wink

Munx · 04/01/2012 19:21

You are maybe Grin you are!

My DH is mega squeamish but he was absolutely brilliant at DD's birth, even when it got all scary and stuff.

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 19:35

I'm 100% convinced that my OH will pass out at the birth! He won't even walk in the room when OBEM is on, let alone watch it!

Friends of ours had their baby last year - the dad is a very tall, stocky, rugby-player type lad - he passed out when she was in labour, put his head through a wall (there's a photo of the hole on FB!) and had to go to A&E! She had to call her mum who did a mad dash from where she lived and got there just in time for the birth! Luckily she found the whole thing quite amusing, rather than hellishly stressful (although that might just have been in hindsight I suppose!)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 20:01

Oh Imps your poor friend! Well done her for finding it funny though!

Anyone else watching Heston? Apparently he can make me cook like him. Debatable Hmm

Munx · 04/01/2012 20:11

Oh that poor bloke! And his wife of course!

I have been cooking up a storm for DD and us. Four separate pots. See you lot will be MUCH better at all that than me. I am rubbish and just make stuff up. I have chucked the contents of the veg tray in with some lentils and chicken and am hoping she will eat it.

You will also be relieved to hear that I just did an OPK and the test line is not the vivid purple of yesterday. You will no doubt be relieved to not have to read about my sticks twice daily!

Grin

Oh I think you could Maybe just nick a water bath from the lab Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 20:15

Sounds very healthy Munx I need to sit down in a bit and write my healthy eating/fitness/half marathon plan for the next few months. That will make me feel virtuous (even if I look like the back end of a bus).

There was talk the other day of making some liquid nitrogen Grin I am sure they won't mind if a water bath accidently falls into my bag as I leave.....

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 20:48

That should say liquid nitrogen ice cream. Baby brain?

Munx · 04/01/2012 20:54

Yes seri agley baby brain! Remind me where you are is it about CD24?

Are you testing soon Grin, I'm as bad as the rest of ya!

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 20:54

Mmmm, liquid nitrogen ice cream...my favourite (Hmm)

Sadly OH has been caught up at work so is staying at his parents' tonight rather than coming home. This has a plus point - I can watch OBEM - but a very bad negative point - I was making some homemade chips to have with the leftover quiche as a treat for him (the chips, not the leftovers) and given that they won't keep I've had to eat most of them myself Confused. Feeling very sick, so having a peppermint tea in the hopes that this will help speed up digestion. Bleeeeuuuurgh.

Munx · 04/01/2012 20:55

Definitely...... Not seri agley? Wtf?

(sigh)

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 20:55

Hmmm, interesting new language Munx - "yes, seri agley baby brain" Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 21:00

Grin Munx Again, baby brain? Wink

That's rubbish Imps I never bother making naughty things when I am on my own. Have just poured my butternut soup into my new le creuset soup pots. Too hot to eat though at the mo. DH's oxtail is cooking nicely in the oven.

I am indeed on CD24. Hopefully my cheapies will be here tomorrow, so one may accidently fall into a pee-filled ramekin. You know, just to check they work Hmm

Did anyone watch the baking brothers? The opening line made me snigger Grin

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 21:12

I've already nearly started blubbing!! I love the Leeds accent - which I had one.

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 21:13

wish I had one. Doofus.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 21:14

Me too, on both counts Imps I will be in floods by the end Blush

Munx · 04/01/2012 21:18

Baby brain all round then Grin

Oh I love OBEM. Making DH watch it too!

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 21:47

Errrrm, that was a slightly frightening reaction from the dad...Hmm

Imps7 · 04/01/2012 21:54

Okay, I've gone

Munx · 04/01/2012 22:05

That second birth was just beautiful, like all brookers births shall be!

farfallarocks · 04/01/2012 22:09

oooooh i have watched this as I am worried it will make me sad, loved it last year though, nothing can be as good as Joy and pillowgate though, surely???

munx good to hear that you can take a break from dtd now and you rat smacketed at the right times!!!

Munx · 04/01/2012 22:29

Sorry far I had all the chips earlier Blush

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/01/2012 22:33

I just had a mini-meltdown. All a bit too much for me tonight with lack of sleep, illness and a really, really annoying puppy.

But you are right Imps that Dad was a tad scary.

And we are al going to have beautiful births, just like Munx has forecast Smile

Far I love Joy and her pillow. I wonders if she cringes when she watches it back?!

happybubbles20 · 04/01/2012 23:04

having seen a few of these threads - can you tell a newbie the meaning of rat smacking and who AF is please?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 05/01/2012 07:44

Welcome Happy Smile

Rat smacking refers to the old fairgound game of 'smack the rat' which we likened on a very old thread to getting the sperm to the egg Grin

AF is 'aunt flo', i.e. your period

Pull up a pew and tell us about yourself. We love a bit of fresh blood newbie!
