Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Rubbish thread title, apologies.

OP posts:
BeedleTheBard · 02/01/2012 16:53

Don't be feeling too sorry for me, I really like my job and compared to when I was working in London my working conditions are amazing.

And today I finally got my Xmas present from Amazon (well from DP via Amazon), the first one didn't arrive, so they sent out a replacement on the 28th, and guess what arrived today - both of them Grin

munx no idea wha to do I never do anymore OPKs after I've got a positive and a negative (and I often stop after the first positive) - though having said that maybe you got one of my positives as I didn't get any this month!

Imps7 · 02/01/2012 17:48

Munx if you don't mind me asking, what's your EWCM up to? If it's still there, I'd say shag; if not, I'd say, well, shag anyway TBH - Green's advice is good! Can you get false positives on OPKs?? I've no idea about them really, I gave up on them when they lied to me.

Loooopy, I wonder if it may be easier for you to only chart temps when you're able to take them in "perfect" conditions (i.e. at a set time and after 3 hours uninterrupted sleep). It may make it easier to read your chart if you only include "real" temperatures - I certainly noticed that mine were better if I missed out mornings where I'd had a drink the night before, had woken up and gone for a wee shortly before my temping time, or overslept and missed my 6:30am allotted time! I also found that taking temps fanjoly have been waaaay more reliable than my oral ones - it may be worth trying that if you don't object to sticking a thermometer up your fanjo on a daily basis.

That said, you won't need to do any of this given that you are already definitely up the duff :)

I have had some very unusual pant snot today - 3 big globs of stuff which has had the consistency of EWCM but is creamy, rather than clear. The last glob looked to have a little bit of pinky/brown in it, but TBH I didn't really get a very good look - it soon occurred to me that I was holding a tissue with cervical mucus on it about 5 cm from my face and at that stage I threw it in the loo in disgust. However, I am taking this as a 100% genuine bona fide implantation bleed and yet further evidence of my certain pregnancy and imminent BFP. Hurrah!

Off to dinner and then have a bath (or maybe the other way around - I haven't decided yet) - OH and I went for a lovely long walk which ended up being about 9 miles! My arse and knees are killing me.

See you later!

GreenOlives · 02/01/2012 20:39

Grin without a doubt Imps, that pant snot sounds like a good sign to me!

Munx · 02/01/2012 21:45

Ooh sounds promising imps

Well green and imps I did indeed muster it up enough, so second insurance shag done and dusted.

Four nights in a row...... Shock I need a night off tomorrow........Wink

Loooopy · 03/01/2012 08:29

imps your pant snot sounds promising!

and keeping fingers crossed that there are soon lots of BFPS, especially for greenolives munkx generic and stasi who sound like they really deserve one this year!

well after inputting todays temp into FF, it has now changed its mind and thinks i actually ovulated on CD17. (first it thought CD17, then it thought i hadn't ovulated, then it thought i ovulated on CD33 and now it is back to thinking i ovulated on CD17!!!) so now on CD37, still no sign of AF, and it now thinks i am 20dpo. internet cheapie was BFN earlier in week, trying to resist testing again until this Friday, as that would be the same number of days as it took before i got BFP with DS. But then again, FF might change it's mind about my ovulation date between now and then!!!

Loooopy · 03/01/2012 08:32

PS actually, forget that, WE ALL DESERVE BFP'S THIS YEAR LOL realised that might have come across different than i intended Confused

IMaybeanElf · 03/01/2012 09:41

Happy New Year Smackers!!

Have been here, there and everywhere over the festive period, but am now firmly back at home Smile

Generic I am so so sorry to hear your news. I am thinking of you today. 2012 will be your year my lovely, you mark my words.

Imps I am beyond excited at your implantation bleed. Am waiting with baited breath for an agreeable pee stick Grin

Who else are we waiting for to test? Someone must be ready to start 2012 off the way we mean to continue!

Great news about Hawthers too Grin

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and new year. I have ordered a new fanjometer (Otis ate the last one. Don't ask) and a bumper pack of cheapies. Imps Amazon also had the cheek to ask me if I wanted to share these purchases on FB. Erm, no.

Am off to GP later as I fear I have a throat and chest infection but surely the need for antibiotics=ironic BFP?

Loooopy · 03/01/2012 09:55

ooh maybe you have a lovely DH!!!!!!!!!!!!! have you dared to use it yet, or are you still enjoying admiring it in it's brand new state? does your DH realise that it will look lonely unless it has the whole set to keep it company? Xmas Grin

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 10:02

Thanks all!! I also decided my closet placed against the party wall needed rearranging and of course one can't leave the heavy, magnetic wooden door open between items, can one? :o

Hi maybe! Sorry to hear about your fanjometer's demise. It is funny though :o

beedle what's Thursday-Friday's holiday in aid of? I'm only back at work today but I'm still jealous! :)

munx it could be that you used weak wee yesterday? Imps you can get false positives on them as you always have it in your system ? apparently PCOS suffers are particularly prone to that. But without PCOS I'd expect it just to have been a weak sample, perhaps?

imps nooo that's very exciting! I'd love a utility room to stick all our crap laundry stuff in. Any word on the job yet?
Sounds like implantation to me, congratulations! Wine :o

Loopy that's soooo exciting! POAS! POAS!

Not had an AF like this since I was a teenager, stupidly heavy - I had to break out the hottiebottie and everything Shock Blush

I was thinking, though, about my epic 15 day luteal phase - it coincides with me not drinking for the first 3 weeks of my cycle (so til about 4dpo), and my boob pain has been more pronounced this cycle too. So, very non-scientifically, I've decided that the alcohol-progesterone link is 100% fact :o

I am tempted to buy a CBFM from fleabay as I am FED THE FECK UP and spent most of yesterday in self indulgent, unnecessary, unhelpful, probably 90% hormonal PMS-related tears. Does anyone know if you NEED to have them on CD1, and thus it's pointless til next month?

IMaybeanElf · 03/01/2012 10:06

Loooopy I am liking your thinking Grin I have used it, I made my Mum a birthday cake. I just stood and stared at going round and round

Pop so sorry to hear you having a nasty AF. She is obviously just going out with a bang. I have no idea about CBFMs though I secretly want one too Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/01/2012 10:22
PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 10:27

Love it, maybe!

I just googled and someone on another forum said you can start it up to CD5. So I think I might take the plunge and just not tell DH how much they cost Blush

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 10:29

Of course it's all wholly unncessary because we shag regularly for the whole cycle, generally speaking, so it will make zero difference except to my peace of mind :(

Imps7 · 03/01/2012 10:32

Tee hee hello Maybe, am loving the new 2012 PMA! You are right - there is no maybe about it - it's a matter of when and not if. Am well jel of your Kitchen Aid - hopefully when our utility room is done and I can shove a load of crap from the kitchen in there I will have room in my kitchen cupboards for one myself! Which colour have you got? I've got my eye on the gorgeous raspberry pink one!

Pops sorry to hear about the tears yesterday - am sure that lack of sleep thanks to the moron next door didn't help matters either. I don't know anything about the CBFM, but if it will help you feel more in control of things then it will be worth the investment. I am with you on the alcohol/progesterone link - I have conducted similar experiments myself in the past with the same results and so far in this 2ww my boobs are more painful than usual and I've had very little to drink.

No more dubious pant snot today. It really says something about us when unusual vaginal excretions causes so much excitement Grin!

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 10:38

Thanks imps yes I think I was quite overtired as I stayed up late watching Bear Grylls and Miranda Hart, too! DH came home from work and took me to the pub :o
I've ordered it. The free next day delivery clinched it :o At least it will be a distraction Blush

Anyone planning to watch The Fabulous Baker Brothers on C4 tonight? I dont tape cookery programmes as a rule, but phwoah. That's all I'm sayin'. Blush

Imps7 · 03/01/2012 10:40

Free next day delivery you say?? Then it's positively a bargain! What are you going to spend the money you saved on delivery on?

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 10:44

I might have already bought some yarn that I didn't need in the John Lewis sale last week Blush :o

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/01/2012 10:48

Oooh, I am well jel Pop

And I am mot definitely watching those brothers. Strictly for baking purposes of course

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/01/2012 10:49

Oooh I love JL for yarn Pop I am eagerly awaiting the end of January to get my first parcel for the sock club I joined ages ago Grin

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 11:01

Wow I didn't know JL did a sock club! I love it too, I always ask for JL vouchers if I don't know what I want for my birthday :)

I have a single creuset cassrole pan that I got from TK Maxx for £35 - and I use it for everything, it's great. It's past its best, but i can't justify replacing it with a snazzy purple one sadly.

whimsicalname · 03/01/2012 12:04

maybe and pop, what do you do with all the socks you knit? I do about a pair a year for me, but can't think of anyone else I could give them to. Knitter friends have enough and I tend not to give not knitter friends time consuming knitted presents (insufficiently appreciative of the time they take emoticon).

I have resolved to craft more this year, and to remember to blog about it. There may be more socks forthcoming!

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 13:09

I don't knit many socks, whimsy - I get bored by the time I've done the first one and invariably never knit the 2nd Blush but if I did, I'd knit tonnes for me and DH who goes through them like wildfire.

I don't do much knitting for others at all tbh. I find some non-knitters mostly my ILs think it's easy and cheap (well I suppose it is, for them ) and they get a bit demanding and grabby :( but that's a whole 'nother post!

CupcakesAndCocktails · 03/01/2012 14:02

Happy New Year Rat Smackers!!!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. I've been AWOL for a while as my laptop is dying plus my iPhone keeps playing up.

I've only been able to read a few pages. Generic I did read your news before my laptop broke. I'm so sorry, hope your appointment went ok.

Sorry to all the smackers who've been visited by AF (myself included Sad)
Anyway that's the last time she will be visiting for 9 months so there!

Imps am very excited about the pink cm, clearly implantation my dear! When will you be confirming?!

Maybe am so Envy of the kitchenaid. I've got £300 towards one stashed away. I just need to save a bit more. What colour did you get?

I did actually have the last £100 I needed to buy it. However in a crazed moment I bought a CBFM off amazon a few days ago. I didn't realise you needed to start it by a certain day Pop, it's not been dispatched yet and I'm already on cd4. Oops! Well here comes my ironic BFP after shelling out £75 GrinGrinGrin

Hope everyone is well and enjoying being back at work Wink

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 14:12

£300 towards a mixer? Shock

:o cupcakes, ironic bfp winging its way to you as we speak!

We accidentally left the freezer open a fraction last night and a few bits on the top shelf defrosted - steak for lunch and now I feel a bit yuck Blush

PopcornMouse · 03/01/2012 14:15

I just read something online in which couples ttc over 12 months were referred to as "sub fertile". Nice Angry :(
