Those rats are jolly well going to be smacked this cycle and AF shall have arrows, hatred and misery cast upon her! No argument shall be brooked on both points.

Hello ladies! I hope you had a great Christmas? I had a lovely Christmas eve with the extended in-laws and acquired enough AIBUs to last me a lifetime and had a lovely Christmas lunch with my sister and her family :)

Glad that Stasi is just busy!

9dpo and symptoms coming out of my ears which probably means I'm not pg lol :o

GreenOlives · 26/12/2011 21:47

Happy Boxing Day ladies! Hope you are all having a nice festive time. Sorry to hear about AF bean and about poorly DS. My DS is still under the weather too, he even struggled to open all his presents Sad think he might be on the up a bit today, how's your little man doing?

Hope CM has shown up Imps (and not in your stocking Xmas Wink)

Tell us your symptoms Pop?

Santa bought be a PWP (Pathetic Weak Positive) yesterday, I'm a bit Xmas Shock and I can't really believe it. It was also slightly outside of the time window so I have exercised enormous self-restraint and not tested again today, I'm going to wait until FMU tomorrow and hope that I have something closer to a BFP then! I'll be back tomorrow to let you know! xx

Stasi · 26/12/2011 23:37

Evening all, and merry Christmas. I've been trying to catch up on this thread for days, but as I'm reading on my phone I never seem to get there. I'm still 6 pages behind. Very sorry if I've had anyone worried, just been totally steam rollered with having my nephew here. He's such a little time sink, but totally adorable. I hope everyone has had a good Christmas. I'm purposefully not reading back so I actually make a post. Sorry if I've missed important news, I will catch up soon.

The only post I did manage to read was olives getting a bfp!!!!! I'm sure tomorrows pee stick will be even more agreeable than today's. That's my Christmas wish come true, a bfp for at least one of you lovely ladies. Really hope in the readback there will be more.

BeedleTheBahHumbug · 27/12/2011 06:55

Ooh olives exciting news, hope it turns into a BFP this morning. What a perfect present if it does Xmas Grin

Hope everyone has had a lovely few days and are enjoying the turkey leftovers

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 27/12/2011 07:50

Oh my god Olives - I have everything crossed (except for my legs - it is egg popping time chez Imps after all) that your next pee stick is fully compliant!! I cannot wait to hear the good news!!! Xmas Grin

EWCM arrived on Christmas day! Not as much as usual but enough to do the job I hope. Egg should pop today or tomorrow and Mr Imps and I are being reunited this afternoon so good timing really.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! It was fab here as always and my most abstemious Christmas ever - only 3 bottles of beer and 4 small glasses of wine over Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Am not giving my egg any excuse not to turn into a baby this time around!

Thanks Stasi Beedle & Imps but it appears I was a little premature and I can now add a chemical pregnancy to my list of failed pregnancies Sad I got up at 4.30 when I could hold my pee in no longer and got a BFN. I then tossed and turned for a couple of hours in bed before getting up again to find AF had arrived, I'm gutted Sad Sad Sad I'm really cross that I tested on Christmas day, a slightly late AF seems a lot easier to deal with than a failed implantation IYSWIM? I'm also a bit confused as I still have sore boobs and that usually stops about 8-12 hours before AF's arrival. I am just so paranoid about having another ectopic, I think I'll test again once my bleeding has stopped just to be sure that nothing's growing in the wrong place again. Think it might be a few days before I can muster up some brooking spirit again ladies!

Loooopy · 27/12/2011 08:48

sorry to hear that olives and glad you are back with us stasi! not a surprise it's hard to keep up with this thread, it moves so fast!!

well i have not a clue what my body is doing. Fertility friend still thinks i haven't ovulated, but most of my temps aren't at the same time which i think has made a big difference with me. Today is CD30. For a few days i had a ache/pain/cramps possibly, in left groin area, (well somewhere that direction lol) and although i never had period pain pre -DS, i thought this meant thatr maybe i was getting period pains now and that AF was about to start. But still no sign, and no cramps today and todays temp (at the proper time) is 36.5 which is 0.4 higher than yesterdays which was at a much earlier hour as DS woke us at stupid o clock. And i thought your temp was meant to drop when AF was on her way?

Part of me thinks FF is right, not ovulated, and i have a very long cycle and AF will arrive sometime over the next week, another part of me can't help wonder if maybe i have ovulated after all but FF not detected it as my temps are not taken at the same time every day, and that sometimes i haven't had at least 3 hours sleep before taking them and that maybe just maybe i might get a BFP in the next week or so....but feel like i am clutching at straws slightly and trying to not get my hopes up! Did a test on xmas day, BFN, but with DS i got a BFN 17days after we had sex, and then got BFP another 6 days after (23 days after sex-so i guess about CD37ish

To anyone who gets period painds/cramps, how long do you have them before AF arrives?

(and a belated Happy Xmas to you all)

PopcornMouseInAReindeerJumper · 27/12/2011 09:34

olives I'm really sorry AF has come :(

I tested this morning and for a bfn, but it's too early really (10dpo). It wasn't FMU either (silly popcorn) as I've barely slept (for no particular reason).

Symptoms aaaare: 3 days of really bad nausea, indigestion, sore boobs (but I always get that), cramping for the past 5 days on and off, and I can't seem to stop weeing Blush Disclaimer: I also have a cold, and most of my symptoms can be put down to being generally worn out.

PopcornMouseInAReindeerJumper · 27/12/2011 09:36

Loopy isn't it normal to have quite irregular/longish cycles when you're still breastfeeding? It might take a while for them to work themselves out and start ovulating regularly?

I only get period pains when I'm actually on iykwim, I don't get them in advance. I quite often get sick both ends the day before, though Blush

ArcticMunkiiii · 27/12/2011 18:55

So sorry olives hope you have managed to have a good Christmas though.

Nice to see everybody popping in, we are home again now. CD12 here so the SWI has begun every other day for us. Didn't realise how much the mc had affected me, didn't really have a chance after the first to be glum after the initial shock as was pg with DD so quickly after. So feeling a bit down.

Keep thinking, and torturing myself, that I should be having a baby in July, which of course I won't be.

Need to be positive, have our consultant appointment in June in any case.

Hope you are all well and am brooking hard for you all! Fingers crossed for you popcorn.

SantaAndHisChristmasImps · 28/12/2011 07:28

Oh Munkii have a hug and a slice of leftover Christmas turkey and leek pie . You may not have a baby in July, but you will have your baby soon after that - a few months makes no difference in the context of a life time. Keep your chin up, lovely, and please don't torture yourself with "what ifs" etc.

Some exciting symptoms Popcorn! 10 DPO is too early for even the most giving pee stick.

I tend to get AF cramps for a few days in between ov and AF and for a day or two in the run up to her arriving. I also get nausea the day before and slight poo issues when she's here.

CD20 today - I'm expecting the egg to pop today, hopefully. I had the worst Mittelschmerz yesterday (ooh, get me with my big German medical words) - it was so sore, the worst it's ever been. It must be one hell of an egg preparing itself to pop. I'm really confused by lack of EWCM this cycle though - I've barely had any compared to usual months. We used Preseed last night though so hopefully that will help.

Looooooooooopy I also think it's usual to have odd cycles when BFing, but cannot speak from experience. Have you posted on the TTC when BFing thread (if it's still there - I can't remember having seen it for a while...) - the lovely ladies on there should be able to help.

Right, I have the day off and 1001 chores to do. I think I'm going to spend some time reviewing and amending my list of baby names for a while this morning though, just for fun [saddo emoticon].

See you later!

OP posts:
BeedleTheBahHumbug · 28/12/2011 07:57

silly popcorn I'd never test that early, honest I'm sure its negative because you tested too early, at least that's what I tell myself. Wait a few days and use some nice concentrated wee Xmas Grin

munkii hugs to you, and as imps says don't toture yourself with what ifs, the baby you're going to get pregnant with very soon will be the most perfect one.

I'm back at work today and my parents fly home, so Christmas is over here - but it was lovely, we even managed some SFF, a bit too early as I won't ov till NYE. I'm going to refer myself for tests in February if I haven't found an agreeable peestick by then, its a bit scary but after 12 or so cycles without even a hint of a BFP I'm sure there must be something wrong somewhere.

Anyway I ought to pretend to do some work, though I haven't got much to do and there is only 1 other person in my dept here so I could stay on MN all day Xmas Grin

SweetieTinselandBaubles · 28/12/2011 11:07

Merry Christmas ladies, hope you all had lovely festive time with your loved ones in RL.

Olives sorry to hear that AF arrived after the almost BFP, hope you are ok Thanks

Imps sounds like the timing was good for you guys and very impressed by the limit quantity of booze

Pop any news? all looking very good for you and those symptoms have BFP written all over them, just at 10 DPO those peskie pee sticks like to drag things out Xmas Wink

Munkii hugs to you my dear, it must be so hard to think what could have been - thinking Imps turkey and leek pie might cheer you up

Imps sounds like SWI is going well and baby names always there to be updated just in case Xmas Grin

Think I am CD7 but due to the funny AF, I am not really sure as it never really started. BFN this morning must put down those straws which I am clutching so will be gearing up for SWI any day. Am convinced I was preg this time and it didn't implant, I am not sure if I need to be checked out to see if there is a problem.

DH and I have have had loads of baby related conversations over the hols, started by him. Lots of nice things such as baby names, when will it happen, what we would need to change in our current live etc. He wants us to go for referral ASAP but I am reluctant at the additional pressure this will put on us. Will see how things feel in Spring time and we have a few more cycles under our belts.

We are going for a countryside walk today to blows those Christmas cobwebs off. Hope you all have a lovely day and will catch up later.

^ paranoid it might have outed me irl Blush

Munkii I agree with Imps and beedle. It's totally normal to grieve, but don't beat yourself up, it's nobody's fault and, like Imps said, you're sure to fall pregnant again soon and a few months will make no difference in the grand scheme of things

Sweetie is it the first time it's happened? If it is, I don't think I'd worry - but if it's a regular thing, then you might be worth getting checked out incase it's something immune-related like Far ?

That sounds like a whopper, Imps - good luck :o

11DPO here, still nauseas but I also have an awful cold :(
AF due on NYD. Luckily I've nothing planned for NYE so I can safely wait for her arrival and save my fiver before cracking open the vino Hmm

SweetieTinselandBaubles · 28/12/2011 16:26

Pop I think think this has happened to me before, I might go get it checked out. Will ask Far how she was diagnosed too.

Hope your cold clears up soon my dear, are we over the Christmas names now too?

farfallarocks · 28/12/2011 17:04

hello all, hope you all had a good xmas!

olives so osrry about AF, it sucks I know.

Just a quickie to say to sweetie the issues I have is a clotting issue which needs to be tested with heparin not an immune issue as far as I am aware, at least I have not been tested for Natural Killer Cells. There are several places in London that test for them though, Dr Shehata is the most well know. The Zita West clinic now tests for it too as do a few IVF clinics.
Very few places do it on the NHS sadly.

Good luck with it all!

Nothing to report here, lots of SWI over the holidays so now in the 2ww!

SweetieTinselandBaubles · 28/12/2011 17:14

Thanks Far I will check out places more local to me (ie Yorkshire)

Munx · 28/12/2011 21:07

Hiya Brookers

It's me, Munkiii just with a slightly different name. Fed up of all the i's!!

CD13 here I think, no joy with OPK yet but just keeping on!

Hope everybody is OK.

Loooopy · 28/12/2011 21:26

so tomorrow is CD32 and still no sign of AF. Just wondering what is the longest cycle anyone has had where they haven't been pregnant (or haven't ovulated)

FF still isn't convinced i ovulated, (although for first time in a while have had 2 days on the trot where my temps were taken at the right time, and they are higher than the ones earlier in the cycle which might be promising - 36.5 for the last two days, compared to 36.3 for the early days) so not sure if it's worth potentially wasting money on buying a first response early test or not......if FF had initially been right when it thought i ov'd on CD17 then i would be 15dpo tomorrow...not sure how long to wait as no idea how long my cycle might be.....
