Hello ladies,

Well I got period last night bang on 28 days woo hoo - my first proper 4 week cycle in almost 15 months - I was getting kind of pissed off with a period every 20 days or so :).

So although I am not preggers hopefully it means that I have something concrete to look at re charting etc. Have got a stinking cold which has bollocked up the temping as I can't breathe through my nose so basically did not temp the past couple of days. However I did do internal temping this morning but do wonder how accurate it is when a tampax is also sharing residence - sorry grim thought I know.

squirrel I just can't be ferreting around with my bits feeling for CP and CM as luckily I know I can get pregnant - sticking a thermometer up there makes me squirm!!!! I just seem to take years for it to happen..... DP and I used no protection for years before I fell for DS then last year we SWI with military precision to conceive baby that was not meant to be.

So this month of TTC I am going to take my temp at the same time each morning and use fanjo instead of oral and keep on with CBFM. I have an appointment with nurse on 4th Jan to go over history and start ball rolling with fertility referral.

Hope everybody has a great Xmas as I will now not log on until after the event.

x

TreacleChops · 23/12/2011 16:09

hey ladies,

everyone sorted for xmas yet?!

i've been feeling quite funny recently, and i did notice some bleeding on the 5th for about 5 days, but it was only when i wiped (sorry if TMI)

Well, i tested on the 9th - negative

tested again on the 16th - negative

tested this morning and i had a faint line of a BFP - totally in ore of the situation as myself and dp have been trying for 16 months :P

However, because it was only a faint line i don't want to take it as gospel. What do you think?

TheNewMrsC · 23/12/2011 16:19

Ooh treacle that sounds like a BFP to me !!! POAS first thing tomorrow using FMU and you should get a clearer line . If not I'd make a dr appointment - but a line is a line however faint !!!GrinGrin

Well I have changed my mind and I can now absolutely definitely feel af coming . She will be here tomorrow morning I'm sure

TreacleChops · 23/12/2011 17:08

Aww thanks Mrs C, it's exciting news isn't!

Been walking round all day in a complete daze, as i have had so many bfn's i was beginning to think it was never going to happen!

it's amazing how weird i feel in myself too :/

however, bloody rotten time - cant enjoy a drip of alcohol, or pate, or soft cheese all over the festive period now!!! haha!

TreacleChops · 23/12/2011 17:09

and - i hope that you get your bfp pritty soon :P

TheNewMrsC · 24/12/2011 08:03

Sooo treacle did you POAS this morning ??? GrinGrin

Well , I was so sure af would have been here this morn when I woke up so when I got up and there was no sign of her (not even spotting) done an eBay cheapie and got bfnSadSad gutted I think af is just going to show up later in the day Sad

jennilondon · 24/12/2011 09:12

MrsC and Treacle - how many dpos are you? You might be testing too early! Be patient! And fingers crossed for you! Xmas Grin

Took my temp today, second day of 36.8 and above while it was more like 36.6 earlier this week, so I think I might have ovulated! I can feel slight stomach cramps, is that a good thing or not?Hmm(or psychological?)

TheNewMrsC · 24/12/2011 09:51

I'm only going by ewcm but think I am 14dpo .
Yeah stomach cramps are a good sign - ovulation pain !! Grin

OptiMumPrime · 24/12/2011 13:59

Well, AF is late, but I am not testing for a few days as I have been late before.

Polar Express in tv now, enjoying chilling out, lovely. Merry Christmas, all of you, hope there are lots of BFPs to report soon.

TreacleChops · 24/12/2011 14:32

Whysoserious · 24/12/2011 18:10

Happy Christmas eve all! Im hoping to log on here tomorrow and hear about some very exciting BFPs from you ladies that are late.

I'm not holding out much hope. Definite cramps today at 8/9dpo. Feeling very sorry for myself as I had really got my hopes up. Ive been vile to be around today too - very very irritable. Expecting pre-AF spotting to start in the next couple of days. SadSad

Whysoserious · 24/12/2011 19:05

Evening Polar Expressers! Merry Christmas to you all.

Have popped on here to see if there are any updates (Christmas Day BFPs!!) but none as yet Sad

I am having strong cramps again today and am anticipating the pre-AF spotting to start tomorrow so am pretty confident that this isnt my month. For the last 3 months the spotting has started on 11dpo. Boo to that!!

Have had a lovely Christmas day though and have managed to forget about the whole TTC thing GrinGrin

Morning all and Merry Christmas !!Smile

Hope you all had a lovey day !

Sorry opti hope it didn't spoil the festivities too mug for youSad

Well , still no sign of af and 4 POAS later still no BFP SadSad no idea what is going on . Rather frustrated if truth be told . Anyway I think if they are not here by the time the dr open back up on wed I will make a wee appointment .

How is everyone else ? X

jennilondon · 26/12/2011 11:24

Merry Christmas all!

Optimum - sorry for AFs visit... Hope you'll get a BFP next time!

Whysoserious - keep your head up until AF visits! You never know! Fingers crossed for you!

Hope there are more BFPs coming our way on this thread!

I'm only dpo4. This 2ww really is not easy, especially over Xmas, would really love some wine!

Have been thinking about a winter sun holiday. Quite tempted to go to Maldives to have some heavenly romantic moments with just the two of us before any babies, however most resorts need speedboat or seaplane transfer, would that be ok if pg?

jennilondon · 26/12/2011 11:26

mrsC fingers crossed for you! How many dpos are you?

Whysoserious · 26/12/2011 11:58

Jenni I've heard the Maldives is rife with pregnant women having their last relaxing holiday before all hell breaks loose. I'm sure it'll be absolutely fine.

MrsC keep us updated - no AF is good news and false negatives are fairly common.

I'm 10/11dpo today and went to bed last night with fairly strong cramps. Felt confident that I would wake up this morning to spotting and sure enough that is exactly what has happened. Sad

So far it's been one small bit on wiping and nothing since then. This seems to have happened every month for the last few months and so I know it's not a good sign. I am gutted :( and all the signs seem to point to low progesterone which is scaring me a bit. A friend of the family announced they were pregnant yesterday and my mum started saying 'it's not fair. I want grandchildren' (sort of jokingly but still that upset me because I knew what was coming)

The thing I hate about this spotting is, if it was full blown AF I would just relax, have a bottle glass of wine and eat goats cheese whilst taking a ridiculously hot bath, but it kind of leaves me in no-mans land because I'm 95% sure that I know what's coming but I still have at thought in the back of my mind 'what if I was PG and still had the spotting anyway?' so I'll end up testing anyway.

Grrrrr.... Sorry about the rant

Spuddybean · 26/12/2011 12:26

Hi all, i did a early response test on Weds (as i was having an xray) 5 days early - and it was BFN. I was due on xmas day.

Anyway, still no AF so i just did a cheapy boots test and it was BFP! i am very excited but wondering if it is true. Are these accurate and would the fact i had quite a few drinks yesterday have affected the outcome?!

I just called my parents who kindly told me it was probably a false alarm. They also insisted i drink throughout my pregnancy if it is true and shouted at me that i was 'going to be one of THOSE' people etc if i didn't.

I came off the phone feeling pretty shit :(

I should be happy but i've convinced myself it wasn't true so now i don't know what to believe.

LauraM20 · 26/12/2011 13:41

Spuddybean, a BFP is definitely a BFP!!! So congratulations! Sorry you didn't feel happy after you spoke to your parents, but it looks like you will have a little one on the way so yippee!!!

No progress for me, trying to have swi but it's really difficult with the family staying, dh isn't keen so doesn't look like we will get pg this month :-( never mind. Christmas has been amazing tho, lots of wine consumed! Hope everyone has had a lovely time xx

dameflamingo · 26/12/2011 18:06

Hello all. Christmas with family and their various offspring has exhausted my patience so much I cannot even remember why we are TTC! (grins) sorry all who got a visit from af in the past few days...sounds like a few of you spent a lot of time in the bathroom...there is no escape from family here so no chance of time to POAS without at least three guests! Love Chrimbo!

I was really interested in hearing about 'symptom spotting' it seems a bit of a cruel joke how close to pre menstrual symptoms, pregnancy symptoms appear to be. My thoughts are with you all.

Got a weird pain in my abdomen a few days ago which I thought could possibly be ovulation ..too much reading around the subject I think! Been reading up on tilted uteruses and pouting cervix..basically the more I read the less I seem to get it!!

JNO18 · 26/12/2011 18:10

Hi ladies

Sounds like a positive then spuddy! I'd test again soon if I were you.

I am 14dpo and have done a few tests already. All negative but no sign of AF. It's driving me mad. Staying at my parents. Mum keeps asking me whats wrong and my sister was here with her 3 kids this aft asking when we're going to have a baby. Agh!

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to test. Smile

Squirrel77 · 26/12/2011 19:51

Hi all - nothing to report here - but I'm only 8DPO.

Going abroad for a few weeks tomorrow so my mind has been on other things. I have no symptoms at all - keep poking my boobs but nothing is happening there!

I might POAS before jumping on the plane tomorrow but don't think a positive would show up at this stage...

FX for all!
