As well as lots of TTC support we can share in Christmas fun, gift and decoration ideas. We need to be good though to Saint nick brings us our BFPs!

spuddy that sounds like a BFP for me! If you are skeptical try another test! Fingers crossed for you !

General question for all: how many dpos do you usually wait till you test? Can you use those first response one even sooner? (they said 6 days before AF due date) im only dpo5 so will need to be more patient!

Just checked first response website, not 6 days before AF due date, but up to 5 days before AF due date. I guess I'll wait for another week then...

Well I'm now around 17 (?) dpo around 2-3 days late tested with first response this morning with FMU and bfn so I have no idea what is going on . I don't really feel as tho af are on their way tho - I did last week but they never came . According to the internet if I am pg I should have a strong +ve by now so think af are just late . So annoying I kind of just want them to come now so I can move on to the next cycle !!

jenni you are better just waiting until after af it's rare to get a BFP before then .

I just had a thought , with DD I was around 8 days late (wasn't ttc so wasn't too sure of cycles back then) and it was a first response I used and the line was sooo faint I actually didn't believe it until it was confirmed by dr . So maybe I have some hope to hang on too ?? Clutching as straws here ??

Well after my one tiny bit of pink when I wiped yesterday and feeling gutted and being horrid all day as a result, I had nothing for the rest of the day apart from a few barely there trAces of CM tinged with brown which I would not have noticed had I not been knicker watching. No stains in knickers just present on wiping. I had the odd fluttery twitchy feeling in lower abdomen an almost constant mild cramps.

This morning I have had nothing so far apart from a bit more watery brown tinged CM after I went for a poo but still have almost constant cramps.

I forgot to mention yesterday my temp dropped down below the cover line (another thing that gutted me) but today it has gone back up again. I am either 11 or 12 dpo today.

I am trying not to get my hopes up because I was so low yesterday that I don't want a double whammy - I'm pretty sure once I start moving around (ive been very lazy so far this morning) there'll be more spotting.

I've been desperately googling people that spot before period and have found that (apart from the most worrying thing which is most of them seem to be struggling to get pregnant) those that do manage to get a bfp either dont spot at all that cycle or do spot as normal but then AF never arrives. So I suppose I just need to hold on another 2 or 3 days... I'm really not going to get my hopes up though as I have also realised that people with my affliction also tend to fall for the "maybe its an implantation bleed" trap every month and get double the when af finally comes.

whyso just hang in there! And don't think about it too much, if the egg fertilised it would have fertilised by now, if it hasn't, nothing you can do now to change it for this cycle... So... Wait and see what happens!

I know it's easier said than done but I'm saying that anyway! I'll resist testing or thinking about it till AF is due, which is 1st week of Jan! (my cycle is not very regular, assuming 33 day cycle it'd be 1/1)

Whats the thing about people who spot finding it more difficult to conceive ? Is there a reason for it ? I'm intrigued now lol

jenni the past few cycles I have wasted so much time and money testing the days leading up to af , then af comes anyway .

Now I'm late , testing and still getting the bfn's
I am at the end of my tether here if af doesn't arrive today I am making a dr appointment as I usually have to wait about a week for an appointment anyway .

I just dont know why I am getting bfn's but no af !!

It's awful hearing you all sounding so deflated. C'mon polar expressers we are on this train together and will jolly well arrive at our destination with smiles on our faces!! Christmas/ family time is always a bit fraught and it certainly doesnae help when you get folk booming 'so then...when are you sprigging up' or similar over the pigs in blankets.

For those awaiting POAS time chin up..you have done all you can. For those on the 2ww lots of healthy thinking and veggies to be eaten. For those swi...time to get the stockings on...and for those like me awaiting medical intervention..all of the above. Loads to look forward to and happy thoughts make happy people who make lots of whoopee and thus nice plump babies!

Whyso I know exactly how you feel. Mine was also slightly brown CM on the tissue this morning. Last month the same happened and I was holding out hope that i could still be pg but AF arrived properly about 12 hours later. I still have that niggling doubt in the back of my mind.

Oops I didn't mean to sound so miserable I'm feeling positive today and hoping I wont get much spotting and it'll turn out to be a BFp. But then I get scared about feeling to positive so I have to check myself before I wreck myself haha!

MrsC the whole spoTting thing seems to be a bit of a mystery but I guess if the uterine lining is starting to shed then it makes it impossible for a little bean to stick. But something also occurred to me last night after hours of googling; I found a post on another website where someone commented on Pregnacare causing people to spot - well I've been spotting for 4 months which is exactly the same amount of time I've been taking pregnacare for...interesting!

Low and behold she has now fully arrived.

I have PMT and am well and truly fed up with the whole idea for a big Christmas selection box of reasons. Hugs to those trying and disheartened.

Well I've just done a First Response. - BFN . At 11/12dpo I think that's pretty conclusive but it ain't over til AF arrives I guess. Hope she gets here before new year so I can celebrate hopefully what will be my last childless NY in style!

I started out pretty early in this thread...... but then didnt come back !

Been a bit of a busy month, not SWI but plenty of nights out, lots of work, stress etc. only DTD twice..

Got MY BFP tonight after realising AF had not come.

Currently in shock..... wanted this sooo much now worried because I have drank/smoked a few sneaky ones/been stressed/ lifted heavy things.

No idea what to do next after TTC for 11 months I seriously didnt think it would happen.

So happy keep looking at my test but soo scared too.

Congratulations signet - wonderful news - don't worry about all the things you've been doing - you know that the embryo will have been living off the egg and not mixing circulation with you until v recently - so just be good from now on. I'm sure most of our parents had a few cigs, drinks, lifting etc when pregnant with us and we all turned out ok!?

Wonderful motivational speech above - need to think positive everyone and if not pregnant enjoy a few NYE drinks

Interested about OD'ing on vits- they make me seriously nauseated (damn vitamins not pregnant )so haven't been taking them very regularly ... must try harder

Well af arrived for me on boxing day. No huge surprise there. Only annoying thing is its yet another irregular cycle but at least I know for definite that I can drink a huge amount of shots at nye and not worry. My new years resolution is to swi as much as possible

Well , still no af for me but no BFP either I have no idea what's going on I'm 4 days late now . Do you think if I went to my gp he would give me a blood test ?
