Yes that's today.
For the last 6 cycles we've not been trying but not actively preventing either.
In the middle of all this I had a cervical cancer scare but I've had the all clear. This had the happy upshot of having and ultra sound which meant they were able to tell me that they couldn't see anything bad, but also they could see that everything looks healthy and my ovaries were all as they should be.

So, what news here?

Sorry to AF came pipbin that's crap. On the bright side, you can enjoy the festivities to the max and start again in the new year.

Well I had a temp rise yesterday and it has stayed higher today but is lower than yesterday (IYSWIM) so hopefully that means ovulation has happened. I will try and link my chart in a bit once I've worked out how and all you experts can look at it and tell me what you think.

I think I'm going to abstain from the bonking now. I've done my bit for this month and, quite frankly, DH and I will be glad to just be able to go to sleep when we go to bed haha. Oh the romance of TTC

I think originally I put on my stats that AF was due on 27th but that was going by the spotting that I get being the first day. Now I realise that full flow is the first day so I think now AF will be here on 30th/31st. (Hopefully not though!!)

Because of the spotting I get, I think I'll know by the 27th though so we shall see. Maaaaaan I hope it works this time!! I'm trying to be really optimistic because usually I'm like "nah it won't happen" but if I go "could be this month.." then all the positive thoughts might make my body comply

Yes!!! The second one worked. Ok so, I started temping for the first time this month but up until last weekend I don't think I was doing properly - I was doing it at different times, or cuddling DH before taking temp etc. FrOm Monday 15th I did it 6:15 on the dot every morning so has been consistent. Although last night I was quite restless and did wake up at 4am which may have affected my temp?

CBFM predicted ovulation On CD18- do any of you charting experts think my chart confirms that from what you can tell so far?

I'm no expert but I would have said CD18 as well as your temp had a sharp rise after that...although it did go back down for one day (but that is quite normal - FF calls it a 'fallback rise' - check out their manual). My chart is equally weird this month...

Anyway I fear we are hijacking this thread with temping and mucus hunting....how's everyone else?

Bloody typical - thought the charting was going well and then this mornings temperature reading has thrown a spanner in the works and says CBFM and FF are giving conflicting information - I know that but which is right?

Would the CBFM show peaks if the urine sample didn't have the LH hormone in it.... so confused :(

i am now cd 30 af was due Friday i tested yesterday and bfn but still no af but i have started with cramps tonight so she may be here tomorrow.

I think I can feel af coming ...

I'm feeling a bit sad this morning ladies as my temp has gone down again this morning so am worried that I haven't ovulated and therefore there's nothing to look forward to in hoping for a BFP this month. I have been waking up in the night a lot and have a bad cough so who knows if that has effected my bbt.

Also this morning I have taken my temp a total of 5 times without getting out of bed and it has fluctuated between 36.29 and 36.48 in the space of 20 mins. I don't understand how I can possibly get an accurate reading if that's the case.

It's really made me feel quite blue this morning after feeling so positive for the last few days

Can i join, im hoping im pregnant when i test, AF due around 10th Jan, i thought i was pregnant this month but test was negative then i came on the day after :( So fingers crossed i catch on this month :) I already have 2 boys and oldest is a September 2006 baby, so another September baby would be lovely :)

So I just got back from the doctors appointment, he assures me that it's normal we haven't conceived yet and has asked me to temperature chart for the next three months to check I am ovulating even if the periods are irregular. He gave me a full check up and said everything looked ok! :)

So here to lots of SWI over the next few weeks... only spanner in the works is travelling to my mum and dad's for christmas and get so put off trying to do it in their house!
Might have to send them out to walk our dog quite a few times over the coming week!

Congratulations hunny fantastic news!!! Glad to hear your doc has checked you out and you're all ok jencd! Sneaky and quiet at your parents' place is the way to do it reckon ;)

Am on my third day of highs on my CBFM today... hoping tomorrow is a peak! Lots and lots of SWI - every day right now! Lexiearrrgh can't believe you have the stamina to temp AND use CBFM... I only just remember to POAS every morning, and have stopped temping in the meantime! I know the temperature changes are the surefire way to know if you DID ovulate, but I would think (maybe?) the CBFM is more accurate? Because it's just reading what's there in your urine, and unlikely to be prone to error? Tricky.

Hi all! Please can I join? I'm new to mumsnet, this is my first ever post :)

I'm 31, we stopped contraception in October, but decided to start temping and charting on FF a week ago as my period is quite irregular (last 5: 36, 32, 34, 45 and 34 so I reckon it's about 34...). I'm still getting my head around it as my temperature suddenly jumped on Sunday by 0.5C and dropped back 0.4C today so I don't know if I've ovulated yet!

Anyway, CD20 today, my AF is due first few day of Jan, hope she won't come!

After feeling a bit this morning I've decided to completely disregard my temps for this month - having a nasty cough and a cold won't have made them very accurate anyway. I know the odd anovulatory month isn't anything to worry about if that is the case but I'm just going to go by CBFM and assume it was on day 18 so I don't feel so forlorn.

In fact I'm going to start the 2ww in earnest with some crazy symptom spotting.

Well, it's 4dpo today and I have had very very mild cramps.

I have also had a major craving for cheesy footballs. Hmmm

Lexie I just looked at your chart and I reckon the CBFM Ov day is right. I think it would have been the same on FF if the temperature you had taken on that day had been a reliable one.

At least you have definitely ov'd though - maybe its happened twice and you'll have twins (don't worry people, I know thats not how it works...at least I don't think it is )

I did a very stupid thing on Sat. I woke up convinved I was pg. And as I think I started those stupid ovulation sticks too late as I never got a line, I convinced myself I ovulated early and all my twinges, achy boobs, etc, were all signs of early pg. So I POAS 6 days before AF due. Nothing. And guess who made an appearance yesterday...the bitch!!!!!!!! Something about those sticks entices AF to our door, I just know it. So I'm out for August next year, but still fingers crossed for September...
