whyso glad you are feeling slightly chirpier Xmas Grin and here is hoping the CBFM got ov right :) as on CD25 that is an improvement on last 2 periods at 19 and 20 days. Been kidding myself that temp drop on CD21 was implantation dip. I can but live in my little fantasy world but don't actually fancy an august baby 'cos don't want to be preggers in summer, don't want child to be youngest in class which with these dates is highly likely and by same token don't want child to be oldest either - see no pleasing me I should just be grateful if it happens :) ;)

Zara only doing blasted temping and monitor 'cos I am 41 my periods have been nuts since miscarriage last year, and need some evidence that my body is not behaving and please God don't be heading for early menopause aaarrgghhh

Reckon AF must be due as DP is pissing me off just by breathing which is always a sign!!!!

Whysoserious · 19/12/2011 20:59

Haha Lexie your poor DP!

Right I'm being silly now, as always happens during 2ww. I have got the 'bath guilt' - I fancied a nice warm bath, which I had and thoroughly enjoyed but since I got out im panicking that it was too hot and I will have fried and potential blastocyst (I've been reading too much about baby making haven't I!) that may currently be making its way down my tube to its nestling place. Why did I do it? Why??

I need a slap around the face with a cold blob of snow ladies - a bath can't do any harm can it??

Hello all. I'm back from my honeymoon! Thanks for the well wishes, the wedding was fab.

TTC doesn't really feel real at the moment. Like it's just something we've said but don't really believe we could make a baby Blush.

Better get my head around it before it happens!!!

TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 09:31

Hi waiting congratulations on your wedding !! Was there lots of SWI on your honeymoon ??WinkGrin

Oh whyso I have no idea - I felt ok yesterday but this morning I woke up and I felt soooo sick I was ravenous it was like I hadn't eaten in days !! Had to have a biscuit before waking DD or I knew I would be vomiting !!

Haha whyso I have never heard about anything being melted by a hot bath hahaha I think you will be ok !! And yes ... You have been reading waaaaay too much !! (not that I have been Googling every dag or anything ....BlushBlush)

Whysoserious · 20/12/2011 09:37

Morning all! How are we all this morning?

Well I am on 4/5dpo - I'm having very very mild cramps. Not unusual for me at this stage of my cycle I don't think.

Woke up with a funny tummy this morning - nothing to do with the cheesy footballs I ate last night of course Blush

I have also managed to manipulate my chart by telling it to disregard the temps that I took later in the day. It's now telling me I ovulated on day 19 (CBFM said day 18 - ive noticed this pattern with a lot of people that use CBFM and temp...) Anyhoo, im not sure it's very reliable but it's keeping me happy.

Who else is on 2ww? Any symptoms???

OP posts:
TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 09:49

whyso every time I read "cheesy footballs" it makes my stomach turn hahahaGrinGrin oh the thought !!! Haha !!

Well I am 10dpo today. Ordered some eBay cheapies yesterday so hopefully I will have them from Christmas day . I was thinking of getting a clearblue digi just to have incase I get a BFP on a cheapie on Christmas day and I want it confirmed on a digi , but I'm afraid if I am so presumptuous I am setting myself up for a bfn . Overthinking again ... ? X

Whysoserious · 20/12/2011 10:04

Think I cross posted with you MrsC!

Well feeling sick sounds promising! You may as just get the expensive test for Christmas day - if youre anything like me I would be thinking "oh BFP in cheapy - ill double check that on Clearblue' or I'd be 'boo BFN on cheapy - maybe it's wrong - i'll double check that on Clearblue'. Either way the expensive test would get used!

Ooh it's very exciting - I think the nausea sounds very promising for you!

I've got know idea when to expect af and when I should test. At first I thought it was 27th but have since learned that I should count the red flow and not the spotting as the first day of AF do now I think it's more like 30/31st. But I can feel cramping now??! Which would imply that af might be here a bit sooner. I'm so glad that it's nearly the Christmas break because I'm starting to let myself get preoccupied at work thinking about symptoms and counting days / working out dates etc Sad

OP posts:
TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 10:49

Yeah whyso I think if af hasn't arrived by the time time the shops r closing on Xmas eve , I will go get a digi . I know whyso it is so annoying it really is just a guessing game . I wouldn't read too much into the cramping tho that's how I felt over the weekend but she hasnt appeared so far (granted I'm not expecting her before Friday) so you should try put it to the back of your mind . So do you get a few days of spotting before af normally ? I had it for the first time last month so thought it was implantation ... When af arrived 2 days later I was in a right state !! But I think it done me some good becos this month I feel much better and I am fully prepared that af could very well turn up !! Smile

Whysoserious · 20/12/2011 11:00

I've had 3-4 days spotting before AF since I started TTC (4 months ago) - before that all was fine. To be honest I thought AF had just gone light at the beginning but reading into it I realised that it was classed as spotting and not AF yet. After a smear a couple of months ago i was told I had a cervical ectropion (erosion of cervix, usually caused by being on the pill) and that this would be the cause of the spotting and that it's nothing to worry about with regards to TTC.

OP posts:
TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 13:31

Oh that's good it won't affect ttc . So how many days does your actual af last ? Mines always 5 days . I'm sort of going by averages though dates-wise my cycles haven't been exact since getting mirena removed , but not too crazy so I do have a pretty good idea I what my dates are .

TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 13:31

Iyswim ? LolGrin

WaitingForMe · 20/12/2011 14:55

Moderate SWI TheNewMrsC but I got a horrible bug just after the wedding so the first few nights saw lots of me running to the toilet. Not very sexy at all!

I feel a bit clueless about my body after reading this thread. I think I should buy a book or something.

TheNewMrsC · 20/12/2011 15:12

Google waiting ... it will be your new beat friend !! I google constantly now !! If anyone ever hacked my iPhone they would know more details about my body an cycles than my DH !!! Hahah Grin

I didn't know most of this either til ttc , I'm still learning nowSmile

OptiMumPrime · 20/12/2011 15:25

If we'd have paid this much attention to Biology at school, we'd have all gotten A grades! Xmas Smile Mind you, we didn't have the Internet in those days

PsecretPsanta · 20/12/2011 15:53

Not sure what I need to do on this thread. Trying since August. One early mc in October. I think I am ovulating in two days. Period due 6th Jan.

Hello!

Winkly · 20/12/2011 18:24

Hi all, hi PsecretSanta. Waiting - congrats on the wedding! Just an update from me - AF arrived bang on time on 3/12, ov'ing about now but between shift working, Christmas parties, illness, trips to visit far-away family - no chance of anything happening this month :(

AF due on 31/12 (Happy new sodding year), ski holiday planned mid January so hopefully that'll, erm, encourage us!

mrsmellow · 21/12/2011 06:50

Morning all - well I'm out. Had the intensely irritating experience of POAS this am, BFN, then AF came about 3 minutes later... with no pre-amble (and I even had a little check to see if there was any blood up there before peeing, sorry TMI Blush )
To be fair, I'm more relieved to see AF on CD45 so I can start again, I just didn't feel even vaguely pregnant and was nearly sure I wasn't and this way we can have SWI over the festive season and could still have a September baby. Grin Bring on the Wine

sorry - and after me, me, me - welcome back to everyone who's been away and hello to all the new people - please can I stay here for a little while longer!

Squirrel77 · 21/12/2011 08:21

Welcome new passengers and sorry the old witch got you, MrsMellow and Winkly

FINALLY I have ovulated (over a week late) so am now on 3 DPO! Kind of annoying that I won't know in time for Xmas but should be able to test on new year's eve.

Agree with you, MrsC if anyone saw my google search history it would be replete with terms such as "creamy cervical mucus" and "using mooncup to hold sperm" and "alcohol in early pregnancy" Blush

Whysoserious I'm fairly new to charting myself but what about trying fanjo temping for next cycle (more accurate apparently), and recording your cervix position every day? That will give FF more data to work with. Lexie do you record CP and CM? I think the more data FF gets the better. If only anyone could see me digging around in me fanjo in the office toilets every day... Blush

Off to the consultant gynaecologist to get a problem with my uterus checked out tomorrow (they think it has a structural abnormality Confused). I am weirdly excited as it'll be good to know what they'll be doing to fix it and when.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

mrsmellow · 21/12/2011 10:23

Good luck at the gynaecologist squirrel77
Can you tell me what happens with the cervix? Can you delete your search history on google - this is the kind of thing DH would know, but he'd want to know why... Blush

Squirrel77 · 21/12/2011 12:58

You mean cervical position? It is recommended by Fertility Friend and other fertility books etc that you feel your cervix every day. If its high up and you can't reach it or it is difficult to reach, it is a fertile time. It will be low when AF is there. And the rest of the time, somewhere in between! You can also feel how hard/soft it is, but I haven't gone that far. Soft = fertile, hard = not fertile. Hope that helps!

TheNewMrsC · 21/12/2011 13:08

Ok so I tried this squirrel and I have no idea what I am feeling for !! Blush
How do you know why you are actually feeling the cervix and not just another part of that area ? Lol !! Blush

WaitingForMe · 21/12/2011 14:48

Ha ha my Google searches are clearly set to evolve!

Last night I said to DH that I was confused by what I was meant to do about mucus. He suggested I use a tissue Xmas Hmm

TheNewMrsC · 21/12/2011 15:01

Ahahaha waiting GrinGrin

Squirrel77 · 21/12/2011 15:07

It should feel like a mini donut at the top - has a different feel from the rest of the giblets up there. You might have to 'bear down' to feel it! Try lying down if you can't reach it in a sitting or standing position....Xmas Grin

Spuddybean · 21/12/2011 15:52

Hello ladies. Done a first response test today and got bfn. :( been crying a lot today and am now in bed feeling sorry for myself.

Good luck to those who are left :)

See some of you next month for more swi, tmi and hopefully bfp's!!
