I prefer a good alien invasion film me, you can usually reassure yourself that it probably won't happen like that. Deep Impact really put me off wanting to be president of USA- fancy knowing that the earth will end way before anyone else. It'd be really difficult to just carry on with normal things.

Oh Starry, you do make me laff! There is a theory that Morgan Freeman's portrayal of the president in Deep Impact helped Americans get used to the idea that a black man could be president. This is both inspiring and deeply depressing.
