Or we burn the place down!

Faith mine does the lazy weekend thing too.

Right, I think I need a better name for him than Mr euro (even though he is technically more euro than I am these days). Are you feeling creative? Suggestions welcome. Here is something to work with:

Irish
slim/wirey
used to do lots of martial arts (has a couple of black belts but as he never uses them to tie me to the bed I don't take much notice...)
lawyer
loves zombie books/films/computer games
is a bit of a geek (aren't they all?)

Go!

KatAndKit · 17/11/2011 18:49

TIZ?? Thin Irish Zombie? KFL? Kung Fu lawyer? KG - Karate Geek?

KFQC is a good one!

eurochick · 17/11/2011 19:05

I am liking KFL and KFQC. Good ideas!

I iz Lundun bird, bugs.

It's nippy but not absolutely freezing. Mostly dry with the odd bit of mist/drizzle some days.

Regent St tends to be less busy than Oxford St, apart from the bit outside Hamleys. Otherwise maybe Cov Gdn? I tend to go to an out of town Mall if I can't face Oxford St. Oxford St is always worse in the afternoons so if you can get up early you could go there without it being too busy and then move on to Cov Gdn. BTW, even when the pavements are heaving on Oxford St, the shops are often not too bad inside. If you do decide to do it, I recommend the western half (Bond St/Selfridges to Oxford Circus rather than Oxford Circus to Tottenham Court Road) as the shops as MUCH better.

I am cd18. Unlikely to be able to initiate the sechs due to MSB being ill :(

Bugs I'd vote for Covent Garden. Alternatively try some of the cuter shops on Carnaby Street, or there are some lovely quirky shops on Camden Passage which is near Angel tube station.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 17/11/2011 20:16

Is it terrible to say I can't be arsed bugs? If the laydees are sore I think the opportunity has passed and we had agreed to sechsing but not really trying and somehow JIAP sounds like trying.....think I will view it as a ttc holiday. Rather a relief after the trauma of the last cycle.
Ooh yes Covent Garden, good shopping can always venture on to Leicester Square area from there for more commerical shops she says having been twice

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 17/11/2011 21:20

Oh wow I just got accused of being a troll. Now I'm a real MNetter.

AuntieDoris · 17/11/2011 21:41

Hahah that's hilarious that they thought you were a troll!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 17/11/2011 22:03

Did you see the Fred?

AuntieDoris · 17/11/2011 22:08

Yeah. It made me chuckle!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 17/11/2011 22:16

I'm such a wally! Blush

blonderedhead · 17/11/2011 23:34

Euro I got an Irish too! Mine is tall and bald thus TBI.

Northey · 17/11/2011 23:52

Depending on the kind of thing you want to shop for, bugs, and wherr you're travelling in from as well, i suppose, I'd recommend Kensington High Street, the Kings Road and Marylebone High Street as alternatives to the horror of Oxford Street.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 18/11/2011 06:25

Morning all. Had the strangest dream...MSB gave birth yup told you I delivered baby. Had to do mouth to mouth then she woke up. No crying but smiling with full set of teeth. By next day, she had grown and turned into a teenage boy. Seriously, what's going on in my subconscious?!
Hooray it's almost the weekend!

blonderedhead · 18/11/2011 09:04

Faith I have those dreams all the time! So often wake up having gone through conception, pregnancy, birth, toddlerhood and teenage years... It's exhausting.

Just back from the hospital, they done took lots of blood after a lot of prodding me with needles. Not sure if 'your veins are very deep' is a euphemism for 'you're a bit fat'... Trying to persuade myself it was the low blood pressure that made it difficult. Anyway we now wait with baited breath to see if I am actually ovulating or not... Bit scared...

Northey · 18/11/2011 10:16

Good luck, blondie. And you know it's better to know, don't you!

Northey · 18/11/2011 10:23

Am on a train hurtling west for a weekend of sechs and being determinedly optimistic about it, despite being on CD27 of a generally utterly unknowable cycle. It's a sunny day! The autumn leaves are glowy! The ticket inspector just winked at me! Who could possibly fail to get diffed?

eurochick · 18/11/2011 11:52

Faith I nearly weed myself once from pushing out a non-existant baby in my sleep.... [menkle]

I haven't been accused of being a troll but I have had a post deleted early on in my posting days. It was on Conception when some mindless twit came on wibbling about how it was our own fault for leaving it too late and other nonsense. I told her she needed a slap (among other things). Apparently not done here but par for the course on other boards I use (and in fact quite mild!). It wasn't a threat anyway, just an observation, which I stand by.

AuntieDoris · 18/11/2011 12:42

I am really sad now. I have just phoned the specialist group who deal with fertility stuff over here to try and find out how much longer I am going to have to wait for an appointment. They are unable to tell me how long I might have to wait and they are not able to offer me a private appointment either. I am so disappointed :(

MadameBoo · 18/11/2011 12:52

Sounds like she deserved it Euro. You probably only had it deleted it because she reported it anyway - MN is self moderated isn't it?

Can you come to the mainland instead Dor?

AuntieDoris · 18/11/2011 12:57

It would cost an absolute fortune for me to do that :(

Northey · 18/11/2011 13:02

Is there an alternative group/clinic thing you could try, doris? I say that with no background knowledge of where you are, so I'm probably suggesting something très pointless that will make you roll your eyes.
