Mostly people are wearing back sizes which are too big - they need to be pretty tight, so say I measure 28 inches round my chest under my boobs (I am a skinny wench), this is apparently what my band size is. Forget all this adding 4 or 5 inches bollocks. This will correspondingly make your cup size bigger, but not because your boobs are actually bigger. So all my life I have thought I was a 34A or a 32B depending on the style (though I have never bought a bra from anywhere other than M&S to my deep and abiding shame), and apparently this isn't right. Though admittedly I do need to find a tape measure and actually check. MrA has offered to help

I don't go to M&S anymore. We've got a house of fraser here with a brilliant bra fitter (she's one of those ones who just looks at you and doesn't even use a measuring tape). Had a fabulous fitting at Bravissimo in Reading as well. When you have big norks wearing a good bra is beyond essential - otherwise they end up round your waist or hurting your shoulders or summat.

I think I have officially gone mental. Tonight I have worked out that if I don't get up the duff this month then the droid will be due on Christmas Eve. I have one niece and nephew, but then there my brother in law's 2 younger sisters, and his niece and nephew. I have to admit that I am marginally irritated that we have to put up with them all on Christmas Day when they are nothing to do with us. I've done it! I've done the measuring. According to several online size guides, I should either be in a 34AA ( no fucking thank you very much ) or a 30C. That is BEYOND ridiculous. And I know for a fact that even I would be squashed flat in a 34AA bra. FFS. I am going to have to arm myself with a load and try them on.

PS How on earth is this fair when my sister, my only sister, is a 34DD? My YOUNGER sister! And she has a baybee. And a house. Sigh. That's the last moan from me for today. I can't abide moaning
