Or we burn the place down!

Boo the poo on the carpet story is HILARIOUS. I like a bit of yoga. I've never tried to entice Mr euro with a downward dog though. I might have to give that a go....

I am tallish but not as tall as I would like - 5'7. I'd love to be either properly tall or all petite and delicate. I am neither horsey nor ginger.

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 10:42

Imagine being 6 ft, ginger and horsey Shock. Talk about AlphaBesh.

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 10:43

Ah Bugs I don't post on the feminist freds very often but if I had time I'd feel right at home there :o

I do love a bit of Hardy Rie. You do have to be in the mood though - he isn't the cheeriest of writers is he? Haven't read Tess for yonks though because it Breaks My Heart. I think when I read it last I was listening to The Smiths in my bedroom and trying to smoke sneakily out of the window (How the hell did I get away with that? My Mum has a nose like a bloodhound!).

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 10:44

I'm 5 foot by the way and I do believe I'm the shortest BESH.

AuntieDoris · 11/11/2011 10:54

Bloody hell I go to a meeting and everyone posts!

I too am getting a Kindle for Christmas from The Mister and almost everyone else is getting me amazon gift vouchers so I can buy books.

As for horses, I have to admit that I am not too keen I don't mind them to pat and talk to but I am not keen on riding on them. It stems from a nasty experience when I was about 14 and the horse I was on decided to go into a stable with a low door and left me clinging to the lintel. Not fun!

I too have a toy boy. he is 30, I am nearly 36. I am 5'4" and he is 6'4". He claims I am the perfect height to rest his pint on in a pub.

I have been dropping heavy hints about the new kindle too! I bought Mr euro one of the Sony e-readers a couple of years back before kindle became dominant and he loves ebooks. I borrowed it on holiday to see if I liked e-reading and it was fine. I'm reading Vanity Fair at the moment and it is a complete brick to lug about. It's the size of the e-reader that appeals most for me.

AuntieDoris · 11/11/2011 11:44

We uhmed and ahed about the new kindle but have decided to go for the old one with the keyboard because it has 3GS.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/11/2011 11:57

We are buying each other - well getting it together - some kind of pad. Probably not an i, but something androidy.
I am catching up with Frozen Planet. Baybee penguin and seals galore.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/11/2011 13:01

Aw a baybee penguin got eaten. Very sad :(
So the utilities people responded to our meter readings. Electric: hmm you owe us £200. We'll be increasing your DD to £70 a month. Gas: We owe you £200, have it back. We'll be dropping your DD to £30 a month. Go figure.
Ultimately only paying another 20 quid a month and get 200 back.

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 13:35

OMG. Was that Cass? Shock

LauraPalmer · 11/11/2011 14:51

I'm being lame 'cause I've only skimmed this day's posts (lesbian horse lit?) but I am presently freaking out completely...POAS at 10.30ish (2ndMU on a FR) and faint BFP. Have been shaking and crying/close to tears ever since. Lots of droid-esque cramps and at 2.00ish when I peed I found a bit of brown goo (sorry - TMI) so I POAS again about 20 mins ago and again - faint BFP.

I'm sorry that this timing is so off - especially considering the PESH fred conversation, but I'm really scared and feeling insanely vulnerable. I'm terrified. Please someone help me though this. I haven't told TOM, I don't know who else to turn to.

KatAndKit · 11/11/2011 14:57

Laura !!!! Omg! you have had a win! I totally understand why you are bricking it. If it is any comfort to you (it probably won't be) I had some goo too a bit after 5 weeks. Brown is better than red. When is droid due? some crampy feeling is also totally normal too and loads of ESH have had the same and gone on to stay pregnant.

There isn't much you can do but wait it out. If the goo goes away and you still have bfp and no droid in 2-3 days time then I think you can feel reassured for a while.

I have everything crossed for you. And congratulations on your BFP :)

LauraPalmer · 11/11/2011 15:01

Thank you for responding Kit - I'm trying to stay positive but it's incredibly difficult since the only other time I've been diffed it all went horribly wrong. I didn't expect to feel so sad and lonely and freaked out.

OP posts:
LauraPalmer · 11/11/2011 15:05

Oh, sorry, forgot to answer - droid was due today. And as I've been having cramps, etc. for the past 24 hours I just assumed the R2 was on it's way. It still feels like I'm going to start any minute. This is excruciating.

KatAndKit · 11/11/2011 15:08

It is difficult. It took me a long time not to be on permanent mc red alert this time. When I had the spotting I was convinced it was going to be mc number three. I menkulled non-stop until at least the 12 week scan. Slowly, after that point, it got a little bit better. And I even had 2 early scans!
Pregnancy after miscarriage is really really tough emotionally especially the early weeks. Menkulling with the ESH did help keep me sane and so did the Freak Out Room thread also on conception where everyone is in exactly the same boat.

Also I find it is hard to allow yourself to be happy for a while even though you know deep down you are over the moon. You remember the happiness of the first time and how it was cruelly snatched from you and it is a natural self defence mechanism to protect yourself.

Take it one day at a time. If you think it will help book a private scan for 8-9 weeks to break up the wait. If the goo continues see the doctor and demand to be referred to the epu. Pee on lots of sticks if you think it will help you, do whatever makes you feel better.

And do phone him up and tell him, or at least tell him as soon as possible.

CaveMum · 11/11/2011 15:13

A win?????!!!!

Laura a line is a line and all that. Am very Grin for you.
It's totally understandable to be worried and anxious, but all my apendages are crossed for you.

KatAndKit · 11/11/2011 15:18

Is this going to be time for a mega cluster diff session? I hope so!

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 15:26

OMG Laura!!11! Pet, you must be worried, but just because it went wrong once, doesn't mean it will do again. Take it easy.

LauraPalmer · 11/11/2011 15:27

Thank you so much Kat - it's incredibly helpful to hear from someone who knows exactly what I'm going through.

I'm going to go lay down for a bit now and attempt to relax.

OP posts:
eurochick · 11/11/2011 15:27

OMG, a win! I understand your tentativeness but wow!

How long have you been trying?

InTheSunshine · 11/11/2011 15:38

Fecking feck LP what amazing news!! Can understand your stress though so am quietly cheering for you rather than doing the nekkid dance just yet.

I love books. Love them. Our house is full of them and it drives SSG up the wall. I don't know if I would like a kindle thing because I love books so much. Especially old smelly ones. Boo Hardy is one of my favourites, I think you & I led the same teenage / 20's lifestyle Grin

LauraPalmer · 11/11/2011 15:44

Euro we have hit the one year mark almost exactly. Very lucky, I know, because it's not as long as some but I'm about to turn 38 so have been particularly anxious. Especially after MC.

Thank you everyone for your good thoughts. I'm really trying to not be such a freak - I know I should be happy. I'll get there.

Wonderful news Laura - I think it was all the sex vibes I was sending Sheryl Lee you. 361 days it took me. :) I got a loooooad of cramps the day before my BFP, berated myself for buying a stick. Cramps is now downstairs watching Toy Story 3. :)

Anyone want to do some naked dancing with me?
