I KNOW! I've watched Channel 4 Racing.

And the other one is a very clarsy drinking establishment.

AlpinePony · 11/11/2011 09:45

aries - Weatherby's/Weatherspoons - both populated by socially-awkward drunks? Not much in it from what I see.

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 09:46

haha bugger grooo - she is the anti-ESH by the sounds of it! Wink

Btw - cossie and I made a deal that we had to get back in our respective saddles within 10 (?) weeks of giving birth otherwise there's a danger you never do - and we both know of people who gave up for a decade or more. Are you willing to agree to this?

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 09:50

Very mean indeed :(

Morning Copulating Racehorse Shitter on the Floor Boo.

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 09:56

Yes, it's true - I am a one of those shapechanging things in Harry Potter and I can turn into Shadowfax. What are they called?

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 09:57
Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 09:58

An Animagus?

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 10:01

That's it! I knew you would know Rie.

BTW - have you read Fever Crumb?

Have I read Fever Crumb? Is the Pope Catholic?

I have read the two sequels as well. Bloody brilliant. Get on it Boo.

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 10:11

MrBoo brought it home from work for me the other day. I'm working my way through A Dance With Dragons at the mo (it's so heavy it makes my wrists ache), but then I'll get to it. Have you read any of the A Song of Ice and Fire series yet? I know you will luff them if you don't already.

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 10:12

No you're not. Neigh.

I haven't read the above, no. Link pliz.

Here Rie. I know that our mutual ex-headbanging friend was reading the first one recently and loving it.

Chick-Lit as a term annoys the hell out of me. Women writers - yes, fab great essential. Forcing women writers into a genre and accepting pink cover art etc etc makes my feminist hackles RISE.

MadameBoo · 11/11/2011 10:36

And Chick Flick makes me cross as well. Like men and women aren't allowed to anjoy the same things. And like men aren't allowed to appreciate a 'woman's' film because it will make them look less manly.

MrBoo might be a playstation bore but at least he'll go and watch Pride and Prejudice with me and LOVE it to boot.

I have been nagging her encouraging her to read the rest of them. But you know....she has many things to read on a daily basis, all of them quite a lot cleverer and more important. I was nearly in tears of shame the other night when I admitted I had never read Tess :( I find Hardy, kind of well... hard. And Dickens.

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 10:39

(Sorry Boo, I missed the link there. You must have wondered what I was on abaht.)
