bugger He's 26 now! Grin Unfortunately that BFP fell out. :( But the two since have hung around. Oooh another horsey ESH?

cavemum I had an interview with the Jockey Club back in 90 for office work - I don't think I was purdy enough! Wink

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 08:32

"SHIT ON THE FLOOR"! HARHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!1!1!11111!

Oh Boo! It's only 8.29 but that has made my morning. Thank you.

I am non-hossy. Last time I rode was on a naughty pony in the Brecon Beacons in 2002. I couldn't believe the pain down the inside of my legs for about a week afterward, and I'm no delicate flower who rarely ventures outdoors. Different muscles I guess.

I am about 5 ft 7. MrA is about 5 ft 8. He's a bit of a shortarse but perfectly formed. Alps and MsFC would do him in a second.

What has struck me most about that first thread was the liberal use of the words "ladies", "AF" and even "babydust". I'm glad things moved on quickly. It was all so polite!

aries I think it was cunexttuesday who lowered the tone. She's from "up north" you see. [catsbummouth]

bugger When I look back at my conception woes - it seems likely to me that I had a handful of chemical pregnancies - my body wasn't very good at hanging on to them. I started taking an aspirin a day in the 2WW.

ries I'm just so envious of your welsh riding. :( And yes, am happy to shag your husband if it helps you out. Those photos from last night? wtf? propellor or jaws? I watched* jaws last night for the first time in about 15 years - bloody brilliant isn't it?

*Watched telly = fell asleep by 8:20 with jailbait saying "go to bed you're snoring" - I'M NOT SLEEPY!

KatAndKit · 11/11/2011 08:49

there was baybeedust on a BESH thread???!! Oh how times have changed!

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/11/2011 09:01

Baybeedust?! Shock Delighted that we have gradually lowered the tone.
Fwiw MSB is 27 whippersnapper and 5'8".

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 09:02

And when was the PESH thread set up, Ski? Was this because it was recognised quite early on that regularly talking a pregnancy on a barrens' thread made the rest of them feel even more barren and inadequate? Plenty of other places for all that sort of nonsense :) Was it when a lot of you diffed at the same time?

Boo your downward dog move is immense. I read it on my phone this morning and have felt the need to log on at work so that I can comment. You are amazing and I luff you. (considering replicating the move this evening, the yoga pose, not shitting on the floor)

Bugs I am 6 foot tall. Eric is way taller than me. I'd fight you for him and I'd win because I am hard as nails. SSG however is the same size as me, except when I wear heels & then I tower over him which he hates.

I'm not horsey. I tried it when I was younger but I kept falling off.

We did The Sechs last night Grin

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 09:26

It's not a hint to feck off AT ALL. It's not for me to tell someone to go away. There are plenty of differs around here and we know and like them all. I was trying I guess to say that I think the PESH board was set up to talk of differdom and all its associated stuff, and the BESH board remains for chat about still trying, rather than having got there already, if you see what I'm saying. Sorry: I can't think of a way to say it without sounding arsey. Anyone's welcome to post anywhere, I guess as long as the stuff they post doesn't make others feel sad and uncomfortable. Do you see what I mean? And again, I'm not telling anyone to feck off.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/11/2011 09:30

Yeah, bog off bugs joke
I'm not horsey, I had a couple of lessons but they sensed my fear and played me up something chronic. Good job long term cos MSB was kicked by a horse as a kid and hates them now.

Aries Yes, kind of. We had a mass diffment, 4 days in a row someone got a BFP and there appeared to be an element of disappointment amongst some of those who left, so it was felt that it would be more tactful to de-camp. Of course we knew that there were to be many, many more who would join us and it was really nice to have the PESH thread set up with ESH-attitude rather than the antenatal threads which make you want to carry cakes just for the SHEER BLOODY-MINDED hell of it! Wink Because sometimes you need another ESH to say "GAFG it's a slice of naice ham not a petri dish filled with e-coli you mad bint".

CaveMum · 11/11/2011 09:31

I've not ridden for just over 2 years Sad I just don't have the time at the mo Sad Sad
I came very close to rehoming an ex-racer 2 years ago, but we didn't gel (he was a mega strong git!). I'm resigned to the fact that, much as I adore them, an ex-racer is not for me as I'm just not strong enough to hold them together.

I don't work for Weatherbys or JC, but my company do very similar work. I can't name names as it will out me instantly as my name is plastered all over our website Grin.

I live in a certain east Anglian town that is very well known for its horse population (about 2,500 of the critters) so never a day goes by when I don't see a horse/dodge some poo!

Ariesgirl · 11/11/2011 09:33

When you write Weatherby's I keep thinking you mean Wetherspoon's. Not really the same is it?

InTheSunshine · 11/11/2011 09:34

It's just about being considerate for other people's situations, which works both ways.

I don't want to do any work today. I want to hang out with BESH & drink gin. Yes, gin at 9.23. What of it?

Medicinal Gin here please! I can't drink in the day in RL I have a tendency to puke. Not pretty.

HaveALittleFaithBaby · 11/11/2011 09:41

Good on you bugs. Does this friend know you are diffed? Or will it just be about her?

CaveMum · 11/11/2011 09:42

Not really the same! They both begin with a W I spose.
Weatherbys are the horse racing administrators. They compile all the statistics, entries, results; register owners and horses in training; but most importantly are responsible for the stud book which holds the pedigrees of every Thoroughbred born on these shores. As all TBs around the world trace back to this country, it's a fairly hefty tome that goes back to the 1700s. Their computer system is so large and complex that they bankrupted 3 different software firms trying to build something that could handle the data!!!

[stops being quite such a nerd]

AlpinePony · 11/11/2011 09:44

haha so it's "people like you" who are personally responsible for the angst of townies who move there and need to negotiate their 1000 quid prams past piles of it. They didn't get that in Putney you know. :(
