TTC/ pregnancy on Prednisolone or similar part 2

Starting up part 2 of this thread since the old one closed at 1000 posts!

iggi lots of luck for today, hope it's nothing - I know it doesn't help but I know lots of women have spotting and/or bleeding in pregnancy and it still goes ok. Definitely call the EPU, get scanned - it's worth it, honestly, at least you will know one way or another. Virtual hugs coming your way.

free I also started AF properly this morning, so looks like we may be both importuning a friendly witch for a good fertility spell on Hallowe'en? I know exactly what you mean about the scary stuff ... a small part of me was actually sort of relieved when I didn't get a BFP purely because it means I don't have to go through the whole worrying about miscarrying all over again. Bizarre, but there it is.

Hi all, can I join your thread please - appreciate it's a bit out of date but couldn't find a more recent one (very new to mumsnet).
I had 4 early miscarriages in 18 months (between 5-7 weeks), and have been referred to Dr Shehata through NHS. Have been diagnosed with high NKC (total number and % are over the normal, NCK69 are within normal range through) and have been put in 25mg Prod / baby aspirin/ vit D3 and the usual Pregnacare which I have been taking anyway. Have been on the steroids for 5 days now and apart from agitated sleep I haven't had any other symptoms, especially the hunger some people mention - I seem to have the opposite, where I feel full all the time! Just wanted to hear some success stories I guess, as this NKC therapy appears to be quite controversial? Thanks in advance and wishing everybody good luck with TTC.
Adriana x

Hi ladies!

I’ve had four miscarriages in the last 18 months. With the last one I was on hydroxychloroquin, aspirin and cyclogest under the RMC at Epsom / St Helier. They had mentioned putting me on prednisalone but were against it due to covid and it suppressing my immune system which I was upset at as I was willing to try anything at that stage. I finally now am allowed to try the prednisalone but am worried about the side effects. Please can anyone give me hope that this does work and did it work after first time use or did it take a few attempts…

Hi @Obrienlk there's a few of us on another thread who are on immune protocols dor recurrent losses. My protocol include prednisolone. I had a recent loss unrelated to my immunes but there are a few women on there who are pregnant after multiple losses. I'll put the link in the next post, cine and join us x
