Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Have you used an OPK yet? DH is wanting to just roll with it and not use that sort of thing yet. I am happy with that but warned him there would be lots of swi to compensate!!! He didn't mind Wink

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 22:35

No not yet. My DH thinks the same, and I'm happy to roll with it too. At least for a few more months. If still no joy then I'll probably start using them tbh

Clandy · 02/11/2011 07:41

Yay Clandy!! Our first graduate! How exciting! I'm done with SS, none at all so just waiting for AF to come next week and probably will get a basal thermometer for next month.

Tequila how are you not running to get more pg tests?! Let us know the moment you POAS please Grin

Vino how are you my lovely?

3isamagicnumber · 02/11/2011 14:22

Hiya!

Well Im new to this so please bear with me....

We're ttc though - was on the pill for around 12 years but came off it back in May when I got married and now we REALLY want a baby!!

Been trying since then with mixed results so far - month 1 nothing; month 2 positive pregnancy test but had a very early miscarriage (wouldnt have even known if I hadnt have got the Clearblue kit so soon! Was prob only about 3 weeks gone if that...); month 3 showed some symptoms like tiredness and peeig more but this only lasted about a week so I think we conceived but again it didnt turn into anything (mustnt have implanted etc.)
Now in month 4 - period would be due end of next week so we're actively trying and will see what happens!! Fingers & toes crossed!!

I know we've only been trying 4 months but I can feel the obsession and it taking over - hard to think of anything else!!
Wish us luck!! :-)

Vinolover · 02/11/2011 15:30

Massive congratulations again Clandy :) It's so nice to read that!

Welcome 3. It's such a rollercoaster, TTC, isn't it! Im so sorry to hear about your MC. It's an offer thing to happen :( We're only on our first month of TTC #3 and Im more obsessed now then I ever was! Good luck to you.

Im good thank you Fish. Have just finished work and looking forward to a day off tomorrow :)

Guess who is the new owner of 60 Ovulation sticks!?!?! :) They should hopefully last a while!!

Hope everyone has had a good day!

Tequilamockinbat · 02/11/2011 16:13

Fish, firstly I can't really afford to POAS every day (as much as I'm dying to!), and secondly I'm hoping if I just do it every few days, I'll hopefully get a firmer positive. Does that even make sense? I know what I mean anyway lol

Welcome 3, and good luck Smile

Vino, 60? Wow! That'll keep you busy Grin

Vinolover · 02/11/2011 16:44

Offer??? meant awful.

Fishpond · 02/11/2011 16:48

Sorry tequila meant no offense.

Vinolover · 02/11/2011 16:49

It certainly will :) It says NOT to use FMU. All this month I made sure it was FMU and thought I was doing the right thing. It also says to make sure it's at room temp, ideally left for 20 mins. Not sure this will work seeing as I start work at 7.30 on a sat morning and the earliest I finish is 3 or 4, sometimes it's 8.30 at night! How on earth will I work that one. They advise doing it between 10am and 8pm... No wonder I never bothered before. It seems a bit technical Confused.

I will do it thought, because I am obsessed!! Wink

wannabemum24 · 02/11/2011 18:19

What is FMU? And what is SS? P.s. Hello everyone :)

Fishpond · 02/11/2011 18:19

wanna where have you been all my life?! Smile

FMU = First morning urine

SS = Symptom spotting

Vinolover · 02/11/2011 18:28

My God what is going on with my typos???? Think i'll give up using the ipad!!!

Oooh, thanks Fish. I wasn't too sure what SS meant.
