Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 01/11/2011 12:56

Well my only pg "symptom" is a bump, but given the timing, I'm fairly sure it's cake SadSmile

Could be implantation bleeding!

Sarah5656 · 01/11/2011 14:27

Sparkle coming from a serial tester I would so do a test!
First response say it can detect up to 6 days before Smile

No AF yet, feeling yucky though so think she is on her way Sad
Double the amount of SWI after, which DH will be very pleased about Wink

Tequila first response is supposed to be the most sensitive and Boots have all pregnancy test's buy one get one half price. God it's so temping to buy more, repeat to self, must not test, must not test.

I KEEP TRYING TO WRITE A POST - 3 TIMES NOW AND MN WON'T LET ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAY FROM HELL, I swear I feel like just chucking this whole TTC thing in.

Happy birthday, Cauldron I did want to say that.

Just not a good day at all, no symptoms, freaking gas pains / cramps all week long which I keep hoping are symptoms but I know they're not, what is the point of taking these prenatal vits as there's no baby anyway and all they do is keep making me try to SS and then getting disappointed when it's gas again. Stupid supervisor at work is mad at me for something HE did wrong, he has tried to call me twice on my day off FFS to tell me off about it.

Hating this day. Sad Sad

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 15:59

Thanks Sarah, first response it is then! Fingers crossed the witch stays away for you.

Very un-MN to you Fish. Don't give up, it is hard and may get even harder but we're in this together and we'll come out the other side together. Hopefully in a few months from now we'll all be laughing and joking together on the ante-natal thread Wink

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 16:38

Ah Fish :( TTC can be a very trying journey and outside factors can really get on top of you! Chin up, it will be so worth it when you meet your little baby. The reason im not taking prenatal vits is for that very reason. They make me bloat out so badly and the wind is awful Blush. I seem to be getting on fine with the b vit complex and zinc though.

I read somewhere that pre-seed can actually infact kill some sperm. Think I'll give it a miss next month and buy some conceive plus. Apparently this is 100% sperm friendly. Don't want to be harming any of the little soldiers Wink.

That's a really good sign secret! How exciting :)

Fishpond · 01/11/2011 16:44

Really Vino? Great. Sad

That's what I thought too :( I do however know somebody who fell pregnant the month they used it so there is hope :) She's the reason I got it.

Sorry for your BFN secret :(

Fishpond · 01/11/2011 19:59

I am in the bookstore and looking at a brilliant book that just came out sour pregnancy. It was released a month ago so has the up to the moment info I should expect. Blush at reading pg books on my day off btw.

Anywho...I have seen more sperm info - 200-300 mill enter the fanjo at release, only 60-80 million will get into the cervix, then just a mere 100,000 get into the empty uterus, and ... Wait for it ... Only 2-300 will enter each Fallopian tube!!! I'm now amazed at the 16 yr olds who fall pregnant by accident.

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 20:08

Im amazed at anyone who can fall pregnant at the click of a finger!! It really is just down to luck and waiting until it's your turn.
Right, must make a conscious effort to seduce DH a hell of a lot more next month! Out comes the ann summers catalogue Wink

wannabemum24 · 01/11/2011 21:19

My withdrawal is easing off Grin Someone high five me!!!! X

cherrypiew3 · 01/11/2011 21:28

Thanks Cherry, me too Smile How are you?

wannabemum24 · 01/11/2011 21:32

I just read back, sorry about the BFN Sexret Sad

wannabemum24 · 01/11/2011 21:33

Woah! I got sex on my mind!!! Sorry, Secret Blush

cherrypiew3 · 01/11/2011 21:41

Wannabe Today has been a much better day Smile

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 21:41

Speaking of people who fall pregnant with the click of a finger, it baffles me too.

With DD I fell pregnant whilst on the pill. Took it religiously every night, had no D&V or anything. I was just the unlucky 0.01% Blush

And now? Now, it seems I can't get pg for toffee! What's that all about?

wannabemum24 · 01/11/2011 21:57

How long have you been trying Tequla?

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 21:58

I came off the pill in January so about 10 months Sad

wannabemum24 · 01/11/2011 22:03

Oh right, I assumed you were as new to this as us!! That must be hard x

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 22:16

Nah I'm a bit of a professional POAS'er now Grin

Although AF has never been this late.

I haven't done the OPK or anything, was just rolling with it and letting nature have it's way I suppose.

It's getting hard now though, especially as it all happened so easily first time round! Although 16 years on the pill may take a few months to get out of my system? I dunno, we'll see what happens I guess

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 22:18

Although I've never been on a 'bus' before, so I am new in that respect Wink
