Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Can someone chuck a Jilly Cooper my way? TYIA

Should we start a new thread or are we ok to carry on with this one?

YorkshireTeaAddict · 14/11/2011 22:06

I can see what he means, wanting you to feel better etc, but sometimes men need to realise that they need to approach us women a bit kinder around AF...blimmin men!

kirrinIsland · 14/11/2011 22:27

cup so sorry about your grandma :( thinking of you xx

secret I think I get what your DH meant? That once you've got a bfn you can put thoughts of pregnancy out of your head til next month? Great sentiments, but it doesn't really work like that does it - not once you've set your heart on it. I hope the doctor can sort things out sharpish.

Yorkshire never too early to ss! Just try to not get tooooo carried away!

YorkshireTeaAddict · 15/11/2011 11:17

Moooooorning!!!

I am so not on the computer posting when I should be working at work Blush

How are you all today? I am obessing thinking about if I am pregnant or not WAY too much! Yeesh. I have decided to POAS the morning that AF is due. There is no way I can wait to see if she is late. I hear first response is best?? Do you think that's an ok thing to do?

Vinolover · 15/11/2011 12:20

I would definitely do it the day she's due Yorkshire. (when is that?) Your symptoms sound really promising :) I have never used FR when i've been pregnant (always CB) so I can't say from personal experience. I do however have one in my cupboard waiting for me :)

MinkyMoodles · 15/11/2011 12:24

Tut tut Yorkshire!!

Well, if you can wait, then do it on first missed day if AF doesn't show.

I've not been able to wait and PO2S's First Responce, what a waste. Luckily if found a double pack on tiniternet for £6.99!

Now I'm trying to wait and see if she turns up tomorrow or thurs. If not then the Clearblue come out!

MMxx

YorkshireTeaAddict · 15/11/2011 12:33

Ok thanks :) AF is due on 24th Vino, ages yet!! I fell asleep on the living room rug on Sunday afternoon with a mug of tea in my hand!! DH thought it was hillarious!

Fishpond · 15/11/2011 13:07

Cup so sorry about your grandma. Were you very close? Hope you can at least somewhat enjoy your time in the UK.

Yorkshire, I used FR and got positives on 9 and 10 dpo (day 10 confirmed with clearblue). I took another 2 days before AF was due and line was very dark. So if you take a FR on day you are due should be quite definitive. Unless you are a late implanter, although your symptoms sound good!

My grandma had her surgery, didn't go very well. Took 4 hours, they took out more than expected, and she will have a permanent bag outside of her stomach to eliminate her waste from now on. Sad she had this once before, a temporary one when she went through chemo, and hated it. She is such a wonderfully strong woman, but she felt so ashamed and embarrassed and dependent on others. She will be so upset by this I know. Going to visit her later this afternoon. She will start chemo again the week after Christmas, hopefully things go ok but no one is very hopeful.

Sigh.

Got the next 2 days off work, cleaning and laundry today and doctor appt tomorrow, I'm very nervous as yesterday and today haven't felt pregnant at all. So scared they're going to say it's all just a dream. Sorry to be a downer! Weather here is rubbish and always seems to mess with my mood! How's everyone else?

Vinolover · 15/11/2011 13:19

Please don't worry Fish. When I was pregnant with DS I had no symptoms at all! I was certain I would go for a scan and there wouldn't be anything there. Of course there was and I had a wonderful pregnancy :) Im sure everything is all fine. You are bound to be worrying more with all that you have going on. Take time to relax (easier said than done) and try not to panic.

CupOfBrownJoy · 15/11/2011 13:59

Thanks for the condolences everyone. We weren't close, tbh so I'm more sort of empty feeling that anything else, which is sad in itself really. She wasn't an easy person to get along with...

Well, I've been opk'ing now since yesterday, but more out of interest to try and locate when the hell ov might be.

I feel a bit out of all the SSing tbh - I just still feel very distracted by the wedding stuff. I'm still feeling like we're going to have an awful lot our our plate next summer, getting married AND moving house in July/August now! I know the sensible thing to do would be to put ttc on hold for a few months, but at 34 I just don't feel like I have time!!

YorkshireTeaAddict · 15/11/2011 15:17

Cup, that must be quite frustrating :(

I know it sounds odd and I shouldn't get ahead of myself, but I feel different. I really do but I am trying not to get my hopes up...

It may just be because I have been eating too much and not enough of the right stuff!!

Fishpond · 15/11/2011 15:46

Yorkshire how many days past ovulation (roughly!) are you?

I didnt feel different until 5-6 dpo but on day 3 I had already started peeing more (tmi!)

Hope this is it for you!

Just saw grandma and it's awful, never seen her in so much pain Sad I've already left as wasn't much I could do, just running some errands to help rest of the family.

Fishpond · 15/11/2011 21:05

Well mates, I took the audacity liberty of making a new thread.

here I could not quite decide on a thread title so it's a bit of a mash-up Grin but hopefully appropriate. If I got anyone's details wrong I'm terribly sorry just scream at me and/or fix it appropriately!!

CupOfBrownJoy · 15/11/2011 21:11

fab fish, thanks x

swi tonight!!!

kirrinIsland · 15/11/2011 22:54

Hi all, I've just finished work and am now enjoying a lovely glass of non-alcoholic wine Grin

fish sounds like you've got a lot going on - try not too worry too much, I think most people don't really have symptoms this early on.

Yorkshire I used first response and got that faint positive 3 days before af was due.
