Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Vino yes I did buy some and use it on the last day - I figured if I was doing everything else then why not?! Grin

Vinolover · 30/10/2011 17:17

Cervical Mucus.

Fishkiss · 30/10/2011 17:18

X-post cauldron - 11 pumpkins!!! Respect. What did you do with the goop?!

CM = cervical mucus Grin aka stuff you get in your pants

It's meant to go all clear and stretchy like egg white the day or two before ovulation - hence EWCM. I never have that though. I could describe mine in detail but I doing you would all be interested Wink

Fishkiss · 30/10/2011 17:19

*doubt you would be interested. Bloody iPhone.

Vinolover · 30/10/2011 17:20

How did you find it fish? I felt like I was sopping down there lol. DH thought I was very excited indeed Wink. I came clean though!

11 Pumpkins Cauldron???? Well done you!! I only did two. The smell made me want to vom and trying to get my knife in, argh! All done for another year :) Fred and Libby (Kids choice) are lit up looking out at the world :)

MinkyMoodles · 30/10/2011 17:29

Evening peeps!
Eventually had time to catch up on today's posts.
Out laws dealt with then SIL decides she wants to pop round, grrr.
Anyhow, I'm done now, chicken roasting and chill time!
Caldron think I can totally relate to your morning post. I've never had contact with babies or kids until best mate stayed this summer with her 7 & 5 yr olds, was dreading it, we both were, but we absolutely loved it, so much fun. The baby stage worries me the most :0(
Re weddings/marriage, we talked about effing off to Vegas and doing something naff, just us two, or a small job abroad, who knows, he'll have to ask first!!
Think I'm scared cos it's the unknown, I can deal with dogs, cats etc but kids? Yikes!!
Hope everyone's had a fab Sunday.
MM xx

Fishkiss · 30/10/2011 17:34

See you guys - I LOVE babies - I was a nanny and then a maternity nurse for several years. It's the pre school and school ages that scare me Grin how about I look after your babies and then I'll ship mine over to you when it starts to get stroppy Grin

Vino I agree it was extremely slippery! I used it, then did AI, then immediately went to sleep so I woke up a couple of times in the night confused and thinking I'd wet myself haha! I still had some coming out the next day Blush

I just hope it was helpful in keeping the environment swimmer friendly for longer.

wannabemum24 · 30/10/2011 18:15

I'm baaaaaack!!! Been a long but nice day. Just poo that I have work tomorrow :( Poo poo bum head. I will prob be popping on all day tomorrow...shhhhh. My withdrawal bleed is easing off now which is nice.

Does anyone else find that when they come off the pill you get really horny?! It used to do my head in before TTC, because there was nothing I could do about it as DH doesn't like doinking when AF is there!!

Vinolover · 30/10/2011 18:24

OMG yes! When I was having my withdrawal bleed from the coil I was going mad!! DH had wondered what had happened to his wife lol. The coil completely zapped any longing for sex. I exhausted him before the crucial time Wink.
I also find I get really horny when im ripe Wink.

Doesn't work get in the way of everything :( I feel your pain!
How's your hangover?

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 30/10/2011 18:35

mmm chinese takeaway for dinner....

flat is clean, got some work done, washing all done, pumpkins done, homemade mustard done and jarred, car is picked up, dog is walked... I'm about ready for bed!!!

I'm really looking forward to work tomorrow - no lessons, just halloween fun all day!! Smile

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 30/10/2011 18:43

sorry, forgot to answer that I chucked the pumpkin flesh because they were those small ones so it wasn't really worth it (been found out now for not being as hard grafting as you all thought!). Plus I've already got tons in the freezer which I havn't got round to turning into pies yet... Blush

and thanks for the CM answers!

wannabemum24 · 30/10/2011 18:50

I hate work! But at least I have a job I guess :)

Hangover vanished about 11am so I am tip top once more!

kirrinIsland · 30/10/2011 18:53

Hey guys, hope you've all had a good day.

I was adamant I didn't want kids, but then it just crept up on me. I've found the baby stage to be fine - fun even! so much so I'm ready to do it again Smile

Still waiting for a positive on my opks - have a feeling I might have missed it :( I'll keep trying for now but I may give in to temptation and go back to the clear blue digital fertility monitor.

Fishkiss · 30/10/2011 19:10

kirrin What CD are you on?

My grandmother's just trimmed my mop - I shaved it all (yes completely gone!) last January when she was going through chemo a second time. She hated having no hair it made her so Sad, so her Christmas present was for me to do the same. I've left it alone since then, WILLING it to grow super fast - before I shaved it, I had it past my bum!

But I haven't trimmed it or anything so it was starting to look a bit like the third bloke here.

I'm Justin Bieber for Halloween so had her make it so now it looks like this. It's pretty uncanny actually - I already look like him in the face - I'm a clone [hgrin]. I can't wait to see the [shocked] faces at work tomorrow, they didn't know I was cutting my hair. I wish there was some kind of costume competition I could enter [hgrin]

wannabemum24 · 30/10/2011 19:14

Erm...photo of hair on FB please Fish...

Fishkiss · 30/10/2011 19:15

Ok - just don't say anything about it on my status as no one else knows my costum yet

wannabemum24 · 30/10/2011 19:20

Cross my heart :)

kirrinIsland · 30/10/2011 19:25

fish I'm on CD 18 so I know it could still happen yet, but I'm getting impatient :) this is my first cycle since having DD so things could take a while to settle down I guess?
Have fun at work tomorrow - let us know the reactions you get to the new haircut

Tequilamockinbat · 31/10/2011 07:39

Wow this thread moves too fast!

Morning ladies, and welcome cheeser, I'm back at work today after a few days off , boooo!

Still no sign of AF here, so staying positive, will test again either tomorrow or Wednesday all being well. Heartburn woke me up this morning and I was desperate for the loo. I'm thinking this is a good sign but trying not to get my hopes up after the BFN yesterday.

Sarah, any news from you? Any symptoms yet? (sorry if I've missed it, can't keep up with thread!)

Cheeser · 31/10/2011 07:55

Morning one and all!

Still have very sore and sensitive nips... haven't had this before, don't usually get this before AF. But being on the POP meant that I haven't had a period for four months so maybe I'm just building up to a mother of one Sad

Although on Saturday I had a few wipes' worth of pink tinged sort-of discharge which could be a good sign? That was 4 days after SWI.

Funny how everything looks like a symptom now! Confused

Hope everyone has a good day!

kirrinIsland · 31/10/2011 12:45

Morning all - or should that Afternoon? Where does the time go?!

Well, today I got a positive on my opk. I'm ridiculously excited :) I'd all but given up on it this month.

tequila got my fingers and toes crossed for you.

CauldronOfBrownJoy · 31/10/2011 12:48

ooh Kirrin that's so exciting!! Good luck!!

tequila, I'm on the edge of my seat for you...... Smile

Fishkiss · 31/10/2011 14:22

Yay kirrin! See! I got mine on CD19 too, I was super excited! We are almost the same on our 2ww then, I'm just a couple days ahead of you Smile

Well I'm 8 hours into my 11.5 hour shift and exhausted! Just now got a break! Munching on a muffin and some chocolate milk. I'm having weird heart pains every once in awhile, hoping it's just from working too hard. Can't wait to go home and sleep. Have been so full on I haven't even thought about pg symptoms, then when I realized I was sad I haven't had any Sad

It's only 2 dpo though so I think any egg would still be just floating around?

cherrypiew3 · 31/10/2011 18:09

Evening Everyone

Having a really stressful day here today on top of TTC we are also trying to sell are house and today it really has all got on top of me and I just want to sit and cry.
OK moan over.

Kirrin Good news on the positive opk [hsmile]

Fish 8 hrs in not to long to go now

wannabemum24 · 31/10/2011 19:47

Don't cry Cherry :(

Saying that, I am feeling a bit flat about TTC...we are right at the beginning of it and I am still on my withdrawal bleed and I just want it to be over so I can crack on :( :(
