Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Oh cauldron as you don't know your cycle length it's suggested you start testing on CD 10.

I've only been off the pill for about 3 ish weeks, but it was the mini pill which I understand to be slightly different to coming off the combination pill?

I'm trying to keep myself busy today to stop myself from wanting to POAS. Still no sign of AF

I'll be POAS'ing tomorrow morning though, if shes still a no-show!

Found this a really interesting thread. I'm so wet behind the ears with all the TTC stuff. Some I'm learning as I go.
I guess we'll be SWI all this week, which OH seems overly happy about! And no doubt I'll be in trouble if I don't use the OPKs like last night, oops! Never thought OH would be so keen!

ok so I can't resist it - I've just got back to my flat after a week with DP and the first thing I've done is crack open my new opk's to have a proper look. As soon as I go to the loo I'm going to test (just to practice!). Completely mad as I'm on CD 20!

Vino what's in 3 weeks? cauldron I felt like an OPK failure until yesterday morning! About to POAS again to make sure it's gone so I can officially count today as O-day. I've never pinpointed it before so this is a first for me.

On a side note - I've had to do lots of lifting at work today, would that harm potential zygote??

Ooooh good luck fish... I hope lifting doesn't harm anything as I have to do quite a bit of lifting and moving furniture around too. Im pretty sure it doesnt, just take it as easy as you can.

3 Weeks and I should be O'ing again :) Have got DH some wellman vits that came today so he can start them tomorrow. I have had awful cramping again today so I think AF may make an early appearance. Hey ho.

Ah I see - don't count yourself out yet - could be implantation cramps?!

My OPK was negative so definitely ovulated this morning. Didn't feel any sharp twinges though apart from 2 days ago? now just sort of a dull, full feeling in abdomen.

Does anyone want to share any fantasy names they've been thinking of? I have my girl name all set but need inspiration for boys!

Re names, I will definitely need inspiration. I keep winding DH up though that I like names such as Walter and Barbera

It's not just me who is thinking of names then
For a boy I love Levi (DH is thinking about it). For a girl I love Eliza Mae, or Lola or Maisie. I find girls names MUCH easier than boys!

DH is really sure it hasn't happened this month so I suppose it's rubbing off on me. It's only cycle 1 so it's early days.

Don't you worry about talking about O'ing :). Who else can you talk to? We're all in this together! X

Vino I really like all of those!! We seem to have the same tastes. My grandmother's dad's middle name was Isaiah - I really love it but it's number 45 in popularity and I've always said I'll use a name outside the Top 100 (there's my weirdness kicking in again)...I think it comes from being one of a million of my name everywhere I go.

My sister has a Macey though so I couldn't use that one.

I have 2 girls names that I go between constantly, and I agree girls are much easier than boys! Helps that both of my girl choices are not even in the Top 1,000 on the popularity list [hwink]

Isaiah is a gorgeous name! Wow, may have to have a chat about that one... Im trying to think of names that go with the names of my DC. Gets difficult when you have two already.

Oh my goodness vino it's so much harder when you have one already!! I love Adam for a boy and DD is Evie... also names ending in ie are questionable as some sound silly!!

Anyway, dd rubbed my belly today.... Maybe she is like one of those dogs that can sniff it.... and I am infact pg not just having a 60 + day cycle!!! (continues dreaming)

I could name a girl 100 times over but really struggle with boys names - I like Simon and Duncan but DP doesn't so no luck there. My favourite ever is Rory but it just doesn't work with DP's surname. for girls, I like Erica and Simone.

fishkiss as the proud owner of 2 lines I'm going to consider you the OPK queen - did you test several times a day? and did you restrict how much you drank before you did the test? and, did you get ewcm before you got a positive or before? and why haven't I had a positive yet?! I'm sure i should have ov'd by now.
