Crash out obv. Not crash and injure myself.

Blasted phone. Wish I had my old Nokia 3550 back .

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 14:47

16 weeks Biscuits?!! Aw, no wonder you look so gawjus Grin.

possiblemaybebaby · 11/10/2011 14:48

Of course!! I had forgotten to mention it (dodgy-ovary brain) Grin

Twins Dream this is the best news Grin

So pleased you are doing well Biscuits the time is flying by (well, I am sure it isn't for you!)

Scrambled hello!! 20 miles eh, hardcore! I know what you mean about the knackered part though. I have also used the same line on my DH, often to the same effect as you Grin

Solars · 11/10/2011 14:50

Maybe how lovely to see you back again, I knew you wouldn't be away for too long Wink will be brooking that all goes well with the test results. I think it was Baby who was wanting the Kitchenaid mixer, I have the blender but have my on the mixer too!

Good luck with the SWI Scrambled isn't it awful when you have to try and conjure up some romance...

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 14:51

Scrambled - Farfalla's DH pased out having blood taken (they were thinking about 18 pints by the sounds of it) but Far* was able to save the day with a satsuma.

I'm sure she can explain it better.

Maybe I've just looked on the Boots website and couldn't find the thermometer that I have. Don't know if they still sell it. I wonder if one of the proper temp-ers could say if there is a specific sort you're supposed to have? Mine was digital to 2dp but then I've read that there is some 'special' sort you're supposed to use?

Subsequently we had a duofertility monitor but I wouldn't recommend that as being value for money. If you use your own thermometer and use Fertility Friend I think you get almost as much info.

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 14:52

Interesting use of 's there Biscuits*....

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 14:53

Oh yes Scrambled - i love your seduction techniques Wink

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 14:54

And I too would love a kitchen full of kitchenaid stuff but already have a food processor and a multi mixer/blender thing so not sure I can really justify any more kitchen gadgets of that scale until I break one of the ones I have Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 14:55

Romance? Whassat then?! Grin

Yep, I am a cycling loony. It is not my choice though. I just can't rely on public transport or roads, and have to puck up DD from nursery on time. So cycling it is [sigh].

possiblemaybebaby · 11/10/2011 14:57

Thanks Biscuits You are a fountain of all knowledge.

Solars! You know me too well Grin

I'm with you Scrambled you'd think it were a foreign language...

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 14:58

18 pints? Was the nurse a vampire? Grin

Glad to hear Farfalla saved the day with an emergency citrus fruit Smile.

Solars · 11/10/2011 15:01

Well I have to admit my last few 'seduction' attempts were walking in the bedroom after DH comes home from work and is changing clothes and I say 'well seeing as your undressed anyway lets give it a shot now' Blush

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 15:02

Haha! Classy, Solars Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 15:03

Scrambled I think she may well have been a vampire and taking a bit for 'personal' use Hmm.

Poor old far and Mr Far both had to have heaps of blood taken but we are all brooking that this will Get. Some. Answers. for them so that the next BFP is the stickiest one ever, and needs coaxing out at 9 months with bribery and the offer of a free kitchenaid mixer (do you think they would be desirable to babies? Surely they would be?)

I think - Farfalla I'm sorry I'm just posting all your news in your absence - please don't hate me and do feel free to correct me if I'm talking bobbins (which is so often the case - I'm excellent at talking but rarely is there much sense in there - just ask DH)

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 15:05

Thanks for all the updates Biscuits!

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 15:05

Solars loving the techniques! I don't see what's wrong with being efficient!

Makes me feel a teensy bit better about having the following conversation once with DH:

Me: We should probably SWi tonight
DH: I'm tired - can we do it tomorrow instead. I have to get up early
Me: Ah yes of course, I'll ask my body to wait until tomorrow to ovulate shall I? It's not like we have a choice in the matter we have to do it tonight. I don't care how tired you are it's not exactly like it's a lot of effort for you is it!

it worked though Wink and might have even been the time we conceived

Solars · 11/10/2011 15:07

Grin at Biscuits I may have to pinch that line...it obviously worked!

farfallarocks · 11/10/2011 15:12

biscuits not at all, all this chat about emergency citrus fruits has had me spluttering tea all over my keyboard (again!)

I love your seduction technique BTW, genius

Fret not scrambled DH is just a total wuss, it was only 3 vials for him. He is so squemish. I have promised not to tell anyone (in real life anyway) and not to tease him. Much.

solars I have adopted the 'oh look I happen to be coming out of shower' approach. Works a treat. Although it does mean hanging around for ages in towel waiting for DH to come home.

Appointment is on the 3rd Nov for all results. I am so tempted to squeeze in a little SWI but no I Must be Sensible and all that.

Biscuitsandtea · 11/10/2011 15:15

Wow Farfalla you could actually do SFF! I'd forgotten that existed. If you avoided ov you'd be allowed to do it for fun no?

I can just imagine waiting in a towel for DH - he is terrible for phoning and saying he'll be 10 mins and then turning up an hour and a half later - I'd get hypothermia or something!

it's not that long until Nov 3rd. Only 3 weeks I think? Do you know what they are testing for? Or what sort of thing they might be able to tell you from the results? Sorry if you've explained all this already - my brain is like a colander (would say a sieve but it really does have bigger holes than that)

farfallarocks · 11/10/2011 15:23

SFF I know its really weird. Today I actually had work out when AF was due (normally I of course KNOW).

We are using the withdrawal method during the critical week or so (sneekily hoping that like a teenager it happens accidently and that it sticks)

Not long I know.

They are testing for clotting issues, thyroid problems, some hormone tests (retesting progesterone levels) and chromosonal problems in both Dh and I (very rare apparently)
I am also having a scan in a week or so to check the lining, ovaries and general wombly area I believe. This has to be done at the beginning of the cycle apparently so I have to wait for that one.

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 15:33

farfalla I know these tests are mega-important and I'm very hopeful that you will get the answers you need. However... I am absolutely Grin at the idea of Orinoco and Great Uncle Bulgaria hanging out in your insides.

Sorry for being childish.

But Grin.

farfallarocks · 11/10/2011 15:35

Scrambled I don't get it, am I being thick?? :)

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 15:37

Wombly. Like the wombles of Wimbledon common. Wink

possiblemaybebaby · 11/10/2011 15:37

Oh, Scrambled, too funny Grin

Wombles looks like wombly Farfalla Hope all your tests come back clean as a whistle Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 11/10/2011 15:38

PS no you are definitely not thick! I, however, am veeeeeery old Sad.
