And so it begins again.....

OP posts:
Imps7 · 18/10/2011 13:19

Afternoon!

I may try my OPKs this month, just to see if they're right this time. And also to use them up - I have loads.

Pant snot has appeared right on cue so may the Sexing commence! Here's hoping for a successful shagathon this month.

Have any of you charters noticed that your temps have plummeted with the cold weather starting? Mine was 36.10 yesterday - the lowest it has ever been (it's usually 36.25 - 36.35 pre-Ov). I will just have to keep stocked up on hot chocolate, cream, marshmallows and chocolate flakes to keep warm.

Popcorn - 27 too old! Snort!! When's your birthday Maybe??

Imps7 · 18/10/2011 13:21

Shiny - I meant to ask - what's a "lost" weekend??

Ooooh a red magimix...well gel [henvy]. What are you going to make us first? And more importantly, when?

Imps7 · 18/10/2011 13:22

D'oh - jel, not gell!

Imps7 · 18/10/2011 13:22

D'oh - gel, not gell!

shinyblackgrape · 18/10/2011 13:34

Imps - basically we decided to stay indoors/not really answer the phone/drink lots of champagne and wine and focus on the task at hand [ahem]! In between we watched X Factor [hgrin].

I had to send out to Ocado for emergency food rations!

This is v unusual as we are usually out or have people round but it was bloody lovely!

Re the baking: I am thinking I will make either triple lemon drizzle cake or brownies - of course, plenty for the thread!

It took me aaaaggeeeeesssssss to decide on the magimix and I couldn't believe that a kind guest bought it off the list for us. I just put it on in case anyone wanted to give us vouchers and we could put it towards that.

My sister has a Kitchenaid artisan mixer and I did wonder if that would be better but think that Magimix will be fab as I wanted a really good food processer too.

We also have a lovely Dualit red toaster and I have just had to buy some crumpets to try it out for the first time tomorrow morning. This is not boding well for my low carb diet - the only way I can lose weight!

PopcornMouse · 18/10/2011 14:30

Pant snot, nice :o
My temps have risen, Imps, but I have also come down with a nasty cold today so it could be that and the three extra blankets I've been sleeping with

farfallarocks · 18/10/2011 15:53

shiny sounds like a perfect weekend to me!

imps good luck with the SWI!!!!

I have had some results back today, I realise its dangerous to try and interpret these things myself pre appointment but everything was negative apart from the MTFHR gene which has come back as positive.
Apparently this can be sorted out with high dose folic acid, maybe aspirin. Will obviously wait and see what the consultnant says.

My tsh levels (thyroid) seem to have improved though! Now 2.79 from 3.9 (b vits perhaps?)

possiblemaybebaby · 18/10/2011 16:12

Ooooh Farfalla that is great news, must be such a relief.

Hurrah for pant snot Imps My birthday is 27th November

Shiny that sounds amazing! I loved it when our presents arrived (also John Lewis, great taste may I add?!)

So far I have made a chicken casserole, washed a mountain of clothes, a banana loaf is in the oven, and when that comes out I have a marmalade cake to go in. Nom nom nom.

Oh, and Shiny lemons are full of vit C = healthy. Chocolate is full of calcium, iron and causes a realease of seratonin, which also = healthy. Therefore you must go forth and bake. Immediately. (Almost) Dr's orders Grin

CakePigeon · 18/10/2011 16:35

Glad you have some positive news far Smile

ninja when can we expect your confirmation? It is you who is next , yes?

Your wedding prezzies all sound lovely shiny

I have been treated to two outrageous irritating comments from work colleagues in the past two minutes:

  1. "It's just amaaaaazing feeling a little baby wriggling inside you. I feel sorry for you (said to a man) that you'll never experience it"
  2. "my friend was really upset when she found out she was expecting a girl"
FFS!
Solars · 18/10/2011 16:45

Afternoon ladies,

Farfalla that sounds really good about your results! Keeping everything crossed that all results will be fine.

I'm so enjoying all the baking going on, Maybe i've been dying to make a banana bread too and I like to use bananas that are quite ripe but DH keeps gobbling them up before I can use them, think I may have to hide a few of them from him now!! I work from home and Dh came home for lunch so I made a roast butternut squash soup today no cakes unfortunately.

Shiny that sounds like a lovely weekend with DH, ours was a bit like that last weekend but without the SWI hope you made the triple lemon drizzle cake, mmm! Must have been exciting getting all your pressies!

Cake Shock were they made by the same person? tsk

farfallarocks · 18/10/2011 16:45

cake you know my feelings on the gender thing, I don't hold back anymore I must admit and had a go at a bloke at a party (I had only just met him) when he told me he was desperately hoping his wife's 2nd pregnancy produced a boy.
His GORGEOUS daughter was pottering about as well!

maybe plesae can I have some banana loaf, yum!

possiblemaybebaby · 18/10/2011 17:14

Banana loaf coming your ways Far and Solars

I love making soup Solars so therapeutic!

The whole gender thing gets my back up to.

PopcornMouse · 18/10/2011 17:17

shiny and there I was thinking it was a weekend spent having a Lost -a-thon Blush

cake that's awful! What a %*%£... Shock

Go far, go far, go far
I'm glad your tsh has come down somewhat, no idea on B vits though! :o)

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 17:21

cake they are massively insensitive comments! This person may well feel sorry for those who never feel the sensation of pregnancy but actually saying it is a bit like rubbing someones face in gravel, the pouring a bit of lemon juice on there for good measure.
Well my positivity is wavering today. Not only did i bump into my (very nice) neighbour who announced she is pregnant but almost all the women i saw in town today seemed to be massively pregnant or had newborns and one lady who admittedly had just had a baby so can be forgiven for her hormones/ general madness, thought ds was a girl (he was rather put out, she was rather embarrassed and flustered poor thing) and i've been trying to deny the feelings i've had every now and then which indicate auntie flo may well visit in a few days.

I'll take a slice of banana cake if i may?
shiny your presents and nice weekend sound lovely, lucky you, your dh sounds lovely too.
maybe can i come round for dinner, chicken casserole sounds fab.

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 17:23

farfalla those results sound positive, go you! When do you get to discuss it all with a gynae/ gp?

farfallarocks · 18/10/2011 17:44

ninja not until the 3rd nov, its not long I know, feels like an eternity

Do you have an appointment soon too?

Dildocam on Friday afternoon :)

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 18:22

BartletForAmerica · 18/10/2011 18:25

Could definitely mean something... Smile When are you POAS with a pregnancy test?

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 18:26

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 18:27

possiblemaybebaby · 18/10/2011 18:29

Not that I am trying to be a bad influence...

Imps7 · 18/10/2011 18:33

NinjaChipmunk · 18/10/2011 18:37
