GenericDietCola · 11/10/2011 20:41

Jaggy forgot to say good luck for scan - wonder if it will be twins like Dream?

NinjaChipmunk · 11/10/2011 20:43

generic that sounds like good news about your appointment. Very glad to hear it shouldn't affect your chances too much.

scarlet good luck for tomorrow, exciting!!

NinjaChipmunk · 11/10/2011 20:44

ooh good luck to you too jaggy somehow managed to miss your scan news!

GenericDietCola · 11/10/2011 20:57

Thank you Ninja - we are both on for our BFPs this month!

Ooh Scarlet is scanning too - how exciting! Please will all the PSEPP keep coming to update us - it really gives me hope and is lovely to hear from you all.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 11/10/2011 21:05

Wow! It has taken me AGES to catch up!! It's been a chatty day!

First things first YAY Maybe's back!! So glad to see you!! You've been missed!

I'm glad Generic got some good news today. Fingers crossed everyone else waiting for results also gets good news. no Brooking for Farfalla to find something minor and easily treatable!

I've already wished Scarlet good luck on the other thread but it's worth saying twice, so good luck! Scarlet is the first of our scanathon posse this week! There are three more of us, Jaggy Meconium and myself, having 12 week scans on Friday. Sooooo nervous!!

Good luck to everyone having a little SWI tonight!

GenericDietCola · 11/10/2011 21:13

Wow Scream it's your 12 week scan already! I bet the time has dragged for you, but it seems like it's passed in a flash to me! I'll be Brooking No Argument that all the scanees have good outcomes this week.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 11/10/2011 21:19

It's definitely dragged for me! I've never felt this rubbish for sooooo long before! It'll all be worth it for a good scan on Friday of course!

GenericDietCola · 11/10/2011 21:49

It will all be worth it, I promise!

DizzyKipper · 12/10/2011 07:12

Hi all. This is an interesting thing I learned this morning, oral temperature taking (for me at least) is not very reliable, at all! Temp this morning was 35.22, I was feeling all downcast and worried, then decided to temp vaginally - 36.97! I must lose more heat orally by sleeping with my mouth open or something, so all this cycle my temp has been fluctuating quite a bit and making me worry about my progesterone and possible anovulation and it's probably been fine all this time. That will teach me for not respecting it as the glorious fanjometer that it is.

Not to sit down with a cup of decaf and catch up with everyone.

DizzyKipper · 12/10/2011 07:14

*Now, not not!

DizzyKipper · 12/10/2011 07:49

Glad to hear things are going well for you. And I'm sorry that you weren't able to skip Tuesday, hopefully Wednesday will be better.

Solars that sounds quite cool being able to speak another language, particularly Japanese! I have aspirations of relearning German, I just love the way it sounds, but am waiting on Rosetta Stone getting sorted out. Does anyone else speak any other languages?

Grin At Cake and sighing at more sex - does feel like a chore sometimes doesn't it? I try very hard to make sure OH doesn't start to feel that way, which means being remarkably restrained sometimes (a few cycles ago he hurt his balls somehow and was declining sex during the fertile period - took a lot of self restraint not to demand it from him and just wait out the cycle instead).

Biscuits I imagine a maths degree would be quite interesting (when you get into the more philosophical area of maths anyway). I do sometimes regret not doing a stats degree over psychology - it probably would've helped my career prospects, but as I wanted to do research in social issues psychology seemed more relevant.

Far ensure to eat lots of chocolate after those vampires had their way. Glad to hear you'll be getting answers soon and then can ensure your BFP soon after your holiday, works out very nicely.

Generic hope your appointment went well today.

Do you have to wait long for your DH's sperm analysis Baby? Boo for the long wait until ovulation, but you have us to keep you company Smile

Not sure we've met yet? Anyway going to be brooking hard for you to get those test results back ok. Do you know how long it will be before you get the results? Also with temping make sure you get a thermometer that reads to 2dp - it'll help with the accuracy. There's no need for a fancy thermometer other than that though. You should take your temperature as soon as you wake up, after at least 4 hours of unbroken sleep, and try to avoid moving out/eating/drinking before you temp as this can raise your body temperature. I find fertility friend convenient as somewhere to be able to put my readings without losing them, it also has VIP (paid) services if you want where your graph can plot all your other symptoms and be overlaid on other charts you want to compare them to. I just use basic service and get on ok. You can take your temp orally or vaginally, I have found for me that my oral temp is actually quite unreliable and fluctuates a lot so am now going with the latter, but I think most people probably don't have a problem.

Thankyou shiny for my lovely chocolate bar Grin Happy shagathon as well.

Scrambled happy shagathon to commence! Had to giggle at your chat up line though, not surprised you're knackered with a 20 mile cycle every day! You must be really healthy!

k Not quite finished reading through, there's just so much of it lol

PopcornMouse · 12/10/2011 09:24

Generic yay, that's really positive! You can start smacking that rat big time :o

Dizzy yes, I found tempting fanjoly infinitely more reliable as I also sleep with my mouth hanging open mmm sexy, I think it might have been Imps that recommended it.

I have a crosshair on my chart! Yay! :o

Biscuitsandtea · 12/10/2011 09:26

What does a crosshair mean on your chart Popcorn?

PopcornMouse · 12/10/2011 09:31

Musical - I've not seen extreme knitting, I shall google!!

Ninja alas, naming said magazine would out me majorly - but yes my office is chock full of craftiness (DH says when he opens my cupboards he expects rainbows to trip out) and we also get lots of freebies which just about makes up for the crap wage :o

PopcornMouse · 12/10/2011 09:32

Biscuits it indicates my ovulation day and baseline temp (I think) :)

Biscuitsandtea · 12/10/2011 09:36

Ah ok - so you're on the 2ww then? Congrats on your SWIing efforts Smile (which I assume have occurred)

PopcornMouse · 12/10/2011 10:24

Yes, though not as much as I'd have liked due to DH's shifts - only once in the 3 days preceding Confused but next month we have SWI week off work, hurrah

possiblemaybebaby · 12/10/2011 10:29

Morning everyone Smile

Thank you all so much for the welcome backs

Dizzy I don't think we have met, but thank you for brooking for me, and thank you for the advice on the old fanjometers Grin I too sleep with my mouth open, so think the other end will be the best place to go!

Scream my dear! How are you and Whisper? Blooming I hope?

Hurrah for crosshairs Popcorn you can now have a rest, no?

AF has now pretty much stopped, but am still going to go with yesterday as CD1. I think. You are right Generic I did suspect PCOS cos I had that weirdly long cycle before. Though I have never had anything as starnge as this. I also have none of the other symptoms that go with it

I think it will be quite a wait for the results, as the surgery are updating their symptoms, so could be a good few weeks. But at least the ball is rolling now.

Musical Grin how are you? Has all your spotting stopped now? I too live in Essex

Scarlet any news yet?

Biscuitsandtea · 12/10/2011 10:48

Morning everyone. Nothing to add, just morning Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 12/10/2011 11:04

Morning. I have had D&V since yesterday evening Sad. Hopefully this will clear up soon as DH has illogically decided it's very unattractive and is giving me a wide berth.

I have pointed out that Bartlett had shingles and it didn't stop her DTD or getting upduffed, so a little bit of sucking it up and taking one for the team is definitely in order. Get me with the sexy talk!

Extreme knitting, eh?

possiblemaybebaby · 12/10/2011 11:06

Oh Scrambled that sounds utterly rubbish. Hope you are managing to keep something down soon.

Top marks for the stiff upper lip Smile

I love knitting. Thank goodness it is getting cold now and I can wear my knitted socks. Extreme knitting eh? Is this wear people randomly knit things on public statues and landmarks? Or is that something else entirely Hmm

GenericDietCola · 12/10/2011 11:10

Oh poor Scrambled how mean of your DH not to shag you! Honestly - men are supposed to be gagging for it every minute of the day but it's surprisingly hard (fnar) to get them to Do It when you need then to. Humph.

Popcorn once is enough and you will be enjoying your week off with your head in the loo from all the morning sickness!

Maybe well I hope it's not PCOS, but you will know from loitering around on MN that it's not the end of the world and I'm sure your lovely dr will sort you out.

Biscuts is it your MW appt today?

ScrambledSmegs · 12/10/2011 11:23

Thank you! I am nibbling on a piece of toast, Operation Recovery is under way. I'm still very about DH's lack of manning up last night though. So what if I had sicky mouth? Doesn't he want another baby?! Grin.

What's the significance of a crosshair, Popcorn? Does that mean your rat is smacked?!

Maybe, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was about 22. Had DD in my early 30's, no probs. It's normally a manageable condition and it's very simple to make changes in your lifestyle and diet that will help as well as any medication you might be given. Oh, and mine appears to have gone after DD too!

possiblemaybebaby · 12/10/2011 11:33

Thanks Generic

Scrambled thank you so much for that Smile Luckily I am pretty healthy and active, and have a good diet. Luckily I don't have any of the other symptoms either, so fingers crossed if I do have it, it will only be mild.

Really pleased you are feeling better. And really, what is with your DH? Does he not realise that kissing is not essential? Surely he could have held his breath... Grin

ScrambledSmegs · 12/10/2011 11:43

Hmm, if you don't have any of the other symptoms it sounds a little unlikely. Although it is still possible. I hope you get the results soon, boo to long waits!
