OP posts:
GracieGirl · 02/10/2011 21:17

Buddha I agree, ring the hospital for advice in the morning. Give little E a hug from me and here's one for you too.

I'm all in a tizz today. My sister in law as been in labour since 8pm last night and it sounds like things are now pretty close. She's in hospital in the same birthing pool I gave birth too DD in. I wonder if it says "Gracie's DD woz ere" on the side! Grin

barbie1 · 03/10/2011 08:22

A very quick post for Buddha....back later

Ring the hospital, it will be without a doubt cancelled...they made such a huge fuss when I told them that dolly had eaten the tiniest amount of crisp and they put us back 2 hours. The doctor explained that any food in the tummy can effect how the sedatives work, the same goes for cold and fever.
If there is a cold present the inner ear drums will be inflamed making the op difficult, if you didn't tell them they would be able to see anyway.

Hopefully you will get the next available appointment and not go back on the waiting list x

BuddhaBelly · 03/10/2011 09:11

It's still on Smile I've rung the hospital and they said unless he has a high fever or vomiting they will still do it! So now I'm back to stressing about the op and not just the cold Wink

Sorry for lack of personals I promise I'll be back on form once tomorrow is over and done with

Barbie I did see scan went well Smile so pleased for you
NeekoSorry for missing edd
4ever Watch this space

barbie1 · 03/10/2011 11:13

Buddha, I hope you are relaxed and not too stressed x

barbie1 · 03/10/2011 17:50

Tis very quiet here today...are you all out in the sun?????

Vjay thanks for bumping the other thread for me x

Back tomorrow, I'm off to catch up with spooks and then to bed x

cupcakefairy · 03/10/2011 18:54

Buddha so sorry I tried to text earlier but then realised I didn't have your number Confused really hope it all went ok today and here's to no more ear infections! I'm sure E was a star and you were more upset than him...hope you got lots of cuddles afterwards :)

barbie yipppeeeee for good scan news! Envy of the Peach Blossom...though I doubt ds would sit in it for long as he started to hate his iCandy but is much happier in his Maclaren stroller Hmm

Vjay love the hover GrinGrin

4ever fab about continuing the holiday Grin been amazing weather hasn't it! No worries about the weekend- the problem with when we come to London is that it's always to see family so don't know how I'll ever squeeze in a meetup :( but determined to one day!! Nooo, sister and BIL not ttc, she graduates drama school this year and wants to kick off her acting career first :)...though her MIL is desperate for grandchildren bless her and bought loads of presents for J this weekend, so generous!

Gracie yippeee for SIL in labour! Any news?? How funny both your dc might be born in the same pool! How's the sickness? I've been feeling so faint and dizzy I'm worried my iron is low already (didn't happen til about halfway through last pregnancy) really don't want to go on those yucky iron tablets again :(

MLS 12 sleeps to go! Hang in there...praying hard for your dd3 Wink to hang in there too! Do you have plans for dd2's birthday?? And have you seen the consultantyet about her neck?

Neeko so sorry you had a little wobble :( curly is right it never leaves us, but so glad M had a lovely birthday.

Vjay did you watch Strictly?? Love it so much!! So excited that Jason & Kristina scored so well, would love to see them go far :)

loueytb3 · 03/10/2011 21:43

Popping on quickly to wish buddha loads of luck for tomorrow, I know you will be a bag of nerves but it will be over soon and will hopefully sort E's ear infections once and for all.

DH on a jollie away with work until Thurs night so I'm flying solo with all 3 (eek!) and appear to have picked up a cold. Have spent much of the day dealing with Isaac's latest trick, which is that he can seemingly unlock a locked window in his bedroom without the key. He gave me a heart attack on Fri night when he was hanging out the window whilst I was bringing things in from the garden. I raced up the stairs to pull him back in again. Hopefully we will get a proper fixed lock on it in the next few days.

No Spooks spoilers please, I can't watch it until DH gets home.

loueytb3 · 03/10/2011 21:47

barbie forgot to say, my PG DSis is having a boy. Guess what she is calling him Grin

vjay how do you do the hover thing over your name??

littlebellsmum · 04/10/2011 00:17

Hello - just a quicky to say hi to Buddha and little E - hope the op goes well and he is soon home and ear ache free. How good will that be - a winter with no ear infections looming.

'lo to all - 4ever your holiday sounded fab and you sound so chilled. Long may it last - great sentiment about enjoying Summer now. Its so easy just to focus on what they will do next or another baby or what ever. I had my first 2 close together ( MLS, close your eyes now!) and in hindsight, I don't remember my dd1 being a 2 yr old or my ds as a baby - it was all a bit of a blur. Of course, we reaped the rewards now as they are so close and easy to entertain as they both are at the same stage. However, it is lovely with BB to just have her and to be able to enjoy her babyness. It's also funny - she is now the age that DD1 was when ds arrived and we thought that DD1 was so old. She really wasn't, she was just a baby herself!!

barbie - Dubai to Aberdeen - ummmm, sublime to ridiculous!! Aberdeen is suppossed to be a lovely city though. Sure you will have a great time and Dolly may even get a really cute Scottish accent - will be a bit different to your life now though!! Shame you are leaving the sandpit as I've just booked a holiday there for February ( going to visit our friends for more than a day this time:) )

Got to go - v late and v tired!!

4everhopeful · 04/10/2011 08:00

Quickly dashing into squeeze Buddhas hand and stroke Es hair.. Just think this time tomorrow you will have a happy earache free baba... X

Waves to everyone else, Lbm I must get in touch with you soon cos madness of christmas will be upon us before we know it! Shock

GracieGirl · 04/10/2011 08:13

Also quickly dashing in to hold Buddha's hand.

I'm an auntie!!! Grin. Baby Joseph born at 00:15am yesterday morning, weighing 7lb 8oz. Smile. I went to see them in hospital last night, he's gorgeous! ( and now I'm really stressing that it's 6 days till my 12 week scan).

4everhopeful · 04/10/2011 08:18

Btw Louey Shock at Isaacs window shenannigans!! Call that locksmith immediately!

Had similar heart in mouthedness as took Summer to park with her cousins yesterday, she's always been a real climber and into everything, but my 10yr old niece was taking her up on the tallest slide via walkways and high bridges then letting Summer whizz down the super long slide while she shrieked with delight and I ran around with open arms ready to catch her!! My big brave 16m old going on 3yr old! Confused

Meant to say bless you Lbm for saying that about the age gap, its so true, despite having a very strong willed, forward thinking and independent little lady, seeing her running round with her cousins yesterday, and on holiday, even though she's so tall and nearly the same height as her 3yr old cousin, she is still very much my baby and, after 3yrs of waiting for her, I want to enjoy every minute and give her my total undivided attention.... My nieces and nephews, as well as DH and his 3 brothers, all had a 3 yr age gap which I'm thinking would be good for us too Smile

4everhopeful · 04/10/2011 08:27

Xpost - Congratulations Auntygracie!! Grin Wow 12wk scan in 6days - its whizzing by it seems! (probably not for you though!)

GracieGirl · 04/10/2011 10:37

I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow. Time is dragging by very slowly. Though the chest infection and asthma has given me some non-pregnancy things to think about which is a funny way has probably helped. Seeing Gp again tomorrow as finished steroids today.

cupcakefairy · 04/10/2011 11:38

Sorry buddha for thinking op was yest Blush read my comment again tonight :)
congrats gracie on being an aunty, & on 12 wks :)

4ever my nct friends call j spiderman as he climbs up slides Shock i'm always running after him having heart attacks at the park Grin sounds like our 2 would get on a treat! are u still leaning on the small pants bench then but just keeping zen til next yr?

CurlyLikesShortShorts · 04/10/2011 12:46

Poo lost post and here am I trying to be all sneaky and subtle as I'm meant to be working GrinGrin

Just wanted to offer my hand to Buddha and snuggles to E xxxx

Waves to all you lovely ladies!

Neeko · 04/10/2011 13:00

H'lo all.
Buddha Been thinking of you and E today. Hope all is going well.

Cupcake and 4ever Can H join the climbing club? Just had her at softplay and she went down the biggest slide - the one her sister didn't go down until July! Hmm Grin

4ever there's 3.5 years between my girls and while I'd have liked a slightly smaller age gap (as you know), it does work well. M is great with H and really makes her laugh. There's a time for everything as they say and it's lovely to hear you enjoying Summer.

Gracie Congrats twice! Smile

MLS Happy birthday to DD1. Let the week of brthdaying begin!

Vjay Has Ajay's hair recovered from painting the ceiling yet? Love your hover too. I still don't know how to do that.

Louey eek to windowgate! Shock Sending you a virtual helping hand for flying solo.

Blue Are you ok?

Thanks for al your lovely messages re my episode. Came completely out of the blue and I don't know why, but all ok now Smile I wish my edd wasn't at M's birthday, but there it is.

Right must go and do M's photo babybook. Only 5 years too late but hey ho!

Neeko · 04/10/2011 13:01

x-post Curly Hope you're ok x

barbie1 · 04/10/2011 14:42

Just had some scary news about the 20 week scan. A membrane was found in the sac. She is unsure if it's just a amniotic band or fold. The band thing has a bad outcome, the fold is ok and baby can survive. She is even unsure if it's any of the above and just a membrane of some kind. I now have a very scary 2 week wait to see if the pregnancy is going to have a good outcome.

Sorry for sad post, I just can't think to do personals at the moment x

GracieGirl · 04/10/2011 14:53

Oh Barbie! that's just not fair. What happens now? Another scan in 2 weeks? Huge hugs. You must be so worried.

barbie1 · 04/10/2011 15:48

There can be a few possible outcomes.

Next scan shows nothing...just put it down. To one of those things

A fold is seen, if it's not close to baby it means we can carry pregnancy on. Baby will have not much space though and will probably be breech and most likely will have to arrive via c section a few weeks early

A fold is seen, but close to the baby...they will let me carry on as far as we can before membrane gets too close, then c section. Resulting in very perm baby

A band...worst case. Means that the baby more than likely won't survive or if it does will probably be disabled due to membranes attaching themselves and causing growths.

I am not religious but I am praying for all it's worth.

Dh thinks to get second opinion and to go to fetel medicine place cause they tell you there and then. What do you think?

Gg, congrats on the newborn by the way.

I hope Buddha is sitting rocking her sleeping baby x

GracieGirl · 04/10/2011 15:56

I am religious so praying already. Yes go to fetal medicine place, do whatever it takes to get your answers as soon as possible.

loueytb3 · 04/10/2011 16:04

Oh crap barbie I can't believe they have just told you this. I agree with your DH and would def get a second opinion, and fetal medicine should have the best equipment and personnel in Dubai. Have everything tightly crossed that it's just a blip on the scan and nothing serious.

Buddha hope it all went well and E is back having cuddles with you x

auntiegracie congratulations - lovely name, Oscar was very nearly a Joseph.

I know i need to catch up with some more of you, hopefully later.

barbie1 · 04/10/2011 16:04

Gracie, thank you. I'm crying so hard. I want to stamp my feet and scream why us, but I know there are people going through worse. I have googled and found some reassurance. I'm keeping it all my head and will stop googling and remain positive. Dh has said he will call our doctor tomorrow to see if she can tel l him more, as I went on own he is unsure what was said.

GracieGirl · 04/10/2011 16:43

Oh Barbie! As you say there's always someone going through worse but it's not a competition!! You have every right to be worried sick, maybe your DH will find out more tomorrow. I have everything crossed that it's "just one of those things which turn out to be nothing". Huge hugs for you in the mean time.
