Hospital a bit of a drive and then had to deal with the insurance and then I had no credit to text...and then we had to catch the second half of rugby at a friend house who had recorded it.......

I felt every single one of your presence in the scan room with us, scan was a bit daunting to be honest.

Last time we went to the fetal medicine clinic and the doctor was fab, takes us through the scan and told us there and then everything was perfect. This time it was a foreign lady scanning and was told that she wouldn't tell us anything as it wasn't her job and therefore I had to go back to see my doctor for the results. Scan took ages, and when probed she did say everything looked ok , she told us the sex which dh was beaming at. Doctors on Tuesday.

I seem to have been put back a few days, maybe even as much as a week but that's normal isn't it? this scan seems to be in line with what my doctor has been saying all along, just makes me wonder due to be putting forward a week at the 12 and 14 weeks ones with different doctors.

I'm rambling...

But rugby was a good one eh? Go eng er land!!!!

Barbie Hurrah for your baby boy! Aberdeen is a nice place. I have family up there. The people are friendly, quite good shops and there'll be plenty for Dolly and you to do. I can even put you in touh with my cousin whose DD is only 3 months older than Dolly. Plus I'll definitely be up for a meet up. See? Not all bad.

4ever welcome back. The holiday sounded amazing.

Moon been thinking of you lots. Hope you're hanging in there.

Sabs happy belated birthday to Saara Blush

Blue Thanks so much for your text the other night. It meant so much. Hope things are easing for you. Can't wait til our meet up.

cupcake Yay to booking in appointments and things seeming more real.

MLS I'll be squeezing tightly for the 14th. As for the bump - let them talk!

Gracie Glad the sickness is easing but sorry to hear about the asthma.

Louey Giving the DTs their own room sounds like a good idea. The meeting at school sounded really supportive too. i'm in awe of you running with a pram!

Had DD1's 5th birthday this week. Huge party last Sunday which was great and another mini one on Tuesday which was her actual birthday. she was a star and had a fab time. She's really growing up as she announced a boyfriend on Thurs! Shock Hmm
Had a mini meltdown on Wed night thinking about my llo who was due on DD1's 3rd birthday Sad. Lots of personal stuff going on too which probably contributed and which is why I haven't been round much.

Hope you're all ok. Big waves to those I've missed.

Neeko · 01/10/2011 20:10

P.S. Barbie That was my first grown up book too along with all of my friends so Ralph will have meaning in Scotland Grin

Waves to Vjay & Barbie

barbie1 · 02/10/2011 09:26

Neeko, I am very sorry that I forgot your edd and your dd1 birthday Sad I have been so wrapped up in the scan and proposed move that I haven't given anything else very much thought. You are always there for us, texting when appropriate that I feel even worse now. Hope you are ok my lovely? Would love to meet up with you if we move to scotland! I can meet the others when I get to london in the second leg of our move....

Waves back to mls...

Dolly is off t nursey this afternoon so I'm going to sort out her baby clothes (weeps) we are going donate some to the women's aid thing here and the others I might eBay, especially all the bon point stuff. Im sure I will stash a few of our favourite things and her first dress etc.

Just discovered the rainwear and wellie section of jo jo maman bebe, I love it! Never had a look before as there was no need!

VJay · 02/10/2011 11:27

Hi mls Smile I don't remember my EDD's as such either, I just remember the dates of my mc's, I've got one coming up this month.

blue how are you doing? I hope you're alright lovely, I've been thinking of you. Have you been to St Andrews lately? It is such a lovely place, we are planning a visit next year maybe Smile

barbie you will need wellies, raincoats, umbrellas Grin. I told dh you were moving from Dubai to Aberdeen, and he's a man of few words but did say 'that's quite a change!', bless him Grin

We've had none of the lovely weather up here, it rained all day yesterday, and is threatening today, my heating is on!!!!
Waves to everyone enjoying the sun Envy

4everhopeful · 02/10/2011 12:49

Neeko belated birthday greetings to M and (((hugs))) for your edd, we all have our different ways of coping and whether remembering actual dates or not, obviously they will never be forgotten.. I've other RL triggers, like you with M's birthday, which mean i remember my 2 in september, 1 in january and 1 in april.. Sadly now got to go through another one on february 23rd next year... Sad

Moon thinking of you - do hope you have found the energy to follow things up with a complaint and 2nd opinion..? Remember how far you've come...

Vjay aw gutted you've had no sun up there! I specifically packed enough in our case for everyone! How long til you get your results btw?

Barbie its mad to look back at teeny clothes isn't it? Do you have much unisex stuff that Ralph Grin can have? Poor Dolly will be in for a bit of a shock to suddenly be donning wellys hats and winter coats won't she?! It is lovely to wrap them up all cosy for winter though, have been getting Summer a few bits inc a gorgeous winter coat from Next, obviously not needed right now though!

Louey sounds like a great day yesterday, isn't this weather amazing? What did O think of the beach? Heard so many people say babies don't like sand but Summer loved everything about the beach (even tried eating it Hmm ) and gained another new word 'tap tap' for hitting the bucket whilst making sandcastles (which were destructed with delight as soon as built! Grin )

Curly I believe its pom pom shaking time soon isn't it? Wink Decision time on X factor tonight - I'm undecided!

MLS how was the pool party? Any comments on the bump?

Cupcake hope you had a good day yesterday, absolutely gutted I couldn't make a meet up... Bet your sis is thrilled for you, is she ttc herself being a newlywed n all?

Gracie hope your chest is improving, and the sickness too as the wks seem to be passing quite quickly.... How long are you signed off for?

Buddha holding your hand for Es op this week, bet you're feeling very wobbly, but it will be worth it for your little man to be pain free.. What day is it again? Should put it on the list, where would you be on the list? Are you tempted for number 2 yet? Grin

Know we have tx too but Monkey if you're lurking, I'm rooting for you sweetheart ...

Strawberry are you out there? Confused

Well since we've been home, apart from mountains of washing we've continued Cyprus part 2 in our garden with paddling pool out and bikini on every day - its just like still being on holiday, fantastic! Grin Still indulging in a daily tipple and a few meals out too, Grin though sadly Dh had to go back to work and has lates next week when the weather changes so back to reality then!

BuddhaBelly · 02/10/2011 20:56

Girls, opinions please:

Looks as if Ewan has picked up a cold it seems to be clearing but I am supposed to declare if he has had one in the last 2 weeks. I've been googling like made and found a website (medical one) that stated a child needs to recover from a cold before an anaesthetic of they could develop a chest infection. So I really don't know what to do, I don't want to put it off and get yet another ear infection but then can I really take the risk of a chest infection. I just don't know what to do Confused Maybe I should just ring the hospital for advice in the morning

VJay · 02/10/2011 21:05

I would ring the hospital for advice if it was Ajay. Hope that helps Buddha and give wee E a hug from his cyber aunt xx
