Hiya barbie I've stopped feeling emotional now after that post, what a time you had!!!! Love Dolly helping you, she'll be trying to feed her own dolls next Grin. You need to get a pic up for us non facebookers Smile

How are the other pg ladies doing? mls where are you? Hope you're ok.

buddha fingers crossed for you, roll on Friday.

jools how's things with you?

Gotta dash, the bin men are here and ajay wants to watch.

Joolsiam · 31/01/2012 20:06

Barbie - lovely to hear what happened. Please don't worry about me - just keep posting pics on FB :)

I had a horrendous weekend (hormone crash) but am getting back on track now. Once the bleeding has stopped, I will, regretfully and tearfully, see the GP about contraception and potentially going back on antidepressants for a while to help me through the next few months. DP doesn't want to do this any more - to be honest he never really did. He is nearly 47 and feels too old. I wish with all my heart we'd started before I was 38 but I am facing reality and need to move on with my life. If DP was on board, I'd keep trying for a while longer, but without his support, there is little I can do.

It will take time and I'm not sure I will ever fully come to terms with it, but I'm just going to be an indulgent Auntie and need to make plans to fill the baby shaped void - I don't want that to just be "career" so am starting to plan lots of holidays.

I've really appreciated the support I've had from everyone on the thread - I'll lurk for a while but it may soon be time to leave. What place does a childless non TTC'er have on a forum like this !

xx

BuddhaBelly · 31/01/2012 21:22

Jools Sad I'm so sorry that you feel you have reached the end of your journey. Having to face making that decision must be incredibly hard for you especially as you've had to do this on your own by the sounds of it Sad would do consider alternative ways of being parents? Surrogacy, adoption or fostering? Im sure you've probably considered all of these I'm just clutching at straws for you Sad

Barbie oh my what an experience!! Thank goodness I knew there was a happy ending to it before I read it! Brilliant news that Henry wasn't affected by the amniotic band. Love the pictures on fb so adorable Smile

littlebellsmum · 31/01/2012 21:51

jools Really sorry to hear your news - decisions are good in themselves but the subject of this decision must be so hard. But without the support at home, it must be doubly harder. Visit to the GP's sounds like a good plan - I know that you work really hard but wonder if some sort of voluntary work with cat rescue or something might be good for you - alond with holidays of course Wink

barbie Scary story but what a happy ending and your mil was there to meet Henry really early too. Loving the photos of dolly with her brother :)
Thanks for the invite to Dolly party but we fly home that day. Will try and get over to see you when we are in the sandpit as we will have a car - but if we fail, will see you when you come home Grin

BB is being a nightmare at bedtime currently - i had a big presentation at work today and virtually no sleep last night. Not a great combination!!

4everhopeful · 01/02/2012 09:11

Ahhhh barbie! Grin How incredibly emotional, scary and wonderful, all at once! Sheer luck your mil arrived when she did! Was right back at Summers birth when you talked of rushing to theater with pain relief worn off feeling every contraction, then the bliss of the spinal! Absolute terror though for those few moments waiting for 'the cry', how scary to have the cord round his neck Confused Bet you are all elated, and so lovely to hear how sweet Dollys been! Smile Glad to hear my tx made you smile too.. Now I just need to see a picture!

Jools I'm so sorry you have come to this decision Sad I thought of you a lot last night and wish things could be different, forgive me cos i didn't realise this was another cp/early mc,did you get a bfp in the end? Could it have just been an awful af? I only ask cos I realise this is a drastic decision and using contraception again seems so final, wouldn't it be worth just seeing what happens? Also as Buddha said, what about adoption or other alternatives? I know we definitely considered it .. Sorry if I'm stepping over the line but i hate to think of you giving up on your dream, I spent a long 3 yrs full of heartache fear and sheer desperation that I might never have a baby and all i wanted in the world was to be a mum, it hurt so bad, I just wish i could take your hurt away..

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 07:14

Morning Smile
jools that is a huge decision you've come to and one I'm sure you've not taken lightly. Youve been a wonderful support on here. Just know you're well thought of and will be missed. I hope you find some peace in whatever you decide to do. I hope you still pop in from time to time but understand the need to stay away. Take care xxx

buddha any signs or symptoms?

barbie how're you getting on?

Got a grumpy Ajay this morning, his excema (sp?) is irritating him just now. Hope everyone is ok and I can't believe we're in Feb already!!!

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 08:48

Morning Vjay Smile its freeeeeezzzzzing February alright! Can't wait til March and spring begins! Took Summer to softplay with my mate and one of her Dds yesterday and it was even cold in there when its normally like a sauna in them places! Still wouldn't mind some snow so i can see Summers face! Bless Ajay getting excited about the binmen! Boys and big trucks eh?! Smile

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 08:59

And don't forget our birthdays too Grin march is mad for birthdays!!!!

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 10:41

Hmmmm Hmm I thought as I wrote that, am I really looking forward to March and my 37th birthday?!? Confused Grin Oh well my toyboy DH is 34 in a couple of wks and they say your as young as the man you feel! Grin I was just gonna call you my fellow pisces Vjay but are you on the cusp?

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 11:00

Ooh it will soon be time for inane chit chat to fill up the thread! Grin Barbies quite probably gonna be rather busy with young Henry to participate in the usual tradition with you Vjay & the threads been so quiet lately it may well take us several more weeks! Smile

BuddhaBelly · 02/02/2012 12:53

After numerous so called symptoms I caved and did a test this morning, bfn Sad af due tomorrow. Bloody preseed I had high hopes this month Sad

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 12:57

Hey buddha you've just tested too early, don't give up yet {{{hug}}}

4ever I'm the 14th so yes a Pisces too Smile.

cupcakefairy · 02/02/2012 13:02

Ah buddha so sorry to hear that :( you never know, it could be too early to see yet...

jools so sorry to hear you are at that crossroads again... but you know there are plenty of posters on mn who aren't mums or ttc so you definitely wouldn't be out of place we'd always welcome you :)

barbie just so so lovely to read the picture you painted of your little family... so glad Henry has been a good boy so far that definitely bodes well! Maybe you'll get a quiet placid one who sleeps through from the word go this time...I think you deserve it GrinGrin

4ever We've had a teeny bit of snow here but I am a scrooge and hate the stuff Grin so was moaning...but you're right it is worth it to see the little one's faces. At least it's not Christmas and potentially ruining our travel plans!

Vjay J LOVES to watch the binmen too! Once they've been he spends the next few days saying 'ninnen, ninnen' and pointing out of the front door then going 'bye bye' Grin so cute.

Right...I have the last 10 mins of last night's obem to watch, the sobfest moments! Loved the couple on it last night they were so funny :)

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 13:18

I watched OBEM properly for the first time last night. I've avoided it before now because I always get too emotional but I was rather proud of myself, yes I did get teary when the babies were born but I sat watching glad I wasn't doing all that again. Ajay being 2 has put me right off Grin. It was a good programme, the older couple were funny.

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 13:23

cupcake ajay also loves the postman, when he sees him coming he runs to the front door and holds the letter box open ready to grab the letters. The other day I had to sign for one so he wasn't able to get them, I then had to stand outside and post them through for him to catch. The things we do to keep our babes happy Smile

Another thought, while I fill up this thread, 10 years ago I found out I was expecting cjay, 10 YEARS!!!! I can't believe it, my pfb will be 10 this year , and he loves reminding me Grin

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 13:32

Vjay of course your pisces! I knew that really! Grin Totally hooked on OBEM, DH and i both sit there in tears watching the births! I was out of it like the young girl last night, for a good few hours, cos I had too much epidural, anaesthitists and docs got a bit worried, very wierd to watch..

Buddha crap news sweetheart, hang in there, it'll happen soon enough...

Cupcake Shock how can you not like snow?! Sooo magical and beautiful!

Right I'm attempting to download/back up our thousands of photos onto an external hard drive, its a laborious task and will probably take months!

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 13:38

Xpost! Awww Summer is oblivious to both binmen and postman! Binmen come at about 6.30am and postman comes at random times and we have a porch so my poor girl is missing out on a wealth of entertainment from the sounds of it! Grin

Ok - stop stalling mrs

4everhopeful · 02/02/2012 13:41

Missed the bit about Ajay being 10 this year!!! Shock Wow your mummy to a proper big boy!

BuddhaBelly · 02/02/2012 17:34

Vjay 10! 10! My goodness! You'll have to tell Cjay it's the last year he can count his age with two hands it's all downhill after that Wink So cute Ajay wants to be postman pat!
4ever bit disappointed in lack of random waffle and thread filling! Grin

Had a bit of spotting today too, so af on its way for sure (please no one mention implantation bleed cos I know it's not) been v low today must be hormones and stupidly hoping we has cracked it this month. I know in the big scheme of things we've only been trying 4/5 months but I feel times a ticking Smile I am eternally grateful for E too but I'm just being greedy Wink

VJayJazzle · 02/02/2012 18:41

4ever S is missing so much fun with the letter box Grin. We have to check ours and empty it regularly, in fact I checked it today and it's got receipts and makka pakka stickers in there!!!

buddha sorry it looks like af is on its way, and you are in no way greedy!!!! Just wanting normal things. I hope it happens soon for you, I really do xxxx

littlebellsmum · 02/02/2012 22:26

Good try ladies - with the inane chat or was that just a normal day when you're bored Grin
budhha she's probably got you properly by now, evil, evil witch but rememeber theres always next month and you are only young, Enjoy the tryingWink

Anyway, thats my attempt at filling the thread - 1 week untill we go to the sun!!

littlebellsmum · 02/02/2012 22:28

oh and I love Feb - as it's my ds's birthday and we've just got him the perfect bike on ebay Grin

Still trying to fill this thread

littlebellsmum · 02/02/2012 22:31

But can't try too hard on my own as I don't know how to start a new one!
And 4ever, I'm with you BB is really missing out at nursery, no bin men or post men and the milk men just aren't loud enough !! However she has recently got into the telly - her favourite programme is " black cat" . You would probably know it as postman pat but she's only interested in Jess !!

BuddhaBelly · 03/02/2012 08:02

lbm Young!!!! I wish!! Wink years the bike like. You could post a link waste a bit more space! Smile

BuddhaBelly · 03/02/2012 08:04

Cold enough for everyone? Grin

Oh and yes af has got me Sad there are three of us at work all ttc at the moment what's the betting one of them get pg first Angry not that I mind of course WinkEnvy
