Here we are, it's getting chilly, the slanketsnare out. Were all here to support, laugh and cry with each other.

VJayJazzle · 15/01/2012 19:04

Hi jools I was thinking of you yesterday and here you are SmileSmile, thankyou for letting us know where you're at, and I do understand your need for distance.
I will keep everything firmly crossed for your 2ww, you just never know Wink.

Just know that you're an 'emmsy weeble', and we've a strong bond.
I've not heard from mermaid/strawberry Sad, but often think of her too, and the other lurking/MIA weebles.

Forgot to say I had my scan the other day and I've not got gallstones, so I'm not sure what is going on but do have an idea, so I'm trying to lose weight as I know it will help. I only have another stone and a half until I'm comfortable again.

jinglebellsmum · 15/01/2012 20:53

jools lovely to see you and hear about your dn - auntiehood is also a nice place to be . You are always welcome here but understand what you don't visit often. Take care

vjay not gall stones is good right? Losing weight is also good - well done you.

Got to go again - just wanted to say hi to the lovely Jools xx

BlueMoon1981 · 15/01/2012 22:29

jools so lovely to hear from you of course we remember you. I also became an auntie last August, so I understand how lovely but how sad it is at the same time. I also dont visit the thread much anymore, it hurts too much most of the time and I for one dont feel like I have anything to contribute anymore. But its a great place for support and the girls have been amazing. Take care and pop in to see us if you can xxxxxx

bakingqueen · 15/01/2012 22:57

Jools lovely to see you popping in hope your ok so sorry to hear you have had another mc but that your loving being an auntie big hugs to you x

4everhopeful · 15/01/2012 23:27

Ahh lovely jools its so good to hear from you.. Smile So true what vjay said, you'll always be an emmsys weeble and its an eternal bond... I saw your email so knew about you sadly having another mc and totally understand your need to detach yourself, my miracle happened, but after another mc i get how hard it can be and will never forget the heartache and longing i felt before we were blessed, and I hold out lots of hope that you will still get to be blessed with your miracle too.. Your thought of often.. Huge hugs to a lovely stronger than she realises, lady.. Smile

4everhopeful · 15/01/2012 23:40

Vjay really pleased its not gallstones, though hope you get an answer on things soon, guess its an elimination process but sure a scan rules out any other big concerns which is good.. Well done on the weight loss, i could still do with losing another stone and a half but just love my food too much to care be motivated....!

Cupcake and Barbie sorry to hear your littluns have been poorly poorly sick sick, always a worry... Summer had an awful runny bum for over 10days through christmas, can imagine its even more of a nightmare to deal with your bumps.. Barbie how exciting to get your date! When is it? I remember getting our induction date with Summer and thinking that or the next day would be her birthday, little did i know it would be 5days later!

4everhopeful · 15/01/2012 23:46

Btw really excited today to have booked a short break in a caravan in weymouth the day after Summers 2nd birthday/our 7th anniversary! Grin Never done a caravan holiday before but really looking forward to it! Totally spontaneous unplanned booking which was nice to do, and also ok if i happen to be pregnant again....

cupcakefairy · 16/01/2012 15:02

Lovely to see some familiar faces peeking in... hi moon and jools. Often think of you both...especially when we come out with things like 'we just have to look at our little ones and we're so grateful'...I know it must be sh*t for you to read stuff like that as you haven't got your little ones YET. So glad you're still popping in to say hi sometimes though and you're never forgotten.

Barbie my lovely, I remember the feeling well of how things are going to change forever- I cried aaaalll the time when pregnant with ds cos I was so worried about how it would change mine and dh's relationship forever. Little did I know it would totally enrich it and make me love him more. Of course it'll be an adjustment with your lovely new baby, but he'll be part of your family straight away and you won't be able to imagine life without him after a couple of months. So exciting you have a date now. Will dh be off to look after Dolly while you're in hospital? Have to say my main worry at the moment is ds while I'm in labour, have never left him for long :(

How's our other preg ladies, curly, MLS, gracie? Do pop your heads round the door please!!

4ever fab news about a holiday, something to look forward to.
Btw, are you thinking of putting Summer in a bed soon? We're getting one from a seller on gumtree tonight but not sure ds is ready just yet..but would like to get it done before baby...dilemma Confused
I saw a BFP number plate again yesterday and thought of you, and all our other ttc ladies :) speaking of...

buddha are you still on 2ww?? Let us know what's happening!

I've been looking into lots of 'gentle birthing' type books to try and read up on some relaxation techniques... since watching last week's OBEM I'm determined not to let fear be the overriding thing in my labour this time. Has anyone read anything like Effective Birth Preparation, Childbirth Without Fear or Gentle Birth, Gentle Mothering? Looks like libraries here don't have them so may have to actually buy one Leaning towards the first one at the mo as it's by the woman who did the CDs gracie sent some of us.

4everhopeful · 16/01/2012 17:12

Hey cupcake no plans for a bed here yet, she's actually still in our room, and often still gets in bed with us, our choice as much as hers! She has a cotbed in her room which she's never spent the night in, and tbh I was totally freaked out for the short time i was pregnant that we would be forced to put her in her room before either of us were actually ready! Confused I also had to abruptly stop BF whilst pregnant, which made me sad and guilty, that Summer was already sacrificing things for the baby, though in hindsight it was probably good to have a definitive cut off... So feeling barbies angst, but giving Dolly a little brother and playmate is the most wonderful gift... I'm sure many mums would have a look of horror about the sleep issue, but after all those yrs of wondering if we'd ever have her, we've been in no hurry to put her in her room, after all, she'll probably spend most of her teenage yrs in there! Grin As for J though, as he's well used to his room I'm sure he'd adjust fine to a bed.. Fraid I've no advice on the books, as you see I'm a bit of a nomad on the subject!

4everhopeful · 16/01/2012 17:17

Nomad, wrong word, free spirit/non follower/find own path type man! Smile

jinglebellsmum · 16/01/2012 19:36

cupcake my dd1 went in a bed at 16 months as her brother arrived a month later and we never had any probs at all. DH built an extended bed side onto the bed and so she could only get out at the bottom and the other side was against the wall. we left her in her sleeping bag and she just didn't seem to realise that she could. DS was in a cot untill he was nearly 3 as we didn't think we had room for a bed in his room and I was planning the same for BB but she's being really bad at going to sleep at the mo and apparently sleeps on a mat at nursery during the day so we think the cot might be the problem. So, if we are feeling brave, we may get the bed out - v loathe to do so as this monkey will know she can get out and flings herself round so much

Re the relaxing birth stuff - I found the NCT yoga classes brilliant when pregnant last time . Both that and the refresher course were brilliant at dealing with the fear side - linked in with Gracies CD's I was feeling really chilled and not worried at all - untill I found out it was a section but thats a different story!

4ever I love your sleeping arrangements Smile BB seems to spend more time in our bed than her own but we have to go and get her from her room, in the middle of the cold dark night. Snuggling up with them while they are still small is lovely - BB got to watech lewis with us last night as she's not well, was yelling and was only going to go back to sleep with one of us and we weren't tired!

Hello to everyone - need to be doing some work. Had to have a day off to day as BB wasn't quite right and didn't want to send her to nursery, got no work done and now need to catch up as the little monkey refused to sleep at lunchtime.....

Neeko · 17/01/2012 20:16

Hi. If anyone asks I'm not really here as I'm supposed to be marking Wink Just had to pop in when I saw Jools had been here. So nice to hear from you and I did have a Smile to see how many cheeky lurkers it prompted into posting. Nice to hear from you ladies. Hope you're all well.

Vjay Glad that Ajay is getting on well at playgroup. Hope it's giving you a little bit of breathing space and you aren't using all the time to study. when's the exam?

Barbie Sorry to hear that Dolly has been ill and happy belated birthday to you. V excited that you've picked your son's birhday. atre you planning on sharing the date or have we to run a traditional sweepstake?

Cupcake we waited until M was 2.5 for a bed and she was brilliant from day 1 and we're keeping H in the cot until she's 16 for as long as possible but all three of my nephews were in a bed at around a year and it all went fine.

4ever I was surprised to hear that Summer is still in with you but you make it sound so lovely. H has never slept with us for any longer than an hour or so. She likes her space and takes up the whole bed!

Blue Are you out there?

Must go and find the marking guidelines that I'm supposed to be on the net for. Hope everyone's ok, especially those MIA.

VJayJazzle · 17/01/2012 21:43

Evening all, just been watching stargazing live, it was really good and I got a comment put up on the website, I'm such a geek Grin

neeks no exams now just big end of module assignments. I got my ordinary degree 3 weeks ago Grin and I'm just doing the last 2 modules to (hopefully) gain my honours, and yes my Ajay free time is spent studying.

barbie how are you lovely, it's not been an easy pregnancy, but you're so nearly there now Smile

cupcake Ajay is now out of his cot bed and into a single as of new year, he's still rubbish at sleeping and this means I can just get in with him.

4ever I love your chilled-out-ness, I'm quite like that too, I don't follow the text books, I tried with cjay and he was nothing like!!
Hope everyone is ok xx

barbie1 · 19/01/2012 16:11

How lovely to have Jools and moon popping back in...lovely to catch up with you both. As you can see from all of our previous post you both haven't been forgotten and you are though of often Smile Jools, I too sent you a text n Christmas eve but I have a sneaky feeling that I have the wrong cell number for you?

Moon how are the wedding plans coming on?

Tis very quiet in here again? I guess real life has been taking over. I know I've been busy getting stuff ready for the influx of visitors starting from next Thursday.

We also got confirmation of our move back to the uk! We should be touching down (henrys passport permitting) the middle of april and will be based around the Kingston area for about 6 months before heading off to Korea! Yikes, everything has been happening at once so my absence from the thread is due to nesting and sorting out things to go home...

Cupcake, re the bed situation. Its never going to be a good time, however could you cope with lifting ds in and out of the cot if you end up with a c section? Also ask yourself at what age the new baby will be when you decide to move ds1 if you haven't done it before. I ask this because I know for the first 8 months I was so sleep deprived I couldn't of done a thing! At least now of have a good few weeks to get ds trained into bed sleeping and hopefully he will be adjusted before the new addition. Dolly is finally getting it, she still wakes but will return and go back to sleep within minutes...the doctor told me she could well be picking up on the fact that change is coming and might be a little more clingy to me, which she has been. Good luck!

In keeping with the tradition of this tread I'm going to suggest a sweepstake for d day and a weight competition as well....so who is in????

Waves to everyone xxx

Think I've got teething boy again...lots of runny nappies but he seems fine otherwise... Vjay, I can't believe I missed your post about how clever you are!!!! A huge congratulations and mucho respect for everything! You really are super mum!

Just had 'the call' about the poorly sil, she passed away today. Sad so so sad, it makes being away even more difficult.

On a brighter note I'm loving my sweepstake!
I will tell you a date in the next few days, to be honest after seeing Obem I'm trying to put it to the back of my mind...that c section looked horrendous Shock

Nothing much else to report from here, I've been busy nesting...in fact I have thrown away so much stuff dh has started to check the bins Grin I just can't help myself! Dolly has been a little angel, but to be honest it's more to do with her coming down with a slight fever and having lack of energy to do much but sit and read books with us.

Hope you are all having good weekends, speak soon x

4everhopeful · 21/01/2012 18:39

Barbie so very sorry to hear about your Sil.. Sad I thought of you whilst watching OBEM as I was squirming in my seat! Ouch!

Had my scan this morning, thankfully all ok and no obvious reason why having such awful AF, also got all clear for my smear through post this morning, so a clean bill of health for ttc again... Smile
Was pretty anxious beforehand, and lots of wierd emotions as gynae, ante natal and Epu are all one unit at the hospital, same reception, same scan rooms.. V wierd being there without Dh and not expecting / hoping to see a baby on the screen, yet also so conscious of all the scans I've had and all my babies I had seen... Said a little prayer in the chapel, as we always do... Thoughts of my last bad news scan obviously at the forefront... Sad Have had lots of big cuddles with Summer and Dh today...

VJayJazzle · 22/01/2012 16:35

Oh barbie that is so sad I'm so sorry xx
