Oh jools I have just caught up on the thread and saw your news. I'm sorry love, how insensitive of me going on about Henry
I hope you are ok, sending you all my love x
Who wants the birth story? Both my kids made a dramatic entrance! Henry is currently sleeping next to me, I'm very lucky, he feeds every three hours, burps on demand and then self. Settles back in the crib until the next feed!
it's been pretty boring in the hospital really...dh has been bringing in dolly every day but once they go I have just been sleeping, reading and watching tv. S strange to have nothing to do! Prays that ds stays a little angel...
So, Friday mil arrives and we all do a big supermarket shop. Nothing strange there except I w wondering around totally forgetting what I was meant to be buying and acting all weird (says dh)
Spent afternoon in garden with dolly, lifting, running and playing games...bed at 8pm feeling sick...
3am, in the bath. My c section scar was hurting and I was really uncomfortable. I had to style in the bath for an hour due to dh not hearing me calling for help! Realised pain was coming in waves of every 30 mins and then every 15. Dh says to go back to bed as its only b hicks
20 mins later and like a scence from Obem, I was pacing and panting while dh called labour ward.
10 mins later and after a tearful goodbye to a now awake dd I was in the car screaming in pain. Contractions now every 4 mins!
Dh made me walk to the ward, refused a wheelchair because he thought I was making a fuss...imagen his face when they admitted me and told me I was already 5cm dilated!
Fractic hour spent in labour while emergency team assembled from homes across Dubai. Totally off my face on gas and air.
Wheeled down to operating theatre with no painkillers, contracting and screaming all the way. Fully dilated but now 45 mins after admittance and feeling the need to push.
Spinal injected and was told that the operation had to be very quick as I couldn't afford to push.
Tears, pulling, injections, screaming and lots and blood later Henry James made his first appearance with the cord wrapped around his neck twice. Frantic 20 seconds of silence and a team of doctors working on him, his finally gave his first cry and I finally stopped shaking!
No cord damage at all, he had pooed during delivery and his lungs were full of mucus but apart from that he was a heathy weight of 6.4lb and has a full head of black hair just like his sister did.
From the moment he was born I have had it easy...just hoping it last! Dolly is great, A little over tired and emotional due to being out of her routine, but she has become my little helper, fetching me nappies and wet wipes. She even helps put my nipple in Henry's mouth
Spent yesterday in tears due to the hormonal come down and the shock wearing off. Totally missing dd and feeling guilty about leaving her and the new changes, but a few lovely text from 4ever cheered me up no end and today I was allowed home to be with them both.
I am blessed.
Thank you all for everything over the past 3 years, you girls rock!
