jinglebellsmum · 02/12/2011 20:07

lovely meet with 4ever -Summer is so lovely and we even managed to do soms shopping Xmas Smile

Very quiet on here today - hope everyone is ok?

4everhopeful · 03/12/2011 14:36

Really great get together with the lovely Lbm and the gorgeous angel baby that is Jojo! Summer absolutely loved having some new faces to play with too, and was just adorable when she leant into Jojos buggy to kiss her goodbye! Grin A really lovely time... Spent. way too much shopping afterwards though!

Mullered today as up really late doing our christmas tree Xmas Grin cracked open the mulled wine and put on some christmas tunes, right in the festive spirit, but then Summer was wide awake half the night for some reason, so now I?m beyond tired....

cupcakefairy · 04/12/2011 12:57

Afternoon all...glad everyone has been having lovely meet-ups even if I am a bit Envy that nobody lives near me :)

We have been getting festive too 4ever...whole hosue smells like Christmas as dh is making mincemeat and christmas cake (ds turned the oven up full wack when he was baking the mincemeat though and we didn't notice for about 20 mins haha! So it may be a little overcooked...cheeky boy)

I'm gonna put the Christmas music on now while ds naps and we make some cards, yippee!

VJayJingles · 04/12/2011 14:09

Hiya,
cupcake my festive tunes are on right now, loving it Xmas Smile

blue how did the thyroid check up go? I've got the docs on Thursday to find out about my blood tests re; possible gallstones, on the plus side I've lost 10lbs in 3 weeks and have had no pain while I've been on this low fat diet.

neeko and blue any snow with you? It's been coming down on and off all day, we woke up to it and Cjay leaping round the house with joy!!! Xmas Grin

4ever and lbm your meet up sounded lovely and festive Xmas Smile

Well as I said it's been snowing up here so both boys have been out playing in it, Ajay is really enjoying it this year, he howled his head off when I had to bring him in, but they're now both rosy cheeked and red nosed, bliss! [hgrin]

jinglebellsmum · 04/12/2011 20:09

Vjay Snow!! early again this year -sounds fun. My older two have been talking about snow all day - we went out to get the tree this pm and now all they want is snow - don't think BB would like it much

Christmas has landed - jars have been decorated for biscuits, biscuits have been made, gift tags started but this I was over ambitious - note to all crafty parents, unless you really don't care that the output looks like and they are old enough to follow instructions, make up an example and let them copy - jars are lovely , ds's gift tags are just rubbish - lovely if BB had made them, but not a nearly 7 year old.
I did make chilli jelly but it hasn't set right and so if more like chilli sauce - ah well, looks pretty though Xmas Smile
I've started baking - one more lot to do to night, cards to start and then maybe some wrapping as i need to have the bulk done to take north to mil's this weekend... Oh, for a restful evening ...

4everhopeful · 05/12/2011 10:35

Oh wowsers Jbm you truly are superwoman! Xmas Envy at you, cupcake and all other bakers out there! Alas in my case its all by name, not by nature! Xmas Grin Ahhh well, one day eh?! Making Summers birthday cake was a step in the right direction! I have however made a big dent in wrapping pressies last night and today, done my overseas cards with letters and photos, and managed to fill 5 photo albums with pics of Summer for mums, sis, nan and great aunt, fabulous stocking fillers for proud loving relatives Xmas Wink

Vjay Xmas Envy SNOW?!?!? Very very Xmas Envy Xmas Grin really hoping we get some this year cos can?t wait for Summer to see it! She was only 7m when it snowed last yr, reckon she?d love it! at your description of Cjay and Ajay with rosy cheeks and red noses! Xmas Grin

barbiecaughtkissingsanta · 05/12/2011 15:36

Hello to all you cold emmsy's out there....any more snow to report? Just been looking at the pictures on line of the snow and as much as I'm very Xmas Envy of how pretty and fun it look I don't think I could handle the cold!!!! Brrrr...I was complaining the other morning when we all took Fred for a walk, it was 19 degrees or something like that and it felt Baltic, dh and I came home and dug out some hoodie tops for the future morning walks.

Vjay, your description of the snow almost made me wish was had made the move to Scotland, but for the very reasons above I'm glad we didn't! Xmas Grin

4ever and lbm, totally envy at your meeting...I will get to meet you all some day soon, once we make it back across the water.

Cupcake your branch/tree sounds lovely, we only have such a massive tree due to always living in old Victorian style houses, where it lends itself so well. Does look a little old with the Arabian sun as a backdrop! We used to spray branches and hang from the ceiling, even got a little robin to perch on them...I miss uk Christmases.

Louey, any joy on the eating and bumble seat?

Buddha, hope you don't think I'm rude for not passing on my address, just didn't want to you have to q at the post office for hours for an airmail stamp for it to arrive some time in the new year, I will forward you my address for my congratulations card though Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

Well, I'm shattered...the most horrendous dreams have been keeping me awake. Xmas Sad one of which really freaked me out that baby will arrive soon, so much so that I have have started to Rush out and buy Moses sheets and blankets etc in order to set the Moses up just in case.

Also dolly has decided that she much prefers to fall asleep with me than in her bed. 15 times tonight in and out before she finally gave into sleep. She also sneaks in during the night and scares the bejesus out of me by touching my face or grabbing my arms Xmas Shock dh has taken to do doing the night wakings as she doesn't mess him around so much. We also bought a gro clock today...fingers crossed it wont take too long to get her back in routine

Wave to everyone, I have to go and eat...catch you laters x

BlueMoon1981 · 05/12/2011 20:18

Hello

I feel like a bit of a traitor coming back in when I've been awol, I hope you dont mind that I'm only popping in to mark my edd of my 2nd little angel, I dont have anywhere else I can go and I know (hope) that you will understand. Its crazy to think that I should have a 2 year old running about the place. Me and df had a very bizarre evening yesterday, we sat on the sofa, kind of lazily surfing the net, somehow ended up on a baby name site and we sat for ages and picked out a girls name and a boys name. We never did that both times I was pregnant. It was a bit surreal, but lovely, and heartbreaking all at the same time. I dont think he even realised what the date was today and why I was fighting the tears last night. Todays been a horrible day and I'm glad its nearly over. I got myself into a bit of a panic earlier when I felt guilty about not being to able to remember my 1st little angel in the same way - we never had an edd, I just know it would have been early september some time.

I do still lurk and I do think of you all loads. Its too hard to be part of the thread at times, but it doesnt mean I dont care.

Big hugs to you all.

VJayJingles · 05/12/2011 20:47

{{{{{ moon }}}}} hope you're ok lovely. It's good to see you and just know that I think of you too, I wonder how your wedding plans are going. It's nice to know you lurk, and never feel bad about being away.

Neeko · 05/12/2011 20:49

Moon Glad you posted. These days should be marked if you feel the need to (I know it helps me.) I think of you often and hope you have a lovely Christmas whatever you're doing. Huge hugs for your sad day x

Neeko · 05/12/2011 20:51

x-post Vjay Hope you're ok up there in the snow. No snow here but plenty at Dh's work where he lives Smile

cupcakefairy · 05/12/2011 21:23

moon you know we love to see a post from any emmsy no matter how long they've been away. Massive hugs for your edd and that made me well up about picking names with your dh...but it is such a good thing that you both still have that hope it will happen, as do all of us :)

vjay bit Envy of your snow but also glad we haven't got it yet! Getting v chilly here though think I'm finally gonna have to dig the winter coat out!

barbie Shock at dd scaring you in the night...that would make me jump out of my skin. Reminds me of the time I was woken in middle of the night by a policeman up a ladder knocking on my bedroom window cos I'd accidentally locked my mum and sis out ShockShock

BuddhaBellyXmasBaubles · 05/12/2011 21:39

Loving all the Christmas names very festive ladies (fsmile)
Cupcake Can't believe they didn't even listen to the heartbeat Xmas Angry and no-one lives near me either so we'll have to be "billy no mates" together Xmas Grin
Lbm & 4ever Very Xmas Envy that you had such a lovely meet up, sounds as if your lovely girls were very well behaved so it's probably a good thing I don't live near you as my ds would have left you all traumatised Xmas Grin Xmas Wink
Vjay Well done on the weight loss, nice to see that you are getting some positives from all your health problems at the moment. Hope you are enjoying the snow
Lbm Have you sat down yet Xmas Wink stop it right now woman you are putting us all to shame Xmas Grin
Barbie I have overseas cards to post anyway so I don't mind Xmas Smile I hated the horrendous dreams, they always feel so real still when you wake Xmas Smile perhaps Dolly is picking up on that and wants to comfort you Xmas Wink
Moon Don't even feel like a traitor my lovely, as the others have said its lovely that you still lurk and you post whenever you feel like it. Hope today has passed without too much sadness, huge virtual hugs for you x

Not much to report here, we went to a Christmas fayre yesterday where santa was arriving by helicopter and E fell asleep! Typical, at least that meant we didn't have to join the HUGE queue to see him. Ewan just doesn't get santa yet but really really wants it to snow so he can build a snowman with a carrot for his nose Xmas Grin
AF didn't appear so I'm marking it down as just one of those things, so 4ever I think that means we're still cycle buddies Xmas Smile

BuddhaBellyXmasBaubles · 05/12/2011 21:40

Oh my Xmas Shock Cupcake I would have s**t myself if that had happened to me Xmas Grin

4everhopeful · 06/12/2011 14:57

Oh i did a big post to moon this morning that seems to have disappeared Hmm

Now i shall just simply offer

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/12/2011 22:24

Hahahaha you ladies are making me laugh so much with your poo stories! Just catching up..... may be a while....

Naughty Gracie for keeping your scan quiet. Yay for being over the halfway mark. Has your friend in Oz made any decisions yet?

4ever lol at your poo story, we've only had 1 poo-in-the-bath incident & that was by dd1 when she was little & we were at my sils house up in Scotland!

Lovely Neeko glad your meet went well with the equally lovely Blue. V jealous though that you are going to meet again & have alcohol. Xmas Envy Also jealous of the weekend you have just had! Xmas Wink

Cupcake repeat after me - I am not going to have bad news at my 20 week scan. Mine's on 6th Jan. Are you feeling lots of movement now? I'm not feeling anything definite yet. With dd2 I started feeling it at 9 weeks (mad I know) but I'm 16 weeks now & I can't quite decide if I'm imagining the movement or not. I have my 16 week appt on Friday & was warned at my booking appt that they don't do the hb at that appt any more, only from 28 weeks.

Louey I have to take my hat off to you with 2 kids at different schools (& all the demands that entails) a little one at home, lack of sleep and you STILL manage to do a mammoth post! If my dh said he wanted me to wear some sexy silk undies he'd get a slap!! Xmas Grin

Barbie I've been reading through the thread with my heart in my mouth. You are coping remarkable well my lovely, hang in there tight & you'll have your beautiful boy in your arms before you know it. Lol at your dd touching your face in the night, I think I'd scream the house down! We have a gro-clock, DD1 has had it for a couple of years & it works - most of the time!

Blue great to see you posting again. Xmas Smile Had to lol at your boy's bedtime routine as my girls are the same. DD1 has to be handled with kid gloves at bedtime, read-to, nurtured, stroked, cuddled & just the right amount of night-lights on. With dd2 I give her her bottle, chuck her in her cot with her dummy & noo-noo blanket, lights off & close the door! I'm sure it's nurture not nature that has made them that way!

Vjay, once you have everything in iTunes you should just be able to plug your iPod in & it'll transfer all of your tunes onto it. Lollots at you underwater shopping! 10lbs in 3 weeks... how the hell did you do that???

LBM I made all of our gift tags with dd1 but if truth be told, I did most of the work & was quickly moving her stuck-on snowflakes to the correct position before they had a chance to set in the haphazard way she'd stuck them! Is it too early to make cinder toffee & shortbread now do you think, or will it last until Christmas? I've ordered some little cardboard boxes from Ebay & can't wait to fill them with goodies! Xmas Grin

Moon so glad you come back from time to time (until you get your BFP & you'll be back with us ALL the time). This is absolutely the right place to mark your sad anniversary. I keep thinking about you & wondering if you got anywhere with the clomid or if you are still having to wait until the New Year.

So sorry I've been awol for a couple of weeks, rl has taken over. Those of you on FB will know that my girls are poorly. Sadie has had a cough for about 6 weeks now but she had a week of being very ill which coincided with Kitty being just as ill with a soaring temperature. Took them both to the docs last week& he said that Sadie was getting over an ear infection & Kitty had an acute ear infection & needed antibiotics. A few days later they both came down with colds & now they are both mucus infested & coughing so badly that they are being sick. I'm spending my nights running from one bedroom to the other administering Vicks, cuddles, medicine & milk & really not getting much sleep in the process. But hey, number three will be here in 6 months so things are just gonna get worse!! Xmas Grin

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/12/2011 22:26

Oh & on a completely different note - Lily Allen finally had her take-home baby last week. Xmas Smile She's not announced the name yet but I've heard on the grapevine that she's going to be called Ethel..... wtf???!

cupcakefairy · 07/12/2011 09:18

Hi MLS! Lovely to hear from you. So sorry about your poor dds :( hope they're recovering now. Also lol at 'helping' dd1 with the tags Grin
I'm still not feeling big movements, just little pokes every now and then. I'm pretty sure it was only in Christmas hols I started to feel proper movements with ds so hopefully a couple more weeks :) (v useful being pregnant at same time of year as last time!)

Did hear about Lily Allen, so so pleased for them but Ethel, really Hmm
Amanda Holden due around Feb or March, will be so pleased for her too when she delivers her baby safely :)

barbiecaughtkissingsanta · 07/12/2011 12:13

Moon, hi love...I'm offering you a chocolate from our tree, they are very sacred don't you know Xmas Wink dolly has helped herself to a few so we have moved them up out of her reach and only where I can get them. Evil cackle! I'm glad you know that you can come back as and when you want, we all all understand your need to stay away but we are here for all the important and sad dates. I hope next time you come back it's with a very special Christmas present Xmas Wink

I'm lurking as we had some bad news, my brother in law's fiancée has been sent home from the cancer hospice to spend the last few days in comfort at home. She is only 21. I cried so much for her yesterday, thinking how she is robbed of so many things. She will never have the joy of getting a bfp, nor will she hold her new born in her arms...god knows how my bil will cope Xmas Sad just waiting for the dreaded call any time soon.

I'll be back to do personals this evening x

MummysLovesSanta · 07/12/2011 17:29

Oh Barbie that is so sad. Sad When was she diagnosed?

VJayJingles · 07/12/2011 18:10

Oh barbie that is awful, no words can express it properly.

Neeko · 08/12/2011 07:03

Barbie Thinking of you and your family Sad

barbiecaughtkissingsanta · 08/12/2011 12:29

Thanks my lovelies, I hope I didnt bring the thread down. Just wanted to explain my lack of posting.

She was diagnoised middle of last year, after going to the doctors about a back ache. So so sad for everyone.

How are you all? I'm just waiting for dh to arrive home so the weekend can begin Xmas Smile
