Naughty Gracie for going to the scan on her own!
Very happy that it was good news for you...make sure you let us hold your hand through the rest of the 20weeks though ok.

Good job I had finished eating after reading your poo story! Yucky!

VJayazzle · 28/11/2011 16:50

Here's my hand for tomorrow barbie Smile

gracie yay to good news, but so Sad for all those other ladies.

cupcake try not to worry, I'm sure it will be fine Smile

4ever your drunken poo story made me chuckle Grin

blue anytime lovely Smile

Poo stories, yuk. AJay did bring me a clean nappies and wipes yesterday, then I smelt he'd done a poo, clever boy Grin

Sorry it's short and sweet, just a tad busy, I've got an assignment due soon.

BuddhaBelly · 28/11/2011 21:00

Firstly thank you for E's birthday wishes, he had a fantastic time and the weekend seems to have been a whirlwind of visits or visitors hence the delay coming on!
Barbie Good luck, hugs, hand squeezes and hair strokes for tomorrow, will be keeping everything crossed for your update tomorrow. Well done Dolly on the potty training!
Gracie Congrats on your successful scan such a shame about all the Sad news around you, no wonder you kept things quiet.
4ever Love the way dh tried to sober you up with the dirty nappy Grin sort of thing mine would do too Grin good for you letting your hair down and getting a bit squiffy I bet your dddbro would have done the exact same thing Smile

Grin at all the poo stories - really made me laugh loads! Like Dolly Ewan has a habit of putting his hand in his nappy and going "uh oh poo" whilst spreading it around everywhere - yuck kids really are gross Grin

Still no AF Hmm I've poas about 4 times all BFN so no idea what's going on it's now 5 days late I know I'm not pg but I just want it here so I can start again!!!

SabsFabulous · 29/11/2011 08:15

Morning lovely ladies, a quick sneaky post from work to wish barbie the best of luck for today. I would've sent you a text but I've lost quite a few numbers from my phone so will need to get my old phone out

Yay to gracie for everything going well at the 20 week scan and a belated congratulations to qa and the family on the new arrival. Hope everything's going well.

Waves to everyone else

4everhopeful · 29/11/2011 09:02

Hand holds and much luck sent across the Arabian seas to barbie today..

Yay to gracie for good scan news and for being half way there! Any idea on the flavour?!?!

4everhopeful · 29/11/2011 09:13

Ooop big waves to Sabs - miss ya lovely! Summer sends Saara tummy tickles and kisses!

Waves to everyone else too, Summer woke at 5am instead of the usual 7-8ish, mainly due to a leaky nappy which happened after she'd climbed in bed with us and absolutely soaked our bed so now its all in the washing machine, and her usual naptime of 11-12ish is gonna be more like 10ish which will throw the whole day out a bit as Dh is on lates, had a playdate this afternoon with one of my bf's dd, but now cancelled as she's been being sick, will have to decide on some alternative impromptu afternoon entertainment now as its gonna be a long old day!

VJayazzle · 29/11/2011 12:56

Just had a text from barbie, 'the membrane is still there Sad, looks like its attached but she (sonographer) wouldn't confirm until I see doctor tomorrow. Slightly tearful right now. Baby measuring 28+4 so only a little small.'

Big hugs {{{{{barbie}}}}}

BuddhaBelly · 29/11/2011 13:04

Thinking of you Barbie let's hope the doctor is more positive tomorrow x

cupcakefairy · 29/11/2011 13:22

Oh barbie so sorry to hear it wasn't positive...but not bad news either so we'll be keeping those fingers crossed and prayers going up for tomorrow. Chin up.

Hi sabs :)

buddha and barbie yuk yuk to sticking hands down nappies!! I'm dreading ds becoming more aware of it all and doing stuff like that...won't be long I'm sure. He is just amazing me every day with the new words and phrases he learns. Today it was 'up we get' after he fell over which is what I always say to him but I was amazed it just came out of his mouth! Shock

gracie another brilliant poo story and lol at tiny bit getting in the potty Grin bless her! Such good news about your scan so pleased. I have 16 wk appointment today so will hopefully hear heartbeat :)

4ever glad you celebrated your dbro in style...only 2 more sleeps til December!! I have just been filling up our advent wall calendar with lots of goodies, ooh I'm so excited!

Vjay with her head down working hard...hello :)

loueytb3 · 29/11/2011 14:42
barbie1 · 29/11/2011 15:35

Thanks vjay for updating for me and for all your lovely messages.

My head is a muddle...I saw the band right away and even pointed it out to the sonographer Blush I held me breathe until I saw all the limbs and she counted out 10 fingers and toes so the baby looks healthy on the screen but she couldn't deny the band was still present nor could could deny tht it looked slightly attached to his head.

Baby measuring 28+4 which puts me back to the 17th which is the date my doctor has always insisted on.

Appointment at 4.15 tomorrow so will wait for better news, oh and the fluid is slightly lower than normal so another added worry. Roll on the next 10 weeks.

I'm sorry that I'm not up for personals right now, I need some dinner and a nice soak in the bath.

Good luck tomorrow cupcake, nice to see louey back too...and the lovely sabs too.

Night night all x

GracieGirl · 29/11/2011 16:17

Huge hugs Barbie. I hope the doctor is able to reassure you tomorrow.

4everhopeful · 29/11/2011 19:25

Will send a prayer up for you barbie ..... Bet you're going out of your mind....

Neeko · 29/11/2011 20:01

Sending Barbie lots and lots of love. Hope the doc can reassure you tomorrow.

Goodluck to Cupcake tommorrow too.

Belated hugs to 4ever for last weekend.

Helllooo to Sabs Hope you're ok.

Louey Busy lady. Yay to becoming an auntie again.

Gracie Congrats on a good scan.

Well done on finishing the assignment clever Vjay

Had a lovely meet up with Blue and the gorgeous B today. The kids behaved brilliantly and it felt like Blue and I have been rl friends forever. next time we're putting alcohol in the mix and dragging brainyVjay along!

Sorry this is so short and sweet. We're fitting a new carpet in the livingroom tomorrow and the room needs cleared.

VJayazzle · 29/11/2011 22:08
Grin
littlebellsmum · 30/11/2011 07:01

barbie so sorry to hear that the scan wasn't the good one you needed. Bet this seems like a long day untill your appt - hope dolly is doing her usual good job of distracting you

VJayazzle · 30/11/2011 11:09

barbie thinking of you today, hope you're not too stressed, is the doc appointment 4:15 your time?
I'm around for a bit if you want to waste some time, I'm busy working out how to get CDs onto iTunes then the iPod, the mind boggles (see neeks not that brainy) Confused

VJayazzle · 30/11/2011 11:18

Ooohh I've figured out getting the CDs onto iTunes, just need to get them onto the iPod, it's my christmas tunes!
Anyone having a festive name this year?

4everhopeful · 30/11/2011 11:46

Vjay it all takes forever doesn't it!? Im finally getting an ipod as my pres from dh, i got him one a couple yrs ago, tis all quite longwinded but worth it!

I'm praying so hard for barbie & baby ralphie... I googled about the band and how she has got through this pregnancy without having a complete breakdown i don't know, you're very strong and very brave... When Summer was diagnosed with the 2vessel cord at 20wks i initially thought the worst and sobbed for a wk, then found the sheer determination of spirit that she just had to be alright after what we had already gone through to have her... I'm hoping that sheer determination is keeping you going to? Its so unfair to go through pregnancy without really being able to be truly excited and to have constant worry at the back of your head, but it will just make that little boy even more loved when he arrives safe and sound Smile My heart goes out to you it really does, my SIL had some rare wise words that stuck with me though, that no pregnancy is normal

VJayazzle · 30/11/2011 11:55

Hi 4ever, the cds are imported onto itunes and I'm going to get dh to do the rest.
I googled the band the too, and realised how amazingly strong she is. Your SIL is right, no pregnancy is normal, and what is 'normal' anyway, I'd love to meet the people that write the textbooks on 'normal', and I'm not just talking about pregnancy here!

4everhopeful · 30/11/2011 12:17

Yea tell me about it vjay! Smile I had an old workmate obsessed with the film Quadrophenia and constantly used the catchphrase 'what's normal then?' he did some promotions and called his regular clubnight it! Smile

barbie1 · 30/11/2011 15:03

Hi girls I'm back...
Loving all the positive post to me above ^
Was totally beside myself this morning after spending the morning googling stuff, silly silly girl.

However the good news is that my fluid levels are normal, and the the baby is growing on the 50th percentile and looks to be about 2lb already.

The bad news is that the band is still there which I knew about from the scan. The doctor said it looks to be touching the baby but doesn't know if it's attached due to the angles of the scan. She did say even if it was there is nothing to be done about it so to sit tight and have another scan at 32 weeks. My diabetes test came back fine so I'm grateful for these small mercies. My urine however flagged up something so will await the results tomorrow. Could be because I dropped the lid of the pot on the floor Blush

Judging by the scans everything seems to be ok with baby, no facial deformities which the band would of caused so I'm back to burying my head in the sand until the next scan!!!

barbie1 · 30/11/2011 16:26

Oh and the baby is in a foot long breech position which explains my bloody sore ribs and the feeling like something is going to exit my fango at any given moment...

4ever, I keep thinking how tough this is but what keeps me going is this thread, things are even tougher for so many of you. I think in 'weeks' this week is one week closer to the next scan, to the lungs being mature enough to cope, to the baby being stronger...the worst tht could happen now is the baby could lose a digit, but in the grand scale of things that isn't the end of the world. We would cope.

As long as I continue to be monitored then we can take each small section of this pregnancy as it progresses, by the next time we get any news we will be that much further along and have more chance of survival if worst comes to the worst and he has to be be delivered.

Louey congratulations on your new arrival...great name Smile

bluesatinsash · 30/11/2011 17:52

barbie you sound very positive Smile. Fluid levels are v important and reassuring that they are OK. I hope your 32 week scan leades to a 34, 36 and 38 week one... I was nearly delivered at 32 weeks and was reassured that baby is fully formed just needed padding and wouldn't necessarily need nasal tube...

I can empathise with your taking it two-weeks at a time I was there with B's irregular heart beat and every scan possibly being his birth date.

I did Grin at louey's new nephews name Smile. Congrats AuntieLouey!! So young Oscar not a fan of the rice - have you thought of doing BLW and letting him reach for the chicken drumstick dictate what he fancies? I continue to take my hat off to you and your plate spinning/ball juggling capabilities Smile

cupcake - did you have your scan today Confused? Loving your DS's wee phrases. My B says "shut the door please" when I put him in his cot at night - no rocking required unlike his big brother who I still sing to sleep!

neeko - you know we never even got round to talking about interior decoration Shock! So lovely to see you and the beautiful Miss H Yes I was v. proud of them both - whoosh 2 hours of chat with minimum intervention/retrieving of toddlers required Grin. Is your new carpet down yet?Envy

LBM - snap and spooky.com! first time ever we had a murky brown bath scenario last week. If there had been an emergency red button in the bathroom my DH would have pressed it!

4ever - you were so almost famous in your youth weren't you Wink. How was your winter wonderland? We're going (sob) fake this year with our tree but it is big and bushy so I'm being persuaded... Decorations going up at 1500 hours on Sunday 11th Smile

Vjaymerrilyonhigh I shall be changing if you are Smile We went to i-pod a couple of years ago and I think you have to burn your CDs to your PC then drag and drop them onto your i-pod Hmm. Or you can spend a small fortune and buy them all again from i-tunes!

Buddha - Has AF turned up (the old boot)?

VJayazzle · 30/11/2011 18:52

What is loueys nephew called? I can't see it anywhere?????

barbie stay positive and carry on what you're doing because you're doing it well Smile Roll on the next two weeks, but chat away on here and let us know how you feel so we can help and STEP AWAY FROM GOOGLE!!!

blue I will change my name tomorrow, think I'll use last years name. As I type dh is moving my Christmas tunes to iPod, I'm about to be shown how to do it so I can do it myself next time, so need to look alert and interested Hmm
