Hmmm yes, think I might have had a tad of PMT too this week! Blush Smile Emotional? Bit hormonal? Borderline Psychotic?! Possibly! Grin Ahhhh well, tis a woman's prerogative, anyone who doesn't agree, beware!!!! Grin

Yummy brandy cream on warm mince pies, can't beat it!

BuddhaBelly · 24/11/2011 11:50

You can keep the mince pies (yuck) I'll have double brandy cream instead Wink
Women hormonal? Us? Never! Grin

cupcakefairy · 24/11/2011 13:24

Grin lol at Vjay delivering food into the madhouse...
Can I join the hormonal clan though?? I am sooo irritable and irational at the moment I do feel quite sorry for dh; I am flying off the handle at every little thing...even the fact that last night he suggested we wrap our secret santa presents rubbishly so nobody will guess it's from us (I usually go over the top make lots of effort with wrapping as I love it!) I had a huge go at him about how it's pretty much my favourite part of Christmas and there was no way he was taking that away Blush...his face was like this Shock hahaha!

Ooh can't wait for mince pies...I'll pass on the brandy butter though so you can have my dollop buddha Grin (ps sorry to hear back troubles still bad and bfns, booo) (and 4ever boo to af for you too, but also yay to pink bubbly and stuff Grin)

4everhopeful · 24/11/2011 13:30

4ever waddles back in rubbing full tummy with mouth over hand to hide the brandy cream fumes to thank Vjay and offer Buddha some stollen cake instead, or perhaps pannetone? Even better, how about rum truffles? Mmmmmm! Grin

Wonder why we oh so crave sweet yumminess when af is here? Hmm Off to wimbledon winter wonderland tonight, fireworks, parade, christmas lights turned on, and best of all christmas market - DH better have enough money on him to help satisfy my seriously sweettooth at the mo!!

4everhopeful · 24/11/2011 13:34

Ooh x post! Waves to cupcake! Grin Hormones a go go then?! Your poor Dh! You know the cure? Lets eat!!! Grin

Where's everyone gone?? Hmm

barbie1 · 27/11/2011 09:24

Hi gg, I'm here.... We had a mea busy weekend, ended up taking dolly to nisimi beach nightclub Shock
Sounds worse than it is, we went for Friday brunch with a rowdy group of friends, non of which have kids so we were a bit worried but dolly was a star! Best behaved ever, in fAct most of the couples were desperate to play with her and some even said they wanted kids after....brunch finished at 5 so we walked to the beach club at Atlantis and sat on the beach having sun downers while d danced for everyone Grin

Yesterday was another brunch, much more child friendly at one of the golf courses....s naturally I am pooped after a busy weekend!

How are you? Feeling any better?

Nursery run now, back for personals later x

GracieGirl · 27/11/2011 09:36

It's very quiet on here this weekend.

All my friends in real life seem to be having pregnancy problems. First a friend I house shared with at university had her 20 week scan last week and the baby's heart hasn't formed properly, she's been told her baby may only survive to a few months old. Sad She's now living in Australia and there isn't a hospital within 500miles that can do the operations required to give the baby a chance of surviving to adulthood. She's considering a termination and I'm finding it really hard to switch off my real feelings and be supportive (I'm silently screaming at her to come back to England- her family live about 30 miles from Great Ormond Street Hospital).
Then I got to work and the first phone call I got was from a colleague miscarrying at home, calling in sick and asking for advice on what she needs to do. Sad
Then came out of my office straight into another friend of mine who'd just received her nuchal fold/ blood test results as high risk for Downs. Sad She's 15 weeks pregnant and has been trying to conceive for 7 years.

It's all a bit shit really! Sad

GracieGirl · 27/11/2011 09:38

Hello Barbie!

I'm ok thanks, feeling fine now. My asthma is back to normal now. 19 weeks & 6 days pregnant.

4everhopeful · 27/11/2011 19:00

Too sad and awful for words gracie Sad

Today its 14yrs since my Dddbro died, church this morning, out for a meal with Dmum DD andDH tonight, well pissed now Grin lovely tho! Ugh! DH jusr wafting Summers pooey nappy under my nose! Thatsone way to sobrr up!!!!!!!!

GracieGirl · 27/11/2011 19:37

Hello 4ever, big hugs heading your way. Pooey nappies aren't good ways to sober up Confused naughty DH!!

littlebellsmum · 27/11/2011 23:57

Could be worse - I was in DD2's bedroom, emptying the present cupboard to find out if I ever need to buy a present again, whilst DD2 was in the bath. DS was in bathroom with her and I heard him saying "stand up jojo", "stand up, thats disgusting". "stand up theres poo in the bath" .
At which point I yelled for DH, who took one look in the bath and called me in - he's stood looking at her and the bath and going what should I do -answer dry her, whist I clean the bath, her toys and everything else within a 5 mile radious -barph central as it wasn't a solid one.
ds has been told that if he ever sees that again , he is to yell for us at the top of his voice !!

Sorry - really lowered the tone of the thread but thought that you all might find it entertaining......

GracieGirl · 28/11/2011 06:51

LBM Grin Grin we don't mind having the tone of the thread lowered at all! Grin I'm glad it's not just my DD who has the ability to spread poo so skilfully! Wink

4everhopeful · 28/11/2011 09:53

He he he! Been there too LBM! Had a bath with Summer a few wks back and as the water emptied out, I got out (thankfully) while she splashed around in the last drains of water and I dried off, just as all the water had gone, she squatted and I saw a wee puddle appear, I grabbed the jug and washed it away, no biggie, then she squats again and I hear the little poo strain grunt, look down and there's a neat little pile of poo! Shock Luckily it was solid so I scooped it up in tissue and chucked it down the loo before she had a chance to step or sit in it! Grin

cupcakefairy · 28/11/2011 15:28

Haha I'm glad we're back to our old ways of sharing poo stories! Friday night we were just about to leave for ILs (200+ mile trip) car all packed up just need to get ds into pyjamas... change his nappy and he wees everywhere which he hasn't done in FOREVER...get him into bathroom to wash his back and legs, then he wanders into hallway and poos all over carpet!! ShockShock first time he's ever done anything like that never even pooed in the bath! Delayed the trip somewhat...Grin turned out he had a dicky tummy as he then spent the rest of the weekend pooing on the hour!! Grin bless him.

Anyway...hello ladies!! Sorry I missed buddha's E's birthday hope he had a lovely time!

barbie sounds like you've been having fab weekend. We had quite a lovely one away too. Also v excited cos we cut a big branch off a birch tree at ILs to use as our Xmas tree...first time we've ever had one! We're gonna spray it white it will look so pretty!

gracie glad you're feeling better but :( to all the sadness. I'm bricking it slightly about my 20 week scan as it's 5 days before Christmas and just dreading bad news at the start of what should be a lovely 2 weeks away with all our families :(

buddha also forgot to say you are sooo lovely wanting to send us all Xmas cards bless you! I'll message my address :)

Hope all are ok :) I'm sat here in dressing gown ver clothes, freezing!!

barbie1 · 28/11/2011 15:59

Hi all,

Finally over the weekend...

4ever I'm sorry I missed your ddddb anniversary. Sounds like you celebrated his life in the best possible way, I hope you and your mum are both ok Smile I did smile at your dh sobering you up with the use of a dirty nappy!

What is it with poo this week???? Hmm dd has started to constantly have her fingers in her nappy, I have to keep telling her that's it's not appropriate in public! Yesterday I put her down for her nap and she shouted that she had done a poo so I ignored her went to check and she had indeed done a poo and wiped it over her pillow and duvet Shock thankfully it was a small amount but it added to the washing pile she is obsessed with poo poo and wee, and will come into the bath room, lift up our clothes and try to open our legs to see what we are doing!!!!

Open the plus side she potty trained herself today, took off her nappy, ran and got her potty and did a wee! 3 times today all by herself Smile

On the not so plus side she has finally realised she can get out of bed...1 hour to get her to sleep this evening Sad

It's my big scan tomorrow, bricking it to be honest. I hope the band is still far away and that the baby isn't small like the doctor is worrying about. 3.30 my time and will be back home around 5ish, so 1pm your time....eek!

Gracie, how bloody terrible for all those poor ladies Sad so so horrible...I'm glad you are feeling better though. Your pregnancy is going mega, mega fast!

How are you all? We are putting tree up n Thursday, dh has a day off due to public holiday and our tree takes about 4 hours to do....we have also booked swimming with dolphins for boxing day.

Right I'm off to eat x

GracieGirl · 28/11/2011 16:14

Cupcake yes I've been bricking it about my 20 week scan too, so much that I kept it a secret. Blush It was 3 hours ago! All is well! Yay! Grin 20 weeks today. We're getting another scan at 34 weeks just to make sure everything's still ok then the consultant will be happy for me to be midwife led care. Fingers crossed ready for your December scan.

Since we're still on poo stories.... We're potty training. Last week just before bath she was sat on the potty about to do a poo when she panicked (she still thinks she needs a nappy on to poo). She stood up, before I could catch her she ran across to the bin to try and get her old nappy out, when she couldn't she ran 2 loops of the bathroom pooing as she went. It went everywhere!!! All over her, stuck between her toes and spread over every inch of the bathroom. The funny thing was that by sheer chance a tiny blob happened to land in the potty. She was so proud that she'd poo'd in her potty. I hadn't the heart to tell her that it didn't really count if 99% of it was elsewhere!! Grin She even made me phone Daddy to tell him. Poor Daddy was driving down the M1 with DD shouting "Isabelle poo poo potty" down the phone at him. Grin

GracieGirl · 28/11/2011 16:18

Hello Barbie. Well done to Dolly for her potty training efforts, I hope it continues. Smile Swimming with dolphins on Boxing Day! Wow!

Here's my hand for your scan tomorrow.xx
