Here we are, it's getting chilly, the slanketsnare out. Were all here to support, laugh and cry with each other.

OP posts:
loueytb3 · 17/11/2011 11:03

Just checking in to say, I'm here and have been lurking. Not getting a lot of sleep at night (due to all 3 of them) and Oscar not sleeping a lot during the day either so my time is limited. Currently working through a huge pile of washing. If I get a chance later I will try and do a proper post. Love to you all.

VJayazzle · 17/11/2011 17:10

Hi another lurked here too. Been finding it tough lately with both of the jays. Were putting ajay into play group 2 mornings a week after Christmas to give me chance to do some study. I should then hopefully be less stressed and able to help cjay more as he's needing it at the mo.
I have been wondering what it would be like if we had more family support around, but I do think ajay in play group for a couple of sessions a week will help.
It has been very quiet on here lately, hope everyone is ok, bumps are blooming and toddlers toddling and mia ladies are smiling Smile

cupcakefairy · 17/11/2011 19:58

Just checking in too...the greenhouse is very quet at the mo...whose turn to get the hot chocs in?

Vjay sounds great about the playgroup sure Ajay will love it & everyone will benefit :)

barbie sorry night was bad but hope last night was better and tonight too. Will she nap in her bed then? That's the part that worries me more than bedtime as ds falls asleep instantly at bedtime and sleeps through but naps he often chatters away in his cot before going to sleep...worried with a bed he'd just get out.

louey sorry to hear you're having sleepless nights too Confused hope all your boys get into synch and give you a break!

buddha sorry to hear about dh work worries, always such a stress! Enjoy getting crafty though :)

Hoping everyone ok...pop in and say hello if you can...curly do you have your head in a sick bucket of sand?

Neeko · 17/11/2011 21:11

Hello. Another lurker here. Life is hectic here but I'm thinking of you all. Hopefully be back soon.
Huge congrats to QA

MummysLittleSunbeams · 17/11/2011 22:06

One more lurker to add to the list! Grin Dh has been in NY all week & I've been feeling quite rotten - not pregnancy-wise but just run-down, tired etc etc.

QA Fabulous news! Please come back, we need names, weight, birth details, tell us everything! Oh & did you do the pee test???!

Vjay another one here with no family nearby. My family are all 200 miles away & most of dh's are in Scotland. It means we have to rely on friends & neighbours more than I'd like but I'm quite glad I don't have nosey sil's popping over constantly!

Barbie hope you have a better night tonight & you are not laying on a mattress on the floor as I type this. Dd1 was two and a half when she went into a big bed & it never occurred to her that she could get out (it had a built in bed-rail) so she was pretty good. Hopefully your dd will be the same. Dd2 will only be about 17 months when we move her into her new room so we are buying a cot-bed & she'll be in it until she's at least 2 before we take the side off.

Cupcake if you buy ds a bed like this I'm sure he'll be wanting to go to bed & stay in bed every night!!

Well I went public with my news as I had my blood results yesterday, 1 in 230 chance of my baby having downs. I'm more than happy with that as I was 1 in 95 with dd2.

Waves to all the lovely Emmsy's, I'm off to bed now. I'm away to my parents tomorrow for the weekend so I'll be back next week.

VJayazzle · 17/11/2011 22:46

mls great results Smile what a relief for you!

cupcakefairy · 18/11/2011 12:16

MLS fab news about the results and going public, yay :) that bed is amazing GrinGrin sorry you've been feeling grotty...I know you say not pregnancy-related but it probably doesn't help! Have a lovely weekend at your parents.
We don't have family near either...well mine only 1.5 hour's drive away but dh's 4 hours. It's v hard! Did you have a nice neighbour to look after dd1 when you went into labour with dd2? Thankfully we have sil living v near us while at uni so hoping she'll have ds when the time comes!

Right I am off to try and finish knitting some mittens...first test one has come out wayy too big for ds so need to start again!! Grin Neeko I aim to try your cardigan again before this one arrives!

barbie1 · 18/11/2011 15:26

Mls, loved your fb status...so many of your friends seemed really surprised Grin, glad all your test come back good. Now here is for a relaxed and trouble free rest of pregnancy!!!!

Hello lurkers, seems to be a fair few of us at the moment. Dh and I have finally come around to the idea of Christmas as just spent a small fortune in pottery barn kids on personalised stockings for the kids, yes I was even brave enough to by one for a boy...although still not decided on names so couldn't get that one done. Least they have matching ones growing up. We have also started on the cards, we gave dolly a free reign with a pack of Christmas stickers from the elc and some pencils, I don't know where Im meant to fit the text or the addresses on some but she had fun! Grin

The bed is going fab 7 til 7 the last two nights, no attempt to get down until she shouts for us in the morning. Naps haven't been too good, like babycupcake she liked to play in the cot for 30 mins or so and have a moan now she wants to get it of bed. Is the weekend so we have cheated and she has fallen asleep in the car. I shall let you know how we get on next week.

No news back from the diabetes test, I'm hoping that I don't get the call saying have it.

Hope you are all good, and have a good weekend,

Oh and before I go anyone care to help with our name list?

Henry
Maximillion (max)
Monty
Teddy (sorry cupcake, I know you love this)
Edward
Ralph.
Albert (albie)

Other suggestions welcome, and first/ second name combinations welcome too...

Ta lovely ladies xx

VJayazzle · 18/11/2011 17:03

cupcake I got my nan to knit ajay some mittens and they're so cute, but Ive just asked her to knit some without the thumbs so he can still suck them!

Oh barbie need you ask Grin I'm voting for Ralphie all the way.

Off to get the boys some dinner.

4everhopeful · 18/11/2011 18:54

Gotta vote for Ralph too barbie! Smile Teddy has been our without a doubt decided and definite boys name since DH and I got together in 2005! We don't have any alternatives at all, if its a boy, its Teddy, mainly after one of DH football heroes! Know cupcake wanted it when pregnant with Jude but her DH vetoed it, wow we might end up with 3 Teddys on here one day then...!

Mls great results, and exciting for you to be going public!

Cupcake good luck with the knitting! I got Summers blanket out the other day when she had a late nap on the sofa and it just about covered her legs my long little lady!

Vjay big waves to you my lovely

Been lurking too, BFN today, mixture of relief tainted with disappointment, thought i had symptoms and veered between worry and excitement so almost slightly surprised for a BFN, though as said, 9wks over xmas wouldn't be good as that's when they usually die Sad Also spent last night panicing about it yet wierd to want it a teensy bit too Confused

To be honest still find it a bit hard too not be joining in all the pregnancy chat....

VJayazzle · 18/11/2011 19:03

Hi 4ever you will be joining the pg chat soon enough, I'm sure of it Smile

cupcakefairy · 18/11/2011 19:26

4ever know what you mean about mixed emotions but look at your post of a few days ago... you can now have a relaxed and worry-free Christmas. I guess testing time comes again just before Christmas for you but at least you wouldn't be in your danger zone then. Massive hugs to you I know it must be so hard xxx

barbie yes Teddy is my absolute favourite boy's name (apart from ds's now obviously Grin) but dh has vetoed it forever and ever amen so absolutely no need to apologise; I would be thrilled to have a cyber-nephew with that name :) Really really like all your choices actually, apart from Monty which slightly makes me think of a dog (sorry) You could have Edward, nn Teddy. (hehe, Dolly and Teddy is so cute! Grin) (I do know that's not her real name don't worry!) Albie is on my boy list for this lo, really like it. Eep, can't wait to hear what you pick :)

Vjay genius idea thumbless mittens!! Ds is a thumbsucker too. I may have to ask MIL to try some of those prob a bit advanced for me!

Happy weekend all!

VJayazzle · 18/11/2011 19:33

Im going to patent them, vjays thumbless mits

4everhopeful · 18/11/2011 22:44

Thanks vjay, and cupcake too... Think reading about Teddy as a name choice just hit me like a ton of bricks as during my albeit short pregnancy Sad there was a lot of chat between the whole family that this might of been 'our Teddy' Sad Reading cupcakes last post brought it all back too.. DH is very strong, but I told him and he visibly crumpled... Mad how things can set you off huh? Guess we're both a little sensitive... Half the manic christmas planning is partly down to the fact we know I should of been a blooming 7m on christmas day Sad

4everhopeful · 18/11/2011 23:02

Must add that barbie you weren't too know, there's no reason why you should remember my mentioning it before.. don't mean to put it on you in anyway.... Cupcake and I had discussed it more than once though, and think you knew what it means to us..? Its very hard as anyone that's shared edds that haven't materialised knows.... As I said, during my pregnancy with my last lost angel, we frequently referred to it as maybe finally being 'our Teddy' ...... Sad

barbie1 · 19/11/2011 09:01

Oh shit barbie puts her foot in it yet again Sad

4ever, I honestly had no idea you liked that name, I possibly skimmed over posts that you said about it in due to sleep deprivation at the time Blush and I only remembered cupcake mentioning it because at the time I thought 'please don't call a baby TEDDY!!!! Blush it's only now that we know it's a boy have I been listening to what other parents have called their boys that I have really giving it any thought. There is a teddy at playgroup, I think it has only grown on me because he is so Darn cute! In fact dh was the one who wrote it on our list. Would hate to cause you and your family any more heart ache so I'll take it off the list.

Well dolly did another night of 7 til 7 in her bed Smile and is currently napping up there as I type. 5 minutes of hair stroking and she was fast asleep.....

Also today she has removed every single nappy I put on her, earlier she came running out saying 'oh oh wee wee!' she showed me to the place she has wee'ed and it was in her.........

Bumble seat! Not quite the potty but she had obviously thought about what she was doing and sat down for it.

So this weekend potty training has started Hmm

Love to you all x

4everhopeful · 19/11/2011 09:36

Oh barbie darling you didn't put your foot in it at all cos how were you to know? If its a name choice you genuinely like then please don't change it on our behalf as its a name for life, and while id love to meet you one day, we are in a cyber bubble here.... Obviously initially reading your post hit me with all my 'what might have beens' but will still hopefully be 'what will be's', and of course we may not even have a boy, but yes, if we do Teddy it will be.... Totally mad with our surname of course, but as I said DH told me that's what he would want to call his son, before we even got engaged, so been in our heads a long long time.... Of course that's before we went through what we have, and sadly, theres been 5 possible Teddys since then... Sad However always holding onto the fact we have our Summer thank god! Smile

So, once again sweetheart, please don't feel bad for something that is our issue not yours... You've found yourself in awkward position and I well understand and feel awful that you are always conscious of my 'should of beens' on here, but just the fact you are entirely empathic to that is more than enough to aleviate things, honestly Xxxxxx

VJayazzle · 19/11/2011 10:34

This reminds me if when Ajay was born and we called him what we called him, it was only after that I found out that was the name my uncle had chosen for his three lost angels Sad, but I wasn't to know. Also the first two I lost we had picked out a name and middle name, when we were pg with Ajay we scrapped it, then my step sis only goes and names her ds those very names!!!
I was taken aback at first when she announced it but just shrugged it off, there was no way she could have known as we hadn't told anyone, it's just one of those things. Just goes to show we had good taste Wink

4everhopeful · 19/11/2011 13:32

Bless you Vjay that makes me feel better about my outpourings.... Had been feeling a bit Blush but you can't help how you feel can you?! Of course its madly unreasonable to not expect anyone else to name their LOs our choices (for the record, if the last one had been a girl she would of been Lily, and if we have another, still will be!) so am prepared to encounter that too, but yep, hearing Teddy just hit hard as was 6yrs in the planning, and really I'm still pretty raw after suffering yet another loss so recently..

littlebellsmum · 19/11/2011 19:53

Just to add to this theme - 2 weeks after my mc, my sil places my days old niece in my arms and tells me that this is jessica. Yup, exactly the name that we had thought of for our llo.

Now as she didn't even know I'd been pregnant, never mind has a MC or was even thinking about a third, she didn't know, it was just one of those things.

Didn't make it any easier though. Good advice to barbie though - you have to choose what you and dh like, barbie. There may be other names that upset others but you'll probably never know.

Feeling rubbish.com here - BB gave her dad and I a really nasty cold and then promptly got chicken pox. Loads of spots but not sick, just ultra wingey and tired, not great when you feel rubbish yourself.......

Ah well, will be bettter soon -or I'll do something unheard off and go to the doctors...

VJayazzle · 20/11/2011 07:31

Oh lbm poor bb and poor you, at least it's Sunday and you can slob around in your pjs if you wish. Hope the belle house feels better soon xx

cupcakefairy · 20/11/2011 15:22

Ah lbm pants about illness...but I suppose at least bb will have the pox out of the way, and good news she isn't sick (but I know whingyness can be just as bad!! Ds has had a bad case of whingyness while teething last week or so!!)

Oh 4ever bless you, seems you are always hit by one thing after another :( it is so hard to hear other people getting/possibly getting your dream but we all know it is going to happen for you and all this time and name discussion will seem nowhere near as significant (obviously not saying you will ever forget.) Massive hugs to you and you concentrate on making this the best Christmas ever for that special girl of yours.

barbi eek to starting potty training! Good luck!

littlebellsmum · 20/11/2011 22:07

vjay, yes, would have been nice to have had a pj day but instead, I spent 4 hours on a rubgy field with DD1 , followed by an hour at the park with all three. I did have to point out to DD1, that I thought mother and daughter time was supposed to be about shopping and eating cake, not cold wet fields!

I did feel much better at the time but now feel lousy again. But am now in front of the fire with the burner going to try and clear my head and am messing around on line - life isn't so bad!!

MummysLittleSunbeams · 21/11/2011 13:53

Barbie if you like the name you should definitely use it & as Cupcake says, Dolly & Teddy is so cute! 4ever said herself that it would be unreasonable to not use a name because someone else on here wants to use it too. It's not like we all live near each other & hang out together is it! I think my fave from your list is Ralf.

Dh keeps telling me that I'm having no say in the naming of dd3 Wink but is refusing to tell me any names he likes - they can be so bloody frustrating sometimes!

I'm torn between writing a Christmas list for dh (can't think of a thing I would like) & going for a sleep, I think the latter option sounds more tempting. Waves to everyone, ta-raa.

barbie1 · 21/11/2011 15:05

Hello,

Lbm, yuk all that sickness sounds horrible Sad I hope it looks to be coming to an end now. Have you booked flights for feb to come back to the sandpit yet???

Mls, yes go for a nap woman! If you have the time and are child free is the only thing to be doing. Dolly has finally gone to one nap a day and it's increased from 45 mins to around the two hour mark...I love it!!! I normally collapse on the bed and snooze Grin

Still very undecided on names, dh is really against Ralph. He thinks most people will say Rolf therefore it's a no no Sad oh well still 10 more weeks to decide.

Dh called just now to say he had been in a car crash Shock he was due to go up the burj Kalifa after all the top bosses had a huge conference in which he did a presentation. However on the drive there someone slammed into the back of him, and in the next lane was a work colleague who was also hit by a separate car!!!! Thankfully he is fine and is now on the way to the armarni hotel for dinner Envy

Hope all the emmsy's are ok, I'm here all evening if anyone is about x
