YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS princessesmummy yessssssssss!!!! This is fantastic news HUGE CONGRATS!!! [hgrin] hopefully this is the start of many more to come :)

deaf if implantation occurs then this would happen between 5 and 10dpo (sometimes later) so yes a few drinks would not harm - even after implantation, the placenta has not yet formed so nothing that is entering your body at this point is actually affecting the embryo so as long as you don't go crazy then you should be fine; i had a friend who was away and completely oblivious about any of this or the fact that she was indeed pg and she was drinking fairly heavily every night - she is due to bring the LO into this world in January!!!

So kitchen these pains (and now pain in my back opposite the pain in my abdomen) could indeed be ov!?! i don't want to get too excited because i have been here so many times before and each time i get let down by my body!!

If all fails this month, I too might invest in a CBFM, it might just be worth it!! Something has got to give!!!

GTR2882 · 26/10/2011 08:45

Welcome home back berries hope you had a good time, so sorry that you have BFN, maybe try again in a couple of days if no AF.

Doc was really helpful and despite the fact that I am on CD75 and still no AF and BFNs, i think i maybe ov'ing today and have some bloodtests pencilled in for 10th November (think i am due on 7th so if AF is still a no show and I am not pg then hopefully the bloods will reveal something!!)

iloveberries · 26/10/2011 09:28

no - i have had AF too - arrived in earnest whilst away so onto the next month!

so glad doc was helpful, keep us posted x

BustAMove · 26/10/2011 09:47

congrats princess, thank god some good news! and sorry to hear about your BFN ilove. I think this sounds like ov GTR, no idea about temping, sorry, but just physical symtoms sound v promising. I also found my nipples v sensitive at ov, don't know if that's another symptom you could look out for.

Well, went to pick up my parcel at post office, and wasn't my pregnancy tests, was a boring letter that needed a signature. So, still waiting for the tests, but on the up side is preventing me from testing too early.

louloubellamozzarella · 26/10/2011 09:57

Hi berries hope you had a nice time away?? Impressed by your SWI efforts - good practise for next month eh? :) Setting up a CBFM thread sounds like a good plan, want to make sure I'm using it right as I need to start understanding my cycles better for my own sanity! (although it still hasn't arrived, grr!)

Big congrats princess - updated the list below. Two of us now successful - there must be more out there!!

GTR ov pains - woohoo! What you say sounds right to me. I had them not last cycle but the couple before then and they were like that. Hope you're having fun with your ov sticks [hgrin]

I just wanted to run something by you all to get some opinions... I thought my AF arrived last Thurs as woke up to some bleeding....it was a fair amount but abruptly stopped then just had spotting till Sat morning when a constant flow started. So.. would you say that my first cycle day this month was Thurs or Sat? I am erring towards Sat as it definitely wasn't a 'proper' AF till then. Also this would mean that my cycle has evened out to 28 days for the first time ever and that I will be home for ov time. Let me know what you think!!

Oh and deafworm my approach is to enjoy yourself and don't get too wasted :) Maybe try to swap ever other drink for a soft drink? But don't get too hung up on things or beat yourself up for having one glass of vino too many - as GTR said, so many women drink when they don't realise they are pregnant, the important thing is to limit it if you can. And getting stressed could be worse for you than a couple of units of alcohol.

Liliana1 · 26/10/2011 11:09

I agree deafworm a few definately won't hurt you or baby and how many people have you seen that get pg due to a few drinks?!? (obviously not on here sadly but it seems to work for many teens)

Big congrats princessmummy hope all goes well and that lots of us join you on the pg boards soon. Also what are they like? Do they have buses too? Guess I could pop over and see but it would seem like I was jinxing it to go there too soon.

Those that are testing there were several ladies a few months ago that had no AF and continued BFN's who actually were pg, it just took them longer to get the hormones in a high enough quantity to register on the test. FMU is definately the most likely to give you a positive response.

GTR2882 · 26/10/2011 11:46

oooh Busta yes my nips are sore as well!! more than ever!! :)

Just been to check CP, it's not high though :( it is kind of squishy though. Will SWI again tonight just to make sure! Just so tired, think it's a combination of up early for work, late in from work and....erm....yes, actually doing work!! [hgrin]

Deafworm · 26/10/2011 12:22

See I knew you would sort my conscience out! Though liliana if I get pg after a few questions will be asked as dh isn't coming! It's slightly ironic really as I was 25 weeks before I found out I was pg with my first as we had given up trying and were saving for Ivf and I dread to think how much I'd drunk in that time!

Congratulations princessesmummy hope some of us will join you soon

blonderedhead · 26/10/2011 12:49

I'm out.

Horrid end to a horrible month. At least I can make my blood test appt now, although I don't know if I should make it later than 23 days given the length of this cycle.

V happy to hear your news Princess and good luck to the rest of you. Anyone who doesn't make it, see you on the next bus.

Geronimoooooooooo...

Maisie55 · 26/10/2011 14:19

Princess!!!! Finally some good news!! Massive congratulations, thats fantastic. Heres's hoping the good luck rubs off on some more of us!

GTR sounds promising! Get in there with the SWI just in case.

I have noticed some EWCM since Sunday, managed to SWI sunday and monday but not yesterday, will do again tonight, do you think this is covering all bases?!?! Should I just carry on until the EWCM is gone? AM CD24 of potential 39 day cycle so it could be that ov is imminent - desperately crossing fingers!!

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 14:23

Aww so sorry blonde and berries Sad

CONGRATSSSSSSSS to you princess!! How exciting! I think I might pee my pants if I ever get a BFP.

I'm about to do another OPK as it will have been 24 hours since the positive test yesterday coming up here in about an hour. Would not be able to do another AI until tonight, so if it's negative then there's no point I think? As doesn't the egg only live 12-24 hours so should be gone by this point (or fertilized!?!!?! Grin)

DeeLite · 26/10/2011 14:26

Congratulations Princessmummy. That's such wonderful news at long last. Hopefully there's a domino effect and we get lots of BFPs rolling in now.

GTTR I concluded from my research that ovulation happened sometime in the day before the temp rise. Ovulation triggers progesterone which triggers temp rise, I think. Good luck.

Sorry to hear you're out oggy and blonderedhead. On the plus side, we'll all be together on the next bus / plane as my AF has arrived today with a vengeance after a few mysterious days of absence and about seven hopeful POAS [hblush]. I really thought this month was my month for lots of reasons but not least because my cycles are like clockwork and AF was late; we had well-timed SWI every night for a week before ovulation and I had loads of "symptoms" - gah, what a plonker.

BustAMove · 26/10/2011 14:44

AHHHHH!! went out and bought a FR, as obviously I just can't wait, and it was a BFN. Feel completely gutted. I'm offically 5 days before AF due, but think I'm really due on Fri, so only 3 days. I know in my heart of hearts it would show up positive now if I was. Also, I have been feeling so pregnant, do you think when you're trying your body knows, and so bumps up the hormones to try and make an egg stick?? I don't know feel confused. Anyway, hanging around until someone makes another bus. Plus desperate to see all the BFP, and give us all some hope.

GTR2882 · 26/10/2011 14:44

fish the egg releases after 12-24 hours and then it just sort of floats about for a while waiting for the spermies!! I'd say give AI one more shot tonight just to make sure [hgrin]

nearlymumofone · 26/10/2011 14:44

Congrats princesses, were you ttc for long? So who's next? who's next??

Sorry to hear that AF has caught blonde and berrries I'm just willing her to arrive today, the longer it goes on without her here, the more half of me clings to the fact that despite all the (4) BFNs, and the pre-period spots and AF cramps, I could be pg. Even though my sensible side knows I'm not. Af just come adn get me!!!!!

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 14:48

GTR LOL at 'floats about' - I have a lovely image of a teeny pinhead egg floating around in the tropical seas of my womb [hgrin]

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 14:50

Oh pants Dee, was hoping for you.

I want some type of stats message that shows when we're all testing so I can know who to annoy keep tabs on!

GTR2882 · 26/10/2011 14:59

busta - we are all moving together, so when this thread gets full we are just all going across to the new one!! As for your BFN, it may just be too early to test, you would be 10 or 11 dpo?? I would test again Friday :)

BustAMove · 26/10/2011 15:02

thanks GTR. I, of course, did the second one in the pack (why, oh, why???), just in case the first was some bizarre fluke. Turns out it wasn't. I'll be over it in a few days, just pissed off at the mo. Glad we'll all move over together!

BoogiesBunny · 26/10/2011 15:06

Congratulations princess I am so happy for you!!!!! It is great to get some fantastic news on this thread! Come on number 3!!! There is another little life germinating somewhere on here!

I got rather weepy in a meeting this morning - one of my colleagues is about to go on maternity leave and is looking very beautiful and pregnant. What I kept thinking is that her eldest is 18months and she jokes about the irony of being bad at family planning (we work for an international development org who talk about that a lot!) - but I just kept thinking that I am trying everything to have my first baby and not succeeding but it happened so easily for her. I'm not feeling bad towards her at all, it just compounded my sense of hurt I guess. So feeling rather blue... but I may be coming down with the lurgy too so that may be the cause!

DeeLite · 26/10/2011 15:22

Oh, poor you, Boogiesbunny. As far as I know, we are super-fertile in the year after childbirth so it may not have been as easy for her first time round. Hopefully this is your month and you'll be pg with No. 2 in a year's time and complaining about your own poor family planning!

Busta that definitely sounds too early even if AF is due on Friday. Read the stats on the box and they'll make you feel better. I think they only detect pregnancy in about 25% of persons testing at your stage. Fx you're in the majority of pregnancies that wouldn't be detected this early.

Fishpants · 26/10/2011 15:35

Well now I'm thoroughly confused. Did another OPK, it is not quite as dark as the one 24 hours ago, but much darker than the one 12 hours ago? Confused

What could this mean? Other than my cycle wants to have a good laugh at me. Sad

BustAMove · 26/10/2011 15:53

thanks dee, that has made me feel a bit better. Of course, have thrown away the box in a fit of rage, but will look at stats on line.

nearlymumofone · 26/10/2011 16:31

boogie yes that kind of thing is tough.

Dee oh I wish I'd have known that about being super-fertile in year after giving birth- I wouldn't have waited bang on a year from when ds was born to start ttc#2.

Af just came and got me. So I'm officially out. It's a relief to be honest.

I'm getting super-stressed adn obsessed about the whole thing already. I need to chill out as I know being stresssed isn't helping. But I don't know how to chill out about it.
