ha ha. I'm such a wally. Anyone else noticed I'd been putting [sceptical] when I wanted to put Hmm????

nearlymumofone · 24/10/2011 22:06

oh, and what I actually came on here to say was. In an attempt to cheer us up (I think we need it at the minute, I know some are feeling pretty deflated), I have started a thread on the pregnancy board asking how long it has taken people to conceive. There's a real mix bag on there- but the fact is they all got there in the end. Have a look at the thread. It might make you feel better (kinda worked for me). Smile

Ilanthe · 24/10/2011 22:18

Hello all - been away for a while because madly busy with work and when not working and spending time with DS, SWIing!

We have done it EOD since CD7 and I'm now on CD18. One more crack at it tomorrow (DS was conceived on CD19, but I had longer cycles, I think, as I'd just come off the pill) and then I'm putting my feet up for a couple of weeks. It's hard work and not at all conducive to good sex. Ah well.

I have no idea when I ovulated if at all - perhaps about this time last week. I had EWCMish then but it wasn't very stretchy.

I am SSing a bit already - I have sore boobs, but I'm wearing a new bra which actually fits so it might just be that they are unused to the decent support Grin.

I'm testing on 2nd November. I've got to have an answer by the 7th as I have a hystoroscopy booked that day to rule out anything else but cervical erosion for my spotting either side of my period - I was told by the gynae not to stop TTC but to cancel if I got a BFP.

Good luck to everyone waiting to test and here's hoping for some BFPs this week and next!

blonderedhead · 25/10/2011 00:38

Thanks nearly, I really enjoyed the thread.

Still no AF at the end of CD37 but little spotting when I wipe. Much brighter pink than usual AF-heraldry but I guess I will find out in the morning if it is or not.

Just turned to dh and said, wouldn't it be nice if we won a baby! Fortunately he is asleep. It does feel a bit like that though. Roll up, roll up.

GTR2882 · 25/10/2011 06:03

Oh blonde hope AF has stayed well away and the spotting was perhaps just a bit of breakthrough bleeding!!

Fx'd Ilanthe that you don't need that appoinnent [hsmile]

Good luck to all you testers - hope we see some BFPs here soon!!

Has anyone else used the CB Digi Ov kits? I have to pee on them in the morning because you need to hold your pee for 4 hours and there's no way I can achieve that in normal waking hours!!! I thought though, that LH was stronger between 10:00am and 8:00pm. I've never even got a hint of a surge on these things!!! If AF is due on 7th November, and depending on my LP, I'd be gearing up to ov pretty soon, right!?! Nipples still extremely tender, night off SWI tonight as well do I can obsesss concentrate on other aspects of TTC [hgrin]

Notinmykitchen · 25/10/2011 07:18

Well thats me out, as predicted AF arrived this morning. Sad I give up!!

oggy24 · 25/10/2011 07:41

I am liking the amount of SS going on here ladies!

Unfortunately, I have had zero. I am now on CD 26 of a usual 23 day cycle. I am going to POAS in a bit but hold very little hope. AF crampys are around the corner but I want to stop myself fantasising! Either way, it is good news as it might mean that me losing a little weight is extending my cycle a bit [hsmile] .

I will let you all know the outcome and cry to you when it doesn't turn out the way I wanted

nearlymumofone · 25/10/2011 08:16

Notinmy big hug to you. Sorry to here AF arrived. I'll be joining you today or tmr. I have my brand new shiny CBFM to get cracking on!!!!!

GTR sorry don't know anything about Ov sticks. When I used them ttc~1 I never got a hint of a line, but I still got the baby. So don't know what to advise, only to say you can still get pg!! Smile fx.

ogg and blonde fx for you. come on girls, we need some good news!! Smile

Morning again! Wow busy in here this am.

Seems like we're all going a bit stir crazy in the 2WW/not knowing what the hell's going on wait period. Hang on in there ladies!

GTR I know what you mean about never expecting to even get a BFP - but all these babies around tell me it must be possible! I've been thinking, maybe we should try some goal visualisation a la sports psychology to increase our chances?! I'm visualising the little spermies racing towards the golden egg in slow mo and one getting to the target in time resulting in a spangly glowing fertilised egg... :)

Oh and wrt the sticks, I haven't used those just the cheapies...from what I've heard you should use them after 10am yes as the hormones you're looking for don't peak till after then -but I'd go with whatever the instructions say. That's prob no help whatsoever!

nearly my CBFM has not arrived yet!! Hope it comes soon so I can get testing. Do the instructions in your say when to start testing? Hope I'm not too late!!

Typically, the ov calculator says I will be oving over this weekend. I'm away from DP most of the weekend on a trip abroad that's been planned for aaaages. Arrgh! I hope the CBFM tells me what I think is going on - that I have a short LP. I'll definitely be SWI up to the wire before I go and as soon as I get back - really hope I don't miss out again this month :( stupid holidays!
On the plus side, I'm heading to 30 degrees and sunshine which can only do me some good right? My big dark eye bags, bloated AF tummy and teenage spotty skin are in agreement I think (mmm I'm painting an attractive image of myself!)

Commiserations to those whose AF is imminent/arrived but stick around and we can transfer this thread onto a July/August flight when it comes to an end [hgrin]

Deafworm · 25/10/2011 09:38

Hi mama5 it's early days though we will get lots of bfps I'm sure.

I've given myself the same deadline but not sure if I will be able to stick to it. This is definitely our last child so I don't want to obsess over it forever but want to give it a fair chance

GTR2882 · 25/10/2011 09:39

Mama5 glad you are settled and really hope you don't have to bow out in December :( It will happen!!!!!

Kitchen damn that hag whore - i am seriously not impressed with that cackling pock faced hag flying around and ruining all our fun!! She needs to be taken down peg or two or three, or four we desperately need some good news soon!!!

oggy have you POAS yet?? Please let it be good news :)

Nearly glad to know that you can get negatives and still get pg! maybe my morning wee has not got enough of the LH to be detected!!!

blonderedhead · 25/10/2011 10:11

CD 38. Still no AF, still BFN. This is what happened last month but she turned up in the end (obvs). I suppose it's only 2 days longer than last month's cycle, which was 6 days longer than the one before it. If she would turn up at least I could get my blood test booked in.

Temp up this morning but think that may be related to throat being a bit sore. Tired and grumpy, what a lovely colleague I will make today.

MrsSharp · 25/10/2011 12:30

Sorry that so many people are getting a bit fed up with things at the mo #majorunderstatement ! TTC really is such a tough path. I really hope things get better for everyone.

I'm on CD24 of a 26-29 day cycle. Have been having funny twinges in my RHS for about 8 days now, which is making me feel quite positive. But then again.......it could all come to nothing.

Last time I was pg, I waited until I was 5 days late before POAS, so before I even stopped peeing on it, it already told me I was pg! This time, AF is due over the weekend, and we're away with friends on Saturday night. So I really need to test on Saturday morning. I don't want to do it before, because I want DH to be there.

I am so looking forward to being pg again (this month, next month, next year)...last time was tricky. Some family members took the news badly (everything is fine now), but it put such a horrible cloud over the whole pregnancy that I never got truly excited about it. I really hope that if/when it happens again, we get to be giddy.

Have a good day everyone.

Ilanthe · 25/10/2011 13:30

Welcome MrsSharp and good luck on Saturday.

I had my pre-op appointment for my hystoroscopy this morning. They did a test and it was BFN, which was not surprising given I'm probably no more than 7DPO. They were relaxed about me cancelling if I get a BFP next week.

The good news is they're going to do the cervical cautery at the same time so my erosion will be sorted.

The bad news is, that if I don't get a BFP this month, and have the op, then I can't have sex afterwards for 6 weeks to avoid infection, which is going to knock me onto an October bus at the earliest. DH was very disappointed when I told him. He has been spoilt by DS being conceived 6 weeks after me coming off the pill and I think he expects it all to just be as easy this time. Pregnancy took quite a physical toll on me though, so I hold out no hope that I'm going to get updiffed with the minimum of fuss.

Liliana1 · 25/10/2011 15:08

Just checking in to see if we have had any BFP's yet, fx blonde and sorry to those that the witch has got.

We are about to start SWI but agree with those that are saying they can't believe they will ever get a BFP - I've had so many negatives I'll have to use a whole packet of internet cheapies and several CB digital before I'll believe it!

Hope things go well for you Ilanthe a couple months isn't the end of the world if it does come to that and at least it will all be sorted and not hanging over your head. I had LOTS of abnormal smears and calposcopys (sp?) so that put our ttc on hold for about 3 years! FX you get a BFP next week though.

GTR2882 · 25/10/2011 15:20

I have just bought 50 internet cheapies - no stopping me now [crazy emoticon]

oggy24 · 25/10/2011 16:12

Well ladies... as expected BFN :(

Though I am thinking on the positive side and hoping that my cycles may start to get a little longer.

Fx for the rest of you! I'm sad that I'm not the one to start a run of BFP's but someone has to!!

nearlymumofone · 25/10/2011 16:32

Hey all.

I haven't even bothered to poas today. I have af cramps and severe back ache, I know she'll be here any minute, or tmr, so I really don't want to poas just to see the one line staring back at me.

I just have a feeling though that one of us is gonna get a BFP really soon though! Exciting!!!

MrsSn it's sounding pretty positive your end!!

blonderedhead · 25/10/2011 16:42

Sorry for your bfn oggy, still no news this end although spotting continued so expect AF has just been biding her time. I guess stress really must have an effect on cycles, there is no other explanation for why mine have got longer and longer, other than the theory that a watched pot never boils...

BustAMove · 25/10/2011 16:54

sorry for all these BFN. I have now also bought internet cheapies, but only 15, am now v jealous of your 50 GTR! unfortunately was out today, and parcel has been delivered to the post office, I say unfortunately, but to be honest was a blessing in disguise. Delays the obsessive testing for 24 hours. I'm sure I won't be able to resist, and I'm not even due til sunday!

nearlymumofone · 25/10/2011 16:58

blonde when ttc#1 my regular cycles went completely haywire. Completely all over the place. Must be stress I think.

Oggy you still may be the one to start the run of BFPs... it's got to be someone! A BFN can become a BFP remember. I've lost track when's af due?

Lou I think with CBFM you need to start before cd6 at latest. There's a downloadable instruction sheet which you could read before it arrives so that when it arrives you can just switch it on and go!!

nearlymumofone · 25/10/2011 17:00

GTR I love your 50 internet cheapies!!!!! I thought my 15 was a lot!!! Having said that I've already used 3!!! I'll be buying some more very shortly I think (maybe 50 next time!!!!).

OK. I have sore boobs and back (as well as AF pains). So, if I'm on the same flight as anyone next month and I say I have these symptoms... remind me that I had them this month too, and it didn't mean I was pg!!!!
