New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:

oh minesa, what a terrible, horrible shame... I remember your blooming in-laws in their cozzies at the nudist beach- fools. I hope you are very pregnant and not-so-svelte in a bump-like way by the end of the year. Good luck and happy rat smacking (once you feel ready) to you!

Pillowgate? I can't watch that programme, makes me feel panicky. I agree, birth is pretty bloody awful ( I didn't have a good one so I'm prejudiced) bt it's only one day. Pregnancy is way longer to endure the suffering!! As you will all find out very very soon, or experience again, very vey soon.

looopy, i shall save the cleaner argument til nearer the D Date or after the twins arrive hopefully both safe and well and not prem

scarletfingernail · 06/10/2011 17:12

The irony of her name being "Joy" was not lost on me when I watched it. It's the way she looks so thoroughly pissed off at her DH all the time that amused me.

Solars · 06/10/2011 17:40

I've just been reading back on yesterdays posts that I missed and just wanted to say hope you're ok Late, brooking no argument for you for saturday. Any symptoms by the way?

On the talk of other threads, I have barely enough time to keep up with this one but may have to check out some of the more exciting ones you mention.

My DH has actually asked me in the past if I wanted cleaner and I said no and it's not because i'm fussy or a total control freak it's just the two of us so we can manage at the moment, i'm sure that will change once a baby comes along.

scarletfingernail · 06/10/2011 17:51

I would love a cleaner, but sadly can't justify it now I'm SAHM. I absolutely loathe housework, there is always something more interesting to do, even ironing. If and when I go back to work I reckon I'll be able to persuade DH. I do really like the thought of having someone in to deep clean the whole house as a one off for a Christmas or birthday present, he might agree to that.

I do pay someone to clean the oven a couple of times a year. Life really is too short to do that. (Although have a good excuse now I'm pg again).

Biscuitsandtea · 06/10/2011 18:08

I'm the same re cleaning Scarlet! I hate it but can't justify a cleaner since that is my 'job'! I'd rather do anything else and there is always something better to do!

Still think we might have one near the end of the pg and while baby biscuit is small.

BartletForAmerica · 06/10/2011 18:10

I think we might get a cleaner sometime soon. I am just shattered at the moment and not getting a huge amount done. My DH is great at catching up with the housework in the evening, but I do quite like spending time with time so it would be nice if we could have time together, even if I am throwing up.

Mines you've convinced me, but it's not me that needs convincing! Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 06/10/2011 18:41

I wonder if I should admit now that DH was all for getting a cleaner yesterday - when I suggested getting one next year, he thought we should get one now! I did feel that that might be a bit lazy on my part though since DS is in nursery two days a week Blush. I do have a LOT of ironing to do in that time though and supermarket visits and various other bits and bobs......

Biscuitsandtea · 06/10/2011 18:46

Maybe a cleaner would be able to help me find my flipping house keys!!!!

Solars · 06/10/2011 18:58

Ok I'm trying out a link which I think you may find interesting

how could she not know

Biscuitsandtea · 06/10/2011 19:03

Blimey oh Riley!!!!!!! Shock

Imagine having a 23 year age gap too Shock

Biscuitsandtea · 06/10/2011 19:03

Good linking too Solars Smile

Solars · 06/10/2011 19:06

I'm so chuffed the link has worked, is that a pregnancy symptom by the way??

Biscuits & Scarlet you so deserve your cleaners, I'm brooking for you both :)

scarletfingernail · 06/10/2011 19:16

Solars Shock I can't believe that woman didn't know what was happening after having 2 children already.

Thanks for the brooking, but I fear it's wasted on me. There is no way DH will agree to me having a cleaner.

dreamfeeder · 06/10/2011 19:20

lol, we could start a whole thread on cleaners

TheLittleFriend · 06/10/2011 19:37

Minesa I'm so very sorry to hear your news. We won't dwell though, I'm sure you have been through the mill the past few weeks enough. Here's to a happy, baby filled future for everyone on this thread. Wine cheers all

Oh wow how could she not know?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 06/10/2011 21:19

Just popping in briefly to say I definitely remember Mines and I'm so very sorry to hear your sad news. Sending lots of hugs your way. Hope you feel more positive soon, and the next BFP pops up asap!

P.s at the moment my DH spends much more time at home than I do (he only works part-time) so we can't justify the cost of a cleaner but he never cleans unless I nag him! It's stressful for us both, sigh.

DizzyKipper · 07/10/2011 06:29

Just popping in quickly to say THANKYOU to everyone who gave my ovaries a good telling off yesterday, I think they finally got the message and got off their lazy arses (or whatever it is ovaries have) to produce an egg. Temp this morning was 36.59, now I'm brooking that it will in fact stay as high and even rise!
