New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:
DizzyKipper · 04/10/2011 18:19

Damn, all that time taken to catch up you all were still busy typing Grin

Baby that traffic sounds awful, can sympathise with the getting in and yet having to do more stuff. Good on you for getting on and doing it though rather than being tempted by the bed to sleep.

Biscuitsandtea · 04/10/2011 18:22

Good on you for brooking Dizzy - positive people get positive pee sticks remember!

I have indeed had my 12 week scan and all was well. Downs risk thing came back as low (although I didn't get a number score like everyone else does, but I really couldn't ask for more)

Also, mean to say earlier (during my faux fertility boasting) that I am so Sad for Scrambled - bog off AF - do you hear me? Away with you and don't come back Angry

Take the time you need Scrambled - we'll be brooking for you in your absence - and will welcome you back when you're feeling better and bring us baked goods xx

DizzyKipper · 04/10/2011 18:25

Glad the scan results were good Smile. Do you know why you didn't get a score like everyone else?

Biscuitsandtea · 04/10/2011 18:44

Not really no, I'm assuming it must just be a pct thing? I have a vague recollection I never got a number last time. Will ask my mw when I see her next week and see what she says. I think if it is low then it must be lower than 1 in 250 so they don't offer amnio or cvs, but that'll do me.

I'll be interested to see what Scarlet gets in the way of a information as she is the same county I think.....

DizzyKipper · 04/10/2011 18:44

Ok just been googling and apparently it can sometimes take 2-3 days after you've ovulated for your temperature to rise, it has to do with progesterone build up in your body. So hopefully I have in fact ov'ed and progesterone is just taking a little longer to build up.

BabySade · 04/10/2011 18:54

Welcome back Dizzy Smile

Luckily im only on day 3 so no need to DTD yet unless of course I just feel like it Wink

I've just been on Facebook the root of all evil one of my ex students status is asking how long she needs to take folic acid for. God that has really annoyed me. Firstly try reading the bottle or ask your midwife or google it. In my opinion that's just a way of getting more attention in case anyone missed her 12 week scan photo Angry

DizzyKipper · 04/10/2011 18:57

pfft yes I can see how that's frustrating Baby, definitely a bid for attention rather than trying to acquire knowledge - if she can use facebook she can surely use google!

DizzyKipper · 04/10/2011 18:58

Also thankyou for the welcome back Smile Making the most of tonight as I don't know when I'll be back online for so long.

Imps7 · 04/10/2011 19:18

Hello Dizzy! Nice to catch up with you! Speaking of which (although not really) has anyone seen Golden recently? Hope things are good Golden if you're out there. And Maybe too - if you're lurking. Really hope you're okay and not putting up with any crap from that shitty boss of yours.

Still having big ol' blobs of brown CM - I imagine that AF will be in full flow by tomorrow. Bit disappointing but onwards and upwards! It's funny because back in Dec last year when OH and I decided that we'd start trying in January I in my incredibly naive state figured that I'd prob be giving birth in September or October! Time has flown so quickly though and TBH a pregnancy and baby would have been a little inconvenient for the last 9 months - we've had a lot to do on the house and have had a lot of fun so I can't really ask for much more than that.

Bring on a July baby, I say. They're the best: I'm one!

NinjaChipmunk · 04/10/2011 20:03

imps sorry to hear af may be on the way. Lets hope she stays away for you.

dizzy I thought Tinker Tailor was brilliant, but its not fast paced and it does have a quite a complex plot (lots of central characters) so if you like that sort of thing you'll love it and it has an excellent cast - Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Kathy Burke etc etc

CD 12 here, shagathon in progress, not much else to report!

Biscuitsandtea · 04/10/2011 20:20

Ah imps I know that feeling - I remember last march (like 2010) actually thinking, 'hmm wouldn't be too bothered if I don't get pg this mth as a dec birthday wouldn't be ideal'. Ideal - who was I kidding! I kicked myself for thinking that every month after when still nothing happened!

Not of course that that is going to happen to you - I appreciate that this isn't a very encouraging story, but I do know what you mean about thinking you'd be pregnant by this point, then that point etc.

I also remember about last June a girl at work saying 'oh you'll be pg by Christmas' (when I was moaning nothing had happened for 6 mths) and thinking 'I should bloody hope so! It won't take me that long Shock. Hmmmm again I was proved wrong.

Anyway, this is not what's happening to you - you're going to get there because you are BROOKING. I wasn't brooking until June this year and look what happened - an instant bfp, so Brooking works - it is scientifically proven

I'm going to take my disheartening stories away now and lock them in a cupboard and then bash myself over the head with a lamp like Dobby Sad.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 04/10/2011 21:02

Noooo Imps! I'm bally well (that's for you Biscuits Wink) not having it, d'you hear? There have been too many visits by that AF witch recently and we should collectively slam that door in her face before she gets her foot wedged in it Angry

P-Tracker says I am now 5 days late, and I have no symptoms of anything. I'm feeling really funny about testing... I know I have my test-when-you're-a-week-late policy, but I wonder if I'm kind of putting it off now, a kind of ignorance is bliss? Confused

Biscuitsandtea · 04/10/2011 21:18

Oooh Late - I'm bally well brooking for you. I also had a 'week late' testing policy but then thought I might have ov'd late the cycle I 'caught' so wasn't sure when to test.

AF ended up being due between a Wednesday (by usual cycle length) and the following Monday (by usual LP) so I tested on the Monday in the end (so not even a week late Blush). I sort of stuck to my policy but got caught up in it all (by the other buggers on here who were a bad influence on me Wink)

Anyway, that's all irrelevant - we're here for you whether you want to to test or wait. I'm brooking for you either way Smile

dreamfeeder · 04/10/2011 21:30

Oh, late, I can sense some HCG....

NinjaChipmunk · 04/10/2011 21:49

oh late how exciting.......

Imps7 · 04/10/2011 21:52

There's an imminent BFP from you Late I can feel it in my waters! Take a deep breath and pee on that stick.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 04/10/2011 22:42

I'll do it on Sat I think, my head is in a funny place about all this and I don't want to have to go & do a work knowing the result, whichever one it is. DH & I both quietly think I'm updiffed - but the other one started off just like this, (no symptoms, no signs at all) and it was horrible when it ended. I think I was hoping that one that's going to go the distance might feel different right from the word go iykwim... I'm usually very pragmatic & sensible about things & I'm quite surprised at how I've found myself reacting to all this - I only had my erpc on 2 Aug, which doesn't seem that long ago at all really...

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 06:27

I totally get that Late -it messes with your head whichever result you get, and I know on bfp day I did literally nothing I was in such a pickle. If it's a positive it will still be so on Saturday, and we'll be here for you either way.

I'm brooking like a maniac until then though , natch Smile

Imps7 · 05/10/2011 07:22

Good morning rat smackers!

Oh it must be so hard Late - totally agree that it's best to avoid a work day for testing. We're here for hand holding.

I think that AF must be coming today - temps are slowly coming down (see [[http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Imps7 here if you've nothing better to do!) and sore boobs have disappeared (which is no bad thing tbh). Never mind, time to start planning this month's SWI - I think Ov will be on Sunday 23 Oct which is good - weekends are always better for SWI purposes.

Pleased that Jo won Great British Bake Off yesterday - am glad pleased that Holly didn't - she really rubbed me up the wrong way for some reason. Hold on, does anyone other than me on this thread actually watch it??!

Imps7 · 05/10/2011 07:23

Arse, link fail

Let's try that again

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 07:41

I watched GBBO Imps - also pleased Jo won. Holly too swotty (even for me!) and I know Mary-Anne was popular but I just couldn't take to her.....

Hmm, sorry to see the signs of AF maybe arriving Imps - still hoping you're wrong but have some medicinal chocolate just in case xxx

CakePigeon · 05/10/2011 09:24

hi dizzy I know, I think smug pregnant colleagues should be banned and certainly banned from discussing it at length in the office. It prompted someone yesterday to turn to me and say "everyone's pregnant around here, you're not pregnant as well are you?" I was Sad about it because I just had to smile and say oh no not me. Gah

imps how are you today? Hope AF isn't in full flow. I'm still brooking for you.

late very sensible attitude towards testing - I wish I could do the same! It sounds really promising for you though and on 2ww.com lots of people don't have symptoms until later on. One of my colleagues felt fine until 5 months!

I am also pleased Jo won Smile she seemed to be the nicest.

PopcornMouse · 05/10/2011 10:00

Oh scrambled, I'm so sorry ? have a few restful days non-MNing, we'll brook no argument on your behalf in the meantime!

Cake that's pants, don't cry! This month will be our month, then you can wave scans at them to your heart's content :o Some people are soooo insensitive.

Why on earth would anyone lie about how long it took ttc? They're adding to this big ?-conspiracy-- fallacy that you just have to look at a man and you're upduffed.

Babysade I think that would be called ?stealth-boasting? in the AIBU forum -?to which I am a hopelessly addicted rubbernecker-- :o

All quiet in the Popcorn camp, SWI is progressing nicely thankyouverymuch :o

CakePigeon · 05/10/2011 12:18

can I ask what AIBU is? Blush

glad your swi is going well popcorn and ninja! I think I'd be too scared to wave pictures in people's faces and be all smug, just in case the worst happened and I'd then have to tell everyone. I plan on having a secret, unnoticed pregnancy that I can just quietly get on with :o

hope you are feeling better scrambled

I am also on the shagathon, DH was less picky and obliged last night!

Biscuitsandtea · 05/10/2011 12:44

AIBU - Am I Being Unreasonable (get some real bunfights on that part of the forums). So people as an 'Am I being unreasonable question and get a YABU or YANBU response for you are (or are not) being unreasonable. :)

Glad all the SWIers are doing well - go get 'em girls WinkGrin
