New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:

Generic I won't have it be said that they are period pains. I had period pains all week leading up to my BFP and have had them frequently since.

Biscuitsandtea · 27/09/2011 09:14

Me too Smile

NinjaChipmunk · 27/09/2011 09:50

that's you told generic! Grin

PopcornMouse · 27/09/2011 10:03

Generic, blatantly pg - I look forward to celebratory cake tomorrow :o

cake - I've been tic for 7 months too, we're cycle buddies in more ways than one, then! apart from you being ridiculously healthy while I chug cola and eat eccles cakes What's your strategy for this month? DH works shifts which makes SWI difficult, but I work from home so I'm hoping with a little extra effort this month we can manage to dtd every other day....

omg dream, DH needs a stiff talking to by us brookers. I have a friend who couldn't cope with the thought of dtd with a baby up in there, so he was on a sex famine the whole pregnancy Shock He has gotten off lightly and should be treating you like a princess by doing all the housework and running around after DD while you sit on the sofa with a bar of galaxy and the latest Grazia way more understanding!

Week 3 on WW and still not lost a single pound that'll be the eccles cake :(

PopcornMouse · 27/09/2011 10:04

tic ttc

farfallarocks · 27/09/2011 10:08

dream with all the SWI you did to get your BFP your DH has probably just got a taste for it now and needs to be weaned off slowly!!

ninja FX for you this month!

generic really have everything crossed for you this month

I had some accupuncture last night, very relaxing again and she burnt some moxa which apparently will help with the spotting now but I am a bit Hmm
about that bit!

Imps7 · 27/09/2011 10:36

Ouch, burnt moxa - sounds painful!

Generic I'm really rather hopeful for you this month! It feels like aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggeeeeeeeessssss since the last BFP so you must be next on our list!

Hello Ninja, when does the rat smacking start with a vengeance?

Dream - I agree with Popcorn...maybe you should put DH onto this thread for 5 minutes so that we can have a quiet word with him...

ScrambledSmegs · 27/09/2011 10:53

Morning rat- smackers! Has anyone seen this lovely weather yet, or is it a myth?

farfalla am very impressed at you acupuncturing - sadly I'm terrified of it (although not of needles, weirdo that I am). I do love reflexology though. Hope it helps you.

So, last night I had a horrific time. Had a banging headache and was vilely sick. Things also not great the other end either. This won't affect my chances of being pg, will it? Bit worried Sad.

CakePigeon · 27/09/2011 10:59

scrambled hope you're feeling ok - sounds like a preggo symptom to me though. I am also terrified of acupuncture

popcorn yay for cycle buddies! I'm throwing everything at it this month - preseed, manuka honey, the lot. I think dtd every other day as we've done every day for the past couple of months and no result so maybe every other day is better for us

ScrambledSmegs · 27/09/2011 11:05

Haha! Isn't everything a pregnancy symptom though, Cake? If I had an urge to dance the macarena while wearing a blue wig and lime green tutu, someone would be sure to tell me it was a pregnancy symptom! Nothing to do with too much sugar and watching odd YouTube vids Grin.

ScrambledSmegs · 27/09/2011 11:07

But obviously thank you Smile. I am worried, despite my insane ramblings. I am feeling better - a bit weak but fine now I've had about 10 hours sleep.

GenericDietCola · 27/09/2011 11:42

Popcorn WW is hard, but I did it about 10 years ago (eek!) and lost 2 stone! most of it's gone back on now

Acupuncture sounds nice Farfalla.

Imps I think it's been aaaaaaaaaagggggggggeeeeeeessssssssss too and selfishly I do want to be next! Closely followed by everyone else of course.

Scrambled sorry you are ill. The best thing is to rest and I'm sure you and miniegg will be fine.

Cake if I get a BFP this month I wil be crediting the honey as I've now scoffed my way through a whole pot of it! and if I'm not preg I shall be buying preseed

Well in answer to Biscuits, AF could be due tomorrow if I had the same cycle length as last month. I keep running off to the loo, but no sign yet, despite the continuing cramps. I have had cramps with my other pregnancies too so I keep changing my mind between 'AF is coming' and 'I'm PREGNANT!!!'. Anyway, none of this pessimism on here - I am definitely pregnant and I am just waiting for the pee stick confirmation as a mere formality. Thank you for keeping up the brooking for me for today.

farfallarocks · 27/09/2011 11:48

scrambled it does not feel like needles at all so you might be ok? Reflex also lovely though I find..

PopcornMouse · 27/09/2011 11:52

scrambled I get that with AF, so may well just be your hormones rearranging themselves. I shouldn't worry at this stage, especially if it was short lived, but you could always ring NHS Direct if you're worried?

ScrambledSmegs · 27/09/2011 12:05

Ooh Generic you sound preggo to me! Very excited for you!

Popcorn you get that every month? You poor thing. I get migraines frequently but it doesn't make me sick every time, thank goodness.

farfalla thanks but no way, no how! Glad you like it though.

So it's just occurred to me that I went cold turkey on caffeine yesterday. I had a week of cream teas in abundance (yummy!) and then went straight back onto my decaf/rooibos teas. I bet it was caffeine withdrawal! Hopefully means nothing and all is well in Planet Uterus...

Solars · 27/09/2011 12:22

You are most definitely upduff Generic dear, looking forward to your confirmation tomorrow.

Scrambled glad you're feeling a little better, make sure you max out on your 10 hour sleeps before the baby arrives!

I have noticed something and just wanted to hear what you ladies think of this. I have always, since I cant remember when, had bleeding gums, usually only when I brush though, too lazy tired to floss regularly (shame on me) which is what the dentist always recommended however I noticed at the weekend that they weren't bleeding anymore and I'm pretty sure this has been the case for a few weeks now, thinking back. I remember someone on here a while ago talking about bleeding gums relating to infertility. Now the only real change that i've made over the last month and a half has been that i've been taking complex vit B so i'm wondering if this has had an affect on my fertility??? I really hope so or am I just clutching at straws? or am I talking nonsense as usual Hmm

Solars · 27/09/2011 13:26

oh no my nonsense has killed the thread Shock

sorry Blush

sits in the naughty corner Blush

CakePigeon · 27/09/2011 13:34

Don't be silly solars everyone is just off buying vitamin b!
I actually did buy vitamin b tablets today as part of my 'throw everything at it' philosophy Grin also I don't think you're mad, I read the bleeding gums thing too but I think it was bad for conception more because bleeding gums are a sign of gum disease and it related poor dental hygiene to gum disease and not conceiving when you're immune system is low. I also have bleeding gums regularly but not related to gum disease... I just have sensitive gums... Ok this is a bit of a weird conversation now haha

Solars · 27/09/2011 14:15

Thanks Cake it is weird about my gums, but i'm hoping that for whatever reason that they have stopped bleeding would suggest that I have more of a chance of conceiving - next month if I don't get my bfp this time, will definitely be the month I throw everything at it I've already started on the pre-seed, vit B's so will be getting the Manuka honey next....anything else??

Imps7 · 27/09/2011 14:47

Nonsense kill this thread?? Never! This thread is the epitome of nonsense Grin

It is interesting about your gums Solars. Mine bleed every now and then and like you I don't floss - I'm too squeamish for it. I really ought to get in the habit though. I remember the comment about flossing/fertility but now for the life of me cannot remember how gums and lady bits could possibly be linked.

You sound like you have a very good attack plan for next cycle Solars - a very comprehensive rat smacking kit. Just don't forget the SWI!

PopcornMouse · 27/09/2011 15:59

Solars I use floss harps which are quick and a doddle to use, none of this wrapping 6" of floss and trying to shove your fist in your gob :o I love flossing. Even after I brush brush brush, my harp still stinks after flossing so I know it must really make a difference :)

Imps, I know Asda do "sensitive" floss harps that are a bit softer, maybe they won't freak you out so much?

Oral hygeine's been linked to all sorts, including heart disease not entirely sure I believe that one though but tbh, if you look on the conception signs website, bleeding gums are often listed as a symptom/sign for pg too??

Imps7 · 27/09/2011 16:01

Ooh, a sensitive floss harp sounds like such a lovely angelic thing I'm going to have to give them a go!

Solars · 27/09/2011 16:05

Oh yeah SWI !! I'll make sure that's on the list too Imps

Now i'm really confused Confused Popcorn, bleeding gums as a pg symptom which means I was pg all along but now that the bleeding has stopped I'm not pg Confused

Imps7 · 27/09/2011 16:24

Relax Solars - on this thread you are always pregnant despite what your gums might be telling you.

Imps7 · 27/09/2011 16:25

Oh, btw - I've had some mild AF cramps today and some bubbling sensations in lower abdomen - implantation, or wind? (I'm 7 DPO)
