New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

BabySade · 26/09/2011 13:12

Hey Dream how are you & minidream getting on? Hope the sickness is getting better. How many weeks are you?

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 14:27
farfallarocks · 26/09/2011 15:01

Themometres up the fanjo. LOVE IT.

I am assuming you keep it somewhere separate so your DH does not end up using it in the nomal way, blergh!

On CD 6 here and still have weird brown spotting, have basically been bleedding or spotting or cramping now for 2 weeks, JOY!

Looking forward to seeing the specialist on Thurs and hoping he can tell me whether we should be smacking the rat this month or giving it a rest.

I am not leaving you crazy cats though, I love this thread!
baby ignore the blardy stupid pee stick!

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 15:09

I hide mine down the side of the mattress, just so he doesn't decide to see what his temp is ;)

ScrambledSmegs · 26/09/2011 15:29

'Cos rooting around under the mattress every morning isn't at all suspicious, oh no! Grin.

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 15:38

I keep mine on the bedside table - OH has seen it but has no idea what it is or what I do with it and presumably hasn't wanted to ask! I do keep it upside down though - the side with the digital display on it also has the logo "BabyMad" on it and for some reason I worry that if OH sees that he may think that I'm baby mad and freak out.

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 15:42

Ha ha ha imps :o

DH is a nurse so knows exactly what it is. I have tentatively told him what I'm charting temps for, but I have an underactive thyroid which you can also track using basal temperatures, so he sort of thinks it's as much for that as ttc, I reckon sneaky popcorn

farfallarocks · 26/09/2011 15:55

imps :)

Mine has slowly accepted all the baby related paraphenalia in the bathroom, CBFM, vitamins, manuka honey etc etc

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 16:44

Hmmm, a craving for scallops wrapped in bacon has appeared out of nowhere. Pregnancy craving?

Solars · 26/09/2011 17:29

That is most definitely a pregnancy symptom Imps

So the topic of conversation was thermometers up the fanjo Grin

Baby please try again with the sticks that was obviously a dud one.

Farfalla that does not sound like fun, hope you get some answers soon and glad to hear you're still sticking around :)

So who else is confirming soon? Generic (waves) is wednesday, is there anyone else?

Right off to make some tea...

BabySade · 26/09/2011 17:30

Yuck that has definitely got to be a pregnancy symptom!

I'm loving all the fangometer stories

Hope all goes well on thurs Farfalla

Well I've got sore boobies & I'm feeling a bit randy Blush unfortunately these are typical signs of stupid AF for me. I've just had a little nap as I'm working nights this week. It was a rubbish sleep as my neighbours were stood in their front garden the entire time arguing Sad

BabySade · 26/09/2011 17:37

Hi Solars how are you? Im using the mn app so missed your post. I'm sick of those stupid pee sticks. I think I'm gonna wait till Thursday now.

Ooh Generic we will be BFP buddies (it's close enough!)

I miss Maybe hope she is doing okay

On a positive note (just realised my post sounds a bit gloomy) I forgot to tell you all that DH & I had a fab holiday. We really enjoyed just spending time together again away from work & ttc crap Smile

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 17:38

I am CD4 and my left boob is cramping something terrible. Blatantly pre-pregnant pregnancy symptoms :o

Solars · 26/09/2011 17:53

Hi Baby, I'm good and glad to hear you had such a lovely holiday. I think if I had your neighbours my curtains would be constantly twitching, sounds like a soap opera, but is obviously not much fun for you if you are on nights, I agree I miss Maybe too, hope she will pop in from time to time. I am sure you will find that agreeable pee stick on Thursday :)

scarletfingernail · 26/09/2011 17:57

Hi everyone, I'm still hanging around here and just popped in to say hello.

I laughed out loud at the term taking temperature "fanjoly" popcorn

Generic I can't wait for you to test on Wednesday and confirm your BFP.

Baby good to hear you had a lovely relaxing holiday. I could so do with one of those right now.

Hello and welcome Bleats. Dud pee sticks will become a thing of the past now you've found this thread.

farfalla I hope you have a successful appointment on Thursday, I'll be brooking no argument for you.

My and babyscarlet are doing well. Apart from random nausea, random sore boobs and constant tiredness I have no symptoms. Soooo pleased I've managed not to puke so far at all. I have a 10 week scan Wednesday morning and if all is still well I'm planning on telling some people at last.

CakePigeon · 26/09/2011 18:30

Glad to hear the no brooking spirit is resulting in a happy pregnancy for you scarlet

Glad you had a nice holiday baby hope your next pee stick is more sensible.

Weds is really soon generic I'm really excited!

We've only been ttc for 7 months I'm just completely a bit neurotic/control freakish/ a hypochondriac it's a great combo Grin I think I stupidly thought it wouldn't take us as long because we're both young, don't smoke, aren't over weight and don't drink huge amounts. Turns out it doesn't always work like that.

GenericDietCola · 26/09/2011 20:25

Talk of taking temperatures fanjoly had me chortling at my desk!

Baby we can be BFP buddies - yay! Still got really sore boobs and in the car on the way home I suddenly had to eat a Snickers bar - deffo a symptom in my book.

Farfalla sorry you're still not right but hope the appointment on Thurs is really helpful. It's good to have an action plan.

Scarlet nice to see you - glad everything's going well for you - how exciting to be telling people soon.

Oh Cake you will get there soon chuck.

I do feel quite pre-menstrual with occasional cramps and heavy feeling. Keep rushing off to knicker check, but so far so good. Mind you if AF rocked up today it would be even earlier than last cycle and I would definitely have to get back on the B6. I am brooking no argument though with the sore boobs - that is a very good sign. Oh and still got dog nose - another good symptom.

Patiencedeficit · 26/09/2011 20:32

Mmm Baby thanks for the Jaffa Cakes. Kind of you all to leave one for me. Delicious!

Generic - yes manuka honey is bloomin' expensive but now serves a double purpose as I am full of cold. Hoping it may nurse me back to health... Hope it works for you before you run out!

Congrats Scarlet - good luck with your scan, you must be so excited.

Love this thread - you all make me laugh a lot Grin!!! Fanjometer Grin

dreamfeeder · 26/09/2011 20:32

cake, thats exactly what I and DH thought when we started ttc (and I am one of the lucky ones- I got pg first time ever we tried, had a mc, tried again 5 or 6 months later when I felt better, pg first time again...). Bit of a shock when we really wanted no.2, and it seemed more important exactly WHEN for age gaps we'd had in mind etc etc... It will definitely happen very, very soon for you. In fact, this month. I can feel it in my water.... BFP coming up.

Glad you had a lovely holiday

I'm 10 and a half weeks now, still puking, but it's much, much more manageable- sometimes only once or twice a day, sometimes a bit more. and only 9 days til my 12 week scan!!!!! I'm still poking the blooming fat though (as lets face it, my uterus is still below my pelvic brim), but a friend commented on my bump today... She was at DD's party so witnessed the huge amount of puking, so did already know, but I wasn't expecting to be showing off my fatness. Seems unfair as I'm still well below my normal weight, thanks to the morning sickness.. Whats also unfair is DH doesn't get it that I'm knackered running round after DD all day, literally, and feeling sick or being sick a lot etc etc and is complaining about not feeling very loved/ involved and no nookie. FFS. Thats all I can say...

Absolutely fascinated by the Fanjometer talk. I can't believe I hadn't realised this before!!! I think taking your temp "fanjoly" should become a recognised proper phrase, it's so good! popcorn, i'm sure no-one knows you have anything hidden down the side of the mattress, lol!

dreamfeeder · 26/09/2011 20:32

imps, pregnancy craving!! You still havent confirmed whether you have used the tried and tested no-knickers-to-a-wedding theory?!?!

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 20:47

A lady should never reveal her underwear status!! But if you really want to know, I did wear pants, and not just pants - Spanx!!

CakePigeon · 26/09/2011 20:57

Loving fanjoly and spanx discussions!

Thanks dream and generic I'm brooking no argument whatsoever this month. I'm even on decaf tea and manuka honey as of today go me! Loving the honey but I still think camomile tea tastes rank

Good luck for your scan dream super exciting!

Totally preggo generic I'm properly on tenterhooks!

NinjaChipmunk · 26/09/2011 22:33

hello, I'm back from my travels. It is cd4 here and still quite heavy af but have now finished all my antibiotics from HSG and can resume folic acid, decaf tea and preparing to jump dp in a few days time. I may even buy some manuka honey.....
hi bleats and welcome.
little glad you liked your acupuncture, I have heard good things about it. I really hope it lengthens your lp.
I'm crap at remembering what everyone else said but i hope you are all well and smacking as many rats as possible.
Right, think I shall sign off and watch James Bond. Nighty night.

GenericDietCola · 27/09/2011 09:04

Welcome back Ninja - glad AF nearly gone and hope this month goes well!

Period pains here - booo. Am going to try not to think about it and will test tomorrow if no AF by then.

Biscuitsandtea · 27/09/2011 09:08

When were you due Generic? hope they're not period pains Sad

Welcome back Ninja Smile
