New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:

Hi bleats!

Oh cake, so sorry to hear AF snuck in to the wedding uninvited cheeky mare. This will be the month, though!! :o

My temps are doing weird things - I'm on CD5 and they're still well above my baseline - though coming down slowly - which wasn't the case last month. I also had a distinct dip 10dpo last cycle, so I think I sadly had a wee little eggy implant but far too late for it to be viable. Feel surprisingly un-bummed out about it, as at least it means stuff is working as it should (well almost).

I want scones 8*(

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 09:23

Sore boobs = up the duff.

:o

CakePigeon · 26/09/2011 09:26

Ooh scones for breakfast yummy! Thank scrambled They'll go nicely with my new tea - I splurged on caramel rooibos yesterday and it's really tasty

glad you had a fab weekend imps not long until you can test now!
And you generic yay for imminent BFPs

Hi bleats when will you be treating us all to your confirmation?

Thanks for all the sympathy everyone. I think it's getting harder for me each month as I start to convince myself that there's something wrong DH us no help at all either he immediately panics ever month when I tell him it's over, bless him. Due to ov around 10th October, stupid long cycles Angry

CakePigeon · 26/09/2011 09:28

Some horrendous typos there sorry! stupid phone.

Hi popcorn I wouldn't worry too much about your temps at this time. Mine are usually all over the shop for the first week or so, so now I don't bother taking my temp right at the beginning of each cycle

GenericDietCola · 26/09/2011 09:55

Cake how long have you been ttc?

GenericDietCola · 26/09/2011 09:57

Oh Popcorn that's sad that you think you may have had an eggy that didn't make it. I admire you for charting and knowing your body and cycles so well but I think it would just make me ultra-obsessive. I'm bad enough as it is what with the sore bosoms and all.

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 10:45

Agree with Popcorn that sore boobs = imminent BFP, Generic. Hurrah!

Has anyone seen Late recently?

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 10:49

Popcorn, I wonder if that happened to me as well last month - AF was two days late and nasty and painful when she did arrive, and my temp didn't take a nosedive on AF day as they have done with every cycle previously - temps came down gradually and only reached my normal below cover-line temp on about CD 6 or 7. I guess we'll never know, but I do like to think that OH's swimmers and my egg have successfully got it on in the past so I am happy to believe that that's what happened even if it's not true!

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 11:20

Oh that's interesting Imps. Yes that's sort of how I'm seeing it too. Oh the things we'd be blissfully unaware of if we lived a hundred years ago!!

Did you ov on the same day as normal, or did it mess things about a bit?

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 11:22

admits to being ultra obsessive about temping Blush

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:13

I ov'd on CD 18 last cycle - it always seems to be CD 18 or 19 so nothing unusual there. I love temping - I wouldn't say I'm obsessive about it, but I do like knowing exactly when I have Ovd as otherwise I'd be obsessing about "Have I? Haven't I?" plus I'm a bit of a geek.

ScrambledSmegs · 26/09/2011 12:15

I've learnt so much on this thread. I'm not going to be able to carry on in blissful ignorance like before Sad. How long before I crack and stuff a thermometer up my fanjo? Place your bets, rat-smackers!

Popcorn, do you fancy being my ttc guru? I have no idea how this temperature/charting thing works, am ignorant Blush.

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:19

Scrambled, there's nothing like sticking a thermometer up your fanjo first thing in the morning Grin I give you until the end of this cycle...

I actually get hugely excited when I see the temp rise, and I do love it when my temps remain consistent! I really am one of the saddest people I know.

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 12:25

Lol!!! Would love to, smegs, I definitely don't know it all though so we can learn together ;)

As I understand it, you have a low-ish temperature at the beginning of your cycle, which drops on the day you ov and then rises the day after you ovulate, and then stays high until AF arrives (or rather, you get your bfp :o ).

My chart for August is on here:
www.fertilityfriend.com/home/chartywarty
It's a bit wibbly at the beginning, that was when I was charting orally. I charted fanjoly CD16 on :o

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:34

Oh, I've just remembered that I had weird bleeding last cycle too on 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11 DPO. Haven't had any this cycle or in any previous cycles. My pregnancy bible suggests that arriving too early at the uterus for implantation is just as damaging to the chances of successfully implanting as late arrival - wonder if that's what happened. Ohhh, I'd just love to know for sure!!

ScrambledSmegs · 26/09/2011 12:38

Thanks! I'm using the app today so can't click on the link, but will go check it out this evening. Will make a nice distraction from all the brick dust Smile.

So, Imps, Popcorn and other people in the know - just a regular thermometer then? Not a special fanjometer?! A trip to the chemist may be in the offing, I don't really want to try with the Digital forehead thermometer! [eyewatering emoticon].

ScrambledSmegs · 26/09/2011 12:41

Really, Imps? . Why is that? Is it because your uterus lining isn't thick enough?

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:42

Oooh you need a special fanjometer (Grin) - it needs to go to 2 decimal points. They're v cheap on Amazon!

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:44

Annoyingly Scrambled it doesn't go into that much detail - I suppose that must be it though. Apparently non-implantation of a blastocyst is incredibly common, but most women will never realise it's happened...unless they're super sleuths like me and Popcorn that is Grin

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 12:45

Oh, and the search term for Amazon purposes is "basal body temperature thermometer", NOT "fanjometer"!!

ScrambledSmegs · 26/09/2011 12:53

Ah, I'm strangely disappointed! (cancels amazon search for fanjometer).

Fingers crossed I won't be needing it though. I'm 3dpo and have smacked at that rat till I was walking like John Wayne Grin. Now I need to wait to be sure I hit the blasted thing!

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 12:57

:o @ John Wayne

PopcornMouse · 26/09/2011 12:58

That's really interesting Imps. I wonder what speeds up or slows down it's eggy journey? Do they get distracted? Stop to contemplate life and the universe?

BabySade · 26/09/2011 13:03

Hello everyone Grin
Welcome to the most positive thread on mn Bleats you will be upduffed before you know it

I'm so interested in the idea of temping but it would be pointless for me cos of all the shifts I do.

I'm on CD31 here, POAS yesterday. The stupid stick said no so I'm ignoring it Angry my longest cycle has been 35 days. I'm surprised the stick didn't give me a BFP as I have smacked that rat beyond a doubt. We managed to DTD 9 times around ovulation week which is a record for us.

Where are you at Imps, what CD is it?
