New thread ladies, pull up a pew.

OP posts:
knittymum · 23/09/2011 16:25

Cake - sounds positive and I'm keeping fingers crossed for you - one of my symptoms (didn't have many until a few days after the BFP) was excessive amounts of thick CM, so it could be a good sign. Good luck for the morning!

dreamfeeder · 23/09/2011 21:10

cake, that was one of my symptoms!! I reckon you're upduff!!!

GenericDietCola · 23/09/2011 21:12

Can't wait for Cake's confirmation tomorrow!

CakePigeon · 23/09/2011 23:13

Hello sorry to let you all down but AF decided to put in an appearance in the middle of the wedding. Lovely. Needless to say I spent the rest of the evening necking free wine and trying not to cry. I don't have any symptoms still it's weird normally I have crippling cramps and spotting first. Rubbish Sad

NinjaChipmunk · 23/09/2011 23:54

cake i'm on day 1 too. Sorry the evil witch decided to arrive at a wedding. But free booze is always good. Hope you're not feeling so down today?
Hope everyone else is good too?

BabySade · 24/09/2011 06:43

I'm sorry Cake, stupid AF why doesnt she get the message. This month will be your month. Hope you don't have a hangover from all the free wine
Glad AF is here for you though Ninja, welcome to day 1

BabySade · 24/09/2011 06:51

Oops sorry sent that too soon! I'm off to work in a min & have got my sister staying so won't be on for a few days. Im about 10 dpo, trying not to drive myself too crazy Grin

scarletfingernail · 24/09/2011 08:52

Sorry to hear about AF Cake I'm brooking no argument that she will not be back again for a long time. Same for you Ninja.

CakePigeon · 24/09/2011 11:15

Thanks everyone I'm ok now. Was quite down last night and had my usual "I can't do this any more maybe we should stop trying" moment but I'm back to being positive today!

Looking forward to your confirmation when you come back babysade!

farfallarocks · 24/09/2011 11:54

cake so sorry but glad to see you are positive again. Next month will be your month!

GenericDietCola · 24/09/2011 14:47

Cake sorry to hear that but glad you enjoyed the free booze! This month has to be your month!

Ninja - exciting that AF has finally showed up and you can get on with the magical post-HSG cycle.

Baby not long now til your confirmation!

Happy weekend everyone.

dreamfeeder · 24/09/2011 19:15

oh cake, what a horrible disappointment. I hope you were wearing no nickers to the wedding regardless of the evil witch- no knickers to a wedding = definite upduffedness.

babysade, fingers crossed not too long til your confirmation.

ninja, this is absolutely your month, That dye will have cleared out your passages and those swimmers will be up there like a rat up a drainpipe. Guaranteed.

See a rat? SMACK IT!!!!

CakePigeon · 24/09/2011 19:46

Goodness me dream I dont know what kind of hussy you think I am- I was most certainly wearing knickers! Grin I was wearing big granny pants for the record.. Will try your no nickers=preggo theory next time tho Wink

Grin at rat up a drain pipe. DH always sats 'like a tramp on chips' Hmm ninja this is sooo your month !

How are you dream? hope you're eating ok

TheLittleFriend · 24/09/2011 20:05

Sorry it wasn't your month Cake. Onwards & upwards though - this is your month!!

Ninja glad you can get on with ttc again properly this month, and with improved chances from your hsg. YAY!

I had my first acupuncture appointment today. I really enjoyed it . The woman who did it was fab and really positive that she could help. Going back on Friday, as she wants to do it quite intensively to start with. It'll probably bankrupt me, so I'd better get a bfp out of it!

scarletfingernail · 24/09/2011 20:32

Little I've heard only good things about acupuncture. You will get your BFP.

Patiencedeficit · 24/09/2011 21:05

Good luck everyone for upcoming BFPs - expect there to be at least another one or two on this thread and if not this one then at least on the next!! I still have my BFP - I've been trying very hard to hang onto it by eating virtuously and booking an appt to see the doc next week so there are no excuses for losing this one. Scary times but fingers crossed eh?
Will be hanging around on this thread for some time yet.
How are you doing Duke?
Btw, it may be co-incidence but I started on the manuka honey last month...

dreamfeeder · 24/09/2011 21:23

Now cake, its not a theory. If you wear no knickers to a wedding it had been tried and proven that you do indeed get upduffed. imps is soon going to add to this body of knowledge if she didn't chicken out and went knickerless.
Love like a tramp on chips!!

Interesting about the manuka honey patience.

I'm doing better with the eating, not losing weight any more, or at least not fast any more. Had a bad couple of days with a lot of wasted effort eating meals only to see them 20 min later, but overall I'm much better. Can't do the healthy eating though- still got the runs, 5 weeks and counting so keeping fibre down a bit and lots of fruit textures make me sick. Salad is ok last few days though but feel bit guilty about the lack of truly healthy meals. 11 days til my 12 week scan and then I'll relax a bit.

Now rat smackers,
What do we want? POSITIVE PEE STICKS
When do we want them? NOW!

duke748 · 24/09/2011 21:51

Cake - fingers crossed this is your month. I got my last AF just before my first child-free weekend. I ended up drinking HUGE amounts and it all worked out OK as it seems that that was the last time for me to drink for at least 9 months as I got BFP this month. I'm sure it will be the same for you!

Patience - I'm doing great, thanks for asking. Just weeing lots, super tired and slightly nauseous. Dream - when did your MS kick in? It was my least favourite part of my last pregnancy- I lost 1.5 stone in 2 months but put it all on and bloody loads more in later pregnancy and still haven't got rid of it. I've also been knicker-checking like mad and no blood so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

How is everyone else doing? I'm looking forward to more positive pee sticks soon.

Bleats · 25/09/2011 11:45

Can I hop on as I am clearly pregnant it is just that the stick is saying not. Bad stick. If I am not preg then clearly about to have an almightly bad time with Auntie. But I am with new life. No brooking here.

I come not only with empty optimism but a new batch of cakes. Freshly made Paddington Bear Marmalade buns. Perfect with honey, manuka or otherwise. Please enjoy.

dreamfeeder · 25/09/2011 12:06

duke I've been puking like a good ' un since the day I was 5 weeks pg... I am now at my absolute thinnest and do not want to lose any more, my new smaller jeans are already too big!!! I think it'll improve from here though. I have a bump already- I think I'm only 10.5 weeks, but in the morning, I look normal (thin even, hooray!) everywhere bar this distinct bumpy bit very low... Hmm. Last time I hardly showed til 16 weeks, and it was only at about 25 that people I met through work were saying 'oh, so you're pregnant!' ( in a real 'we thought you were just piling on the pounds' way!) I can't have a bump now can I?!

Hello bleats but of course you are with child, just find a bloody stick to agree and best that auntie out the door with a big proper stick.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/09/2011 14:05

Hello! I'm back from my hols, bearing scrummy scones, proper clotted cream and two types of jam for my obviously pregnant chums. Guess where I've been then?!

Anyway, I've got a lot of catching up to do, so will be back after reading the thread.

ScrambledSmegs · 25/09/2011 20:53

Ooh, have I killed the rat-smacking thread? It's not possible! Have skimmed the thread and feel like I've been away for a month, not a week.

Sorry to hear about AF, farfalla, Ninja and Cake. Pesky woman. Onwards and upwards, eh?

Maybe I'm so sorry to read that you've had to leave us, although obviously it's the right thing for you and your DH at the moment. and best wishes.

Congratulations duke and Patience! Excellent rat-smacking! Although - 5 times?! Shock I managed to, ahem, persuade DH into 3 times in one day and thought I was a sex goddess. I am ancient though...

Am into the 2ww now, although with my horrifically short luteal phase I think I'd know if something was up by next weekend. I'm taking vitamin B though, so maybe not. We'll see.

Came home yesterday to find massive bags of rubble in the front garden and a big hole in the kitchen wall. Luckily we were expecting this Grin as we're having a chimney breast opened up in order to renovate our old and dodgy kitchen, but am thinking that I probably couldn't have chosen a worse time to get upduffed, what with all the mess and stress of building work. So I might as well be booking that birthing pool right now...

Solars · 25/09/2011 22:37

Welcome back Scrambled did you have a lovely holiday? Clotted cream, mmmm I love clotted cream :) Sounds like timing couldn't be any worse for that bfp :)

So sorry to hear about af Cake but this will definitely be your month now as it will be for you too Ninja especially with that HSG under your belt! Go forth and smack those rats in a few days time!

Hi Bleats you are so clearly with child, now that you are on this thread those pee sticks will definitely comply!

Dream looking forward to hearing about your scan soon and hope things settle down you get to feel better soon, you seem not to be having the best of time at the moment.

Little glad to hear about you enjoying the acupuncture, i'm still undecided as to whether to go for it. We have our next gynae appointment at the end of this week where we find out about HSG and what our next steps are so depending on that and whether af doesn't arrive in a couple of weeks I may start some myself. But looks like according to Patience I should really be getting some of this Manuka honey!!

Imps7 · 26/09/2011 06:56

Morning all! Hope all's well!

Hope you had a super holiday Scrambled. Thanks for the scones . How far into the 2ww are you? Any exciting symptoms for report? Glad the hole in the wall was expected - sounds very exciting and agree with Solars that massive upheaval and a lot of work will ensure the arrival of your BFP.

Hello to our latest preggo Bleats! Your bump is positively burgeoning - up the duffness clearly suits you.

Dream hope you're doing okay despite the vomming and weight loss. Hope that bump lets you off today so you can have a nice vom-free day.

Cake sorry that AF got you. Hope you're managing to enjoy the first few days of your pregnancy - when is OV likely for you this month?

Had a fab weekend with friends and their 21 month old son - he is so funny. Had a bit too much to drink though which is naughty - I've had next to nothing so far this cycle though so I won't feel too guilty. I'm now 6 DPO and don't have anything massively exciting to report - slightly tender nips but that's not too unusual at this stage in the cycle. Anyway, I promised myself that I would not symptom-spot this month and will be calm and relaxed until I know the outcome one way or the other...Hmm

GenericDietCola · 26/09/2011 09:17

Hello all.

Little glad you enjoyed acupuncture - hope it works!

Patience I'm carrying on with the honey but only until this pot runs out as it's soo bloomin' expensive!

Dream everyone I know says number 2 results in bigger and sooner bump than number 1 so fear not! Hope the vomming stops soon - not nice.

Hello Bleats congratulations on the pregnancy!

Welcome back Scrambled ta for the scones (pronounced scon not sco-o-o-one)

Hi Solars and Imps

I'm between 7 and 11 dpo now and have sore bosoms. This means nothing as AF could be due any day, but I choose to continue in the belief that I am up the duff. Might confirm on Wednesday just in case I am 11 dpo and not 7.
