So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

havealittlefaithbaby · 28/08/2011 17:11

Well hello pregnasaurs! I've been laying low for a while but thought I'd mark my place on the new thread. Things are slightly more positive in the have household. DH's sa came back better (count still low but motility much improved). Not quite up to brooking yet but wanted to say hi.
ninja sorry to hear about af but if you're anything like I was at least this af means you get the Hsg done and get your plumbing checked out (Hmm phone changed that to 'chavved', what images chavved out plumbing produces*!). Hope it goes ok. Obviously we will get upduffed in next couple of months after having it done!

thelittlefriend · 28/08/2011 19:11

glad you're feeling a bit more positive have.

enjoy your wine ninja

Biscuitsandtea · 28/08/2011 19:12

Hello Have!! how lovely to hear from you! We do miss you here you know Sad.

Very glad to hear your dh's SA came back showing an improvement in motility. Better motility might just be enough to overcome the count (well I'm keeping my fingers crossed anyway!) and you have an appointment for the other thing too don't you? (I'm not being cryptic with 'the other thing', I just can't remember the name. Is it prolactin? I think I've just learned too many hormone etc names during the ttc thing - reached my limit!!)

I am of course hoping that you get that BFP soon - will be brooking no argument on your behalf and doing a bit of pom pom shaking too!

Ninja - I am shaking my fist angrily at AF! How jolly rude of her. Give her a good talking to and send her packing! And enjoy Brew, Biscuit and Wine.

Hope everyone else is ok and having a nice bank holiday weekend.

We went for a picnic with DHs work pals today which was nice

Wants3 · 28/08/2011 20:28

I must never leave this thread again, every time I go away I miss being on the same page as my cycle buddy. Seems AF is a bit busy at the moment but we won't put up with her for much longer. Enjoy your coffee and wine!

Solars · 28/08/2011 20:51

oh Ninja so sorry to hear that nasty af has arrived, but glad to hear you're feeling quite positive and good luck with the HSG, next month will definitely be your month now! I'm so tempted to join you for a caffeinated earl grey too!

Biscuits I love pom bears so thank you!

Have really glad to hear that DH's SA has improved!

NinjaChipmunk · 28/08/2011 21:37

thank you, you lovely lovely lot. I have been on many conception threads in the last 16 months, from symptom spotting to the hut of gloom but I have felt most positive about ttc since being on this thread, it has taken some of the bitterness away from it not being pee stick endorsed month after month.
So I shall have my FSH blood test re-done on tues, book in for my hsg and shag like a mad person. Looks like I'm due to ov around the 10th and I go on holiday for a week on the 12th so that will be nice to take my mind of the beginning of the 2ww.
have good to hear from you, glad dh's SA came back more positive, we get the results of dp's second sa next week i think. We miss you on here, hope you are ready to come back soon.
Now, to stop being so self absorbed and wave poms poms about wildly in anticipation of the next bfp. So, who will it be?????

OP posts:
CakePigeon · 28/08/2011 21:59

have glad your DH's tests are better!

What is a pom bear?! I think I'm missing out here!

It should be maybe next I think and is it imps too?

GenericDietCola · 29/08/2011 07:54

Wow I've missed so much while I've been on the shagathon

Ninja so sorry to hear about AF but I'm glad you're still feeling positive and that this thread is helping. Whenever I feel down about it all, I just remind myself of all our funny phrases and tell myself I'm already pregnant and I'm brooking no argument. It really helps.

Hello Have glad the results weren't too bad and hope you soon feel like brooking again soon.

Little glad you are still about too.

Maybe you are so pregnant! Every post of your sounds more and more fecund!

I heard some good news yesterday - my sil is pregnant again after a miscarriage. I am genuinely pleased for her and I wouldn't say I feel jealous, but I do hope very much that I will getting my BFP in a couple of weeks. Anyway, I am really adopting the attitude that I will be getting pregnant this month. I am not trying I am conceiving. Anyway, I've done lots of SWI and will carry on for a few days yet just to make sure!

Imps7 · 29/08/2011 08:26

Good morning my rat smacking conceivers! Have been a bit awol this weekend - I don't have a smartphone so have to be sat in front of the laptop to catch up on MN and it's always a little tricky to find time over the weekend.

Lunch was lovely yesterday - all went very according to plan apart from the dessert - I don't know why it didn't occur to me that this would happen, but all the juice from the raspberries soaked into the pastry so the pastry just all fell apart. It tasted gorgeous, but next time I will just do a raspberry crumble, rather than faffing about with pastry that doesn't add anything anyway. I'm alright cooking savoury stuff but desserts are my nemesis - I just can't do them justice!

Ninja, sorry that the rat got away, but everyone loves an ironic BFP and this month will be your month what with the HSG booked and all.

Have glad things are looking up. Looking forward to when you're up for a bit more no brooking so we see you more often. although don't forget to bring cakes

Oooh Biscuits PomBears are my FAVOURITE! If only they came in slightly more grown-up packaging so that I didn't feel like a total weirdo buying them for myself.

Maybe can't wait for your BFP confirmation!! It's so exciting!!! I'm pretty sure AF will be joining me today - had a little bit of spotting yesterday and along with the cramps and the sore boobs (all classic pre-AF symptoms for me) I think I'm out for this month. Never fear, I am brooking not the slightest argument that September WILL, I repeat WILL, be my month. So nerr, you rats.

musicalmrs · 29/08/2011 08:43

Morning all!

Maybe - when's the inevitable BFP confirmation?!

Imps - Your desert sounds lovely! ...it was a deconstructed desert, right? Plannned that way from the start? ;)

have, that's great news - hope that's picked you both up a bit!

Generic - congrats to your SIL - hope she's doing well, and I can understand the slight jealousy. As you're obviously pregnant though, you won't need to be for much longer! :)

I've had a lovely weekend, and was busy at a wedding yesterday (both being musical and being a guest!), which left me unable to obsess over symptom spotting - a good thing definitely!

Imps7 · 29/08/2011 08:48

Haaa yes indeed Musical! I did my best to try to disguise the mess the slight imperfections with some strategically placed fresh raspberries and some mint leaves! Heston would have been proud!

Imps7 · 29/08/2011 08:49

Oh, and where are you on your cycle Musical? Any exciting pre-weekend symptoms to report??

musicalmrs · 29/08/2011 09:01

Imps - I'm sure your strategic placing looked fab! Sorry about impending AF by the way - though you never know...!

Due to irregularish cycles, I'm not entirely sure where - FF places me at 3DPO, but I wasn't taking the temperatures accurately enough at the beginning of the cycle, so I don't entirely trust that. O symptoms place me at around about 10DPO, or maybe even 17 - but I'm thinking maybe 10!

Symptoms have mainly been cramps, 'odd' feeling stomach in general, weeing more than usual, fatigue and - TMI - constipation. Prune juice time!

DH and I agreed we wouldn't test for another couple of weeks (covers all bases O-wise, and gives AF a chance!), so trying to distract myself from POAS urges..!

scarletfingernail · 29/08/2011 09:13

Hey have good to hear from you and great news your DH's SA has improved Smile you'll be back to brooking no argument before you know it.

Great news Generic re your SIL. How pregnant is she? Will be so lovely for you both when you get your BFP in a couple of weeks.

Maybe when are you testing?

All good here. Got my first appointment with the midwife tomorrow. Will make it all seem so much more real. If I go by LMP I'm 6 weeks today, but I know really it's not 6 weeks until Weds/Thurs due to me ovulating late. Could do with some symptoms to convince me that everything's ok. Just a little vom in the mornings would make me very happy.

maybebabyR · 29/08/2011 10:34

Morning everyone! Happy bank holiday!

Ninja sorry she got you, but you will most definitely be upduffed after that HSG.

Sorry to hear about the spotting Imps I hope she doesn't rear her ugly head. Your lunch sounded amazing. Very jealous Smile

Brilliant news about your SIL Generic that will most definitely be you in a few weeks.

Symptoms sound promising Musical I am in the same boat as you, don't know exactly when I ovulated, so am covering all bases.

So pleased to hear your results Have things are most definitely looking up.

Biscuits! The picnic sounds lovely. Haven't had pom bears in ages, nom nom.

I don't know when to test. Feeing a little less positive now, though I don't know why. But I have shagged beyond all belief this month, and it my egg doesn't meet any of it, I will not be impressed Grin

Anyone have any nice plans for today? It is nice to see the sun out! We went to a dog day yesterday, and have decided on what dog we have to get. Now we just need to convince someone to let us have one in the flat that also contains 2 bunnies......

maybebabyR · 29/08/2011 10:35

Ooooh, and Scarlet good luck for tomorrow, can't wait ti hear how it went Smile

jenfraggle · 29/08/2011 10:39

musical you couldn't be more pg. Those are classic signs of updiffedness!

MyGoldenNotebook · 29/08/2011 10:59

Morning All,

wants do not worry that we have ships in the night it just highlights our unity and the fact that when one of us is on MN the other is SWI! One buddy must always keep the candle burning and all that!

generic I too am conceiving this month!

Scarlet good luck for tomorrow :) it's so so exciting and I too can't wait to remember how it went! You probably won't remember but a couple of cycles agao you were my cycle buddy and we were both late and then AF - I didn't post much at that time but I'm so thrilled for you being pg now.

Musical I was constipated in early pregnancy last time. You will be clebrating your BFP soon.

Question to all ... is anyone SWI more than once a day? I am doing it once a day but thinking about stepping it up.

CakePigeon · 29/08/2011 11:06

Morning Smile

golden more than once a day? Good lord no! I barely managed once a day last month and that nearly killed me!

maybe it's ok I am being positive on your behalf, you will get your pee stick confirmation soon!

musical sounding promising! Sure we can't tempt you into an early test?

imps hope your spotting stays just that. Fingers firmly crossed for you. If it is AF will you be joining us with a beautiful June baby instead?

musicalmrs · 29/08/2011 11:12

Maybe, I'm testing mid Sept I think. Only because I'd rather the appearance of AF than a BFN. However, HPTs arriving on Friday, so it'll then be a case of willpower... did you have any particular time in mind? And, a dog, how exciting - what type do you want? :)

Golden - We're ttc#1, so no idea on the symptoms front... so glad constipation isn't just me! Something's definitely going on with my body, be it pg or something else :S I'd ask my mother what symptoms she had, but it's unlikely to crop up in conversation, and she doesn't know we're ttc... we were SWI-ing every two days (three in the odd case). Think DH wouldn't be too impressed with every day or more than that - think I'm wearing him out!

Jen - thanks - keeping fingers crossed (and trying to keep myself busy so I stop obsessing!).

Anyone got anything nice planned on this sunny (!) bank holiday? I've been working all morning, but contemplating shopping and SWI-ing this afternoon (just in case. Really covering all bases, even though I think I've OVed already!).

musicalmrs · 29/08/2011 11:13

Cake - not until Friday at the earliest! I don't think my symptoms are as clear as the clearly updiffered maybe though!

maybebabyR · 29/08/2011 11:21

musical I too will be swi if DH ever wakes up (he has been on nights, not just being lazy Smile)

I ordered some cheapy tests too, should be here Friday too. Don't know how long my resolve will last Hmm

We want a Eurasier. I have never seen anything so fluffy in all my life. It took all my will power not to just pop a puppy in my handbag and run off!

Golden more than once a day? I take my hat off to you Grin

Thanks for the positivity Cake!

BartletForAmerica · 29/08/2011 11:37

Musical, you are clearly pregnant. We just need to wait for the pee sticks to confirm it.

Scarlet, hope tomorrow's appt goes well. I have had a friend with twins who had NO symptoms so they don't mean anything. At the same time, I spent the first ten weeks of my pregnancy with DS moaning about having no symptoms, when suddenly hyperemesis struck and I threw up for the remaining 30 weeks!

Imps, have you been watching the Great British Bake Off? Good for baking tips! Perhaps I can get muffin baking tips from them.

Sorry AF arrived, Ninja. Hope the HSG is helpful - not that it matters, because this month IS your month.

As for me, spending this morning in bed, not rat smacking, but being unwell. Still all shingly (step away any of you who haven't had chicken pox) and feeling a bit dopey with all the painkillers. DH has been great - he wants to make sure I'm well enough to go away on holiday on Sunday. We are trying to keep up with our SWI duty though.

Waves pom-poms half-heartedly due to the pain!
What do we want?
Positive pee sticks
When do we want them?
Now!

maybebabyR · 29/08/2011 11:42

What do we want?
For Bartlet to be well.
When do we want it?
Now.
