So here is our new home, hope you all like it!

Dream I remember the first weeks when I found out I was pregnant with DS being really fraught. I took at least ten pregnancy tests, constantly knicker checked, googled symptoms. It was all fine.

I know what you mean about feeling as though you 'want it too much' (I sometimes feel that will stop me geeting pg) but I don't think there can be anything in that really. Try to remember that you are hormonal and fragile. Your DH should have text you - but try not to be too hard on him. nthere coul,d easily be a very innocent explanation. Of course I don't know anything about him and your relationship, but I do know I have a tendency to take my emotions and stresses too far with DH sometimes and he's a lovely man really - just not quite as sensitive as me :)

This is a magical time for you - despite the worries and the tears. You should indeed go to bed but with some nice warm milk and a cosy night dress - the opposite of me say here in a silk one reading my preseed instructions and trying to stop myself from hating myself for being jealous (and, if I'm honest, a little bitter :( ) that my old friend is so quickly pregnant.

dreamfeeder · 27/08/2011 22:29

golden, Good advice. I will try and relax. I was sensible when pg with DD. Two positive pg tests, happy that that was that. But once I got symptoms, they never just went again, I'm sure. And I have had a mc (pre-DD). Hence the ridiculous self-torture.

DH is lovely, and generally supportive, has no dreadful habits and is a wonderful dad. But not into 'talking' if you know what I mean. He's delighted I'm pg, and hopes it'll all be fine. He just can't understand or have sympathy with my 'ridiculous' fears. Sigh. For that, I have MN!

and golden, I was slightly bitter that a mum I met who I barely know is clearly sporting-a-bump 'safely' pregnant.

MyGoldenNotebook · 27/08/2011 22:36

your DH sounds just like mine! Very lovely but not into talking!

I'm am brooking for you and keeping everything crossed. You have had a tough time. I have a good feeling though.

Keep talking here. We love talk! And we can all feel your fears and understand them :)

MyGoldenNotebook · 27/08/2011 22:43

Sorry for rubbish typing! I should use the preview function.

dreamfeeder · 27/08/2011 22:50

Thanks golden. I do feel better now. Now I shall go and clear the kitchen up and get to bed. And not worry!

By the way- can the bat hit the rat?! Why yes of course it can, this month in fact. A Sign.

dreamfeeder · 27/08/2011 22:50

also, DH says- to bat the rat, you have to visualise the tube not being there and the rat being in freefall.

n.b. neither me nor DH have ever batted a rat in that game

dreamfeeder · 27/08/2011 22:51

Well, I hope I will be on here soon, but it may not be for nearly 2 weeks.... holidays!

MyGoldenNotebook · 27/08/2011 22:57

jaggythistle · 28/08/2011 07:55

MyGoldenNotebook · 28/08/2011 08:56

Morning All,

Those of us who are SWI - I want you to share your news! Are we smacking that rat? something certainly popped for me last nigh Blush

Maybe you must be due to test in the next few days?

wants where has my cycle buddy disappeared to?

jenfraggle · 28/08/2011 09:48

I smacked a rat last night after a late night chinese so that must be lucky, right?

Solars · 28/08/2011 10:16

Morning ladies

Dream really hope you enjoy your holiday and also the pregnancy, we're all brooking no argument for you here!

Golden & Jen good luck with all the rat smacking!

Wow Imps i'm loving your lunch menu, room for one more? I'm so jealous of you growing all your own! We are renting at the moment (boo!) and the last few years we've been in different cities & countries because of husbands job! We have finally settled now (phew!!) so I'm really looking forward to having our own garden again and growing!

Scarlet thank you so much for all the tips for San Francisco, especially the bike ride that sounds great. It's not 'til a couple of weeks that we go but really can't wait now!

Yes Maybe are you testing soon???

oh yes and Howdy Biscuits hope you are well!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/08/2011 10:17

Sounds very lucky Jen! Maybe your little one will will be born with an aptitude for chinese cooking?!

Good luck to everyone in the middle of a shagathon!

MyGoldenNotebook · 28/08/2011 10:44

Yes Jen - late night chinese food has been statistically proven to be lucky (and yummy!). Sadly I have put on half a stone over the Summer hols and as a consequence will not be enjoying scrumptious chinese food for the forseeable Angry

Linking nicely, has anyone looked at those chinese fertility chart boy / girl predictors? Personally I am not a smidge bothered about the sex of my next baby, but I have ended up reading an amazing number of crap interesting articles online during this ttc lark.

maybebabyR · 28/08/2011 10:47

Morning!

Dream Hope you are feeling much better today, have an amazing holiday, you will be missed Smile

Golden I am still SWI I am so brooking no argument that I am smacking the rat until I get a BFP. Ratties be warned.

A Chinese rat is most definitely lucky Jen Grin

Wants3 · 28/08/2011 12:14

Hi,golden I am here! I came looking for you a couple of days ago but t his thread moves so fast so my comments were about 3pages back!! Glad you are feeling so positive about your SWI. Pressure seems to be getting to my DH know he knows we are approaching ov time-he is over thinking things so I am still waiting for him to 'perform' IYKWIM!:)

MyGoldenNotebook · 28/08/2011 15:17

Good to see you wants ... get yourself some Marvin Gaye on the steroe (is that an old thing to say now? Perhaps it should be IPOD) a little sexual healing :)

Thanks for the jam tarts jen - a very underrated treat in my opinion. Of course I am only too happy to oblige your very reasonable request and will undoubtedly find a pee stick that agrees with me soon!

NinjaChipmunk · 28/08/2011 15:25

Af got me today. Am rewarding myself with real caffinated earl grey and lots of biscuits. Onto month 17. Need to get blood test on tues and book hsg.
Despite some small moments of feeling upset I am generally quite chipper and intend on drinking wine later!

CakePigeon · 28/08/2011 15:32

Enjoy your indulgences :)

ps stereo I can spell - I just can't type Blush

jenfraggle · 28/08/2011 15:49

Sorry ninja. This will be the last time she comes for 9 months as we are all brooking no argument on your behalf and you will get an ironic BFP after booking your HSG

MyGoldenNotebook · 28/08/2011 15:57

ironic BFPs are the best ;)

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/08/2011 16:18

Hi Ninja so sorry to hear the evil witch has stuck her ugly face in. However with the blood test and HSG coming up your BFP confirmation is assured this month! Glad you're staying positive - this is your month!

scarletfingernail · 28/08/2011 16:24
