maybebabyR · 10/09/2011 10:18

Oh Late I love how your DH is brooking no argument either!

Thanks for the sensible words Imps think we may have another chat tonight and see how we go.

Scrambled you poor thing. I have only had a migraine once, and it was horrific. Hope you get your strength back today.

Did you test Wants?

ScrambledSmegs · 10/09/2011 10:53

Thanks maybe. They do suck, and I always get them at this time of the month. Damn hormones. Agree with *Imps that you shouldn't let your boss dictate when you have a baby - it's up to you no him!

Yes, Wants, did you test?! Am on tenterhooks!

Hi knitty! Sorry to hear about your mc - I had one shortly before conceiving DD and it actually stopped me enjoying my pregnancy until I was around 20 weeks. Sending you good BFP vibes, and a reminder (when you confirm your updiffedness this month) to not be a depressed mardy cow like I was! Don't worry, be happy Wink.

jenfraggle · 10/09/2011 10:54

Sorry to hear how you are feeling maybe

I was made redundant in June and am only on a temporary contract now so was looking into entitlements while unemployed. Maternity Allowance is the same amount as Maternity Pay, you just don't get it as long IIRC. I don't know about where you work but certainly down in Cornwall, the people I know that have got pregnant never get anything from their employer so the money side of things would be the same whether on SMP or MA. Not sure if that helps or not really

maybebabyR · 10/09/2011 11:17

Sorry to hear that Jen. From what I can find out, as I do not pay NI contributions (due to my income being in the form of a stipend) I am not entitled to any maternity pay. Doing a bit of research, I have found out that the research trust that funds me expects my uni to treat me as an employee with regards to maternity pay, but it is really at the discretion of my employer. And I know that my shitty employer wouldn't be up for that!

MyGoldenNotebook · 10/09/2011 12:57

Synchronised POAS-ing on Thursday it is wants :)

Sorry about the migrain scrambled - It's rubbish being in pain with little ones about about. So AF is late eh? I've been secretly thinking I'm pregnant every month for the past two years. We only started ttc in May Wink But you never know - sperm can live for up to 6 days can't it? And you could have ovulated early ...

It's funny I didn't really have any symptoms at all with DS (other than tiredness) until I was about 15 weeks, so I don't know why I'm looking for them now. I am very tired this week but I have also gone back to work and it's been pretty intense so I imagine that that has had something to do with it! Anyway no symptoms obviously means I am completely pregnant as we all knew anyway!

Wants3 · 10/09/2011 17:17

puts down soothing cream for everyone's tender hooks as you may have gathered I have decided not to test yet-sorry! DH went out and bought me some ginger biscuits to help with my nausea but also bought a double pack of CBD because they were on offer! That tested my resolve!:)

MyGoldenNotebook · 10/09/2011 19:38

Evening All!

Hope everyone is feeling well? Just found out that my SIL is pregnant by accident. I'm really, genuinely thrilled for her but Sad for me. She will be an amazing mum and I can't wait to be an auntie!

I'm not feeling it this month. Surely I would have some sort of symptom?

Ginger biscuits wants? I really can't wait for you to test :)

musicalmrs · 10/09/2011 19:45

Golden- both happy for your SIL, but sorry to hear that. I'm in a similar situation - not with a family member, but a close friend. While you try and be happy, it's still sad (and I'm still finding it difficult - mainly because I'm trying to stay realistic rather than be too excited!).

Wants - I admire your resolve, with tests in the house! I lasted precisely 6 days. Your symptoms are sounding incredibly promising though.. :)

dreamfeeder · 10/09/2011 19:47

Does she not know the Rules about never mentioning Pregnant By Accident?!? Good for her, and it'll be you this month golden, it ain't over yet. I didn't think i'd get one- weeing in night, but when up anyway with DD when i'd have a wee regardless as I was up anyway, and slightly more CM were my only symptoms. Mild nausea on a couple of occasions but nothing out of the ordinary. That was it. Fingers crossed those pee sticks know what they're in for!!

wants, thursday you say? good strong line for you then Grin

MyGoldenNotebook · 10/09/2011 19:54

Just broke down in the kitchen with DH - feel a little better for it. First time I've creid about ttc.

Thanks for your kind words :)

Wants3 · 10/09/2011 20:23

Hugs for notebook a good cry can make you feel better and ready to face everything that this TTC malarky throws at you, including your own BFP very soon.

munkiii · 10/09/2011 20:35

Have started popping those folic acid tablets again ladies!

Can't WAIT to be joining you properly in 7 weeks Grin

As you were

duke748 · 10/09/2011 21:04

Hi all.

Big hugs to Golden.

Can I join the POAS-ers on Thursday? I'd only be 9 DPO so very early, but it was a Thursday I got my BFP with my DS, so it feels lucky to me plus I have a zillion wee sticks in the bathroom which are begging to be used.

Good luck to all.

dreamfeeder · 10/09/2011 21:12

Bah. Folic acid. What kind of responsible grown up needs maybe to remind them to take it?!

ScrambledSmegs · 10/09/2011 21:26

Oh, big Golden.

Sorry, but I'm pretty sure that AF is just taking her own sweet time. Am spotting slightly and feel crampy, so 'tis imminent. And lets face it, DH would have to have super-powered sperm to hang around waiting for an egg for so long!

Wants - gah! Dammit, anybody, I need my POAS fix soooooon! Grin

Sn0wGoose · 11/09/2011 09:28

Golden :(

I'm now officially 3DPO according to FF :o
I have sore nips but that must be a symptom of ov'ing rather than being pg, as it's so early........ but a symptom's a symptom! :o

CakePigeon · 11/09/2011 09:36

Sorry to hear you are feeling Sad about ttc golden I have cried about it a little more each month. Hope you and DH had a nice cuddle and a cup of tea and you feel better soon.

Hope it is a good kind of spotting scrambled and not the nasty impending AF kind!

I am 1/2 dpo today depending on which opk I choose to trust. Let the waiting begin! DH said he hates these two weeks waiting to find out but I quite like them as I can wander round thinking I might be pg!

Sn0wGoose · 11/09/2011 09:46

I'm with your DH cake! If I walk around like I'm pg when it's crushing when AF arrives. Maybe I just need to brook no argument and be way more positive.

It's going to be really tough not to poas before the 22nd...

MyGoldenNotebook · 11/09/2011 11:17

I think the 2ww is my least favourite part of the cycle actually. Although I'm doing a little better this month thanks to you lovely ladies :)

Wants3 · 11/09/2011 12:25

Oooookaaaay! I relented and bought a FR.......BFP! And breathe!

thelittlefriend · 11/09/2011 12:50

Wants! You're fully pee stick endorsed!! Congratulations, I'm thrilled for you x

scarletfingernail · 11/09/2011 13:06

MyGoldenNotebook · 11/09/2011 13:09

musicalmrs · 11/09/2011 13:10

Wooooooo Wants! Congratulations! :D We all knew it was inevitable...

Wants3 · 11/09/2011 13:50

Thanks guys! It's only because I had so many sypmtoms that I decided to test early- women's intuition and all that. I didnt have any with DS's so maybe this one is pink?! May 22. You are the first people to know because you are all so friendly and supportive. I will be sending all my BFP vibes your way. BTW when do I get my Segway?
